A.N. — I held back one member of the Shie Hassakai from September to be put here, right after his granddaughter. Writing around someone without an official name gets old quick, lemme tell you... except this guy. He can just be called the Boss, no problem.

If the boss of the Shie Hassaikai hadn't been bedridden in a coma, Eri's whole situation would've been handled far differently.

For being the head of a yakuza gang, the Boss had a heart. He'd been disappointed that his daughter was willing to give up her child. Chisaki further exacerbating Eri's woes was something he couldn't abide. Kai was like an adoptive son to him, but Eri was of his bloodline — protecting what was left of her innocence had more value to the Boss than raising a future successor that turned out not to be worthy of inheriting his position.
