Chapter 1: Pain

Centuries ago in a world not unlike our own, a land of seven nations–feudal era Japan–had been at war with each other not once, not twice, not even three times, but four times.

These were the Great Shinobi World Wars, and they ravaged the island nation of Japan until they were finally ended by the leader of the Land of Fire's (aka Edo or modern-day Tokyo) Ninja village, the Village Hidden in the Leaves–the Hokage–ended this war and ushered in an era of peace.

But another great war ravaged this nation, ending the era of Shinobi and ushering in Japan's exposure to the world stage. Decades and two world wars later, Japan had since abandoned its Shinobi practices and instead focused on its industrial development.

This caused much of the knowledge of the existence of the Shinobi world to be either kept in museums, libraries and embellished legends… creating a sort of Renaissance in the ninja boom of the 90s, creating such Mangas as Naruto, based on the distant past with (unknown) facts as well as a bit of fiction.

But this state of relative peace changed radically when quirks first appeared…

In the events that ensued, chaos gripped the world for a time before the governments of the world got a grip on their respective nations. Afterwards, the age of heroes and villains began.

However, in the midst of all of it, they'd forgotten the past mostly… And now it would come roaring back.

As they say, the past always catches up. It's just a matter of time.

-Iiga Prefecture Japan-

In one of the many museums of the country of Japan, there was a storage area that held valuable and nearly priceless artifacts from the nation's past.

In particular, the Iiga ninjas museum kept one artifact in particular hidden from public knowledge. An artifact of unrivaled importance.

It was rather simple looking. It was a small jar that was filled with a yellow preserving liquid, with two orbs inside it. The orbs themselves were purple with dark purple rings all over it.

These two ocular organs were the Rinnegan, which were retrieved from Madara's corpse long ago, though the who and how of the way they were preserved so well–and even obtained in the first place–were details that were lost to time.

Some historians theorized it was Sasuke Uchiha or some other retainer of the Seventh Hokage (Naruto Uzumaki) but archeological evidence has yet to corroborate such claims.

It was here that a man who was definitely not part of the staff of the museum found himself stealing the ancient Doujutsu from where it sat. In the age of quirks, unsavory people would be liable to do whatever it took to acquire power.

"Ohoho! This will do nicely." The man chuckled. "Master, I have the package." He called into a comm link before a black and purple portal appeared, and allowed him to leave, no alarms tripped.

(Later)

The man was now presenting his find to his master, whose feature. The man was bald, had a large mustache and goggles that made his eye color unknown to those around him. He was presently wearing a doctor's attire.

"This is quite the find, Ujiko." The man's master, who was hidden by darkness, commented. "But I do wonder if the legends surrounding it are true." He mused.

"I am unsure if they are true myself, master." Ujiko nodded in agreement. "The only way for it to even be tested would be for them to be implanted in someone, an infant, ideally." He added. "So that the powers can naturally mature until they can become usable."

"Oh? And do you have someone in mind, doctor?" The man questions, hands clasped as he leaned forward, showing he had white hair.

"Why yes. A young baby boy who was just born a week ago. He's developed a rather… interesting quirk that I think may interest you." He added.

"Oh? Do elaborate." The shadowed man propted in intrigue.

"I've dubbed the quirk "Decay" and it allows the boy to cause anything he touches to wither and turn to dust. Even those touching the very ground it affects." The doctor explained. "It nearly destroyed an entire nursery." He added with a touch of fear.

"Interesting indeed." The man nodded as he grinned in the dark. "I'll be sure to take his quirk. He won't get it back, but he won't need it. The Rinnegan will be its substitute." He added.

"Surely you don't plan on letting him keep it for his entire life, do you?" Ujiko asked.

"Of course not." His master replied. "When the time is right, I will take it from him." He added sinisterly.

"And the boy's original quirk?" The doctor asked.

"Oh, don't worry doctor, I have a plan for that." The man chuckled darkly before he started laughing, followed by Ujiko joining.

(A few days later)

A small baby with curly green hair and freckles laid on an operation table completely sedated and sleeping like a log… with the doctor and his boss standing over him.

"This is the boy?" The man asked the doctor.

"This is him. Take his quirk, and I'll begin the operation." Ujiko nodded, pulling on some surgical gloves.

