Forever Falls was quiet; not a sound could be heard except for the growls of Grimm and Demi Beast that lurked in the deeper parts of the forest. Over by a cliff, a boy could be seen. He stood 6.5 with a messy mop of blond hair that covered his eyes. His name was Jaune Arc.

Tearing into his final Grimm and ripping his sword from its gut, he threw the creature at a small pack of lesser Grimm, sending them off a cliff. Sighing, he sat down, not bothering to look back at the mountain of decaying corpses.

Pulling out his scroll, he saw that its aura was a quarter full. Shaking his head, he opened up his photo album and scrolled past numerous photos, each one making him smile.

"How I wish things were different," he said, his voice tired.

Finding the photo, I could only give a sad smile looking at the photo of his team and team RWB. Looking back, he couldn't help but think of the past before all this happened.

Beep!Beep!!Beep!

Slamming his scroll shut, a messy mop of blond hair grabbed the scroll and said, "Crap, it's six." Getting up, he looked around to see that he was alone, "probably at the auditorium.".

After cleaning up and putting on his beacon attire, he began to make his way to the auditorium, where Ozpin would be introducing the transfer teams from the other kingdoms.

Squeezing past the crowded hallways of students, Jaune couldn't help but think about the kingdoms participating in the vital festival. He knew that the kingdoms of Atlas, Vacuo, and Minstrel would participate, but he wasn't expecting to hear that Arcadia was also competing in the tournament.

Making his way to the auditorium, he started to look for his team. Looking forward, he spotted Phyra waving at him. "Jaune over here," waved Phyra. Making his way towards the minstrel champion, he greets Phyra with a goofy smile. "Hey, Phyra," said the blonde. She was about to reply back when their eyes were drawn to the stage as Headmaster Ozpin began to speak.

coughing into the mic, everyone's attention drew to the headmaster. "Everyone, if I could have your attention, please, I will be introducing the students participating in this year's vytal tournament.

Many of the students fell asleep as the he spoke and told them of the teams participating, such as SSSN, ABRN, from Haven, and BRNZ, NDGO, from Shade. Atlas jaune wants to be sure of, as the kingdom hasn't said much about their own team.

What Ozpin said next drew Jaunes full attention, as did any student who decided it would be a good idea to sleep. Now let us welcome a team from a kingdom we have not heard of in many of a year, Team Gilgamesh, and their leader, Johnathan Arc".

People held their breath as a large figure stepped into the spotlight. He stood 6.7 with large, wide shoulders. He wore the standard Arcadian military uniform, which was black with gold trimmings.

"Greetings, my fellow huntsmen and huntresses alike," he said, his voice traveling through the auditorium. His eyes scanned the crowd of students, noting some of the stronger ones. Some were equal to his own level, but his eyes stopped on a pair of dark cobalt eyes staring right at him.

Smiling, he began by saying, "We would like to thank headmaster Ozpin and the great kingdoms of remnant for inviting us to the 40th Vytal festival." His light voice seemed to echo across the room, catching many off-guard and surprised by how he sounded. Turning his head, he spoke to Ozpin. "Sir," he said politely.

Stepping back. "Thank you, Mr. Arc," said Ozpin. "Know that if I could have your attention, I will be explaining the rules for this year's festival.".

As Ozpin talked and the students listened, Nora began asking random questions with enthusiasm. "Wow, look at him!" said Nora. "Is his hair really gold?" questioned Nora. Here, teammates couldn't help but shake their heads at the cherry-bomber questions.

Shaking his head but smirking, Ren spoke, "Nora, is that really what you should be thinking of?" he said in a soft tone. "Aww, you know me so well, but seriously, I never heard of Arcadia before now??? " she said with a thoughtful expression.

Phyra was enjoying her teammates banter; she couldn't help but wonder wh she'd never been to Arcadia and there wasn't much information on the kingdom in general.

Letting the thought pass, she couldn't help but notice Jaune's tense expression. "Jaune, is everything alright? You look troubled," asked Phyra with a concerned look.

