Huntresses of Fairy Tail
"How's Blake doing?" Happy questioned, coming into team RWBY's shared suite, Seras sitting right next to Blakes bed, a depressed look on her face, while accepting the drink from Happy.
"I managed to heal her injuries. There's gonna be some minor scarring, but those aren't gonna be anywhere visible unless she wears nothing her bikini for a top." Seras said.
"What's the matter then, that's great news, isn't it?" Happy asked.
"It is, but she's not waking up. Her hair got pretty singed up from that fire attack, so I gave it a quick trim." Seras said. "I'm just worried, something else might have been damaged, internally, that I wasn't able to fix in time, and that's why she's remaining catatonic."
"Don't say that, you're an amazing healer." Happy said. "You got to her in time, she just needs rest now."
"You're right." Seras said. "Still, I wish I could have gone with the others, to rescue Erza and Raion."
"They'll be fine." Happy stated. "Because no one in Fairy Tail, gets left behind."
~Tower of Heaven~
"Damn it. Would Jellal really risk the lives of everyone here like this?" Yang questioned, as everyone was following Simon up a flight of stairs.
"He would." Simon said. "Remember this tower, was created with countless human sacrifices. It sickens me to my core to have played a part in it all."
"So, now that we've established what's going on, who was that woman with you? The one Erza said she didn't recognize?" Ruby questioned.
"That was Cinder. A Huntress for hire. Jellal hired her to grab Raion for him, because he wanted to know how he brought your sister back from the dead, at the age she's at." Simon stated. "I was there when he hired her, and she said it was perfect, because it aligned with another job involving Raion, another client of hers hired her for."
"What job was that?" Yang asked.
"She was supposed to swipe something from him, a thumb drive that he was gonna swipe from an SDC Attorney." Simon said.
"What would Raion want with that?" Lucy asked.
"To make sure my father's put away for good." Weiss said. "Most likely the thumb drive was filled to the brim with evidence that would have given him the death penalty, and the SDC Attorney was meant to dispose of it. But rather then disposing of it, Raion got his hands on it."
"That must be it." Erza said.
"You think Raion managed to send the evidence anywhere before he was grabbed and the thumb drive was swiped from him?" Ruby asked.
"It's highly possible." Yang said. "From what I've seen, when it comes to computers and technology, his skills come in second, only to Lisanna's."
"This is bad." Simon said. "I can't get through to Wally or Millianna, I can't even tell where they are now."
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.
"Telepathy magic?" Weiss asked.
"That's it exactly." Juvia said.
Bellow them, Erza stopped as she turned back to look at Sho, finding her friends, who'd she considered a brother, to be lagging behind, his expression filled with confusion.
"Is something the matter Sho?" Erza asked.
"I'm fine." Sho said. "Everything's fine, now that you're here."
Up ahead, Grey was staring at Simon, as they continued running up the steps.
"Juvia, are you absolutely certain that we can trust this guy?" Grey inquired. "I mean, I understand that he wasn't trying to kill us back at the resort, but still…"
"I won't make excuses for my actions." Simon stated, showing he was able to hear him.
"I didn't think you could hear me." Grey said.
"Any Huntsman who is incapable of surviving what happened at the resort, doesn't have a prayer against Jellal." Simon said. "I never doubted that Natsu could handle the attack. I was confident he would survive. Same goes for the girls under Raion's guidance. Though I wasn't expecting Cinder to be quite so powerful."
"Seriously? Yang and I both got shot in the mouth, you didn't think to let Wally know to take the attack down a notch?" Natsu questioned angrily.
"Oh yeah, well what about me?" Lucy questioned.
"None of you can fully comprehend the full extent of Natsu, or Raions abilities." Simon stated, excluding Natsu from the conversation. "Once they awaken the true Dragons power within, evil will fall and tremble in their wake."
"Hold on, you say that as if Raion's a Dragonslayer." Weiss said. "But that's not accurate, he's a Godslayer like me."
"His power doesn't come from a lacrima though." Simon said, looking over his shoulder to her. "His power as a Godslayer, comes from someone like Acnologia, who transcended his insanity, and gained the rank of a divine being."
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but apparently. He's the living avatar, for a being who's very existence, is considered to be nothing more, then myth." Simon stated as they made their way into a tunnel.
~Tower Throne Room~
Jellal sat in the throne room, a twisted smile on his face, as he watched the players manning their posts. Including his newest knight, he'd enlisted to take Millianna and Wally's places, as they were still recovering from the beating the Belladonna girl had given them. But it was of no consiquence to him. He just wanted to ensure he stalled them long enough, for his plan to come to fruition.
"This should be fun." He smiled, using his magic to focus on his knights, but he was shocked, when he saw all three of them lying in a heap. The only one missing, was Mesu. "Mesu, where are you?" Jellal questioned.
"I'm on my way to greet our new friends Jellal." Mesu said. "The others were slowing me down, so I disposed of them."
