AN: Chapters are gonna come slowly for a while. Stupid fucking holidays. Also I realized I never included the translations for the different languages the characters speak. I would but I'm EXTREMELY lazy. Use google translate like I did. Or not. Fuck you.
Chapter 37
Harry walked out and smiled fondly at Zorin who was laughing at something Rip had said.
"Hello, Beautiful." Harry said. Zorin smiled fondly at his old nickname for her. She had shed much of her old insecurity, being around so many positive people instead of nazis who alternated between leering and groping her, to making rude comments about her physique and commenting that she looked like a man. Still there were times when she felt ugly, but her loved ones never let her feel that way for long.
"Where's Schrodinger?" Harry asked.
"Already swimming." Seras said. Harry grinned.
"Not surprised, I'm surprised he waited this long." Harry said. He looked outside and paused.
"I don't see him." Harry said.
"He may be exploring the bottom. We can't drown, and I don't think there's anything in the ocean that can hurt one of us. I'll go get him, he should know he's going to have another brother or sister!" Zorin said, heading out into the water. She made it waist deep before diving in and swimming out into the sea.
She could hear several larger sea animals nearby but she couldn't hear anything that sounded like a schrodinger-sized being swimming. She scanned her surroundings and saw him behind a sunken rowboat so she swum over. She tapped on his shoulder and he put his finger up to his lips indicating for her to be quiet. When he saw she got the picture, he pointed ahead beyond the sunken boat. Her eyes widened in shock at what she saw. In the dark gloom of the ocean even vampires couldn't see too far, however a kilometer or so in front of them she spotted something she'd hoped she'd never see again.
She tugged on Schrodinger's arm and gestured for him to follow her to shore. He nodded and they headed back, swimming slowly so as not to make a lot of noise. Once they emerged, they bolted into the house, not caring that they were dripping sea water all over Harry's floor.
"We have a problem." Zorin said.
"What's that?" Harry asked, looking very concerned.
"Schrodinger and I saw a U-boat loitering about a kilometer out." Zorin said.
"What were they doing?" Harry asked.
"Just sitting their, port side facing the house." Schrodinger said.
"Shit." Harry said, getting up.
"They still rely on old WWII tech right? Even for communications?" Harry asked.
"No, any radio emissions would give them away, they always report reconnaissance in person." Rip said.
"Good. Zorin and Rip I want you with me, Schrodinger stay with Seras and Integra." Harry ordered.
"Harry.." Seras said.
"No buts, love. Remember it's not just you now." Harry said. Seras frowned and her hand went to her belly but she nodded.
"Schrodinger, you can pilot the speed boat, right?" Harry asked. Schrodinger nodded.
"Be ready to leave with Seras and Integra. If the three of us aren't back in twenty minutes, take them and head back to the mainland." Harry said.
"Harry, please.. be careful!" Schrodinger siad. Harry hugged him
"I will do everything that I can to come back to you." Harry promised, kissing the top of his head. He walked over and kissed Seras and then kissed Integra on the cheek.
"Integra, call Alucard and have him meet you at the harbor. I'm sure he can get here almost as fast as I could." Harry said. Integra nodded and took out her phone.
"Zorin, take us to where Schrodinger spotted them." Harry said, casting a bubble-head charm on himself. She took his hand and dove into the water, pulling him far faster than he could swim on his own. When they arrived at the sunken boat, he extended his bubble head charm over them.
"So How many aboard do you think?" Harry asked.
"During the war 30, but vampires can do much more work than humans can, I'm guessing no more than a dozen, however they'll have a 'blood bag' or two aboard. Humans in chemically-induced comas, there to feed the crew." Zorin said.
"Fuck. Ok there goes plan A" Harry said. Rip looked confused.
"Primal magic. We're so far out that nobody would see it, I had planned on just vaporizing the ship. If there's someone innocent aboard, we'll have to board the ship." Harry said.
"I'm going to apparate us inside. Where would the biggest open space be?" Harry asked.
"Probably the galley, right in the middle." Rip said.
"Are you guys ready? This is going to be ugly." Harry asked. They both nodded grimly. Harry took their hands and disappeared. When they appeared in the galley they were greeted by the shocked stares of five sailors and the eviscerated chunks of what had been a sixth that had occupied the space they'd apparated into, raining down around them.
