An email from The Clean Up Crew in Fazbear Entertainment:
To whom it may concern:
We, The Clean Up Crew, are requesting that Monty to be put somewhere else while we clean his room. We have heard the rumors about the "missing janitors." We know what happened to them, and we don't want to end up like them. So, The Cleaning Crew and I thought to make a deal with you. Instead of revealing one of your secrets and suing you, we propose you put Monty somewhere so that he doesn't create another "accident," so we can work. Also we were hoping that you give us a raise for having to deal with Monty for trashing his room every night.
Thanks.
Sincerely, The Clean Up Crew

Fazbear Entertainment Management Observation Notes:
•The Monty Gator animatronic was seen returning a child to the daycare. This isn't the first time we have seen this behavior from the animatronic.
• We are having Clean Up repair his room after he trashed the place...again. Clean Up has requested for him to be put somewhere else while they repair/clean it.
• One idea: putting Monty in the Daycare after the mall has closed for the night. We offer this option because the Sundrop animatronic and him seem to get along.
• Sometimes Monty is seen walking to the Daycare on his own accord. His behavior seems to have changed with the Daycare assistant.
• None of the mechanics want to be near Monty. (Not since the last few incidents.) We hope he would be fine in the Daycare for the time being.
• Need to discuss what to do with Clean Up Crew after their last e-mail.

Worker 1: Why did they give a robot sharp teeth? I dont get it.
Worker 2: He's a gator, Mark.
Worker 1: Yeah I know, but-
Worker 2: The others have sharp teeth too.
Worker 1: Except for the duck
Worker 2: I think she's a chicken. Chica Chicken? From the original-
Worker 1: Whatever bird she is... I'm just saying, if I were a kid going to this place, I'd be terrified by Monty. Anything with sharp teeth and red eyes is scary as fuck.
Worker 2: I don't know, man. I mean, the spider DJ doesn't have sharp teeth and I think he's the scariest out of all of them. Did they really need to make him twenty feet tall?
Worker 1: Yeah, I guess you are right, Matt. If that thing had sharp teeth, I'd have quit my job the moment I saw it.
Worker 2: What makes you not quit now?
Worker 1: The free pizza
Worker 2: ...The pizza isn't fr-
Worker 1: shhhhhhh

Location: Sundrop's Daycare Center
Monty woke up and found himself standing in the Daycare. He had no recollection of walking to the Daycare. He remembered leaving the Daycare before the Mall closed...Did he have an automatic system shutdown? He checked his notifications...No...He just had a small security upgrade.
Suddenly, Sunny appeared in front of him. He waved his hands excitedly in front of his snout, his bells jingling loudly. "Heellllooooooooo Monty! What are you doing back here again? Did you forget something?"
Monty shook his head. "No...I don't think so. I remember leaving the Daycare today...Am I really here?" he asked, turning to Sunny.
Sunny blinked. "Are you assuming this is what humans call a dream?" he asked. Monty hesitated. "Uh...yeah?"
Sunny waved his hand at the very thought. "We can't dream, Monty. We don't have that in our code!" Sunny shook his head, giggling. "You are a silly one, Sunshine!" Monty felt his servors heat up from the pet name.
Sunny came up and gave Monty a hug. Monty's body seemed to relax into the hug. "Then...if I'm really here...How did I get here?" he asked.
Sunny looked up at the gator. "I saw the Mechanics bring you in here. I heard them mention something about cleaning up your room," he explained as he stopped hugging him.
Monty raised his head up in realization. That's right. It was cleaning day. He totally forgot. He was so busy with his Lost and Found side gig that he forgot about the usual rising anger of The Clean Up Crew coming into his territory and messing with his stuff.
Monty felt a boiling anger rising up from inside him. He gritted his sharp teeth and clenched his fists at his sides. They were touching his stuff! Wait...did they take...?
He quickly turned his back to Sunny before opening his chest cavity and feeling around for a specific item inside. When his fingers brushed up against it, he sighed with relief.
Sunny placed his hand on Monty's shoulder from behind, causing the gator to jump, closing his chest cavity very fast and turning back around to face the Daycare assistant. Sunny beamed up at him with his happy go lucky smile.
"Well I'm glad to see you here, Monty! It's nice to have a friend in the daycare! It'll be like a slumber party! We can stay up late and watch movies, play games, solve puzzles, drink Fazzy drinks till our heads explode! And! and! and-!"
Monty placed his hands on Sunny's shoulders before the Daycare assistant had a shutdown from getting too excited. "Allright. Calm down, Astro Clown..."
Sunny's eyes lit up at the mention of the pet name. "You rhymed!"
Monty sighed to himself. This was going to be a long night.
Sunny moved away from Monty and did a backflip before doing a theatrical pose. His bells jingled softly. "This is going to be the best Slumber Party ever! There's only one rule in the Daycare! Keep the lights on!"
Monty felt his gears stop for a moment when he was reminded of the Halloween incident. A group of kids brought a ouija board, which caused the ghost of a bad man to come out and possess Sunny. It was a traumatic experience for everyone. Monty still felt bad after that incident. He let the kids play their little game. But that's all it was supposed to be. A game!
Monty sighed, suddenly feeling very claustrophobic in the Daycare. Sunny saw Monty looking down at the ground, causing his smile to slip from his face.
"What's wrong, Sunbeam? You not happy to be here?" he asked, he began to hunch over in an insecure way, and began to fumble with his long bone white fingers in front of him.
Monty shook his head, causing his messy long red hair to gently slap his snout. "No...I mean yes, I am happy to be here with you, Sunny! It's just..." he rubbed the back of his head. "I was just reminded of Halloween when you said to keep the lights on...and you got hurt..." he admitted, wincing at his own words.
Sunny did a cartwheel up to Monty, his gold bells jingling like crazy. "It wasn't your fault, Monty! We didn't know! Just keep the lights on and everything will be A-Ok!" he said cheerfully. Monty stared down at Sunny, a smile coming to his face. Sunny's smile was infectious. Then Monty's smile slipped when another thought came to him.
"Sunny...have you ever left the Daycare?" Monty asked. Sunny placed his hands up above his head.
"Why would I? I have everything I need right here!"
"Yeah but...doesn't it get a little boring seeing the same thing over and over? Do you ever do Night Rounds?" Sunny placed his hands down and cocked his head to the side. His bells jingling.
"What's that?"
"...You...walk around the Mall. Making sure everything is in its place...and there's no intruders."
"I make sure everything is ok in here!"
"So you have no idea what the Mall looks like at all?"
"Nope!"
Monty thought for a moment. "What if I showed you?"