His master nodded in return before placing his hand on the infant's head for a moment before pulling back, a small glowing star coming with his hand. After a moment, he absorbed it.

This was the boy's quirk.

"It's done." The man said, stepping back.

"Then I'll get to work." The doctor nodded as he started working.

-Mustatafu Japan, Four Years Later-

In a park, a familiar green haired boy with minor facial scarring was defending a brown haired boy from some bullies, one of which being his old friend.

The green haired boy didn't seem like much at first glance. He had a shy demeanor and looked ready to cower. His one really noticeable feature was his eyes, instead of being green like you'd expect, they were instead a black color.

"Why are you being so mean?! You're making him cry Kacchan!" The little guy squeaked, his body shaking as he slowly raised his arms in a combative stance. "If you keep hurting him I'll–uh–I'll stop you myself!" He added.

"Please." The pomeranian haired boy across from him scoffed, pounding a fist into his open palm and causing a small explosion. "Without a quirk, you can't do anything, Deku." He added scathingly as his peons on either side of him activated their quirks, which were wings and long fingers respectively.

"I said. Leave. Him. ALONE!" The green haired boy yelled, closing his eyes from the stinging of his tears before opening again–showing that they had changed to a familiar purple coloration and had black rings around his irises.

"You really think changing your eye color is gonna stop us, Deku?!" The explosive boy yelled as he and his lackeys charged in.

Without really thinking, Izuku only yelled and an invisible force suddenly sent the three bullies flying, though it was weak in terms of power.

The three bullies landed on the ground, grunting slightly from the impact. Izuku, meanwhile, breathed heavily as he kept staring at the kids in front of him with wild eyes, almost like he had gone crazy.

"What was that, De–" The lead bully started to ask before spotting the look in the green haired boy's eyes. "Uh, Deku? Um… Are you okay?" He asked nervously, which was a good reaction for a child his age. His question seemed to snap the boy out of his trance as he blinked in confusion.

"What happened?" He asked before he felt a wave of fatigue wash over him. "I.. feel…" He groaned before he fell unconscious.

"Oh, crap! Deku!" The boy exclaimed in alarm as he rushed up to the unconscious boy and picked him up before rushing to the infirmary.

(Later)

Inko Midoriya was freaking the fuck out. She got a call from the school that her son had gotten his quirk but passed out after it activated. Naturally, she was pretty damn worried about her baby boy. Upon getting him at school, she promptly rushed him to the hospital to get his eyes checked.

"Fascinating." The boy's doctor noted as he examined the boy's eyes.

Coincidentally, said doctor happened to be Ujiko, but he was using his real doctor name: Dr. Garaki.

"What is it?" Inko asked worriedly.

"It would seem that I had gotten the wrong idea before." The man told her. "Your son's quirk is centered around his eyes, and they hold a lot of power in them, but they are quite taxing, hence him passing out when it was activated." He explained.

"What kind of power?" Inko asked as the doctor examined his eyes.

"I'm not sure. Though this first instance seems to center around repulsive forces." The doctor explained.

"I think I understand." The green haired woman nodded as she looked at her son in concern.

"It's good that you do. After today's events, I recommend taking him home and letting him rest." The doctor instructed.

"Of course." Inko nodded as she picked up her still sleeping son and carried him to their car before driving home. Back with Ujiko, he connected to a secure line to tell his master the news.

"Master, it's me." He said into the phone.

"Anything of note to report?" All for One asked.

"Yes. The legends are true; the Rinnegan eyes have activated for the boy I implanted them into." He replied.

"Excellent news indeed." The ancient villain said in satisfaction. "I'll start making plans to have them taken at the right time. Carry on as you were in the meantime." He instructed.

"Of course." Ujiko nodded before ending the call.

-Mustatafu Japan, eleven and later-

Timeskip eleven years later, and Izuku Midoriya, now age fifteen, was running his way to the train station to get to school.

The boy hadn't changed much over the years, though he did grow his bangs out a bit in an effort to hide his eyes, which he and his mother had discovered was more than it originally appeared.

It turned out that, after Inko did some digging through her old college notes on the Shinobi arts as a miscellaneous subject, Izuku's eyes being the way they are wasn't just some were a genuine Doujutsu. The fact that it was one of the most revered made it even more significant.