"Kill anything without a heartbeat except each other." Harry ordered. Rip launched herself at the soldiers while Zorin bolted out of the room, barreling into a pair of vampires that had come to investigate the commotion. Harry calmly walked towards the bridge, incinerating the first mate with a blast of holy magic before kicking down the bulkhead leading to the bridge.
"Was ist die Bedeutung davon?" The captain asked.
"Wie viele Männer sind auf diesem Schiff?" Harry asked.
"Töte ihn!" The captain yelled to the two others in the room who attacked. Harry held his arms towards both and disintegrated them with bursts of white magic. He then held his hand towards the Captain.
"Letzte Möglichkeit." Harry said. The vampire responded by reaching for his sidearm.
"Legillimens!" Harry said, diving into the captain's mind. Rip and Zorin walked into the room and surveyed the damage, shivering at the smell of ozone that accompanied the holy magic Harry used when they weren't close enough to be harmed by it. They saw him standing there in front of the paralyzed captain, and waited. It didn't take long. Harry shook his head and came to his sense and slowly approached the captain who as now frozen with terror. Harry calmly reached up taking his hat, before dispatching him in a blinding white blast.
"The ship is clear. Unfortunately the human they were keeping for blood didn't make it. I think he might have died within the past few hours." Zorin said sadly. Harry nodded, turning and staring open-mouthed at the two. Rip and Zorin were still wearing their swimsuits, but were splattered with gore, their muscles, especially Zorin's tensed.
"Jesus Christ you two are hot." Harry commented. Zorin blushed and Rip giggled.
"Why were they here?" Rip asked after recovering.
"They were putting together a flotilla, this ship, the Acheron, was destined to join it. They had no idea we were here, they were just heading out to the Atlantic. Since they weren't in communication, Millennium will have to search the entire Mediterranean to find them." Harry said.
"Thank God." Zorin said. Harry nodded.
"I'm going to throw some more wards around the island, just in case. Let's get back, I'm going to leave the body of the unfortunate gentlemen on the streets in the mainland, hopefully his family can claim him." Harry said, heading back towards the stern where the poor man was being held. He apparated out with the body then returned momentarily after.
"Let's go let them know we're safe." Harry said, taking their hands and apparating to the beach. Where they were met by two nervous pregnant women and a cat boy.
"Crew's been dealt with. They had no idea we were here, they were en route to the Atlantic." Harry said, walking over to Schrodinger.
"What are you going to do with the U-boat?" Rip asked. Harry shrugged.
"I'm not one for wasting resources, but I don't even know how to pilot one of those things." Harry said.
"I do, it was one of the many things Mengele demanded that I learn." Schrodinger said. Harry grinned and walked over to him, putting the captain's hat on his head.
"Congratulations on your promotion, Captain Schrodinger." Harry said, shrinking it to fit his head, and removing bits on the sides to make room for his ears. Schrodinger laughed.
"Ascott!" Harry said, and the elf appeared with a pop.
"Yes God Emperor Harry Potter Sir?" Ascott said.
"I need to build a pier that can accommodate a world war two-era nazi u-boat. Do you know who could do that for me?" Harry asked. Ascott nodded.
"The Dwarfses, they's be building structures better than even the Goblinses!" Ascott said.
"Do you know any?" Harry asked. Ascott nodded.
"I know Thaelynn, She's be junior engineer of Stonebrook clan near Edinburgh " Ascott said.
"Can you pass along a letter for me" Harry asked. Ascott nodded, so he went and fetched a parchment, scribbling a note and handing it to the elf who bowed and popped away.
"Having a pier wouldn't be a bad idea anyway. Maybe someday I'll buy a yacht." Harry said with a grin.
Thousands of Kilometers away, Thaelynn Stonebrook, third daughter of Chieftain Yanig Stonebrook, scowled as she tossed an axe at a tree outside of her family's estate. It embedded itself deep in the trunk. The tree was barely standing, the poor girl had been venting her frustration on it the whole day.
"Ms. Thaelynn ma'am?" She heard a high pitched voice asking from behind her. She smiled.