"Noooooooo thank you, Monty! I am perfectly happy being in here!"
Monty frowned a little in frustration. Sunny was being stubborn, but Monty wasn't going to give up. "I can show you my Gator Golf area and teach you how to swing a club," he offered. "You'll be learning from the best of the best," he said grinning, revealing his sharp teeth. Sunny giggled.
"It sounds very tempting, Monty...but I can't go anywhere where the lights are off!" Sunny said, trying to sound cheerful, but Monty saw his metal rays shrink a little.
He wondered if it was because of his counterpart, Moon. Were he and Moon the same? Or were they two different robots sharing the same body?
"What if I made something that allowed you to go out without being in the dark? Then would you go out with me?" he asked. Then realized what he said and quickly added. "O-outside the D-Daycare and play mini g-golf!"
Sunny felt the tips of his rays burning. He placed his hands on his cheeks and smiled, trying to contain his excitement. Then he opened his pearly white eyes to Monty.
"You could do that? You know how I can walk outside the Daycare without..." his voice faltered, but still sounded hopeful. Monty hesitated on answering as he quickly looked around the Daycare. He actually didn't think that Sunny would ask him that. Now he needed to figure out how the hell to make it possible. His eyes landed on a few boxes next to the office desk on the other side.
"What's that?" he asked.
Sunny looked over to the boxes. "Oh! That's the Lost and Found! Kids sometimes leave things here and forget them. So I put them in the boxes! I forgot to put them away because I saw you being carted in here!" Sunny exclaimed.
Monty walked over to the boxes and began rummaging through them. He found a red and white umbrella inside, slightly broken. He grabbed it and looked at it for a moment, then he turned his focus to the lights above him.
Slowly, an idea began to form in his head. He opened his chest cavity and pulled out one of his battery packs. Then he grabbed the string of lights and attached them to the inside of the umbrella. Once he was done, he plugged the lights into the battery pack and placed the pack in the inside wire cage of the umbrella. The lights flickered on and shined yellow light down from inside the umbrella.
Sunny gasped. "Oh my stars! What is it?" he asked in wonder. Monty stared down at his cobbled together creation.
"It's a...Um...Ligh...um...Sum...Sun...brella. Sunbrella! It's a Sunbrella." Monty handed the Sunbrella over to Sunny, who stared at it in awe. He lifted it over his head, out of reach of his sun rays. A big smile appeared on Sunny's face.
"I love it!" Sunny shouted excitedly as he twirled around with it.
Monty smiled at Sunny. It brought him joy to see him happy. "Wanna try it out?" he asked pointing over to the exit. Sunny stopped twirling. He hesitated where he stood with the Sunbrella. Monty placed a hand out to Sunny.
"Come on...you trust me right?" he asked, immediately regretting those words. That's usually how they got into trouble. Surprisingly, Sunny took his hand and held the Sunbrella underneath both of them. Illuminated in the soft yellow glow of the lights. They reminded Monty of stars.
Monty and Sunny walked together till they made it to the double wooden doors of the exit of the Daycare. Monty pushed one of the doors open and gestured for Sunny to go first.
Sunny clutched the handle of the Sunbrella with both hands, knees slightly trembling. He stared out to the inky black darkness that stretched out before him. Sunny's rays shrank into his head as the Sunbrella sank lower towards his body, keeping it above his head at all times. The lights illuminated his body, keeping him safe from the darkness. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, then took one brave step forward.
Nothing happened.
Sunny opened his eyes and looked down. He was still himself. Sunny noticed that the Sunbrella created a wide circle of light around him. He took a few more steps forward into the dark. He was still in the circle of light.
Sunny felt a laugh coming. He made a small giggle, then a chuckle...then it eventually came out as a gut busting laugh of pure realization and happiness. He was free! He wasnt confined to the Daycare! He could go anywhere in the Pizzeria! He began to jump, twirl and dance around happily, laughing in the process. A gold being of light in the heart of the ink black darkness. Untouched.
Sunny stopped when he realized he had almost forgotten someone. "Come on, Monty! Let's go play Gator Golf!" he said excitedly. He ran over, grabbed Monty's hand, and pulled him along. Monty gasped in surprise from the sudden change of pace and tried keeping up with the sun animatronic, mindful to not run into the Sunbrella.
After a few yards, Sunny began to slow down when he realized that he had no idea which way the Monty's Gator Golf was located. Monty chuckled and finally took the lead, still holding Sunny's hand. Sunny followed right behind Monty, keeping the Sunbrella over him at all times.
As they walked, Sunny kept stopping and staring at every single new thing. He patted every head of the little yellow "Wet Floor" bots they passed by. He waved to all the security bots that roamed around in the areas. Sunny gasped out loud and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the main stage.
"Oh my stars! Is that where you perform?" he asked excitedly. Monty stopped and looked over to the main stage. "Uh huh. That's where I rock out. Sing songs for all the little run-er...kiddos." he said. He couldn't help but to smirk at Sunny's shocked expression on his face as he stared up at the huge stage and the giant holograms silently moving.
"I could give you a show some time," he said, winking. Sunny smiled happily. "I'd love that!"
Eventually they made it to the front entrance of the Gator Golf area. Sunny gasped in excitement at the bright green and purple neon lights blinking above them. Once they were inside, Sunny looked around at the layout of the place.
A lazy emerald green river snaked around the mini golf courses. Robot gators growled as they lunged halfway out of the water. Green and purple neon lights glowed on the walls. There were so many statues and cut-outs of Monty swinging a golf club. There was even a kid playground in the shape of Monty's face and the slide was his tongue. Palm trees and other plants were everywhere. Lights were strung up to imitate fireflies winking in and out of the trees.
"It's like a real jungle!" Sunny said excitedly. Monty smirked as he went to go get their goofballs and golf clubs.
The two played one round of mini golf. Monty showed Sunny how to swing a golf club, and how to hit the ball. Sunny at first had a hard time trying to hold the Sunbrella while playing, then Monty offered to hold the Sunbrella over Sunny's head. Sunny liked the idea, especially since that meant Monty would be standing closer to him.
Sunny would hit the ball too hard and it would end up either in the river or stuck up in one of the palm trees.
"Oopsy daisy! I guess I don't know my own strength!" Sunny would say. Monty would sigh and go get him another ball.
Eventually, Sunny got the hang of it and was able to watch the ball go through the obstacle course and end up on the other side. One time he got a hole in one.
"I got one!" Sunny said excitedly, jumping up and down. Monty grinned and put both arms up. "Rock and Roll!" he said excitedly.
At the end of the game, Sunny had lost by 108 points, but he didn't seem to mind. He was way too excited that he was out of the Daycare.