So, in a bid to aid her son in controlling his new powers, Inko started sharing her notes with him. They did training one Path at a time in an undisclosed area to avoid collateral damage. It was risky for obvious reasons, but in the end, it paid off and Izuku gradually gained control over his Paths.

Granted, he was by no means a master, but the control he had now was still good for the point in his life that he was at currently.

This, combined with the fact that he almost maimed three people with his powers before he learned to control it–one being his best friend–this left the boy to be much less confident and outspoken as he would've been otherwise.

It also led to Katsuki feeling intimidated by his power in the end, which resulted in him belittling the green haired boy out of fear. Izuku didn't blame him. It went unspoken, though, that the red eyed bomber wouldn't hesitate to aid him in a tight spot if needed.

This didn't stop the bullying that did occur from hurting his feelings, though. But the green haired teen was hopeful that the two of them would eventually make up, so he tried not to let it get to him.

Right now though, the boy was busy getting to the train station, where a huge super villain was causing havoc with the commute.

"Oh great. How many attacks does that make this month?" One guy asked.

"Six or seven, I think." Another replied as Izuku observed what was happening.

"What happened?" One asked.

"Just some amateur, grabbed someone's bag and got himself cornered." Another replied.

Izuku, meanwhile, was beaming at the fight before him, his Rinnegan eyes shining in the morning light as he watched the fight with sharpened perception that his eyes provided him with.

"Wow! That's a really big super villain!" The boy exclaimed. "Man, Death Arms, Backdraft, Kamui Woods! They're all here! Gotta get notes on this!" He added.

He then took out his notebook to jot down what was happening, which another person noticed.

"Hm? Hey, I know that demeanor." He noted, which made Izuku a tad nervous. "You're a fanboy, aren't you?!" He asked with a grin.

"Ehehe, maybe a little." Izuku chuckled nervously. As this conversation was going on, another one of the commuters took note of the boy across from them.

'Hm… He looks kinda cute.' They thought. The observer was a girl around Izuku's age and height with healthy caucasian skin, had blond hair in a ponytail, and wore a girls' school uniform (blue skirt, white leg warmers, brown loafers and a neutral yellow cardigan).

Additionally, she seemed very cat-like with gold cat eyes and sharp canine teeth. Lastly her body had a very lean and curvy look to it, with a C-cup rack, peach shaped ass and curvaceous thighs. Lastly she also seemed to have pink nails.

In essence, the girl seemed to epitomize the Japanese term gyaru (or gal).

Meanwhile, Izuku was still jotting down notes on the whole fight which looked like it was going to end with Kamui woods taking the prize with his ultimate move. Before it could even connect…

BAM!

A giant woman in a purple and white skin tight suit and a purple mask stole the spotlight by kicking the giant villain to the ground.

"Hi everyone, I'm Mt. Lady. The world's hottest new hero. So you don't need to worry about this bum anymore." The blonde grinned flirtatiously with a wink.

"Money shot." Several men said in unison as they started snapping photos.

Shaking his head at the antics of the people around him, Izuku just hopped on his train and continued on his way.

(Later)

The boy was now in his classroom and his teacher was busy telling the kids that it was important for them to consider what they wanted to do with their lives. And everyone–of course–wanted to be heroes.

"Yes yes, you all have impressive quirks. But no power usage in class!" He told them.

"Hey teach! Don't lump me in with these amateurs!" Katsuki called from the back. "I'm the real deal but these guys'll probably be lucky enough to be sidekicks to some busted D-lister. Ha!" He laughed, putting his feet on his desk.

"Oh shut up, Bakugo!" Another student barked at him.

"You think you're better than us?!" Yet another added.

"Katsuki Bakguo. You're applying to UA, right?" The teacher noted as he read off a list, causing mutters of surprise to tear through the room.

"That's right, it's the only place worthy of me! I'll become more popular than All Might himself! And be the richest hero of all time!" The blonde said as he leapt on his desk. "People all over will know who I am, and it all starts with UA high!"

"Oh yeah, Midoriya. You're applying to UA too, right?" The teacher noted, causing the boy to tense up as he kept his head down, trying to hide his eyes.