Turning his head, he gave a weary smile. "Yeah, everything's alright. I just wasn't expecting to see Johnathan. Here is all," he said in a hesitant tone. This not only surprised Phyra and his team but also the students, who seemed to catch what he said.

"Wait, do you know him?" she said in a confused tone. Jaune could only chuckle a bit, scratching his cheek. "We kinda we grew up together; our parents were friends; they lived in the capital while we lived at the border." He said he was not meeting her eyes.

He was soon taken by surprise when a pair of turquoise eyes suddenly appeared in front of him. "Why didn't you tell us about this fearless leader?" said Nora quizically as she began poking at Gonza's cheek.

"I think what she means to say," said Ren as he gently pulled Nora back. "Why didn't you say anything about Arcadia?" Ren said, anticipating a response from the blond knight. Taking a breath, "I haven't said anything because there wasn't a need too, he said, fiddling his thumbs. "Plus, I've never been to the capital, so I can't really say I've lived there.".

Shaking her head, Phyra simply walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder. "June, we understand, but next time, please tell us; remember, we're a team." She said it in a friendly tone. Nodding his head in agreement, he couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, your right, thanks, Phyra," he said truthfully. "No problem now, at least head to class or we'll be late.". The team soon headed towards Mr. Ports class with haste, as they didn't want to get chewed out and suffer a long-winded speech, not noticing the pair of burning red eyes staring at their retreating figures.

Grimm studies were coming to an end when Yellow spotted Team Gilgamesh, and by the looks of it they spotted them. Johnathan began walking forward to Julien, so he did the same. As they neared each other up, Nora kept asking Julien questions.

"So do you know these people, jaune-jaune?" asked Nora. "Sorry, their leader is Johnathan Sol Arc, the current Champion of Arcadia, similar to Phyra." Phyra was surprised by the information of another champion, but what intrigued her the most was his middle name, "Sol Jaune." Asked Phyra, confused by the surname, "Oh, it means he's the next head of his clan," he answered. Before Phyra could inquire further, they made it to Team Gilgamesh.

"Greetings, Champion Jonathan." Jaune said with a respectful bow to the taller boy. "Likewise," said Jonathan neutrally. Walking up, Phyra began to introduce herself to "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Sol. "Taking a good look at the huntsman, she couldn't help but notice his purple eyes and the gold around his pupils.

"Oh, what unique eyes you have, Mr. Sol!" A surprised expression appeared on Johnathan's face: "You now know our customs, Ms. Nikos." Shaking her head, Phyra gestured to Jaune, who gave a small wave. He frowned slightly, figuring that jaune was of no threat.

"Likewise to you as well, Ms. Nikos; oh my, and your eyes are just as vibrant," he said, taking note of how her emerald green seemed to glow. Phyra took the compliment well and soon felt a rush of heat on her cheeks.j

Jaune, seeing a blush on Phyra's cheeks, couldn't help but frown slightly as an odd feeling spread through his chest. Ignoring the feeling for now, he was about to say something, but a sudden voice caught his attention.

"Oh, my Oum jaune, is that you?" Said a surprised voice.

"Jean," said a surprised jaune. "I wasn't expecting to see you here," a frown formed on her face. "What? You weren't expecting to see your favorite sister," she said, giving him a knowing look. "Was your scroll on silent mode or something? Mom and the rest of our siblings have been worried sick." jaune could only shrink as she bore into him with ruby-red eyes. "Now we—" she was about to continue when a hand grabbed her shoulder.

"Jean it's time to go. Johnathan was called to the headmaster's office," said a soft yet stern voice. Looking over, I saw the third member of Gilgamesh, Sarah Arc. She wore the standard military uniform of Arcadia but with silver trims. She gave him one look before dismissing his presence, pulling Jean with her. They turned to the crowd, then disappeared into the mess of students.

Unsure of what just happened, he went to do the same, finding his team waiting for him. smiling his way, he returned it by giving a very big happy smile. Making their way to their next class, Jaune wouldn't know of the events that would change his life.