"That was so much fun! I loved Gator Golf! What are we going to do next?" asked Sunny excitedly, causing Monty's eyebrows to lift up. He didn't think this far ahead. He didn't think this was ever going to happen. Monty thought for a moment as they walked out of the Gator Golf.
"Erm...there's the arcades...Fazbear Blast, but that ones not as fun as my Gator Golf...I think DJ Music Man is awake-"
"DJ Music Man? You mean like with singing and dancing?" Sunny asked excitedly, jumping up and down. The light from the Sunbrella bathed Sunny in a golden warm glow.
Monty slowly nodded his head as he stared at Sunny. "Uh...yeah. I think he does Karaoke-"
"Lead the way!" Sunny said, barely containing his excitement as he gently pushed Monty forward.
Monty lead the way over towards DJ Music Man's area. It was located in the Fazcade in the west arcade area. The room was huge with colorful lights and fog everywhere. Cartoon images of the Glamrock band were seen on the walls dancing.
DJ Music Man was there in all his giant glory. He was a giant spider animatronic with six legs, possibly thirty feet tall and twenty feet wide. He had teeth that looked like piano keys and glossy black eyes, which watched the two smaller animatronics as they entered into his ballroom. DJMM turned down the music he was playing and grinned a wide grin at Monty and Sunny.
He didn't exactly talk, he made musical notes that sounded a little like talking. Thankfully Monty could understand him.
"Hey, MM. I'm doing good. Just showing Sunny around the place. He's never left the Daycare before," Monty explained.
DJMM looked over to Sunny, giving him a wave with one of his giant white gloved hands. Sunny smiled and waved back. "I was wondering if you could set us up for Karaoke, please?" Sunny asked.
DJMM smile grew wider as he nodded his head and made a few musical note sounds before turning away and setting something up. DJMM made more musical noises, making Sunny turn his head to look at Monty for a translation.
"He says that the kids never ask for Karaoke. Says that they are too shy to stand up in front of everyone to sing. He's glad you wanted to do Karaoke," Monty explained.
DJMM turned back around and gave Sunny a microphone that was very small in his giant hand. A giant screen appeared next to DJMM and had Fazbear Karaoke on it. There were a lot of kids songs on the karaoke list. Some for preschoolers like The Alphabet song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Then there were songs for older kids like Foxy's Pirate Song, Freddy's Funtime Sing Along, Chica's Bake A Cake Song...
Sunny finally found one he wanted to sing and selected it. DJMM turned the music up and began to play the song.
Sunny stood on the stage with both the microphone and the Sunbrella in each hand. Sunny began to sing the song. It started out slow at first, then began to pick up. Monty instantly recognized it. It was one of the songs Monty and the other Glamrocks played on stage. It was the only song where Monty had a solo part.
Sure enough, Sunny got to the solo part of the song and began to sing it exactly how Monty sings it. Monty just stared up at Sunny in shock. He knew every part of that song by heart. It was incredible. Monty found himself smiling up at Sunny. He was really good. Suddenly he felt DJMM's glossy black eyes staring at him, and quickly looked away.
Sunny nodded to Monty to come on up and sing with him. Monty smiled casually and shook his head. He sings that song so many times on stage-
A giant hand scooped him up from behind and placed him right next to Sunny. Monty stumbled a little from the sudden transport. He turned to glare at DJMM, who just looked away, whistling an innocent tune. Sunny placed the microphone between them so they could sing together. Monty's solo came on one last time and Sunny and Monty sang it together.
After the song was over, they sang a few more songs. Having to share the microphone, their heads brushed up against each others. After that, DJMM decided to play some funky retro music. He turned up the lights way up to max so it was bright enough for Sunny to not have to use the Sunbrella, and dance. Sunny twirled, did a few backflips, frontflips, cartwheels, the Moonwalk, and the Worm. Monty didn't know a lot of dance moves, since he usually had his guitar in his hands when he was on stage. So, he just did the Robot next to Sunny. Sunny laughed when he saw what Monty was doing.
"Oh come on, Sunflower. Surely you know more dance moves then that!" he laughed. Monty chuckled and began to breakdance a little. When his head was turned, he felt a push on his back from a certain giant hand again. Monty stumbled and found himself close to Sunny. Sunny looked up at him with stars in his eyes.
Monty and Sunny's hands were clasped together. The two hesitated where they stood, but were brought out of their thoughts when they heard the music change. DJMM had one hand over his headphones, the other giving them a thumbs up. The tips of Sunny's rays were hot to the touch as he took Monty's hands and began to sway them. Gradually, Monty's feet began to move, then he was able to dance to the beat of the music. The two animatronics danced together under the colorful bright lights. Twisting and twirling.
Monty spun Sunny around and then dipped him. Sunny giggled from being dipped. Then he grabbed Monty and dipped him back. Monty's face began to overheat when Sunny's faceplate got close to his snout, but he played it off by flashing a big grin. They both laughed and turned away in embarrassment, but still held each other in their arms.
After the song was over, the two animatronics thanked DJMM for the music and Karaoke. DJMM waved them goodbye and began playing another song. Sunny held his Sunbrella over his head as he and Monty walked out, hand in hand. Monty turned his head back over to DJMM. The giant spider was smiling at him, then gave him a thumbs up and a wink.
Monty turned away, his face turning redder than his hair.
Afterwards they went to the Arcade Area where they played a few games. Monty played all the Test Your Strength games, which he beat easily. He would glance over to Sunny to see if he was looking. Sunny would be cheering and clapping his hands.
"Great job, Sunbeam!"
Feeling confident, Monty decided to grab a giant Monty plushie from the rack and hand it over to Sunny. Sunny stopped clapping as his arms wrapped around the giant Monty plush.
"Oh! Monty...are you allowed to-"
"I won the game, I get to choose my prize. It says it on the rules," he said, pointing to the sign above him. Truthfully, he wasn't allowed to, but no one was around to stop him. He also knew how Sunny was about following rules, so a little bit of bending them didn't hurt anybody. Sunny felt his faceplate overheating. He smiled and hugged the giant Monty plushie.
"Thank you, Monty," he said. Monty smirked and motioned for Sunny to follow him. "Come on! I have one more thing to show y-" he started, but stopped when a blinding white light flashed in front of his eyes. He growled out loud and placed his hands over his eyes.
"Ow! What in tarnation-" he started then looked down, blinking his eyes in the process. When his vision cleared, he saw a short woman in a police uniform holding a flashlight.
"Officer Vanessa?!" Monty cried out.
