White Witch

(Scarlet Witch + Zatanna)

Name: Wanda Zatara

Biography: In the small, European country of Mokovia (Markovia + Sokovia) lived two infants, Wanda and Pietro. Wanda and Pietro were twins and also orphans, so already it seemed like life would be hard for them. But nobody could have ever imagined what their destinies were.

They were abducted by Professor Evo (Professor Ivo + High Evolutionary), an immortal geneticist obsessed with bringing all creatures on Earth to their full potential. He experimented on the two, but when they didn't give him the results he was looking for, he teleported them to two different American cities. Pietro was sent to an orphanage in Central City, where he'd be adopted by the Allen family and become the Silver Flash (Flash + Quicksilver). Wanda, meanwhile, appeared in New York City on the doorstep of one Django Zatara (Django Maximoff + Giovani Zatara), who would raise her as his own daughter.

As she grew up, Wanda was no different than any other girl, apart from her father being a famous stage magician who was teaching her everything he knew. Then one day, as a teenager, Wanda discovered that she was capable of so much more than mere parlor tricks, she could perform real magic!

Rather than being thrilled by this revelation, Wanda saw herself as a freak and quietly searched for answers for where her powers came from. Her search led her to a Satanic cult, where she unwittingly took part in a ritual to summon the devil. Instead, what they brought to Earth was something much, much worse.

Instead of a demon with horns, red skin, and hooves, what appeared was the most beautiful man Wanda had ever seen. The man seduced her and took her to his bed where he revealed his true, horrific form. Before Wanda could escape from him, it was too late.

The next day, a mysterious old woman appeared at Wanda's door and told her she knew about what happened. She introduced herself as Madame Harkness (Madame Xanadu + Agatha Harkness) and explained that she had become pregnant with twins. One of those children was destined to become a portal to the demon that assaulted her, the ultimate manifestation of evil in the universe, the God of Chaos, Trithon (Trigon + Chthon).

She explained that Trithon had chosen her because she was a Homo Magi, a subspecies of humanity naturally adept in the ways of magic. Not only that, she had a power no other magic user ever had: the ability to control Chaos Magic, which effectively made her a goddess. Trithon knew that with her bearing his children, they'd be unstoppable.

Since they were both protected by Trithon's magic, aborting them the conventional way was impossible. So Madame Harkness offered to cast a spell that would remove them from Wanda's body and reincarnate them into the bodies of different mothers, where they would be raised as heroes who would fight Trithon when the moment came. Wanda accepted and, as a bonus, Madame Harkness erased her memories of the whole experience, allowing her to live a normal life.

Wanda grew up to follow in her father's footsteps, performing mind-bending tricks for massive crowds. Her shows were so amazing, she outperformed her father in nearly no time at all. She was an absolute hit, but rumors spread that Wanda was secretly a metamutant (metahuman + mutant) and that her performances weren't tricks at all, but real magic.

While she was performing for a small town, the audience started jeering Wanda for her supposed metamutant nature. The harassment hurled her way reactivated her powers and she accidentally set the whole town on fire. Nobody was hurt, but the townspeople had all the proof they needed and were ready to lynch Wanda as if she were a real witch.

Then the craziest thing Wanda had ever seen happened, a brain in a metal jar wearing a cape descended from the sky and scared away her attackers. The brain introduced himself as Magnimax (Magneto + The Brain), a metamutant fighting for his kind's right to be free from human prejudice. He asked her to join him on his mission and, feeling like she owed him too much to turn him down, she agreed. Wanda was brought into the Brotherhood (Brotherhood of Evil + Brotherhood of Mutants) and became known to the world as the White Witch.

While Wanda may have felt obligated to join Magnimax, she quickly realized that he wasn't fighting for metamutants, he just wanted to subjugate the human race. She constantly considered leaving but felt she had nowhere else to go. That was until her teammate, the Silver Flash (Flash + Quicksilver) offered her a spot on a new team he had created, the Avengers League (Avengers + Justice League).