"They were your allys, Trinity Raven were vital to the plan." Jellal hissed.
"Not my plan." Mesu said.
"Why are you fighting me on this?" Jellal asked.
"Because I'm superior to you, in every way." Mesu stated. "I'm only following your orders, so that I can entertain myself with a good fight."
"You insolent little…"
"You only have yourself to blame for this Jellal." Mesu said. "After all, you're the one who chose to experiment with Kryptonite on me." She stated, before she cut communications.
~Team Natsu~
"I'm not liking this." Natsu said, as they made their way through one of the upper floors of the tower.
"You're right." Simon added. "We should have at least run into one of Jellal's knights by now."
"Who do you think the fourth newcomer is that we'll be fighting?" Yang questioned.
"It very well might be Raion." Weiss said. "You heard Simon. Jellal has a plethora of Kryptonites he somehow stole from the Magic Council. Any one of them could have turned him to Jellal's side."
"Meaning we might have to use our Kryptonite against him, to either snap him back." Yang said.
"Or to put him down." Weiss sighed.
"No." Ruby said. "That's not even an option, we're not putting Raion down, he's one of us. If Jellal has turned him against his friends, his family, then we have to find a way to bring him back to his senses."
"Where are we?" Lucy questioned, as they found themselves at the bottom of an arena looking structure.
"This is where construction on the tower halted when we were kids." Simon said. "They day Jellal turned on us, and Erza left."
"When we rebelled, and where we lost Grandpa Rob." Erza said, the memories of that day flooding her mind.
"I know, it might not seem like much." Simon sighed, reaching into his pocket. "But as a show of faith, most likely to get us to trust him, Jellal had used his newly unlocked magic to gather his ashes, and divided them up amongst me, Sho, Wally, and Millianna." He said, pulling out a small urn. "I kept mine close, because I wanted you to have them. Bring at least a part of him, back to Fairy Tail."
"Thank you, Simon." Erza said, with a smile, before she put the urn in her reequip dimension.
"Well, this is so sweet, it makes me wanna vomit."
The group became alerted to the newcomers presence, as her voice echoed out from the shadows in the tunnel they were heading towards. This caused them to stop, as the fighter stepped out of the shadows, and into the light. Their eyes widened at who they saw.
Stepping out from the darkness, was a young woman in her late teens, early twenties. She wore a cropped hooded long sleeved leather jacket, with the hood up, and steel armored shoulder pads that went down the length of her upper arms over top of the sleeves, with the jacket clasped over her chest, and a bracelet over clasped over her left wrist. Under that, she wore a red open leg, backless shin length dress, with a black interior. Under the dress, she wore a pair of white stockings, with silver sickle bladed stilettos. Around her waist was a silver belt with what looked like a thin chain, connected to a larger sickle blade, hanging from her hip.
"Who are you?" Lucy questioned.
"The name's Mesu." She smiled. "I'm here to formally welcome you, to the Tower of Heaven."
"Where's Raion?" Yang questioned.
"For that information, you're gonna have to beat me in a battle." Mesu said.
"Erza, leave this woman to us." Simon said. "You find Jellal, and put an end to all of this."
"Are you sure Simon?" Erza questioned.
"Go." Sho said. "It's all of us, verses only her. We can take her."
"Bravado won't get you anywhere." Mesu said, before turning to the side, and holding her arm out towards the tunnel, invitingly. "But by all means, right this way. Jellal is expecting you."
Erza just glared at Mesu, before she cautiously made her way towards the tunnel. Surprisingly, Mesu allowed Erza to pass, without pulling any sort of trap. But the instant Natsu and Sho tried to follow her, Mesu sent a wave of magic at them, knocking both men back to the group.
"Erza!" Natsu called out.
"I'll be fine Natsu." Erza said, requipping into a change of clothes, consisting of flame themed pants, bandages wrapped around her chest, and her hair tied up in a ponytail. "You just focus on beating Mesu."
"They're gonna need all the help they can get." Mesu smiled sinisterly, before Erza ran off down the tunnel.
"Natsu, Yang." Ruby whispered.
Both fire users looked over their shoulders to Ruby, before their Scrolls went off, as they received a message. Opening their Scrolls, they found it was a message from Ruby.
"When I find an opening, I'll use my Semblance and Magic to get you both over to the tunnel. It won't work twice, but I think you two are the best shots we got at helping Erza." The message read.
Natsu and Yang looked back to Ruby, and nodded, before deleting the messages from each of their Scrolls. Taking on a battle stance, Yang and Natsu were the first to make their move as they raced towards Mesu, both of them powering up their starter attacks.
"Fire/Purgatory Dragon: Iron Fist!" They called out, throwing their punches at Mesu.
The hooded woman simply smiled, as she took the attacks, catching their fists in the palm of her hands as she crossed her arms. This position of her arms, gave Yang an ample view of her armored clothing, before something about her bracelet caught her attention.