Officer Vanessa was the Pizzeria's personal cop. A real tough one too. She was a human with platinum blonde hair tied up into a tight ponytail and bright blue eyes, which narrowed angrily up at Monty. She lowered her flashlight from Monty's sensitive eyes.
"What are you two doing here? Why aren't you on Night Patrol? What...?" Her eyes glanced over to Sunny with the giant Monty plush.
"Why is the Daycare assistant out of his-" Officer Vanessa started, but Monty quickly appeared in front of her, blocking her view of Sunny.
"I am on Night Patrol. I am showing Sunny around. He is going to be starting his Night Patrol tomorrow," Monty lied. Officer Vanessa narrowed her eyes up again at Monty. For a tiny human, Vanessa creeped Monty out. There was something very off about her, but Monty couldn't put his finger on it.
Officer Vanessa pulled out an iPad and showed them a notification Alert on it.
"Oh. On Night Patrol? Then, were you two aware that a child is roaming around the Pizzaplex as we speak?" she asked, showing the image of a little girl on the screen. Monty and Sunny exchanged glances.
"I...no...We didn't get a notif-" Suddenly a message appeared in Monty's vision.
Warning! Lost Child!
Sunny got more information about the lost child than Monty did:
Maholly Chinos. Age 9. Favorite Glamrock: Roxy.
Officer Vanessa pointed her flashlight at them, thankfully the light was turned off this time. "No more playing around. Find the girl. That's an order," she snapped. "And if I find you two playing hooky again, I'll report you to Management," she threatened. Monty bared his sharp teeth and growled. Sunny placed a hand on Monty's shoulder, causing him to stop snarling at the officer.
"Of course, officer. We are on it," Sunny said. With that, Vanessa walked away. She turned her flashlight back on and disappeared around the corner. Monty sighed a long sigh.
"Well...I guess it's time we head on back-" he started, but stopped when he saw Sunny's eyes widen in horror at his Sunbrella. It was flickering. The battery pack was dying.
"Oh shit! Sunny!" Monty cried. Sunny turned to Monty. Fear filled his glossy white eyes.
"Monty! I'm scared!" he cried.
Monty opened his chest cavity and checked his battery packs. Damn. They were running low too. He will need to get to a charging station himself. He grabbed Sunny's hand.
"Sunny! It's ok! I'll get you back to the Dayc-"
Monty didn't get to finish his sentence as Sunny pushed him away and bolted down the hallway. The Sunbrella flickered on and off like a dying firefly.
"Sunny!" Monty shouted as he chased after him. Sunny's bells jingled loudly down the long hallway. Monty's feet clomped right behind him. He reached out to Sunny's shoulder, but Sunny suddenly gained a burst of speed and disappeared around a corner. Monty stumbled a little, having to slow down before crashing into the wall, and changing direction.
Monty saw the Monty plushie lying on the ground. Further away was the Sunbrella. The lights flickered on and off. Behind the Sunbrella was a desk, with potted plants around it. A small kiosk for questioning parents. Standing on the desk was Sunny, his body hunched over, his hands in a claw like shape near his sun rays. He kept growling and screaming in agony.
"Lights on! Lights on! Nooo!" Sunny screamed as he fell backwards behind the desk.
Silence.
"Sunny?!" called Monty, approaching the desk. He heard shuffling behind it. Monty slowed his pace when he got closer to the desk.
"...Sunny?" he tried calling again.
Sunny's Sunbrella winked out.
A tall dark figure slowly rose up from behind the desk. Monty stopped in his tracks at the sight of the moon animatronic. He somehow looked taller than Sunny. His attire was similar to Sunny's, only blue, and covered in tiny yellow stars. The golden rays were gone, and were replaced with a matching night cap. Moon's eyes glowed red from the white and black painted face that was very similar to Sunny's cheery face. But Moon's faceplate somehow appeared menacing. Moon slowly turned his head and sneered at Monty.
Monty hesitated where he stood. He didn't know what to do. The only time he had encountered this...personality, was when it was possessed by the bad spirit. It wanted to kill him.
After a couple of seconds of Moon not moving, Monty decided that maybe he could try talking to him. Maybe he wasn't all that bad. He had only met him when he was possessed. The bad guy wanted to kill him, not Moon...hopefully.
Monty smiled as best as he could without showing any fear, and waved.
"Hey. Hi. Moon is it? Is it ok if I call you Moonie? I know we haven't met properly, but maybe we could start over. I'm M-" Monty started, but right as he lifted his hand up for a handshake, Moon spoke:
"I know who you are...You are Sunny's boyfriend." Moon's voice was whispery and raspy. Dark and deep. Very opposite of Sunny's high pitch fast talking voice. Monty slowly lowered his hand when Moon didn't show any interest in the proper greeting. Instead he cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his head at the mention of being called Sunny's boyfriend.
"Erm...eh...well...W-we aren't to-together..." Monty stuttered nervously. Moon raised an eyebrow, but still had a unconvinced look on his face.
"Oh yeah? Then what's this?" He picked up the dead Sunbrella. "...If I didn't know any better...it looked like you two were on a date."
Monty stiffened at the word "date." Moon sneered again, throwing down the Sunbrella violently, causing Monty to flinch when it made a loud clatter against the tiled floor. Moon bared his needle sharp teeth. "I see through Sunny's eyes. I know flirting when I see it..."
Monty shuffled his feet where he stood. "You were watching us? Are you and Sunny the same person or...?" his voice faltered. He didn't want to upset the Nighttime animatronic any more than he already was. Moon jumped up on the desk so he was looming over Monty. His glowing red eyes burning right through the gator animatronic. Monty suddenly felt very small, like prey meeting its' predator for the first time.
"We are two sides of the same coin. The kids used to call us brothers," Moon explained. Monty blinked in surprise. Brothers. Total opposites. Two personalities in the same body.
Moon bared his sharp white teeth and growled. "But then there was an..."accident," causing Sunny to keep me hidden from everyone..." Moon explained.
Monty remembered hearing about the accident, but he didn't know what it was, but he knew that it wasn't good. Moon glared at Monty as if he was the one who caused Moon to be trapped.
"Then I was possessed by that...man...The first time in four years I finally got to be in charge...and you got us corrupted..." Moon said. Monty felt his gears turn cold and freeze up. Moon remembered the Halloween incident.
Moon's gears clicked. His long sharp fingers twitched and snapped like bones.
"You are a threat to me and Sunny...Stay away from us...Stay away from Sunny..."
The words surprised Monty. He was not expecting that conversation to take that turn. Monty simply shook his head. "I'm not staying away from Sunny. He's my friend," Monty said. Moon's red eyes seemed to glow a brighter angry red.