Wanda was more than happy to be fighting on the right side. Her time with the Avengers League was some of the best years of her life. She even discovered that the Silver Flash was her long lost twin brother Pietro. She had also found love with an alien cyborg called the Green Vision (Martian Manhunter + Vision). The two of them had gotten married and were even planning on having children.

But Wanda's happiness crashed and burned with the arrival of the Anti-Beyonder (Anti-Monitor + Beyonder) and the Secret War on Infinite Earths (Secret War + Crisis on Infinite Earths). Her brother, who she didn't know she had for almost her entire life and helped make her into a hero, had sacrificed himself to save everybody. And as if the Anti-Beyonder hadn't taken enough from her, the monster had returned, this time with the power of the Annihelestro (Annihilus + Sinestro) Corps backing him up, and killed the Green Vision.

With the two most precious people in the world to her gone before her eyes, Wanda snapped and displayed a new level of power nobody else had seen before. She had completely rewritten reality to live the life she always wanted, with her family together and safe from anybody who would harm them. The rest of the Avengers League couldn't allow Wanda to impose her will on reality like this. So they all fought her and when the battle was over, Wanda, in her despair, returned the world to the way it was, but it was a little more broken now. The Avengers League had disbanded and the White Witch had disappeared without a trace.

With the world's greatest heroes now disassembled, a new generation would have to take their place, thus the world was introduced to the Young Avengers League (Young Avengers + Young Justice) and the Teen Champions (Teen Titans + Champions) and both of them were looking for the White Witch. Why? Well, the Teen Champions member, Pagan (Raven + Wiccan) needed her help to prevent her father, the demon Trithon, from taking over the world and the YAL agreed to help her. And the really odd thing was that Pagan and a boy from the other team, the super-fast Kid Speed (Kid Flash + Speed) looked eerily similar.

Yes, Wanda's children had reincarnated as heroes and were working together to stop their father. They themselves did not know this until they met Madame Harkness. She told them the whole truth before pointing them in Wanda's direction.

The Teen Champions, the Young Avengers League, and the regular Avengers League arrived in Latvaznia (Latveria + Kaznia) to see an amnesiac White Witch about to marry the country's despotic ruler, Alexander von Luthor (Lex Luthor + Doctor Doom). What's worse, the marriage ceremony was actually a ritual concocted by Luthor to steal the White Witch's incredible power for himself.

They were too late to stop him but Pagan and Kid Speed worked together to restore their mother's memories. With them, Wanda was able to take her power back. After Luthor was defeated, she told her children that she was proud to be their mother and would join them in the fight against Trithon. But for now, she needed to put her life as a superhero behind her.

She returned home to spend some time with her father and joined him on his stage shows. With her magic, they were a massive success. But, she still wasn't in full control, so Madame Harkness offered to teach her. Wanda accepted and became more than ready when Trithon came. As Pagan and the Teen Champions weakened the demon, White Witch absorbed him into her body, ending his threat once and for all.

Wanda has kept her powers in check ever since, but there is always a threat that they could go out of control. But even with her brother and her husband gone, she still finds herself surrounded by loved ones who'll help her in any way they can. And to anyone who tries to hurt them, know that you are incurring the wrath of the most powerful human in the universe and not even God himself can keep you safe.

Powers & Abilities: White Witch's full capabilities could be summed up in one word: everything. Anything Wanda can imagine, she can make real. All she has to do is believe in it and it'll happen. However, Chaos Magic is, well, chaotic, so in order to better control it, Madame Harkness taught her a concentration exercise where if she wants to cast a spell, she must say what she wants to happen backwards. However, this is only a concentration exercise and not necessary for Wanda to cast spells.

Appearance: Wanda has Caucasian skin, auburn colored hair and blue eyes.

Her outfit as the White Witch consists of a white leotard worn under a red dress shirt and bowtie and a white tuxedo jacket over that. Her legs are covered with pink fishnets and white high-heeled boots that reach her knees. She wears white magician gloves and a white top hat.