"Something catch your eye?" Mesu questioned, bringing Yangs attention up to her.
Before Yang could say anything, she and Natsu were forced to jump back, as Ruby came swooping in, swinging Crescent Rose at the enemy, but was shocked, when the Rogue Huntress caught the reapers weapon, by the blade.
"Nice try." Mesu smiled, before swinging her arm and throwing Ruby off to the side, with Weiss creating a slide of ice, that brought the red reaper back to her team.
"Ruby, you okay?" Weiss asked.
"I'm fine." Ruby huffed, getting back to her feet. "What is with this woman, it's as if she's seen all our moves before."
"I think that's because she has." Yang said.
"What are you talking about?" Grey questioned.
"Simon, do you know what colors the Kryptonites came in?" Yang asked.
"There was blue, red, yellow, orange, silver, mango, black, periwinkle, and pink." Simon said. "The Council didn't stop, until they managed to produce Green."
"What were the effects of pink and red?" Yang asked, having a bad feeling about those two.
"Red was unclear, but according to the data Jellal stole with the Kryptonite, when the Magic Council brought it near him from the shadows, he turned rather violent and wasn't himself. Almost as if he was turning villainous." Simon said. "It also showed that the Kryptonite tends to glow when within a certain proximity of him, during an incident involving a Guild Masters Conference some months ago."
"That's what caused him to go nuts in Clover?" Grey questioned.
"What about pink?" Yang asked.
"Well… it changed a chromosome in a sample of his DNA, making it a female ample of blood, rather then the male sample it had been collected as." Simon said.
"I was afraid of that." Yang sighed. "Ruby, remember that bracelet you custom ordered for him?"
"What about it?"
"Mesu is wearing it." Yang said. "An' two of the gems are glowing on it, while the amethyst was replaced with a rosé pink diamond looking gem."
"I'd bet you anything the ruby in the bracelet was replaced with a chunk of red Kryptonite as well." Grey hissed.
"So that's it." Weiss said. "We're not facing a random Rogue Huntress."
"We're facing our Guild Instructor." Yang said. "Someone who's considered to be the strongest in Fairy Tail."
"I'd wager that Mesu, the Menageriean(Japanese) word for Female, is to indicated Mesu Raion, which roughly translated from Menageriean, means Lioness." Lucy added. "An' they are a far more fiercer, and terrifying predator, compared to their male counterparts."
"Even if it is Raion, we can't give up." Ruby said. "He's still in there somewhere. Let's charge her all at once."
"What about the Kryptonite he gave us?" Weiss asked.
"We'll save that for a last resort." Ruby said.
"It's rude to talk about someone, like they're not even here you know." Mesu called to them. "So if you're not gonna include me, I'm gonna include myself in this conversation."
Mesu charged at the group of Huntsmen and Huntresses, resulting in them scattering. Sho saw that the tunnel was unguarded, and made a run for it. However, Mesu wasn't gonna just let him slip on by, as she used her Kryptonian speed, to turn around, and hit him with a lariat. The force of her impact with the lariat caused Sho's eyes to go white, as he passed out, before Mesu stood over him, her foot raised to stomp on his head.
"Sho!" Simon called out, body slamming Mesu out of the way, and pulling Sho to safety.
"This isn't good." Grey said. "Raion always, always holds back to avoid accidentally killing anyone."
"An' now?" Juvia asked.
"Now, with the red Kryptonite, it's removed those moral limiters. Mesu has no problem with killing." Grey stated.
"This is the worst possible outcome yet." Natsu hissed.
"Awe, done already?" Mesu asked. "Then why don't I help you all, take a nap?" She questioned, charging at them, with intent to kill. "Starting with the prissy Heiress!"
Pulling her fist back, Mesu aimed her first strike to hit Weiss, the Schnee's eyes widening as she knew any ice barrier she made, wouldn't do anything.
"WEISS!" Ruby cried out.
As Mesu threw her punch, the strike was caught by someone's bare hand, resulting in a wave of power to wash over the entire group, like a sonic boom. The others looked in shock, as they weren't expecting Weiss's savior, to be standing there, and capable of taking Mesu on directly.
"Sorry I'm late everyone." Seras huffed. "The flying technique is a bit trickier to master then I thought."
"Seras." Ruby cheered.
Without saying another word, Seras twisted on the flat of her foot, and hit Mesu with a kick that knocked her back into one of the walls, farther away from the tunnel. With the opening she was looking for, Ruby quickly grabbed Yang and Natsu with her Semblance, and rushed to the tunnel. The instant they were close enough, Ruby released them, with the duo of flame wielders, continuing the momentum, and running down the tunnel, Ruby standing guard, Crescent Rose in her rifle form, aimed at Mesu.
"I need a bit of catching up." Seras said, as Mesu pulled herself from the wall.