"I'm not asking you, gator...I'm telling you." Moon snapped.
Monty took a step back, but bared his own sharp teeth back. "You can't tell me what to do. Me and Sunny get along well. If you were more like Sunny then-"
Monty didn't have the chance to regret his words when Moon's eyes flashed a brighter red and he reached out to Monty's face with his sharp claws. Monty felt the tips of the sharp claws graze along his snout. A red danger sign flashed across his vision. He reared back in reflex.
"You are asking to become scrap metal, lizard boy!" Moon snapped. The moon animatronic began to crouch down on the desk, getting into a position that reminded Monty of a large cat, getting ready to spring on its prey.
Monty lifted his claws up and got ready to defend himself. He hesitated for a moment, not wanting to use his claws. If he damaged Moon, then he would be damaging Sunny. Monty lifted his hands a little so his claws wouldn't be the first thing to make contact with the Nighttime assistant.
Moon got ready to lunge.
Suddenly, Moon froze when he saw the red alert notification flash across his vision. Monty saw the same alert notification as well.
Warning! Missing Child! Warning!
When it stopped flashing, Monty saw Moon's expression had changed. His mouth had turned upward into a malicious grin. Monty felt his inner workings suddenly go cold.
"No." he whispered. Moon heard him and his grin grew bigger. "Ah. Missing child. Past their bedtime..." he chortled. Then he got an awful idea.
"Let's play a game then, since you and Sunny love playing games...If you find the kid first, you two can continue going out on your little dates...But...if I find the kid first, you stay away from us...forever...Fair?"
Monty's voice box had stopped working in that moment. His mouth opened and closed slightly, but no words came out. Moon chuckled coldly. "I'll take that as a yes..." and did a double front flip over Monty, landing on the other side.
"I'm gonna find the kid before you do," he teased with a cold, wicked grin. "See ya later...alligator." His creepy laugh echoed down the halls as he disappeared into the shadows.
...
Time: 1:30am
Monty stood inside one of the charging stations. His eyes scanned the play area in front of him through the glass. He had almost run out of power once he started looking for the kid.
He wished he didn't need to keep powering up every twenty minutes. He needed to find the kid before Moon did! Monty's head snapped up when he heard laughter above him. Moon was flying through the air on his wire. He did flips and acrobatic poses in the air as he flew past. Monty knew Moon was taunting him.
Moon could cover more ground and find the kid before Monty was done charging. Possibly kill the kid right in front of him...Then be in control of their body forever-
100% charged
The door to the charging station opened and Monty stepped out. He couldn't let Moon get to him. He needed to stay focused and find the kid. He picked up his pace and began scanning the area. His footsteps echoed against the huge walls of the Pizzeria.
Monty wished he had Sunny with him. He was better with kids than he was. Sunny would coax the kid out of hiding with his friendly appearance and personality. His warm smile and round cheeks-
Monty shook his head. No. No distractions. Stay focused. Prime directive: Find the kid.
Precious minutes passed by as Monty desperately searched for the kid. He searched the Arcade area, the bathrooms, the main stage.
Where was this kid?
The minutes became an hour. Cold laughter echoed in the darkness overhead.
Monty stopped and did a quick system check. Was the kid really here? Was it a glitch? Where would a kid be hiding? He tried going through his observation recordings of Human Behavior.
Humans needed more maintenance than robots. Humans needed to eat, sleep, and use the restroom. He had already checked the restrooms. The only places to nap was at the Daycare...The kid was most likely hiding where there was food.
Monty turned direction and began heading to the Food Court.
While Monty made his way to the Food Court, he couldn't stop thinking of Sunny. He needed to save him from Moon somehow. The two shared a body. He needed to stop Moon...bring Sunny back...but how? He couldn't trick Moon to go back to the Daycare where all the lights were on. Moon was too smart for that. Sunny relied on light, and the whole Mall was in the dark. The power had turned off for the night.
Monty's gears kept turning. He pulled up the map in his head. The lights...they had back up generators, just in case if the Mall had a black out...If he could somehow get to the generators and turn them all on...then all the lights would turn on, and Sunny would gain control of their body again!
Monty smiled a confident smile to himself...Until he saw where each of the generators were located. They were all located in separate areas of the Mall. All hidden in very small places.
Places...small enough for a child to get to them...
Monty sighed, his long red hair getting into his face. Now he really needed to find the kid before Moon did.
Monty made it to the large, North wing Food Court. The whole place was dark and each food area was closed up for the night. All the heavy food aromas long gone. The gator animatronics' infrared eyes scanned the endless sea of tables and chairs inside the Food Court. Nothing seemed to be picking up right away. Carefully, as best as he could, he walked around the tables and chairs.
The tables were wiped down from the staff bots. No trash was left unattended. Monty searched the dark rows of tables for what felt like an eternity when his eyes finally picked up on something. A dark figure sat at one of the tables in the back near the kitchen.
Finally. He found her. She was eating a slice of what looked to be cold pizza.
"Hey! Little gal," he tried calling out in a loud whisper. The girl looked to be eight or nine years old. She had milk chocolate colored skin and dark brown curly hair. She was wearing a dark blue hoodie that was too big on her and dark purple leggings.
She turned her head over to Monty and froze. Monty hesitated to immediately start walking over there. Once he did, he knew she would start running. He waved his hand to show he wasn't a threat.
"Can I talk to ya for a minute?" he asked. The little girl hesitated before nodding her head, but her face had a look of confusion on it. She didn't seem to be aware that her life was in jeopardy being here. Monty walked over and sat down next to her at the table.
"What are you doing here, kiddo? Did you fall asleep in here? Do your parents know you are here?" he asked, trying to keep his anger under control. This girl took forever to find.
The little girl shook her head. "No. I snuck in here." Monty raised an eyebrow. "You snuck in? Why?"
"Because I wanted to get a Roxy plushie. There's this trend going around on the internet to break in someplace and take a selfie of the thing you stole from. So I chose this place." Monty sighed, placing his hand over his eyes. "Kids and trends these days," he muttered under his breath. He turned to her. "Kid. This is not how you become Tic Tac famous. This is how you go to prison for doing something very dumb...Stealing is wrong."
The girl pouted and crossed her arms over her chest, turning her head away from him. Monty sighed and placed his hand over his eyes. He didn't want her to hate him. He needed her to cooperate with him. Trust him. He brushed his red hair out of his eyes.
"Look. I need you to work with me. There's a sadistic clown after you who wants to hurt you. If we work together, I can get you out of h-"
"No," the girl said.
Monty blinked. "What do you mean "no"? Did you hear me say the words: sadistic clown?"