Katsuki, meanwhile, froze where he was as he glanced back at the boy with the faintest look of fear in his eyes, which he was quick to cover up.

"What the hell, Deku?! What do you think you're doing, applying to UA?!" He barked, hiding his fears as he had over the years.

"I-I've been working really hard to get a handle on my powers, and now that I can use them properly… I'm sure I can get in." The boy explained, still a bit timid, but he was steadily getting angry.

"You really think so, huh?! You think you have what it takes to stand by the rest of us?!" The blonde barked, small explosions going off in his hands.

"Why don't you find out?!" The veridian haired teen snapped in reply.

"Oh yeah, and how do you wanna find out?" The bomber countered.

"Two words. Almighty. Push." Izuku stated slowly. This had the effect of Katsuki gulping before he scoffed and sat back down.

"You better be right about your powers, Deku." He huffed, turning away.

This causes Izuku to sigh in relief as he sits back in his seat, allowing the day to continue.

(Later)

As the boy was checking his phone about the fight that morning, he was packing his bag so he could spend time taking some last minute hero notes…

At least until Katsuki suddenly swiped his notebook.

"Hero notes for the future, huh?" He mused, and was about to blast the book with his quirk before he heard a quick "Universal Pull" and it flew out of his hand and back into Izuku's.

"You of all people should know how seriously I take my notebooks." The Rinnegan bearer told him as he put the book in his backpack.

"All I'm gonna say is that most people know they're made for greatness from day one, people like me. I'm confident about my abilities, always have been." The Pomeranian stated. "But you've always been meek, clumsy, scared, and above all lack any kind of confidence." He continued. "There's no way you'd make it as a top hero with a personality like that." He added.

"And you think I can't fix that?" Izuku countered timidly, but still had courage in his tone. "I'm not stupid, Kacchan. I know my flaws, and I know what caused them. All I need to do is work on fixing them." He continued.

"I seriously doubt you'd be able to fix them in time for UA." Katsuki scoffed as he started walking out of the room with his mooks. "But by all means, knock yourself out." He added before leaving.

"Jerk." The teen sighed as he finished packing.

(Later)

Izuku started walking home and was rounding a corner towards a shortcut, but was stopped when he accidentally bumped into two people due to him not seeing them.

Curse his long bangs!

"Oof!" One of them exclaimed as they fell on the ground.

"Hey, watch where–Oh, well hello cutie." Another said as Izuku looked up and saw a pair of girls about his age. One with blonde hair and a gal look and another with brown hair and pink cheeks.

"Sorry about bumping into you. It's hard to see with these bangs, sometimes." Izuku said as he helped the two girls up, twirling his hair nervously.

"You might wanna consider getting rid of them, then." The brunette comments as she dusts herself off.

"Uh, s-sure." The boy nodded, before he backed up slightly when the blonde girl suddenly held up his hair to get a good look at his face, causing him to blush profusely. "Wah?! Don't look at me!" He exclaimed, covering his face

"You don't need to be so shy. Besides, I like getting a good look at a new friend's face." The blonde said as she gently moved his hands away. "Wow, I was right. You are cute." She grinned.

"Himiko, leave him alone." The girl's friend groaned in exasperation.

"Oh come on. He has a cute face." The blonde remarked. Then she saw Izuku's eyes in full clarity. "Whoa… Now that's a pair of eyes I can get lost in." She uttered in amazement while Izuku blushed in embarrassment.

"Uh um…" Izuku babbled a bit as his face continued to turn beat red.

"Come on, Himiko! Leave the poor boy alone." The other girl said, prying her friend off of him.

"Aw come on, Ochako. You can't honestly tell me that you can look at the boy in front of us and not conclude that he's the cutest thing known to teenkind!" Himiko blurted.

"Um… My name happens to be Izuku, in case you were wondering." Izuku explained.

"I'm Ochako Uraraka, and the forward blonde over here is Himiko Toga." The brunette said, introducing herself and her friend in one go.

"Forward?! Bitch you did not-!" Himiko exclaimed before huffing, her cheek puffing out.

"Anyway, sorry about keeping you, see you around?" Ochako asked the Rinnegan boy with a smile.