"Simon and Sho are on our side now, as Simon was never actually loyal to Jellal, and has been in love with Erza this whole time, and was playing the mole showing his true colors to us when we found Erza. That's Raion, exposed to pink and red Kryptonite, turning him into a psychotic killer bitch." Lucy stated. "Erza ran ahead to take down Jellal, and we're all doomed, because we're facing off against one of Fairy Tails strongest."
"Ruby?" Seras asked.
"More or less what she said." Ruby said. "We gotta figure out a way to get the bracelet off her, and get Raion back. The bracelet's where the Kryptonite is located."
"Understood." Seras said, cracking her knuckles. "I'll be able to fight her, but I'm gonna need the support of everyone here to do it."
"Right!" The others said in agreement.
~Tower Throne Room~
All was quiet in the head of the tower, as Jellal sat in his throne, moving the pieces of the game, to their current positions. All three of the Trinity Raven Pieces had been knocked over, while the piece representing Mesu, which was shaped like the House of El crest, stood at the forefront, with the fallen pieces behind her, and faced off with all the pieces, representing Erza and Natsu's group.
"I've had to make some adjustments to my plans thanks to that girl, but I can't really argue with the results." He said, putting two more pieces, representing Seras and Happy, on the board. "The arrival of the resurrected girl was unexpected but not unwelcomed surprise. Though I could simply dissect her and learn what brought her back from any residual magic lingering, I'd prefer a much more, direct approach. Now as for Erza…" Jellal paused as he did a three count, before the doors to his towers throne room shattered, having been reduced to stones littering the ground, as the target of his goals, came bursting through them.
"JELLAL." Erza shouted.
"Right on time as always Erza." Jellal smiled getting up from his seat. "When was it I saw you last, hmm? Or was it my brother who saw you at the trial for Clover's destruction? It's hard to keep track when you share a mind with your twin."
"I believe that was your brother." Erza hissed, running at Jellal, and swinging her blade at him.
"Dark Rondo!" Jellal called out, using the spell to block Erza's attack. In the instant he called out the spell, a flurry of dark ghosts came flooding out from a magic circle that appeared on the floor, and were sent right at the red haired sword wielding Huntress.
Erza maneuvered through the ghosts, and lunged at Jellal once more, before the man moved to the side, this time just barely avoiding the blade as Erza moved with speed he hadn't expected from her, and sliced the hood of his cloak in half.
"Oh my, seems I've still underestimated you." Jellal said before he smiled as he noticed something.
"You're damn right you've underestimated me." Erza growled.
"Paradise of Sins!" Jellal cried out, sending another attack at her.
Swinging her blade, Erza cut down the spell as it sprouted tentacle like appendages, slicing through them, and running towards Jellal. The redhead managed to knock the blue haired man to the ground, and stabbed her sword into the ground next to his head.
"I will bring you to justice, and get the Council to cease fire on the Tower." Erza said.
"It's too late for that." Jellal said as the tower began to tremor and shake. "Once the Satellite's been primed and ready, there's no stopping the Etherion from firing. The Council's already agreed to firing it."
"What are you up to Jellal? Answer me. You know your dream will never come true, so why are you willing to risk your life? Do you want to die? If that's the case, then we'll go together, and I won't let up till the bitter end."
"To be honest. That doesn't sound so bad." Jellal said surprising Erza. "I no longer have control over my own body and soul because I've been possessed by Zeref. I'm merely a puppet he's manipulating in order to become flesh again."
"You were possessed by him?" Erza asked.
"I wasn't able to save myself, and not even my closest friends were there to come to my rescue." Jellal continued. "That's when I realized there is no heaven, nor does true freedom really exist. All of creation was finished before it even began, simple, fragile, and able to be turned into a puppet if a higher being of power wished it. Deep down I knew the R-System couldn't be completed, but Zeref kept pushing me. He forced me to continue the Tower's construction. I wanted to stop but I couldn't. It's like I was a freight train, or an airship with no breaks. I surrender. Go ahead and finish me. Isn't that why you came looking for me?"
There was a moment of hesitation as Erza wasn't sure on what to do, before she pulled her blade from the ground, and slumped over, sitting on her knees in front of Jellal. This sudden act of kindness, causing Jellal to gasp in shock, as he sat up and looked right at her.
"There's no need for me to spill your blood with my own hands." Erza stated putting her blade back in her reequip dimension. "The satellite square is focused, and the Etherion will fire any minute now."
"That means this is the end, for you Erza, and me." Jellal sighed sitting up as the intensity of the tower's quaking increased. "It is a grim fate that we share."
"So all this time, you were just another of Zeref's victims." Erza sighed.
"It's my own fault. I let my weakness get the best of me when I saw what had happened to you that day. The rift between my dream and reality was too deep for my mind to comprehend." Jellal stated.
"The only people capable of saving you, from your flaws and inner weakness, are those who you call your friends." Erza stated.
"That's true." Jellal stated.
"I apologize for not being able to save you back then." Erza said, sadness in her voice. "Can you forgive me?"
