A/N Agents of the Warehouse use Tesla guns. Basically, souped up stun guns invented by Nickla Tesla in this reality. Like all stun guns, they use an electrical current. Lightening and Xander's quickening, are electrical. Two electric sources meeting can cancel each other out. If one of those electrical sources is inside a human body, well that's why people have been known to have heart attacks when stunned. Because normal humans also have an electrical current in their body. Among other things, it helps your heart keep a rhythm going.

Xander heard a swishing noise and glanced up. Someone was sliding down a rope slide. Wow, that looked fun.

"Cordy, look. Someone's sliding down a rope slide. This place must be really big to need to use one of those if they're in a hurry. He must be one of the Guardians."

"Then let's go meet him." Cordelia suggested. Xander nodded and the two of them headed in the direction the Guardian looked like he'd land in, which wasn't far from where they were. They arrived just seconds before the Guardian did and then things went cockeyed, as usual. Something dropped from the Guardian's belt and shot electricity towards Cordelia. Xander, again acting on instinct as he had when Willow had directed a telekinetic blast at Cordelia, stepped in front of her, taking the full blast on himself again. His body jerked rapidly, as though he was having a seizure and then he collapsed to the ground.

Pete had spotted the intruders as he slid down the rope slide. He saw the man glance up and then the intruders walked towards where he planned to land. Unexpected, but he'd deal. Then he felt his Tesla slip loose, something it had never done before and drop to the ground, worse it went off and shot toward the woman. The man stepped in front of her and took the blast himself. He looked like he was having a seizure for a moment and then dropped to the floor of the Warehouse. Pete felt a vibe, a bad one. Something had just gone badly wrong.

Cordelia dropped beside Xander. 'What was that thing and what had it done to Xander?'. She wondered. The Guardian dropped from the rope slide and picked the whatever it was up and cautiously approached them. "Don't move." He said. "We don't take kindly to intruders." He bent down and checked the man's neck for a pulse. He was startled to find there wasn't one. He dropped to his own knees and began chest compressions, only to be shoved away by what he now realized, was a teenage girl.

"Don't touch him." She said.

"His heart stopped, CPR can restart it. There's no emergency service in Univille, which is the closest town. CPR is the only chance he has." Nick told her.

"He'll be fine, leave him alone." She answered. Which confused Pete, because no, he wouldn't and she should know that. "What was that thing that hit him anyway?"

"It's called a Tesla, it was invented by Nickla Tesla. Basically it's a stun gun. Kinda souped up." Just as Artie arrived on his people mover scooter and the others came running up behind him.

"What's going on?" He asked, seeing the man on th floor.

"My Tesla slipped as I was coming down the slide, it went off and hit the boy. His heart's stopped, Artie." Pete explained.

"Why aren't you doing CPR?" Myka asked.

"She won't let me, keeps insisting he'll be okay."

"Miss." Myka said. "He needs CPR, the longer it goes, the more likely brain damage will occur. Let me check him please." Thinking the girl was just scared.

"You can check him, but you don't need to do CPR."

"She's not lying, guys." Jinx said. "She believes he'll be fine."

"Because he will be." Cordelia told them, as Mika checked Xander's pulse.

"He really doesn't have a pulse. Miss, we need to do CPR." Mika insisted.

"You're not listening." Cordelia said. "Give him a few seconds and Xander will be fine."

"Is that his name?" Claudia asked.

"Alexander, Xander for short. I'm Cordelia, he's my boyfriend." Just as Xander drew in a deep breathe and his body arched up off the floor as though a shock was running though it. "What the Hell was that thing? I've never seen a stun gun like that, it like something from a fifties scifi show." A statement that shocked the Hell out of the Agents of the Warehouse.

"How do you remember that?" Artie asked. "A Tesla stun causes short term memory loss. In anyone that's hit by it. Not to mention, how the Hell did you just come back to life? Oh God, maybe he has another Phoenix artifact!"

"What's a Phoenix artifact?" Cordelia asked.

"It's an artifact that can bring someone back to life, but it does it by stealing life from someone else. Someone nearby because it's fairly short range."

"Oh, don't worry about it. Xander doesn't have one of those. He doesn't need one, he came back on his own."

"She's not lying." Jinx told them. "Again, she believes it."

"Let me guess." Xander said. "Human lie detector, psychic?"

"Never quantified it. Maybe." Jinx answered.

"Despite the rough start, Cordy I think we can trust them. And I am psychic, just getting the hang of how it works, but I was told to pay attention to it by a seer."

"Alright, you come with us." Artie said. "We have some questions."

"Hopefully we can answer them." Xander answered. He got up and dusted himself off. "I hate dying, reviving is a bitch and not a fun one."

Cordy doped slapped him.

"Owe, what was that for?"

"Jumping in front of me again. I told you, I don't like when you do that. Thank you, by the way."

"You're welcome."