"Uh, sure." Izuku nodded as the two girls walked past him, though Himiko sneakily slipped a piece of paper into his pocket. "... Holy whoa, I talked to a couple of girls!" He exclaimed happily as he ran home, feeling like he was walking on air.

(Later)

Izuku walked along the path, now reasonably calm compared to just a short while ago. Though as he passed under an overpass, a mass of sludge crept up from a manhole the boy passed by. When Izuku heard it, he whirled around and widened his eyes when he saw what was behind him.

"Holy crap–!" The boy gasped as the slimeball covered him and started forcing himself down his throat.

"Finally! A skin suit that I can use to get out of town, perfect." The disgusting ball of goo laughed.

'Crap! I can't even use Almighty Push to force this guy back or I'll collapse the tunnel!' Izuku thought as he struggled in an attempt to fight off the slime mass to no avail. 'At least, not at full power… maybe…' He thought before he grabbed onto a chunk of the guy's body.

"What're you doing kid? You can't grab–what?!" The monster gasped as the boy's hand started glowing blue and something started flowing from the villain and into him.

'Preda Path!' The boy thought as he started absorbing the guy's chakra, and life force.

"What…?! Can't… stay… awake…!" The sludge villain groaned before he released his grip and collapsed into a puddle, Izuku having the foresight to only take enough of his chakra and life force to knock him out.

As the teen coughed up the slime that went to his stomach, the manhole cover was suddenly blasted off of where it was… And a very familiar hero he idolized leaped out.

"There's no–... Huh?" All Might started to say before noticing what was up. "I guess I'm somehow late." He noted.

"*cough cough* All Might?! W-Wh-What're you doing here?" Izuku gasped with a cough as he tried to wipe the slime off his clothes.

"I was chasing this villain, but apparently you've incapacitated him. How did you even manage it, exactly?" He inquired as he emptied a bottle and started scooping up the unconscious villain.

"I took a small amount of his *cough* chakra and life force." Izuku coughed, more slime exiting his mouth. "But it was only enough to knock him out, nowhere near enough to kill him." He added. This seemed to give the large man pause as he looked at him.

"How did you…?" The No. 1 hero tried to question.

"Oh, before I forget, can I have your autograph?" Izuku asked, changing the subject as he held up his Notebook.

"... Sure." The man replied with a shrug as he pulled out a pen and signed the notebook. 'He dodged my question… Why?' He wondered.

"Thank you so much." The boy smiled as he bowed, making sure not to let the hero see his eyes, which the man found suspicious.

However, before he could press the issue, he suddenly felt a certain feeling as he subtly coughed into his hand.

'Shit…' The man thought before he turned to leave. "Anyway, thank you for subduing the villain! Good day!" He exclaimed before leaping into the air away from him. It was then Izuku remembered another matter.

"Crap, I gotta catch up!" He exclaimed before he bit down on his thumb, drawing blood. "Summoning Jutsu!" He yelled, summoning a large bird with Rinnegan eyes and hopping on its back before giving chase.

This was the power of the Animal Path.

As the boy's steed continued to fly at near Mach speeds to catch up to All Might, he accidentally blew past the man as he was about to land on a roof, causing them both to almost lose balance and altitude.

"Whoa!" The No. 1 Hero yelped as he landed, nearly falling down. "What was–" He started to ask himself before his eyes widened when he saw Izuku land on a giant bird of a species he didn't recognize. "What the devil?!" He gasped.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, but there's one matter I need your input on." Izuku began as his summon returned to where it came from. "Can… I have a moment of your time?" He ask almost desperately. All Might regarded him with confusion and a bit of caution (because of the bird summon), but decided he could spare a moment.

"Yes, but what for? What do you need my input for?" He inquired.

"Well… it's… it's about my eyes." The boy explained, nervously fiddling with his bangs, still keeping his head down.

"Your… Eyes?" All Might questioned before steam started wafting off of him, which was thankfully unnoticed by the teen in front of him.

"There's a… certain legend that revolves around them, and I nearly got people killed in my efforts to gain control of them. Can… Can someone like me be a hero with eyes like mine?!" He questioned before noticing his idol was covered in steam. "What the-! All Might?! Are you okay?!" He shouted in concern before the steam cleared… And was greeted by a lanky version of the man.