"Erza. You have saved me." Jellal smiled before the two embraced each other in a hug.
A bright flash of energy filled light blinded the two of them, as the Etherion made contact with the tower, destroying the stone layers, as they were transmuted from simple stone, to Lacrima filled to the brim with Ethernano. Opening her eyes, Erza was shocked to find what had happened to the tower, and seeing that the throne room, now had no roof, allowing for the both of them to see the stars, as well as the fading light of the Etherion Canon.
"What have you done?" Erza questioned as Jellal began to chuckle quietly.
The quiet chuckling began to grow into an uproar of evil laughter, as Jellal was proud of what he had accomplished.
"It's here. At long last my hour of glory has arrived." Jellal smiled.
"Glory?" Erza questioned.
"This is the true form of the Tower of Heaven. A giant magical lacrima crystal. Thanks to the council, it's ready to activate. The Etherion's magic energy provided the missing piece of the puzzle, which means the R-System is now complete." Jellal monologued gleefully.
"So, we were your pawns." Erza glared.
"Your expression was priceless Erza." A man, looking exactly like Jellal said, appearing out of nowhere behind them both. "He isn't capable of putting forth his full power right now. So he had to manipulate you in order to save himself."
"Siegran." Erza gasped, her eyes widening as they landed on him. "I don't understand. What are you doing here?"
"This reminds me of when we first met, years ago. Do you remember Erza?" Siegran questioned with an amused smirk.
"You accompanied Makarov to the Magic Council to submit a written apology for destruction of property." Jellal smiled.
"She attacked me out of nowhere. She must have mistaken me for you." Siegran added.
"I can't say I blame her. After all we do look alike." Jellal stated.
"You refused to let up until I confessed to you that I was his twin. But still you were hostile towards me from that day forward." Siegran stated.
"What did you expect? If you truly cared about your brother, you would have tried to stop him instead of helping him cover his tracks. I know you've been spying on me and reporting back to him." Erza glared as she got to her feet.
"Is that so?" Jellal asked.
"A mistake on my part. In retrospect, perhaps I should have said something that would have convinced you I was going to find Jellal and kill him, but my biggest mistake was running into you in the first place, especially after the trouble I went through to become a council member." Siegran sighed.
"There's nothing worse than having to come up with excuses on the spot." Jellal chimed in.
"I get it. So the two of you have been conspiring this whole time." Erza glared.
"Conspiring?" Jellal questioned.
"Not exactly." Siegran added.
"I'm afraid it's more complicated than that." Jellal stated as Siegran's body became transparent.
"We're not twins, but two faces of one person, and we have been from the start." They said in perfect unison, before joining back together, becoming whole once more.
"But how is that possible? Was he just a projection?" Erza questioned taking a step back.
"You never suspected for a moment we were one and the same." Jellal smirked.
"Then you're the one responsible for firing the Etherion." Erza glared. "Did you worm your way onto the Council just for that?"
"I hope you enjoyed the freedom I granted you all those years ago. Your release and everything after was all part of my plan to resurrect Zeref." Jellal said.
"How can you live with yourself knowing that your entire life has been one big lie?" Erza questioned.
"Magic energy." Jellal stated clenching his fist. "I can feel it surging through my body."
Erza lunged forward, swinging her fist at Jellal, before he ducked under her attack, leaning forward as he flicked her both in the stomach, sending the redhead flying across the lacrima ground, before she flipped onto her feet, and skid to a halt.
"Looks as though someone's a little worse for wear." Jellal chuckled. "Erza, don't tell me you used up all your magic energy just trying to get here."
Erza slammed her fist into the ground, bringing out one of her larger blades, before running at him, ready to strike.
"Jellal." Erza shouted. "You're through."
Jellal blocked Erza's blade with a shield of energy, creating a shockwave to be released around them. Erza twisted around before pulling out a second equally large blade, and began swinging them both at Jellal.
"The Magic Council's headquarters is little more than a pile of rubble by now. I can't tell you what a blessing Ultear has been." Jellal smiled, as the speed and strength of Erza's dual wielding sword abilities increased with every attack she made. "I couldn't have done it without her. She had no fear of death because she believes all of mankind will become one in heaven. In fact she told me she'd be more than happy to give her life if it meant my dream would come to fruition. Remind me to thank her for being an ignorant fool and being so easy to manipulate."
"Curse you." Erza shouted swinging her blades down at Jellal, shattering a pillar of lacrima after he evaded it. "I'm taking revenge for all the people you've abused. This is the end Jellal. I'll kill you!"
Erza ran right for Jellal, swinging both her blades with intent on decapitating him. However, her blades came up a few inches short, as the stopped right at mid-swing. Jellal remained motionless as a red centipede like mark began to crawl and spread around Erza's arm, before wrapping around her entire body paralyzing her.
"What's happening?" Erza questioned, sounding like she was in agony.