"Yes. I'm not deaf. But I'm not leaving till I get a Roxy plushie," she said. Monty sighed in frustration. He looked up at the ceiling. As he did, he saw two glowing red lights.
Moon.
Monty's eyes widened, jumping to his feet. He turned to the girl and quickly pushed her under the table.
"Hey! Wh-?" the little girl snapped.
Monty shushed her and watched the glowing red lights far above the Food Court. They lingered around for a while above Monty before floating away. Monty sighed with relief before looking under the table.
The girl was gone.
Alarm bells rang inside his head. He frantically searched around the table before spotting her on the other side of the Food Court. She had crawled under all the tables and made it to the other side of the Food Court. She gave Monty a glance, then walked towards the Arcade Area.
Monty bolted after her. Once he caught up to her, she was staring at one of the claw machine games. Inside the pile of plushies, on the very top, was a Roxy plushie. She sighed loudly in frustration as she pressed the buttons and moved the joystick around. The claw machine stayed frozen to its spot.
"You don't happen to have any quarters on you, do you?" the girl asked Monty. Monty gave her a glare. "What do I look like to you? A change machine?"
The girl ignored him and turned back to the game. Monty stared at the back of the little girl's head before sighing and placing his hands on his hips.
"If you help me try and save my friend... I'll help you with your selfie situation, ok?" Monty said, extending his hand out to shake.
The girl shook her head. "Get the plushie for me, and I'll help you with saving your friend," she said. Monty growled under his breath. "You are one stubborn runt," he muttered, holding his hand out to her to seal the deal.
"Maholly," the girl said, shaking his hand. Monty grunted. "Monty." Maholly nodded. "I know...Allright, gator. Get me my plushie." Monty gave her a look.
"Please," she added. Smiling sweetly. Monty rolled his eyes before turning his focus to the machine. "Best stand back, girly," he said as he cracked his metal knuckles. In one fast motion, he reared his fist back, and punched the glass. His metal fist made contact with the glass and went through. The glass flew everywhere. Maholly covered her face from the flying glass with her large hood. When the glass stopped falling, Maholly peeked an eye out from under the hood. Monty stood there in front of her with the Roxy plushie in his claws.
"Now you have to help me save my friend," he said. Maholly grinned as she took the Roxy plushie from Monty's claws. "Who's your friend we are saving?" she asked, placing the plushie in the front pocket of her huge sweater. Monty hesitated before answering. "Sunny. The Daycare Assistant. Moon has taken over, and he's looking for you..." Monty admitted. Maholly looked up at the gator animatronic. "You mean the thing that's been making those creepy laughs overhead? That's Moon??" she asked in shock.
Monty nodded his head. "Yeah. I need to turn the generators back on, to turn all the lights on in the Mall. That's where you come in...I'm too big to get to the generators...so I need you to turn them on for me. It's the only way to bring Sunny back in control," Monty explained.
Maholly nodded her head. "Allright. I'll help you save your friend, but where are these generators?" she asked. Monty pointed to himself. "Leave that to me. I'll take you to the generators...but since Moon is still looking for you, you should be hidden out of sight...My chest cavity has space for you to hide inside."
As he said that, he activated his chest cavity to open. Once Monty's chest cavity opened, Maholly stared nervously at it. "It's not going to hurt me is it?" she asked. Monty shook his head. "No...just don't move around so much," he added.
Maholly stood on a chair before crawling inside Monty's chest cavity. Right as the chest cavity doors closed, Monty heard the little girl say something. "What's this? Why is there a Sundrop plush in here? Aww he's wearing a necklace! What's it say? F...Flog? oh, Golf!" Maholly said. Monty jolted.
"I-ignore that! It's none of yer business!" he snapped, his Southern accent coming out. Maholly fidgeted in his chest cavity.
"Ok, sheesh. I was just wondering why it was in here...Man it's getting very hot in here. Do you have a fan in here? I feel like I'm cooking in an oven!"
Monty realized that his servors were heating up and needed to calm down. His fan automatically turned on, cooling his insides down. Once that was fixed, Monty began heading his way over to the nearest generator.
This was it. It was really happening. Monty was going to save Sunny.
Time: 2:45am
There were five generators in all. Maholly was able to easily squeeze into the vents and make it over to where the generators were hidden. Why this was the system the mechanics chose for the generators, Monty had no idea, he was just glad he had Maholly to help him.
When they got to the fourth generator though, Moon was on the ground, stalking around. They hid behind the giant Freddy Fazbear statue and waited for the nightmare animatronic to give up and look somewhere else.
"Naughty girl...Naughty girl...it's past your bedtime...Come out...come out..." he whispered in his dark, raspy voice.
Maholly's eyes widened at the sight of Moon. Her eyes stayed on him the whole time. Eventually, Moon gave up looking and flew away on his pulley system.
Monty checked to see if the coast was clear before walking over with Maholly to the hidden generator. Maholly squeezed through the small opening and crawled inside the vent to the generator.
Monty waited till he heard the loud metal switch being flipped and the sound of sparks flying before turning around and opening his chest cavity up for Maholly to crawl back into.
Four down. One more to go. Once Monty felt Maholly's weight inside his chest, he closed the doors to his chest cavity and began walking across the Mall to the other side. He made it to an elevator and walked inside it. He pressed the button to the next level. The doors closed and they went up.
"I never saw you as the type of robot to care about another robot. I thought you were "too cool" for anyone," Maholly admitted. Monty casually shrugged his shoulders.
"Sunny is a good friend. That's all," Monty said. The elevator dinged right as the doors opened. Monty walked out of the elevator and along the long stretched carpeted pathway.
"A good enough friend to have as a plush in your chest?" she asked. Monty stiffened but kept walking.
"So he's close to your heeaaarrttt?" she asked giggling. Monty made a growling noise. "Keep it up and I'll cook you alive inside there," he threatened, but at the same time he felt his servers heating up again.
"We are almost to the last generator, stay focused," Monty said.
Maholly nodded her head, but then realized Monty couldn't see her nod her head so she said "Ok."
Monty stopped talking and made his way towards the last generator.
"Ok kid. This is the last one," he said as they were thirty feet from it, but stopped in his tracks when he saw Moon again. He was stalking around the last generator, and there was no where to hide in time.
Moon's head snapped up and turned in Monty's direction. His eyes glowed a bright red, illuminating his wicked grin. He sauntered over to Monty, his body hunched over, and his claws in front of him.
"I smell the child's fear...but it keeps disappearing..." Moon hissed in frustration. Monty shrugged his shoulders ignoring the rattling of his gears. "Must be some sort of glitch. I haven't had any luck in finding her either...Must be a false alarm," he said nonchalantly.
