Chapter 6: Have a Blessed Kwanzaa:

Ben's POV:

We were all on our way to find Man-Ape.

"How do we find him," asks Simon.

"I can locate the shield," says Iron Man.

"Sorry I never returned it to you," says Power Man.

"I never really liked that thing," says Mr. Bradley.

"There he is," says Cap.

"What," asks Man-Ape, "what is this, the Black Avengers... plus one white boy?"

"A white boy who's seeing red and is going to make you black and blue," I said, "I'm feeling colorful." I then turned to Blitz Wolfer. I then howled at Man-Ape, but he blocks with the sound absorbing shield. Power Man then punches him. Then Iron Man picks him up and throws him. Then Simon's robot suit kicks him. Then Cap and Mr. Bradley both kicked him. Then Kid-Arachnid webs him. Then Black Panther takes the shield and hits him with it. Then I gave out another howl and take him down. "That ends the monkey business!"

. . .

Man-Ape was being taken in by S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Good job," says Fury, "now, if you excuse me, I have work to do."

"Fury, it's Kwanzaa," says Black Panther, "take a break."

Fury then sighs. "Fine," says Fury, "but I won't be having fun."

"Fun and Fury go together like snow and summer," I said. Fury then leaves.

"I should go to," says Black Panther.

"Before you go," I said, "I have a request."

. . .

I returned to the party. "Ben, where have you been," asks Jonsey.

"Had to stop a man in a monkey suit," I said, "and I brought a guest."

"You must be Jonsey," says Black Panther, "Ben has told me so much about you."

Jonsey was so shocked, he fainted.

"Umoja," says Jonesy's Grandma as she lights the candle.

"What's that mean," I asked.

"On the first day, we light the sole black candle at the center of our kinara in honor of the principle Umoja, meaning unity," says Jonsey's Grandma.

I then thought about the heroes that united to take down Man-Ape. I gotta say, I'm having a lot more respect for black people.