"It's just a bind snake. I slipped one onto you during our heartwarming embrace earlier as the Tower was enveloped by Etherion." Jellal chuckled. "Now that I've collected the precise amount of magic energy needed for the R-System, there's one more thing that must be done before Zeref can be resurrected. This is where you take center stage for your moment in the spotlight."
"Go to hell." Erza growled, trying to ignore the pain the bind snake was putting her through.
"The magic energy held within this lacrima must be fused with the body of my sacrifice. Once that happens, your flesh will break down and reconstruct itself to create Zeref's new body." Jellal explained. "I had intended on using Raion, but he's a bit preoccupied right now."
A pillar of Lacrima rose from the ground behind Erza, enveloping her hands and pulling the scarlet haired beauty backwards, as she began screaming in pain from the pressure of the Etherion energy enveloping her.
"You know I really did love you, Erza." Jellal said.
"No, STOP!" Erza cried out in pain, as Jellal turned his back to her.
"Oh great and powerful Zeref, I call upon you to offer you this woman's flesh." Jellal chanted, as the tower began to rumble and tremor once more. "Rejoice Erza, your sacrifice will bring about a new utopia of power, where the strong will rule domain over the weak and will rule from Heaven."
"Don't do this." Erza called out to him, receiving nothing in response to her cries. "Please Jellal."
Erza continued to receive nothing but silence, as her body was enveloped by the Lacrima. However the instant her face was about to become submerged, Erza felt two pairs of hands reach through the liquefied Lacrima, and pull her out.
"We got ya." The familiar sound of Natsu's voice reaching her ears, told the redhead that he was one of the two pulling her out. Looking up at Natsu, Erza looked to the other side to see it was Yang who helped to pull her out.
"Everything's gonna be okay now Erza." Yang said, destroying the bind snake, causing Erza to gasp as Natsu and Yang jumped back away from Jellal, with Erza in Natsu's arms. "Erza's an important part of our Fairy Tail family. We won't let you touch her."
"Natsu, Yang." Erza managed to say, as she laid motionless on the ground, her head and shoulders propped up against the salmon haired Huntsman's abs.
"Jeez." Natsu sighed. "What are you doing hanging around with this loser?"
"If we don't hurry up and get back to work, Lucy's not gonna be able to pay her rent." Yang added with a snicker.
"Trust me, you don't wanna make her angry." Natsu said.
"Sorry, but I can't move." Erza stated.
"Are you serious?" Yang asked, before noticing Natsu gaining a mischievous grin on his face. "Natsu?"
Without saying a word, Natsu began tickling Erza all over her body, causing her to laugh uncontrollably.
"It's time for some serious payback." Natsu smirked, before he was forced to bow forward by Yang punching him in the back of the head. "Ow, what was that for Yang?"
"This is serious. So quit goofing off." Yang stated, before she took a breath and calmed down. "Erza, turns out that Mesu, is actually Raion."
"What?" Erza questioned. "But how?"
"We think it has something to do with pink and red Kryptonite." Natsu said.
"Two of the gems in the bracelet Ruby custom ordered for him, were replaced with pink and red Kryptonite." Yang said. "So it's possible pink Kryptonite switch him to a her, and red turned him evil. We don't know the full details yet, but it's a solid theory at least."
"I see." Erza said. "Natsu, Yang, you've gotta get out of here as fast as you can."
"We ain't leaving. If you can't do the fighting yourself, then we'll just have to do it for you." Natsu growled, rightfully pissed at Jellal.
"This clown is responsible for Blake's current condition, so I've got a score to settle with him." Yang added, punching her fist into her palm.
"You can't, he's too powerful. Besides the both of you don't know anything about him." Erza stated.
"Who says we need to know the guy to beat him up?" Natsu questioned.
"I'm with you on that one Natsu." Yang said, cracking her neck. "It's two Dragonslayers versus one villain. I'm certain we can take him."
"Please." Erza began as a tear fell from her eye. "Just this once do as I ask you. I don't wanna lose either of you."
The duo Fire Dragonslayers, were silent and motionless before Natsu grunted as he bent down, and picked Erza up with one of her arms over his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Erza questioned.
"Honestly, we don't really know you all that well either, but I can still take you down. But I'll leave that to Yang." Natsu said before the blonde Dragonslayer slammed her fist into the redheads stomach, knocking her out.
Erza slumped over onto Natsu as he brought her back down to the ground, gently laying her to sleep. This act of sudden violence caused Jellal to gasp in shock, wondering why Natsu and Yang would even do that to their fellow Guild Mate.
"Seems foolhardiness is a trait amongst Dragonslayers, and you two are dumber than the rumors make you out to be." Jellal stated. "What kind of sick satisfaction do you both get from striking a defenseless friend?"
"We had to do it." Natsu stated, standing tall next to Erza, and widening his stance. "Because she was crying. She looked so weak and fragile. Her voice was trembling with fear." He continued, igniting his flames, his magic energy flowing all around him as his fists were clenched in rage. "I don't wanna see Erza like that. I've always looked up to her as a strong warrior."
