A Merry Konoha Christmas

"Hurry up Hinata, it's Christmas Eve!" Hanabi shouted outside Hinata's bedroom door. Hinata was busy inside preparing herself for the festive season by finishing her very slight amount of makeup. This was one of the few times Hinata would wear makeup and a nice dress.

"I-I'll be out in just a minute!" Hinata called back as she put her brush down. She stood up and walked towards a mirror that she had standing up. It was a gift from her friend Kiba last year. She rarely used it, but kept it clean and safe from whatever might destroy it.

As she looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, she could get Naruto's attention with her look.

Satisfied with her appearance, Hinata stepped out. Hanabi saw what her sister had become just for tonight. "Wow you're so pretty Hinata. I bet you can pull any boy in tonight." Hanabi said. Hinata blushed a little and Hanabi smirked to herself.

The two girls started walking to the courtyard where the Hyūga clan was hosting a Christmas party. It was a tradition that the Hyūga held it every year and that was mainly because of the daimyo's court would often come to Konoha for the holiday.

And surprisingly, there was a hidden tradition that the daimyo's court had that envolved bringing their young men and have them try to seduce Hinata. She was the heir after all.

This year was no exception. A young man named Hideki had a major crush on the Hyūga girl. And last year alone he tried to make her his wife. She rejected him then, but surely she wouldn't reject him now. Hideki had wealth, power, and status. What more could a girl want in a man? But Hinata didn't want those things in her man. Hinata wanted a man that was determined, resilient, kind, caring, and bold. In other words, someone like Naruto. Or in Hinata's case, Naruto.

But Naruto often didn't come to these events. It was mainly out of the hatred that many people had for him. Even in the Daimyo's court, many people hated the jinchuriki. That was mainly because most of them saw Naruto as the Kyuubi.

But surprisingly, every year, Hiashi would invite him to the party. No one knew why, but he always did. And this year Naruto decided to come anyways. He knew a lot of his friends were going to be there, so might as well join in on the festivities.

Hinata was busy scanning the crowds for Naruto when Hideki walked up beside her. "Ah I see you were looking for me after all." He said as he smiled to her. Hinata instantly stopped looking and turned away from Hideki. She was starting to walk the other way before Hideki grabbed her and spun her around. "Oh no you don't, not this time." Hideki said as his smile grew more sadistic.

Hinata struggled to free herself from Hideki's grip while Hideki held in place with an iron grip. "I always loved you, and now I'll make you love me too." Hideki said before puckering his lips to kiss her on the mouth. That was before a fist came and connected with Hideki's cheek bone which caused his face to turn violently to the left.

Hinata looked at where that arm came from, to find a young Shinobi with blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and whisker marks. Hinata didn't need any more information on who her savior was. She blushed at the mere sight of Naruto. "N-Naruto-kun?"

Hideki turned to see the man that hit her was the hated blonde Shinobi. "Out of here brat, she's my fiancé!" Hideki said as he glared at Naruto. Naruto returned that glare with a more potent one than Hideki could imagine. "Leave Hinata alone, I saw you try to mess with her and I won't stand for that to happen to any of my friends." Naruto said as he prepared for a fight.

Hideki was so infuriated that he failed to notice that Hanabi had slipped away and Hiashi was on his way over to where the trio stood. Hiashi saw the Hinata was being held by Hideki and almost blew up on Hideki until he saw that Hideki was already in over his head. Naruto was there and Naruto wasn't exactly impressed with what he just saw.

"You can fuck off brat, she's my fiance. We were going to enjoy some intercourse. Right dearest?" Hideki said without realizing that Hiashi had just heard the entire conversation. Hideki might have not seen him, but Naruto did. "Um, I wouldn't have said that just now. Hinata's father can get very angry if he knows someone is trying to hurt one of his daughters in any way." "What do you know? I was told that Hiashi didn't care for Hinata." "Oh he didn't at one point, but let's just say that some events happened that made him change his mind. And now he's a little pissed at what he just saw and heard." Naruto said as he smiled his sly and foxy smile.

