Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Pokémon. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo and a few others.

Jack enjoyed the ocean. It teemed with Pokémon which he would spend his time researching.

"Where is he?" Jack questioned with amusement in his tone, a single Pokeball hung from his belt.

Jack was a junior researcher from Sinnoh. The reason he was going to Galar? He held in his hand with amusement.

"I can't believe a professor around here would send job applications." Jack said and looked off the flyer in his hand.

"Golem, Gol!" Jack heard from over his shoulder and rolled his eyes.

Colton had only brought 2 of his Pokémon. Others had been either temporary who traveled with him till he was finished with Sinnoh.

The first was Jack which he had since it was a Geodude. The Pokémon was restless which Jack chalked up to wanting to battle with someone. It was a very hardheaded Pokémon.

The other Pokémon was one that was mostly exclusive to Sinnoh hung from his belt.

"Gol!" Golem roared which made Jack bend down to pat the boulder Pokémon. It looked up at its owner and rubbed its head against his hand.

"Do you always want to battle someone?" Jack questioned as he cracked his fingers and sighed. "You've been rowdy since we got on this ship." Jack stated and brushed off his arms.

Golem huffed and crossed its stubby arms which made Jack chuckle with amusement. It was a very stubborn Pokémon, but very loyal when it came down to it.

"Gol?" Golem questioned as it looked out at the ocean. Jack held out his hand to stop the Pokémon.

"No, you're not going in the ocean." Jack muttered to Golem. "You'd drown anyway. Big stubborn doofus." Jack added and patted the Pokémon on the head.

He sighed and straightened up before slicking back his hair back. Jack also brushed off his red jacket and orangish sneakers. Jack hummed and rolled his eyes.

"Don't make me take Toxicroak out of his Pokeball." Jack stated with amusement and tapped the ball which hunt from his belt.

Golem huffed and crossed his arms as he leaned on the guardrail. His other Pokémon was very energetic. Jack guessed that he'd be miserable aboard the ship.

Then again? Jack hadn't really thought of what his Pokémon would do when they got to Galar. He had a meeting to go to and he already knew Golem would want to seek out a person to fight.

"Oy, you guys are going to give me a headache." Jack muttered to himself and rolled his Pokeball around on his finger. "Seriously, one wants to fight… The other acts like he's full of sugar every single second. It's like babysitting a pair of kids." Jack added as Golem wondered around the ship.

Jack blinked as he heard a shrill cry as he blinked and looked up.

It was a small blue and yellowish Pokémon with beady red eyes. It let out another cry and coasted alongside the ship on its wings.

Jack watched as the bird Pokémon cawed at him before flapping once more and pulling ahead of the ship.

"Stubborn little guy." Jack muttered as he blinked and watched the bird like Pokémon. It turned over his shoulder and gave him one last caw.

Jack hummed and took it as a sign he was finally in Galar as he hadn't seen the bird like Pokémon. It didn't live in Sinnoh, that was for sure.

"Hmm." Jack put in as he rubbed at his chin and narrowed his ocean blue eyes. "Maybe I'll bump into you again." Jack added and dusted off his pants.

Jack brushed off his hands and sighed. He wondered how much longer the trip into Galar would be. This trip had been way too long and he was beginning to get tired.

"Gol!" Golem yelled before Jack turned to the boulder like Pokémon. "Gol!" Golem hissed as it pointed a finger.

Jack looked over his shoulder to see that they had arrived which made him smile. He hummed as he cracked his fingers before he looked down at Golem who hummed and looked up at his owner.

Golem hopped around the boat, finally happy to be in a new land.

"I'm not fighting someone right now." Jack put in which made Golem pout and look at his owner.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that Jack's Pokémon list will change down the road. Next chapter will be in 2-8 weeks and will show Jack meeting Sonia and show another appearance of the bird Pokémon. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter should be hopefully 900 words or so with 1200 down the road.