"She's the kind of Huntress, that I aspire to be like. So when she wakes up from this nightmare, we want her to feel like her old self again!" Yang exclaimed, both their eyes snapping open, revealing a raging inferno that no amounts of water could quench. "If you wanna get to her, you'll have to go through us. We'll make you pay for making Erza cry, and for what you did to Raion."
"An' we'll do it with some added interest." Natsu hissed.
"Is that a challenge? Consider my interest piqued." Jellal smiled making a, come and get me, gesture with his hand. "I would love to witness the power of true Dragonslayers."
(Cue Music… Strike Back: We as Human)
Natsu and Yang both lunging at Jellal, throwing a combo of Fire/Purgatory Dragon: Iron Fists, at him. The blue haired man blocked one of the attacks, sending it to the side, by fending it off with a magic barrier, before bending back to avoid the strike from Yangs, a few strands of his hair getting singed. In just as quick a motion, Natsu hit Jellal in the side of the head with his talon attack, before Yang struck him on the underside of the jaw with her own, sending Jellal flying before both Dragonslayers caught up with him, Natsu slamming his fist into the bluenet's stomach, knocking the wind out of him, while Yang slammed her foot into his spine, causing it to crack momentarily, before she moved out of the way, allowing for the momentum of Natsu's attack to carry the blue haired man back.
Without stopping for a breather, Natsu and Yang used their speed to reach Jellal, both of them hitting him with an endless barrage of flaming strikes, knocking him left and right, ending it with a wing attack, and a punch empowered by a blast from Yangs, Ember Celica, sending Jellal into a pillar of lacrima, causing a cracks to spiderweb out as the impact left a large indentation on the side of the pillar.
"Fire/Purgatory Dragon: Roar!" Natsu and Yang shouted, their combo attack spiraling forward and merging into a single drill of orange and dark red flames, as Jellal picked himself up.
The attack hit their enemy directly, with Jellal shielding himself by creating a magic barrier. As the flames died down, it was revealed that Jellal was unharmed, and the most damage that was done was to his jacket, which he threw to the side.
"Is that the best you can do?" Jellal questioned with a confident smirk on his face. "I expected more from you, Natsu Dragneel, son of Igneel, and Yang Xiao Long, Devourer of Atlas Flame. I was hoping to get a taste of the destructive might of a couple of Dragonslayers before I started ripping you both to shreds with my bear hands, but if that's all you've got, I won't waste my time."
"I'll show you!" Natsu shouted dashing for Jellal.
"There's more to us, then meets the eye!" Yang exclaimed, matching Natsu's speed, step for step.
"You both must be punished for disrupting my ceremony." Jellal stated. "Prepare to be destroyed by my Heavenly Body Magic. METEOR!"
In an instant, Jellal's body began to glow as he radiated magical power, before he dashed away from the duo of Dragonslayers, evading their attacks faster than their eyes could perceive. Without warning, Jellal appeared behind them, and slammed his fists into both their backs, sending both pink and blonde haired Dragonslayers flying forward. Natsu turned in mid air to face Jellal, grabbing Yang by the hand as he continued to slide, before he used the momentum to spin around, and throw the blonde straight at the blue haired man. With her target clear and in sight, Yang straightened out both her feet, and ignited them with dark red flames, before her feet made impact with a barrier made from Jellal's magic. Jellal, held the barrier strong, waiting out Yangs flames, before dropping the barrier and grabbing her by the face, and slamming her into the ground, creating an indent shaped like her body. With the blonde taken down, Jellal lunged at Natsu, quickly getting in his face, and repeatedly bombarding him with punches and kicks, coming from all different angles and directions, with each one having enough magic power behind it, to destroy a building.
"Be glad either of you got your hits in, 'cause it won't happen again. Now, I'll show you the true destructive power of Darkness Magic!" Jellal smiled charging up an attack. "May the seven stars bring judgement upon you! Seven Star Sword: Grand Chariot!"
The attack came falling down from above, as Natsu and Yang stared up in horror, before they were pulled out of the way by a flurry of rose petals, and the attack hit the ground, building up a cloud of dust as the surface was destroyed. When Jellal landed, and the dust cleared, he was surprised to see Yang and Natsu standing perfectly in tact, a bit out of breath, with Ruby and Weiss at their sides.
"Did you really think, it was gonna be that easy?" Weiss questioned, pointing her rapier at him.
"I'll admit, this has proven entertaining, but you won't win. You're simply too weak, so surrender peacefully, and I'll make your deaths quick and painless. I'd rather not continue fighting, especially here. The R-System can't afford to suffer anymore damage, or it'll be rendered useless. I can already feel the magic energy beginning to leak out."
"Your forgetting one thing pal." Natsu stated, slamming his foot into the ground, causing cracks to spiderweb from the epicenter of the stomp, as he fed Yang some of his flames, and Yang fed him some of hers, replenishing their magic power instantly.
