Chapter 2: Red, White, & Black:
Ben's POV:
Black Panther and I knocked on the door and Mr. Bradley answers. "Can I help you," asks Mr. Bradley.
. . .
We asked him questions about the Man-Ape. "I have no idea why some monkey-man would come after me," says Mr. Bradley.
"An ape, actually," says Black Panther.
"Either way, I have no idea," says Mr. Bradley.
There's something weird going on. This guy doesn't seem to be bothered by the superhero asking him questions. I took a look at Black Panther, and he seems suspicious too. Black Panther then attempts to punch Mr. Bradley, but Mr. Bradley blocks. "I thought so," says Black Panther, "you are a super-soldier!"
"Mind blown," I said.
"You caught me," says Mr. Bradley, "Isiah Bradley aka Captain America!"
"Woah, I thought there have been only two Captain Americas," I said, "the First Avenger and the Falcon!"
"There was also the man who now calls himself USAgent," says Black Panther.
"Oh yeah," I said, "I forgot about him."
"And everyone forgot about me," says Mr. Bradley, "after Steve Rogers was reported lost, someone found a way to make a new formula, so they looked for a new Captain America. I volunteered, but they were hesitant to accept me."
"Because you are black," says Black Panther.
"You wouldn't know how that feels," says Mr. Bradley, "being a king of people like us, but here, back in the day, it wasn't easy."
"But now we have a black Captain America," I said.
"I know," says Mr. Bradley, "take that! They eventually decided no one should find out about a black Captain America, so I got fired and have been hiding since. So, how'd you find out?"
"Your build," says Black Panther, "for an old man, you have the build of a young man."
"The muscles gave it away," says Mr. Bradley.
"Wait, how many Captain Americas were there," I asked.
Mr. Bradley then things about it. "Good question."
"What was Man-Ape after," asks Black Panther.
"One thing about us Captains," says Mr. Bradley, "we always have something borrowed from Wakanda!"
"You have Vibranium," says Black Panther.
"I have my own shield," says Mr. Bradley, "but it was stolen years ago by the Frightful Four!"
"Klaw," says Black Panther.
For those of you who don't know, the Frightful Four were a team of villains, Wizard, Trapster, Klaw, and Thundra. Spider-Man fought them all. Trapster was one of his most recurring villains. Klaw had a history with Black Panther.
"Luckily, someone stole it from Klaw," says Mr. Bradley, "I believe his name was... Power Man!"
"We must go to Avengers Tower," says Black Panther.