"It's stronger when you are around," Moon snarled. Monty saw a Warning sign flash in front of his vision, but he already knew he was in trouble. Monty slowly began to walk backwards from the nightmare animatronic. "Yeah, well...I'm around kids all the time so...A kid peed their pants at the sight of me today so...that must be what yer smellin'" he said, half telling the truth. Moon narrowed his eyes. Monty avoided eye contact and turned his back to Moon, walking a little faster away.
Moon leapt at Monty when the gator tried to make a run for it. Monty turned around in time to land on his back and not his stomach. Moon towered above him, his smile stretching to the farthest corners of his faceplate.
"Where do you think you're going, reptile?" he chuckled maliciously. Monty's system went into alert mode. Moon was terrifying, but Monty couldn't let him see his fear. He wasn't a wuss, he was a gator...with sharp teeth. Monty roared and snapped his sharp teeth close to Moon's face. Moon reeled back, giving Monty enough time to lift his legs and kick Moon in the stomach. Moon flew backwards through the air. He did a few backflips before gaining control. He was still connected to his pulley system as he gracefully landed back on his feet like a cat. Once he did, he glared at Monty as the gator bolted away from him. Monty ran back towards the elevator.
"Hold on, kid!" he said out loud as he jumped over a few tables and discarded strollers. Moon rose up from behind Monty like a dark shadow and began to descend towards him. Claws stretched out.
"I'm going to enjoy ripping your teeth out of your mouth, gator!" Moon snarled right above Monty. Monty waited for Moon to get a little closer before snapping his sharp teeth at him again. "You can try, but you might lose a hand," Monty threw back at the nightmare animatronic.
Monty slid into the elevator and quickly pressed the button. Moon took a leap right as the elevator doors were closing. His claws straining to pry them apart. The elevator began to go down, causing Moon's claws to scrape and bend the metal apart. The lights in the elevator flickered as sparks flew everywhere around Monty. Monty stayed pressed up in the furthest corner of the elevator.
Eventually, Moon gave up and the elevator continued its descent down. Monty relaxed his shoulders a little, but stayed tense, knowing that Moon was waiting for them at the bottom. The elevator dinged, the doors struggled to open, the doors making a screeching sound as they opened. The elevator lights went out and the whole machine died.
Moon was not seen anywhere. Monty hesitated where he stood inside the elevator. Moon had to be waiting for him. Quietly, he took a step forward and peeked outside the elevator. Moon was nowhere in sight.
"It's a trap," Maholly whispered.
"I know...but we have no other place to go, the elevator is broken," Monty whispered back. He kept turning his head as he walked further out of the elevator, staying alert. It was quiet...too quiet. Monty kept walking, slow and deliberate. A loud crash was heard behind him, causing him to jolt and turn around.
Nothing.
Monty, lowered his own claws down when he saw it was a false alarm and turned back forward.
Monty saw a flash of red light in front of him before being knocked backwards and landing hard on his back. He skidded a little before coming to a stop along the carpeted ground. Monty looked up and found Moon on top of him. His eyes glowing bright in the pitch darkness. His claws gripping Monty's to keep him from fighting back.
"I don't know what Sunny sees in you...What makes you so special? You are feared by all humans, you destroy everything...and you are self centered," Moon growled.
"Hm...sounds like someone I know..." Monty said, looking at Moon. "We aren't so different," Monty threw back. Moon's grip tightened, crushing Monty's arms.
"You don't seem to know when to keep your trap shut, gator!" Moon shouted. Monty tried snapping his jaws at Moon, but Moon slashed his claws across his snout, causing him to roar out loud in pain.
"Ever since you found that child and brought it to the Daycare, you have been nothing but trouble to us!" snapped Moon, slashing at him again. "You made us get possessed by Afton. We almost got deactivated!" Moon hissed. Monty felt his wires tighten inside him. "I didn't mean to-" Monty started saying.
"It's all your fault!" Moon shouted in his dark voice, slashing at Monty's face again. Multiple red warning signs flashed across Monty's vision. His vision began to flicker and glitch. He thrashed his head and tried getting out of Moon's grip, but Moon was too strong.
"You hurt us...you hurt my brother...now I'm going to hurt you..." Moon slashed his claws across the front of Monty's chest. Maholly screamed from inside his chest cavity, causing Moon to stop. His eyes stared at Monty's chest before slowly trailing up to the gator's eyes.
"You had the girl this whole time..." he said, not in a question. Monty forced his voice box to work. "Yeah...So I win. Bring Sunny back," he said, hoping what he said would work.
Moon threw his head back and laughed maliciously. "You really thought I'd keep up my end of the deal? I'm the villain!" Then he struck Monty's chest with his claws again. Maholly screamed again. Moon's grin widened in delight from the scream. "And this villain wants what you have..." he snarled.
"No!" Monty screamed, as the doors from his chest cavity were ripped open. Monty roared in rage. He used his upper strength to bash his head against Moon's head. Moon reared back, screaming as his hands went immediately to his faceplate. Monty took the opportunity to sit upright and shove Moon away from him. He placed one hand over his chest, and staggered away from the screaming nightmare animatronic.
"Monty!" cried Maholly in his chest. Monty limped to one side and ran his free hand against the wall. "I-I'm ok k-k-k-kidd-do-o...just hang o-on," stuttered Monty. Monty felt himself collapse to his knees, causing Maholly to fall out.
Monty fell to his hands and knees as a heavy weight fell upon him, followed by laughter.
"Nice try, gator. You can't get rid of me that easily," he snarled before raking his claws against the back of Monty's head. Monty collapsed fully to the ground. Red warning signs flashed everywhere, blocking his glitching vision.
Moon jumped off of Monty and approached Maholly. Maholly stared up at Moon with wide eyes. "Moon," Maholly said out loud as he grabbed her shoulder and raised his claws up with his other hand.
"Any last words, girly?" asked Moon, raising his claws up to her face.
"I never saw you as the villain," Maholly said. Moon's clawed hand froze in midair. "What?" he asked.
"I never saw you as the villain, Moon. You were my favorite," Maholly said. Moon staggered from her words as if they attacked him physically. "I was...your favorite?" Moon asked, shocked by the very idea. Maholly nodded her head. "When I was little, my parents left me here while they went to work. I enjoyed the lullabies you sang when it was naptime; and the bedtime stories you told us. I enjoyed the story about the princess befriending the monster," she said, remembering back when she was just a toddler.