"You forgot just how destructive and wild Fairy Tail, can truly be!" Yang smirked, her fists igniting in dark red flames. "You revealed to us, what we need to do to stop your plans for good."
"No, you wouldn't." Jellal gasped in realization.
"Let's do this everyone." Ruby called out.
Without missing a beat, Ruby, Weiss, Natsu, and Yang began destroying parts of the tower. Each and every strike they made, caused more, and more damage to form on the tower. This was something Jellal hadn't planned for, as he stared in horror.
"No stop, don't do this." Jellal cried out.
"What's the matter pal? Didn't you know destroying things is what Fairy Tail's best known for?" Natsu questioned, hitting the ground with a Fire Dragon: Iron Fist.
"I'm not going to let you get in my way." Jellal declared, his eyes becoming bloodshot.
"What's he doing?" Ruby asked.
"This'll be the end of you. I've dreamed of this day and I won't let a bunch of fools like you spoil it for me."
Jellal held out his hands, a golden star magic circle forming before disappearing, sending off a barrage of star bullets, missing their group as Ruby used her lightning magic to race them all out of there in a flurry of petals, minus Natsu as he'd avoided Ruby's reach. As the attack continued, Natsu jumped over the barrier, his fist covered in his flames as he charged at his blue haired enemy. Jellal swung his arms forward before swinging them back to his attacker, sending a wave of heavenly magic towards him, sending the pink haired Dragonslayer flying back, hitting a barrier of ice that Weiss had made when Ruby's stamina broke.
"Natsu." Erza's voice echoed as she screamed.
"Ha, ha! You're so worried about wrecking your precious Tower, you're not gonna fight me full on?" Natsu smirked as he broke through the wave, and went running back at Jellal. "I get the feeling you're holding back quite a bit of your magic power. Let me tell ya something Jellal, that ain't gonna work against me."
(End Song…)
"I'd watch my mouth if I were you." Jellal shouted, falling for the taunting, sending a full on attack against him.
"Fire Dragon: Brilliant Flame!" Natsu shouted sending his own attack forward.
Jellal covered himself thinking the attack was for him, but to his shock, it was aimed at the ground, breaking through three floors of the tower. With the surface he stood on, breaking apart under their feet, the two fighters raced up from the falling ground, into the air where it was safer.
"They're aiming for the tower." Erza gasped as Weiss used ice to make sure her safety barrier was connected to a wall, keeping them from falling to the ground.
When the flames died down, Natsu landed on a large piece of the nearly shattered floor, sporting a rather intimidating smirk.
"Now I'm angry." Jellal stated, clenching his fists. "I didn't spend years building this Tower just to have some idiotic punk tear it down. I won't let you."
"Tough break, pal, but you can't say I didn't warn you." Natsu smirked. "I told you destroying stuff is one of Fairy Tail's specialties."
'Be careful Natsu, you're weak. You barely have the strength to stand.' Erza mentally pleaded.
"I'll make you pay." Jellal shouted crossing his wrists before reaching them over his head.
A large burst of energy went rushing from where he stood, making Natsu lose balance for a moment, before a dark sphere of magic energy formed on Jellal's hands, reeking of death and decay.
"What is that?" Yang questioned.
"Whoa, something weird's going on with his magic." Natsu exclaimed covering his face with his arm. "It's making me feel sick."
"Why's my shadow bending towards the light?" Erza questioned. "That spell, it could kill Natsu."
"Now, I'll plunge you into infinite darkness, Dragonslayer. You and all your companions!" Jellal shouted, as his aim aligned Natsu with the others behind him.
"Don't do it." Erza shouted appearing in front of Natsu. "Unless you wanna kill me too." Jellal gasped and the area began to lighten up again as the spell died down.
"That would be a problem. The ceremony requires the body of a Huntsman or Huntress comparable in strength to one of the Ten Wizard Saints. However, finding a suitable replacement, shouldn't be a problem in the slightest." Jellal exclaimed.
"Watch out! What are you doing?" Natsu shouted.
"It's my fault that you're involved in this mess. The least I can do is protect you." Erza said with a determined smile, looking at Natsu over her shoulder.
"Get out of the way." Natsu shouted.
"Heavenly Body Magic: Altairis!" Jellal shouted sending the spell of death in their direction.
"Erza." Natsu shouted as the spell approached.
As Erza braced for the impact, the sound of shattering and crumbling stone was barely heard over the echoing reverberation of the spell being cast, before the sound of whistling wind blew past them and the spell impacted with something. Opening her eyes, Erza gasped when she saw Raion, standing in front of her, dressed in his full Huntsman gear, his right arm thrust out as if he'd just punched something, with smoke rising from his fist.
"Sorry I'm late to the party." Raion said, his eyes glowing red with anger, as his Heat Vision was primed and ready to be unleashed. "Hope you didn't start the fun without me."