Hideki called it bluff in his mind. That was until he felt someone's presence in the vicinity. Hideki turned slowly to see the towering form of Hiashi Hyūga glaring down at Hideki, who looked like a shrimp compared to Hiashi.

Hideki had to think fast. He quickly changed his position from where he held Hinata in an iron grip into a tight protective hold. "Oh H-Hiashi-sama, I saw this demon trying to have intercourse with Hinata without her consent." "Don't try that on a man who has seen and heard the whole conversation. I am very disappointed in you. A young nobleman should not be doing such horrendous things to another's daughter." Hiashi said as he grew angrier by the second.

Hideki threw Hinata over his shoulder and ran. Hiashi and Naruto both took off after him. The whole time Hinata was screaming for help. The other lords and guests turned to see Hideki making a beeline straight for the Hyūga gates. However, he was too slow for Naruto. Naruto caught up to him and tackled Hideki to the ground. Hideki growled before standing to his feet. He handed Hinata off to his guards. "I'll take care of this demon for meddling with my plans!" He growled as he grabbed a katana and unsheathed it.

Naruto stood where he was and put his headband on. Naruto didn't have many other clothes other than his Shinobi attire so it was easy for him to become prepared in a moment. He grabbed a kunai from his pouch and pulled it out with a snap.

Hideki smirked when he saw the knife. "Such a tiny blade compared to mine. It won't be hard to kill you at all demon." With this, Hideki charged shouting as he did so.

Hinata's gaze was solely on Naruto. Time seemed to stand still as she watched Naruto suddenly lunge at his opponent. Hideki swung his blade aiming to slice cleanly through the Uzumaki. At the last second Naruto ducked and drove his kunai straight into Hideki's heart. He pulled it out with a snap that caused Hideki's chest to be ripped open.

Hideki stopped, gasped for a second, then fell to the ground lifeless. Hideki's guards were caught off guard by the sight of their master slain. Then they charged all of them except for two. That held Hinata in their grasp. This gave Hinata the opportunity to make her own attack. She moved so fast that the guards didn't expect the Gentle Fist attacks to land on them and completely shut down their network. Hinata knew that her attacks were fatal. But she wasn't going to stop until Naruto was safe.

She turned to attack the other guards and found only Naruto standing with a force of lords and nobles behind him. "Naruto-kun, y-your arm!" She exclaimed as Hinata saw his arm was fiercely slashed from a sword. "It's ok Hinata." Naruto said with a smile and a chuckle to hide his pain he was feeling at the moment. "At least you're not hurt dattebayo."

Hinata broke down and cried at the sorry sight of her love. Naruto reached up and pulled her close to him allowing her tears to land on his dirty, and ragged jacket. "You're safe now Hinata, it's ok." Naruto whispered as his eyes closed and he fell to the ground. "NARUTO-KUN!" Hinata screamed. She quickly activated her byakugan to find Naruto had merely passed out from the blood loss.

She quickly hoisted Naruto's arm over her shoulder and raced to her room bringing a medic with her. Hiashi smiled with pride as Hinata had taken action and was saving Naruto's life. "Everyone, I think this year's celebration is over. I wish all of you a merry Konoha Christmas." Hiashi said as the lords and nobles all left. The local guests stayed though. They weren't satisfied with leaving until Naruto was going to make it.

After a few grueling hours, the nurse that accompanied Hinata walked out of Hinata's room and informed them that Naruto was going to make it. She also informed them that he was resting at the moment and wouldn't wake up for a few more hours.

When Hiashi asked where Hinata was, the nurse informed him that she was resting as well. Hiashi didn't exactly like that response and turned to look in the room himself. At first he almost exploded with rage until his heart suddenly swelled with pride and love.

Naruto was all bandaged up and there was Hinata, sleeping on top of him. Her head peeking out from under her blankets. She was already in a deep sleep that no one would ever be able to rouse her from until morning. Hiashi smiled for a little bit and then closed the door behind him to let them sleep.

The other guests left the Hyūga Compound and headed for their respective homes. While Naruto stayed behind and wasn't prepared for the early morning Christmas drama that he would wake up to.
