Its back exposed, it continued to eat the beowolf not bothered by the two huntsman's presence, Bending down slightly jaune picked up a small stone, infusing it with aura, then launched it towards the Grimm.
The rock traveled at an insane speed, but before it could connect a white blur knocked it away, it continued to eat not bothered by the distraction.
Looking over, Ruby gave a small nod she took a diagonal stance, crescent-rose pointed away from her, charging her aura. Jaune began to do the same taking an overhead stance, he crouched down.
materializing an aura blade his hands began to darken due to the heat stopping at his elbows, breathing out he began coiling his aura in his legs and then in his toes.
Time seemed to slow down as Jaune and Ruby sprinted off the ground making craters. The Grimm turned around just as fast preparing to meet the two hunters.
Jayne appeared first, meeting the Grimm's two claws as they clashed. it raised its third claw to attack but soon diverted its strike to meet Ruby's own. The clash sent Ruby back flipping over she transformed Crescent Rose into its rifle form, infusing her rounds with aura she fired in quick succession.

Firing three .50 BMG rounds the force of the bullets amplified by aura sent the Grimm back quit the distance, its dense armor cracking.
Moving forward Jaune Lined up a horizontal slash, slicing its leg off cauterizing the wound to prevent its regeneration. Lashing out the Grimm shot out its upper and lower claw, before making contact Ruby intercepted the attack with one of her own.
With an upward slash, she cleanly cut the arms off, the creature screeched in pain before thrusting its claw at Ruby's open side. Dashing forward Jaune blocked the blow taking most of the damage, preparing another strike the blade of aura started disintegrating into small sparks. Taking the chance the razor-claw twisted its body and then proceeded to slam its lower claw into Jaune's chest.

"Shit," thought Jaune as he brought down his burnt arms to defend himself, he managed but the sheer amount of force sent him flying into the forest. Jaune!" Screamed ruby in a burst of aura she raised Crescent Rose which grew in size the blade becoming a bloddy red with a faint silver glow.
Infusing as much aura she could into her semblance, she then performed an aura-infused quad jump, the momentum carried her cleaving its head off with crescent-rose. The Grimm's body collapsed unmoving. Dropping Crescent Rose the blade quivering small cracks began to form. Exhausted Ruby turned to hear a groaning sound "Jaune" yelled Ruby with relief.
Ouch" said Jaune as a red blur slammed into him fretting over the wounds that he received. he tried calming her down "Ruby calm down, I'm alright," said Jaune trying to get her attention, instead she began checking his obvious wounds fretting over each one. "
"Jaune how is this alright, look at yourself," Ruby said noting all the bruises and gashes" Trying to get her attention he raised his arm but realized that may have been a mistake "Your arm jaune!" pan a king Ruby grabbed a hold of his right nub of an arm, the bone exposed. Grabbing a hold of her hand he gently squeezed, catching her attention she looked up and saw Jaune's reassuring look, gently removing her hand.
Ruby watched in bewilderment as Jaune raised his arm. His arm regenerated steam coming from the open wound. Ruby forcefully pulled Jaune's arm towards her. As she checked his arm, he could feel something wet fall on his hands. "Ruby, is everything alright?" he asked concerned.
Looking up, Ruby had tears forming. "Explain right now," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jaune gently wiped away the tears that were slowly falling down her cheeks. "I will," he said. "The first thing we need to do is head inside. It's starting to get dark." Realizing the sun was setting, Ruby nodded in agreement.
"Fine. But you better explain yourself," she said while helping him up.
Chuckling "Don't worry Ruby I'm not going anywhere," he said patting her head. As they walked towards the yurt Ruby looked towards Beacon her thoughts on her team
The scene shifts to team RWBY's dorm room

To say Yang was worried would be an understatement as it's been several hours since she and Ruby had fought."where could she be," thought Yang. Her lilac eyes turned red for a brief moment filling with anger.

