The Goon Squad had arrived at Casseroya Lake without issue, though Penny mused they were probably going to get there and discover the Titan Pokémon was like, a Porygon or something similar and they'd have to beat it by winning a game of Super Mario.
"Would that really be the strangest thing we've ever done though? Let's be real for a second." Nemona chuckled as they all mounted onto Koraidon and Miraidon and started their ferry across the lake. "I'll admit, the lake's so big it feels like we're moving slower than usual. It must be a perspective thing." Nemona mused.
Penny laughed, "The world's low on RAM, Nemona." This caused Amara to snort. "I love you, baby." Penny said as she kissed Amara behind her ear. Amara squirmed at the contact and Nemona flashed a wicked smile.
"Is that one of her spots, Penny?" Nemona asked as Amara steered toward an island in the middle of the lake. "I'll remember that for Second Respite." Nemona uttered, in a way that made Amara shiver. The group fell into silence as Koraidon and Miraidon swam. After a minute, the water started to ripple, and it seemed like something was following along underneath them.
"Yo, is that a Wailord?" Penny asked. Nemona looked at the water and shook her head. Wailord was a saltwater Pokémon, Nemona reminded Penny. "So, we have no idea what's underneath us right now?" Nemona shook her head. As they reached the island and climbed off their Pokémon, Amara noticed the Titan Pokémon right away.
"There, the Tatsugiri." Amara pointed, and true to form, there was Tatsugiri, towering over the others. "It seems like we're going to have it easy this time." Amara pulled out Meowscarada's Poké Ball and the other five followed suit. Within a few seconds, their Pokémon had knocked Tatsugiri into the lake. Then the lake began to ripple, and a massive Pokémon burst onto the surface.
"Fuck!" Arven shouted. "Is that Dondozo?" The group all fell onto their back feet as Dondozo swallowed Tatsugiri. "Let's clean up!" The six friends all called on their Pokémon to unleash powerful attacks and Dondozo fell almost immediately. "Does anyone else think that was anticlimactic as fuck now that we're dealing with the Treasures of Ruin?" Arven muttered as the group filed into the small cave on the island to find the last Herba Mystica.
"Are you nervous, Arven?" Allie asked as the group stood in front of the twisting vines, and Arven started snipping leaves. Arven's hand shook as he clipped, but he didn't respond. He took the leaves and started setting up the table, where he silently ground the leaves to powder and started making sandwiches.
Everyone was silent as Arven worked. He layered meats, cheeses, coated bread in sauces, and laid a platter of sandwiches on the table. No one moved as Arven cut the end from one of his sandwiches and pulled out a Poké Ball. His hands shook, and his face had gone ghastly pale. "If this doesn't work, I'm going to have to put a bullet in him." Arven's voice shook as he spoke, but he steeled himself and tossed the Poké Ball. Mabosstiff burst out, then crumpled with a whine. Arven approached him and gave a hearty "Come on, boy." He held out the sandwich piece and Mabosstiff took a bite, then two, then flopped onto the cave floor.
"No, please, Arceus, no." Arven fell to his knees and his eyes closed. "Not my boy, please, I don't care if it's me instead." The girls stood a few paces back. Penny was in tears as Mabosstiff grew still. Allie took a step toward Arven, then paused.
"Arven, baby?" She said softly. Arven didn't respond. Then Mabosstiff shook once, then again, and his eyes burst open. He leapt to his feet and let out a bark that shook the cave walls. Arven's eyes flew open, and he wrapped both arms around Mabosstiff. "It worked, thank fuck, it worked! You're ok!" Arven burst into fits of tearful laughter. He stood and wrapped both arms around Allie and planted a kiss onto her. "He's ok, Allie. He's ok!" Arven gave a loud cheer as Mabosstiff threw his head back to unleash a howl.
Everyone clapped loudly as Arven and Allie kissed, then there were hugs all around, and Arven recalled Mabosstiff. "I haven't been this happy in a long time." Arven told the rest of the Goon Squad. "Now, let's eat!" He announced. Koraidon and Miraidon approached the table and Amara gave them each half of a sandwich. "Miraidon," Arven started. "I forgive you." Miraidon let out a cry and then began happily munching on its sandwich.
"Forgive him for what?" Amara asked as she took a bite. "Arven, I might need a minute. It's so good, oh fuck." The others took a bite of their sandwiches and had a similar reaction, then Trish kissed Nemona as the group clapped. "Ok, so the sandwiches made everyone else horny too?" Nemona asked.
"That was not in either of my books." Arven muttered. Allie flashed him a sultry smile. "I guess that's what they meant by 'fills you with vitality'." He paused, then took stock of everyone. "Ladies, you're all exceptionally wonderful and I'm glad I met each of you." All five of them turned to look at Arven and held up their hands in the shape of a heart. "And I humbly request we not have round two in the middle of a cave in Casseroya Lake."
"Aww, fine." Penny muttered as she climbed off Amara's lap. "Where's your sense of adventure, Arven?" Arven wrapped up the rest of his sandwich and smiled at the girls. Penny wrapped up her sandwich and put it in her bag. "I'm keeping this. Now, do we want to go deal with the Treasure of Ruin now or wait until the sandwich wears off?" Allie thought for a moment at Penny's words.
"Honestly, I'm good to battle right now. This one is supposed to be ground type. It should be easier to deal with." Allie Announced. Amara, Nemona, and Trish all flipped through their phones to check their Pokémon boxes. "I'd use Kingdra, I think." Allie continued. The others all confirmed their Pokémon choices and wrapped up their sandwiches.
"Alright, let's go deal with this treasure, then Penny and I will jet up north, and we'll all meet you back at Uva for what I'm hoping is the hottest fuck I've ever had." Amara announced, smiling.
"You're a degenerate, my love." Penny kissed Amara on the cheek and the Goon Squad filed out of the cave and to the north shore of the lake.
