Ben and co moved to another location after defeating the 1st group of beasts. They used a grenade again to lure out some more beasts at a time. They can't rely on the same spot because the intelligent leader of the beasts might realize that something is wrong.
In the 2nd attempt, the ones that came weren't just magical beasts but animals. So there were many kinds of magical creatures there. There were even ghost-like magical creatures that attack the group.
Anyway, this strategy worked really well so they kept repeating it. It won't work forever but they were successful 12 times before the magical creatures realized that something is wrong because the ones who had been sent first still haven't returned.
So when the 13th explosion went off, a lot of magical creatures came. Almost half of the remaining creatures move to attack Ben's group. There were over a hundred magical creatures in this group.
Ben ordered everyone except Mira to fight first to see their full capabilities. He and Mira will stay in the back and provide support if needed. The two won't interfere unless the others can't handle it anymore.
The horde of magical creatures finally arrived and they all prepared themselves. Wendy stood on the far left with Carla getting ready on her back. Lisanna had transformed into a humanoid tiger and stood in the middle with Bella on her back too.
While Elfman is alone on the far right. He had transformed into a creature similar to a wyvern. It's the creature that Rustyrose made using Arc of Embodiment, Belfast, that had been absorbed by Elfman.
When the horde of magical creatures arrived, Wendy and Elfman immediately cast their spells. Wendy used Sky Dragon Roar while Elfman used a similar spell. He fired a strong gust of wind with similar power as Wendy's spell.
Their attacks destroy the trees and take out many magical creatures. Almost a third of the magical creatures were killed by their attacks and a lot are injured. Now they needed to deal with the remainder.
Elfman transformed into Belcusas, another creature that Rustyrose created with Arc of Embodiment. It's a large humanoid creature in thick armor with a lot of physical strength. Belcusas and Belfast were good loot from his fight with Rustyrose.
Anyway, the 3 mages get into formation while the magical creatures were in disarray after the first attack. Elfman stood in front as a vanguard, Lisanna stood behind him, Bella flew above Lisanna, while Wendy flew even higher with Carla's assistance.
They go on the attack before the magical creatures can attack them. Elfman just ran around while attacking the creatures. There are so many magical creatures there, so he always hit them anywhere he ran and attacked.
Lisanna attacked the ones that evaded Elfman's attacks. Wendy provided support to her by shooting wind blades from the sky. She just swung her hands and wind blades flew anywhere she wanted.
These wind blades are a variation of Sky Dragon Claw. The original spell required the use of her feet but it's too troublesome. So Ben and A.I Chip modified it and the hand version of Sky Dragon Claw was created.
When he taught it to Wendy in the past, she picked it up in a hour. Well, it was just a variation of Sky Dragon Claw, something she was already used to. Still, it is more flexible and easier to use in battles, like now for instance.
Wendy can easily attack the enemies on the ground and in the air. She can move her hands easier than her feet. She can even make smaller blades using her fingers that are shaped like claws.
The 3's teamwork was good and they take out a lot of magical creatures while taking little damage. Wendy hasn't even healed them yet because they hadn't received a lot of injuries. Healing them too much will only drain her magic power and disturb their attack.
After the magical creatures were reduced to a quarter of their initial number, Elfman and Lisanna transform again. Elfman transformed into his King of Beasts form while Lisanna transformed into her cat form. Wendy is still flying but she started to move around to chase the scattered magical creatures.
Their attacks were a lot better now because they don't need to mind their defense too much. The enemies' number is already low so the danger is also reduced. They just need to attack the enemies that have gotten scared, making it a lot easier.
It didn't long for them to subdue the remaining magical creatures. They gathered in their initial location again to rest because they've spent a lot of energy. Wendy healed Elfman and Lisanna who were lying on the ground due to exhaustion.
"How is it?" Ben asked.
"E-easy." Elfman said between pants.
"Ooh, that's good. Then you're good to go again, right? It's easy." Ben replied with a grin.
"C-can we rest for a minute?" Lisanna asked.
"Well, I would let you take a break, but those creatures have other plans." Ben said as he pointed towards the forest.
There were so many creatures there, a lot more than before. They were the remainder of the big group that was deep in the forest before. These creatures seem to be a lot stronger than the previous horde.
Elfman, Lisanna and Wendy immediately get ready to fight but the creatures aren't attacking. They just show hostility and growl while looking at them. Suddenly, the creatures move to the side to make a path in the middle and a big creature walked through it.
The creature has 4 legs with pure black fur covering it's whole body. It's head is similar to that of a tiger with white stripes on it's black fur. It had a mane like a lion, but it's mane is thicker and longer than a normal lion's as it is also far bigger.
Those traits make this creature seem normal actually. Nothing unusual can be seen on it's body that made the mages wonder if it's really the leader. But their opinions changed instantly when the beast released it's magic power.
It has a lot of magic power, enough to unnerve Mira. Now it made sense why it can unify all these creatures and command them. It also has a lot of intelligence for a beast, although it didn't seem to be as high as a human's.
"Ben, I think it's time for us to intervene." Mira said.
"Agreed. This beast is way too dangerous for them to take on. Leave this to me. The rest of you, step back and keep your guard up." Ben instructed as he walked forward.
The others get back and Mira stood in front of them.
"I think it's time you saw my new power. I've only shown this to Mira and Bella because it's my secret weapon. You know what I mean, right?" Ben asked with a finger in front of his mouth.
They all nod so Ben looked at the magical creatures while cracking his neck and grinning.
"Then let's end this game." Ben said as he took a deep breath.
A black magic circle with red outlines appeared in front of his mouth and he chanted, "Sun God Bellow!"
Ben fired a black beam of solar energy with a blood red color in the center. It had a wide range and was fired at high speed. The beam hit the targets in a short amount of time and engulfed most of them.
When the beam dispersed, a big and long path of destruction can be seen in front of Ben. Everything there just disappeared, whether it was trees or magical creatures. Well, everything except the boss.
It was still alive despite suffering severe injuries, including the loss of a arm and eye. Still, it showcased how powerful Ben's Sun God Slayer Magic is. Even a high-level S-Class creature almost died after being hit by a basic spell.
Elfman, Lisanna, Wendy and Carla were speechless as their jaws dropped. Mira only smiled as if it was an everyday thing and Bella cheered him on. The remaining creatures looked at Ben with frightened expressions.