"Well crap…" The man sighed as Izuku let out a startled scream.

(A minute later, after calming down)

"What… What happened to you?" The boy asked as the man sat down, before he gasped as he revealed a gruesome wound.

"Pretty gross, right?" The hero said grimly. "I got this in a big fight five years back. My respiratory system was basically destroyed and I lost my whole stomach, and it can't be fixed." He added with a sigh.

"... Or can it?" Izuku mused to himself, an idea hitting him. "... Wait All Might, before I share my idea, was that fight the one with Toxic Chainsaw?" He asked.

"You know your stuff, but no. It wasn't that." The weak looking man replied with a shake of his head. "Sure, he got a few good hits in, but it was nowhere near enough to put me in my current state." He continued. "No… This came from a fight with a tougher guy, a fight that had to be kept under wraps. If people knew the Symbol of Peace was hurt, then things would fall apart and villains would take advantage of it to cause chaos." He added further.

"Right… I'll keep your secret, if you're willing to do the same for me." The boy nodded, getting a confused look from the Symbol of Peace.

"Secret…?" The man asked as the boy let out a shaky and nervous sigh before he took several deep and calming breaths… and raised his bangs before opening his eyes–revealing what they were.

All Might could only look at the teen's eyes with absolute shock since he never expected to see them in his lifetime.

'T-T-The Rinnegan…!' He thought, his own eyes wide. Sure, he'd done some studying on the Shinobi era as a side study for himself, but this was very shocking for him. 'That bird he was riding… That means the legends are true! These eyes are genuine! This boy could be either a God of Creation, or an instrument of destruction!' He continued to think before he noticed the scars around his eyes.

They were barely noticeable from a distance, he was only able to see them because of his perception being trained over decades, but they were there. Which seemed odd. What were they from? A childhood injury perhaps? Possibly from learning how to control his powers? Birthmarks? He couldn't be sure.

"I've had these eyes for a lifetime." Izuku began. "Their power is vast, and the only reason I haven't caused any large scale destruction was because my mom was helping me learn, even if she had no practice." He continued.

"Sounds like she did some studying on the Shinobi era herself." The man noted. "But I feel the need to ask: Those scars: What are they from? Training, or something else?" He inquired.

"They're… Birth…marks… Why?" Izuku asked in confusion.

"Just trying to get that matter out of the way, since they're hard to miss up close." The man shrugged. "And as for your question: If you go on as you are, then you might very well become more than just a hero. Anyone who has the Rinnegan is destined to go farther than they aim." He added before turning to leave.

"Oh… I… I was always told that I didn't have the confidence to make a difference." The boy sighed.

"Confidence can be built, young man. Never let people confuse knowing your strength with fear." The symbol of peace told him as he left the boy alone.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, in a different part of town, Himiko Toga and her friend Ochako Uraraka were walking through the Tatooine Shopping District, when an argument across the street caught their attention.

"Huh? What's going on over there?" The cat eyed girl wondered with a raised eyebrow.

"What's up?" Ochako asked before looking where her friend was looking.

"Hey, why're you so riled up about Midoriya?" One of the kids asked a pomeranian haired boy next to him.

"Yeah, it is a bit weird. I mean, you guys used to be friends right?" Another more lanky kid asked. "But regardless, you shouldn't waste your time with that loser, really." He added.

"Because I know exactly what he's capable of." Katsuki retorted. "And it scares me…" He whispered quietly enough to go unheard.

"Ohoho fuck no, are they badmouthing who I think they're badmouthing?!" The bakeneko girl hissed as she glared daggers at the boys.

"Calm down, Himiko, and let's just move on." Ochako told her friend, trying to coax her into not attacking the trio.

However, before anything else could be said, the boy suddenly kicked a bottle across the way, which allowed a giant slime monster to pop out of it.

"Oh good. A new skinsuit." The 'monster' gurgled, prompting the three boys to turn and look at it in fear. Two ran off in fear (while probably soiling their pants) while Katsuki was grabbed by it.

"Oh crap! Himiko, we need to get clear!" Ochako exclaimed in alarm as Katsuki started attempting to blast his way free. "NOW!" She yelled, dragging her friend along.

Meanwhile, Izuku was currently walking away from the building he was on with All Might while wrapped up in his own head and conflicted thoughts about what All Might had said.