Moon stood there looking down at her dumbfounded. "You..." his voicebox faltered as he took a step back. Monty struggled to get to his feet, but Maholly gave him a silent look. He stared at her for a moment, then nodded in understanding and stayed down. She knew what she was doing. She turned back to the moon animatronic and took a few steps closer to him.
"I don't think it's Sunny that needs saving...it's you," Maholly said. Moon hesitated before baring his sharp teeth.
"I don't need saving! I am the villain! I will always be considered the villain!" Moon snapped. Maholly stopped in her tracks and shook her head.
"You weren't a real villain, Moon. You pretended to be one. You and Sunny would put on plays for us. You were always given the villain role..." she went quiet as she thought what she said. "I guess you played the villain so many times...you started to believe you really were one..."
Moon blinked in surprise at her words. He stared at her for a moment, before staring down at his hands. Maholly slowly came up to him until she was right in front of him.
"But not to me, Moon. You will always be considered my friend...you used to give me your Moondrop candies and place them under my pillow when I was sleeping. You remember?" Maholly asked. Moon was quiet for a long moment. He twitched and shuddered before finally nodding his head.
"Yes...I remember...Maholly..." he said.
Maholly approached Moon with no fear in her eyes. She lifted her arms up, leaned in, and wrapped them around his legs. Moon froze where he stood, staring down at the girl. His eyes began to flicker red and white, red and white. His body twitched and jolted. He cried out in pain when sparks shot out of his faceplate. He tore himself away from Maholly and faced away from them, grabbing at his faceplate, his shoulders shaking. He shook his head multiple times. Then, he turned to face Maholly and Monty.
His angry red glowing eyes turned a pure white color. He stared at Monty and Maholly in silence. His shoulders were drooping in sadness and defeat.
"...Turn the lights on..."
Monty's eyes widened in surprise. Did the nightmare moon animatronic just say-
"I said turn the lights on! Before I change my mind..." Moon said, turning his head away from them, his back facing them. Monty and Maholly exchanged silent glances at each other. Monty nodded his head to her as he staggered to his feet. Maholly looked over to Moon one last time. Moon kept his eyes down on the ground. Maholly hesitated, before heading over to the generator.
The lights turned back on.
Moon changed before their eyes back into Sunny. Sunny slowly turned his head to them, he swayed where he stood. He was drained of energy.
"Helloooo...Sunshine..." he said weakly before falling. Monty grabbed him and held him in his arms. Monty hugged Sunny, holding him close. Sunny's levels dangerously low. He needed to charge up.
Sunny looked over to Maholly with half lidded eyes and motioned her to come closer. She did as she was told. Sunny lifted his skinny arm and weakly nudged it against hers. Puzzled, Maholly opened her hand. Sunny dropped an item in her hand. It was a Moondrop candy.
Maholly felt the corners of her mouth pull up into a smile, pressing the candy close to her heart. Sunny smiled weakly back. "Thank...you...Sunshine" he said before closing his eyes.
Monty got to his feet, carrying Sunny in his arms. "Follow me to the Daycare, then I'll escort you out of here," Monty said to Maholly. The girl nodded her head, placing the candy into her pocket. Monty carried the lanky sun animatronic back to the Daycare. There, he placed him inside the charging station and closed the door. The large cylindrical glass tube began charging the unconscious Sunny.
Time: 5:50am
Monty escorted Maholly to the front exit of the Mall.
Maholly stopped at the closed doors and turned to Monty. She reached into her front hoodie pocket and she Roxy plushie back to Monty.
"Here...I change my mind about this...What you said made me realize that what I was doing wasn't right." Monty took the plush from Maholly. "I'm glad you finally realized that," he said, but knew he was gonna get yelled at by the Clean Up Crew for breaking the claw machine. Maholly pulled out her phone.
"But I still want to take a selfie," Maholly said. Monty tilted his head to one side. "With the plush?" he asked. Maholly laughed and shook her head.
"No, with you, silly gator. I had fun tonight, and I want to remember this night," she said. Monty leaned down on his knees and bent down to the girl's level. Maholly held her phone up and smiled, sticking her tongue out and making the peace sign with her fingers. Monty smiled and opened his mouth slightly, revealing his sharp teeth. They took a few more pictures.
Maholly waved goodbye to Monty as she walked out the automatic revolving doors, which opened exactly at 6:00am.
6:20am
Monty limped back to the Daycare and found Sunny putting the Lost and Found boxes into the storage closet. He turned his head and his face lit up at the sight of Monty.
"Good Morning, Sunshine! You're here early!" Sunny said cheerfully, adverting his eyes from Monty's broken chest. Monty placed his hand over the broken gap of his chest.
"Just wanted to see how you were doing..." Monty said smiling weakly.
Sunny closed the storage closet and walked up.to Monty. "I'm doing good! I feel like brand new!" he said. Monty shuffled his feet where he stood. "That's good...How's Moon doing?" he asked. Sunny's smile faltered a little.
"He's...coping After hearing what Maholly told him, hes dealing with some conflicts in his code..." Sunny paused for a moment, looking down at his shoes.
"Hearing what Maholly was saying to Moon...it made me realize what I was doing as well...I thought I was doing the right thing by being in control all the time., making him the villain of the plays...but now I see how much it hurt Moon...He's my brother, and I care for him."
Monty nodded his head. "What do you plan to do?" he asked.
"I am going to talk to Moon and see if we can come up with an agreement," Sunny said. Monty nodded his head again. "I hope you two come up with a solution. I can't imagine having to share my body with someone else, but I'm sure its not easy."
Sunny sighed and nodded his head. "It's a bit challenging...but I can't imagine not sharing a body without him. We've always been there for each other through it all...the past couple of years have been rough for us...but we are going to work on it," Sunny said, straightening up and smiling a confident smile.
Monty tried smiling back, but he felt that it was all his fault. His broad shoulders slumped in defeat. "I'm sorry it had to come down to me making you come out of the Daycare, causing Moon to take over for you to realize all this," Monty said. Sunny shrugged his shoulders.
"I had a feeling that it was going to happen," Sunny admitted. Monty was taken aback by his words. "Wait, you knew that Moon was going to activate? Then why did you go with my idea with the Sunbrella?" Monty asked. Sunny came up close to Monty, wrapping his arms around his broad chest.
"Because I wanted to spend time with you," he admitted, kissing Monty on his snout. Monty felt his servors overheat and fry. His body twitched and jolted. His face burned a bright red. Sunny giggled, then his eyes trailed down to Monty's open cheat and saw something inside.
"Hey! What's this?" Sunny asked as he reached inside Monty's chest cavity and pulled out the Sunny plushie. Monty had steam and sparks shooting out of his face as Sunny smiled excitedly at the tiny version of him in his hands.