"Hi Ascott! I'm glad to see you, I could use a friendly face." Thaelynn said.
"I's seeing that." Ascott said, looking warily at the tree. Thaelynn laughed.
"I's having a message for you from my master." Ascott said.
"I hope they're treating you well, Ascott. Fucking humans can't be trusted." Thaelynn said.
"My master is the best master! Here, look!" Ascott said, handing Thaelynn the letter.
Ms. Stonebrook, first please forgive me if I've used the wrong honorific or if family names aren't used in correspondence amongst your kind. I am familiar with Human, Vampire, Werewolf, Veela and Goblin culture but have not had the privilege of meeting many dwarves.
My dear friend Ascott recommended you by name to me, and I was hoping to retain your services for a little project of mine. This afternoon, my friends and I relieved a crew of Millennium submariners of their u-boat and I find myself with nowhere to park or service it. I asked Ascott to find me a capable builder to design and build a pier for my private island.
If you're interested, please send a reply either via owl, or through the services of my friend Ascott here. Also do please see if you can convince him to take a break. I keep asking him to and he refuses to listen to me. It's funny, since my ascension to the position of emperor, I've noticed people listen to me far less than they did when I was just Harry.
But I digress. Should you take on the job, I'd be happy to pay you and your crew quadruple the going rate for such services, because you come highly recommended and this is strange project with little notice. Cost for materials is no concern, I have money to spare.
Sincerely,
Harry James Potter-Victoria.
"Is this serious?" Thaelynn asked. Ascott shook his head.
"No, his godfather is Sirius." Ascott said before bursting out laughing. Thaelynn shook her head, grinning. She didn't understand the joke but she loved to see him happy after he'd been through so much waiting.
"Can you take me there now please? I'd like to meet with him and see what we're looking at." Thaelynn asked.
"Of course! Takes my hand please!" Ascott said, grabbing her hand and popping her to the Island.
"Oh come on! He's going to be the coolest kid at Hogwarts! How many first years are going to be able to brag about being the captain of a submarine?" Harry asked
"We'll consider it after the school year. I don't want him concentrating on anything except making friends and his classes!" Rip said, struggling not to laugh.
"You guys are mean. Fine. Sorry Schrodinger, I can't make you captain of the Acheron..." harry said, looking conspiratorially at him.
"Congratulations Commander Schrodinger! Enjoy the bath toy!" Harry said. Rip sighed and shook her head, Zorin and Seras giggled and Schrodinger was laughing uncontrollably.
"Ahem.." Ascott said, theatrically clearing his throat.
"Ascott! Welcome back! Who is your lovely friend?" Harry asked smiling as he approached. Thaelynn stared in shock.
"This is Thaelynn Stonebrook, She wanted to takes a look at the island." Ascott explained.
"Ah, that was quick! Allow me to introduce everyone. I'm Harry, this is Seras, my fiancee, Integra, my boss and the soon to be mother of my first born, and my dear friends Zorin and Rip. Schrodinger here is everyone's adopted son except Integra who spoils him like his favorite aunt." Harry explained grinning. Integra wanted to protest, but he was right.
"Wait, she's your fiancee, but she's carrying your baby?" Thaelynn asked. Harry laughed.
"Seras is carrying another of my babies, we just found out yesterday." Harry said.
"We're also soon going to be bearing his children!" Zorin said, holding Rip to her side, both smiling brightly.
"I have so many questions... but that can wait. I'm Thaelynn Stonebrook, and it's an honor to make your acquaintance, Emperor Potter-Victoria." Thaelynn said, bowing.
"Oh none of that please. Harry will do. The emperor thing was supposed to be a joke. If I could get Ascott to stop bowing I would but I think he's just doing it now to get on my nerves." Harry said playfully glaring at Ascott who grinned.
"No comment!" Ascott said before popping away.
"Come inside, we had planned on swimming but then we got sidetracked by the whole aggressive naval acquisition thing, and I could use something to eat." Harry said. Integra's stomach growled and she blushed.
"Looks like Harry Jr. 3 is hungry too." Harry said.
"We're not naming the baby Harry Jr. 3!" Integra yelled.
"WHY DO ALL OF YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?!" Harry yelled.