So much so that he had forgotten to mention that he could heal All Might's injuries with the Naraka Path to the man when they were talking. This embarrassing error caused the boy to facepalm.

'I can just as easily do the next time the two of us are alone.' He thought as he walked before the sounds of an explosion reached his ears, prompting him to subconsciously rush towards it.

However, when he finally got there, the scene that met his eyes horrified him. It was a giant fire where several people he knew and many innocent bystanders were trapped. Including Ochako and Himiko, and what was worse–it was all caused by Katsuki, who was in the clutches,of the Sludge villain from earlier!

Izuku's mind flashed back to when he blew past All Might on his bird summon, and how both of them lost their balance.

'Oh no…' The boy thought. 'This, this is all my fault!' He gasped, covering his mouth.

However, as he watched what few pros there were claim they couldn't do anything about this villain, Izuku's regret gave way to the determination of a hero. Without a second thought, he rushed in, ignoring the pros trying to call him back.

"Universal Pull!" He whispered, forcibly yanking Katsuki free of the villain's grip and bringing the boy to his side.

"What the-? *Cough* D-Deku?!" The pomeranian haired teen coughed up some slime.

"Can't talk now." Izuku told him as he pulled a thumb tack from his backpack and held it between his fingers as the monster looked at him.

"You again!" The beast growled.

"Almighty Push." The boy whispered as he flicked the tack with said force and sent it directly into one of the guy's big yellow eyes.

"GAAAAAAAHHH! MY EYE!" The villain wailed in agony as he writhed in pain.

Izuku then held a hand towards Himiko and Ochako. "Universal Pull." He intoned again, pulling them to him as the wind blew his hair up, showing his eyes. "Get back." He told them.

"Uh… O-Okay." Ochako stuttered at suddenly being so close to her new friend, but did as instructed.

"Get 'im big boy." Himiko grinned, kissing him on the cheek as she booked it out of there too.

"You're not getting rid of me that easily." Katsuki scoffed, sparks igniting in his hands.

"Kacchan…" Izuku uttered in an almost broken bit of speech that sounded both terrified and angry. "I'm begging you, please get back…" He told his friend. "Before you get hurt." He added, a tear sliding down his face.

Katsuki would've protested, but upon seeing the tear running down his face, he had no choice but to concede. He, like his mother, knew about the Rinnegan he possessed. He understood the power he wielded, which led to him treating the boy the way he did.

He also knew that Izuku could end this fiasco, and had the power to do it. Running away to cover, the pomeranian watched with everyone else as the Heroes tried to grab Izuku out of the way, but were too late.

"I'm through with you, you little brat!" The sludge villain yelled as he was, about to strike the boy–only for his slimy appendage to hit an invisible force field and get blown back. "What?!" He gasped as he looked forward, only to see Izuku's outstretched hand.

"Four, three, two, one…" The boy counted down before he could attack again. "Almighty… Push." He intoned.

The sludge villain had no chance at reacting in time. The power behind the push blasted him all over the place, and it also left him out cold since it all writhed, but didn't pull back together.

At the back of the crowd, All Might looked on in shock and awe. This boy– this demigod– displayed no hesitation in rushing into danger and fighting off the villain and saving lives like he had.

There was no doubt in his mind: He was the one.

(Later)

After the madness was over, the villain was gathered up and sent to the police station, while Izuku and Katsuki were being talked to by the heroes.

Well, "talked to" was a stretch as they were mostly just praising Katsuki for his powerful quirk, and admonishing Izuku for not restraining his own powerful abilities–albeit whilst also praising him for them.

It all felt so weird and gave the boy mixed signals, so he wasn't even sure how he should be acting right now. Thankfully, the heroes picked up on this and stopped.

"Bottom line, kid, if you become a hero, don't hesitate." Kamui Woods told him.

"Um… OK." The boy nodded nervously, his hair now a matted and moppy mess.

Before anything else could be said, however, a flush of wind burst past the trio of pros and a familiar antenna haired shadow loomed over Izuku, causing him to look up.

"That was quite the display of power." He said, acknowledging the boy's power. "Come. I'd like to have a word with you." He beckoned as he started walking away, Izuku following suit.

