Just because Starfleet thinks they're saving money (or some other bullshit excuse), that doesn't mean they can't spare some fabric to make sure women are respected just as much as male officers. Summary of Part 2: A few weeks after returning from their trip to Iowa, Jim is acting like nothing ever happened and Leonard, though patient, is confused. Eventually, Jim admits something that happened in his past that explains why he's been holding them back.