Yang Turned her head with the hope it was Ruby, yet to her dismay, that wasn't the case. Walking in was Weiss who had a downtrodden look on her face before switching back to her composed look. "Weiss?." yang said catching a glimpse of her downtrodden look "Is everything ok".
In a composed manner "Yes, Markus had a last-minute mission with his team" Her voice was spiteful, Angry Yang decided not to pry. Looking around Weiss did not see their leader "Where is Ruby" asked Weiss looking at Yang.
Yang scratched her head" Ha, she hasn't come back yet" she said dejectedly. Weiss's expression changed, "you haven't made up yet," she said looking upset. "What's the issue this time".
"Jaune," she said her grip tightening slightly. shaking her head"She's still hanging out with him,". Weiss shook her head slightly" I don't get what she sees in him, well I need to wash up well look for Blake tomorrow,"
looking at the teammate's bed with a saddened look, she couldn't help but think of their argument yesterday the topic being the White Fang. grabbing her towel she heads towards the bathroom to clear her head.
Before heading to the bathroom "Yang don't worry about Ruby she's a big girl, she will come back when she wants to," she said giving Yang a reassuring smile. Yang gives a small nod before looking out the window, the broken moon shining bright before calling Ruby's phone one last time.
Zooms in on the phone before panning out inside Jaune's yurt
Ruby looked in wonder as they entered the yurt, it looked just as big inside as it did outside. There were multiple books each one different, but most of them had to do with the body or Aura. "Ruby," he called over motioning for her to sit. He then began looking for the medical supplies "Ha, found them" he said happily reaching up to grasp it Jaune left his back exposed.
Ruby could only look in amazement as the gash he had received began closing up. The fresh wound seemed to sew itself together before fully closing. "Ruby" catching her off guard she gave a cute scream. There was a small silence before Jaune began laughing, Ruby could only puff her cheeks and give a tiny glare towards the boy.
Shaking his head he took her hand "You sprained your wrist, Ruby," he said softly, wrapping her hand in gauze that had a light green glow. "What's that," Ruby asked curiously, " moon grass helps with broken bones." Her face tensed "How do you know that" she asked softly her voice concerned. Finishing up he sat next to her " I've tested it" he said Flatley. There was a long silence til Ruby spoke "So how does it work" Ruby asked."
Jaune was silent for a moment "I can't die, Ruby from what I've seen I heal from most wounds". "Most wounds," she asked softly scooting closer "I haven't tested my brain or heart yet, " he said pointing toward his organs. Ruby was next to him grasping his arm she noted how rough it felt, like smooth stone. "What did you do to your body," she squeezed his arm softly "I practiced here in the forest, and the Grimm I met I would use as a training partner," he showed her multiple faded scars on his forearm.
Her grip grew tighter causing June to flinch slightly "Why didn't you call me, I could have helped you," shaking his head "No Ruby worry about your team first, any word from Blake," giving a glare in response "Dont change the subject Jaune, but no I'm planning to look for her tomorrow. There was a tense silence that filled the room". Jaune looked at Ruby his eyes heavy "Ruby, this is the only way, for me to get stronger, if I don't do this Ruby it'll only slow you and our teammates down," hugging the boy "But Jaune, there has to be a better way than you destroying yourself," she said, tears forming. then burying her head into the larger boy's chest "I don't want to lose you Jaune, you're my best friend" she cried into his chest. Jaune arms tightened they sat like this for several minutes.
"Alright Ruby, I'll hold off on the training," he said gently removing her tears. "let's get some rest, I will sleep on the floor," he said pointing towards the starry night sky.
Time passed as they got into their sleepwear he wore a white T-shirt with black pajama bottoms. Ruby had to wear an extra pair the clothes that were too big for her. Stopping himself from laughing Jaune, made the large shirt fit her size.
"Good night Ruby," he gently said sleeping on the floor. As they slept there was a sudden tug on his shoulder "Jaune" said Ruby quietly "could you sleep with me". "What," he asked bewildered by the question. Ruby stepped closer " I don't want to be alone tonight," Jaune stared at her for a moment before agreeing and following her into bed.
"Hey Jaune," Ruby turned to face him, "yes Ruby" he replied "Can you help me look for Blake tomorrow" Jaune nodded "Sure, but please go to sleep,". "Ok, Jaune good night," she said pulling him closer. "Goodnight Ruby," he said patting her head.
Zooming out we see a yurt soon a crow can be seen perched next to the window looking in.