As the two left, Katsuki watched the two and felt his fists clench. He hated it when this happened, but he also knew that he'd have his chance to get back into the spotlight. That much was certain.

(A short while later)

"So… what was it you wanted to talk to me about, All Might?" Izuku asked as the two walked together, the man in his skinny form.

"Two things, really. One of them is that idea you apparently forgot about.: The man replied, causing the teen to perk up.

"Oh, right!" He exclaimed in remembrance, before coughing a bit. "I was thinking that coukd use the Naraka Path to heal your body." He told the man, causing him to take a step back in surprise.

"You're serious?!" He almost shouted, coughing up a bit of blood as he did. "... Wait, of course you're serious, the Naraka Path's King of Hell can heal anything it takes in its mouth." He added, facepalming.

"Precisely, and based on you coughing up blood, you need it. Badly." Izuku nodded. "Naraka Path." He intoned before summoning the King of Hel, a large being with purple skin, a large mouth, horns and Rinnegan eyes. "In you go." He urged the man.

"This is definitely a first for me…" The man mused before he allowed the demon entity to take him into its mouth.

The summon closed its mouth for several seconds before it opened again, and All Might stepped out… and he looked like he was still skinny, but was not nearly as gaunt and also didn't seem to have his injuries anymore, as evidenced by the fact that he had both lungs and his stomach again. Though it seemed like his muscles unfortunately were not completely recovered.

Izuku watched as the No. 1 hero took a deep breath and exhaled, a smile on his face.

"I can breathe again, and it doesn't even hurt. And…" The blonde smiled with his fairly recovered face, only for his stomach to grumble loudly as it protested not being fed in kami only knows how long. "It would seem that my appetite has not disappeared in the five years since my injury." He added.

"Let's get the second subject out of the way so you can get your weight back." Izuku couldn't help but quip. All Might chuckled at his words.

"Right, right." He nodded. "Young man, there are many stories about heroes and how they became great. Even ones like my own. But they have one thing in common." He continued.

"Really?" The boy asked.

"Their bodies moved before they had a chance to think. Almost on their own. That's what happened to you." The man stated.

"A-Are you saying…?" Izuku uttered with wide eyes.

"I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Young man, you can become a hero." He declared with conviction in his voice.

This made Izuku nearly fall to his knees in shock. Truth be told, he always thought he'd be able to become a hero with his powers alone, that wasn't the issue.

No, his issue always was if his heart and mind weren't heroic enough to keep him from falling to the corruption that absolute power can cause. Like so many who had the Rinnegan before him.

Madara Uchiha, Indra Uchiha, Kaguya, Nagato Uzumaki. They all fell to the corrupting power these eyes and its brethren provided.

So to hear All Might, his idol say that to him… it truly made him happy.

"I deem you worthy of my power. And as such I shall take you under my wing as my student." The No. 1 hero stated. "My quirk, should you choose to accept it. Is yours to inherit." He added.

"W-Wait… Inherit?" The boy questioned in confusion.

So begins the story of a demigod in the quirk age.

Dragon Emperor0: Man, I know All for One was a bad dude but… Stealing a baby's quirk and then using that baby as a centerpiece of an evil plan? That's just all kinds of fucked up.

ThermalsniperN7: Fuckin' right. And then he gave that quirk to Tomura later, so that means both him and Izuku are victims of All for One's schemes. If we decide to brainstorm a way to redeem Tomura somehow, we'll do it and have fun as we do so.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah. Also, don't worry if you guys are confused about Himiko being a good girl here, next chapter will be spent briefly explaining that alongside the Training with Izuku. Also, just so you guys know, yes we are basing her off of the many Japanese Gal characters in anime. With one's like My First Girlfriend is a Gal, More than a married couple but not lovers, Dress Up Darling, and Imaizumin's Apartment is a Gal Hangout just to name a few… that last one will become apparent in later chapters–trust me.

ThermalsniperN7: And I even went out of my way to come up with a hot as fuck GILF for Izuku's inevitable harem. That detail is all I'll give until that time arrives.

Dragon Emperor0: Additionally, expect our green iced cinnamon roll to slowly go from Nagato to Pain in later chapters. Ooh, look out everyone. Anyway, see you guys later
