Mira Pov:
"Don't panic. I'm just in the human world with Draculaura as well in what seems to be a coven disguised as a company that helps the community. I'm not this nervous due to how I have my mothers Medusa and Lyra comforting me since we usually visit human villages in secret for herbs and fruits, especially with Deuce since he looked after me because he believed I could get hurt due to me not knowing the environment. Yet this time I don't feel like that, I feel that it's my responsibility in coming here and helping out with the dispute between monsters and witches. I'm glad that she invited me along since going to the human world alone could always be filled with dangers and people that had plans of their own. Though that idea might have come from Deuce since he hangs around with the boys and watch those dramatic movies with humans turning on each other, however the witches here have treated us rather welcoming."
Later-Coleman Eves
Hidden amongst the eyes of the public and the rest of the city, the company that helped Seattle was actual a coven that was known amongst the witch world as the strongest and first ever to avenge the victims that were tried during the witch trials held centuries ago. They kept the name Salem to remind them of how the pain of what the humans caused would be used against anyone that would harm any witches, either by humans or monsters. Draculaura and Mira were in a room with black lint windows to help keep the sunlight from coming in and plates of food that were especially made for them. While the moth girl was sitting on the couch rubbing her hands anxiously about meeting queen Zamara as well about the plan on handling this issue along bringing up the Gigan attack they had.
"How you're feeling?"
A voice interrupted Mira's moment of silence as she looked at Draculaura who was taking a moment to adjust herself when she meets the queen of witches. The moth girl couldn't respond as her mind was on other things such as their friends back at Monster High and leaving two fake versions of themselves so they didn't get worried about them.
"I feel like I betrayed my brother for not telling him about what's been happening to me. Or that I knew that Ellis was involved with witchcraft, does that make me bad?"
She asked nervously since unlike Draculaura who wasn't afraid of going off on her own and able to make tough decisions, Mira wasn't. She was the ghoul that would try to socialize with others and be supportive, with how nervous she was and unable to handle the pressure of being here. Draculaura could tell responsible for putting her in the situation, it left her to try and help her out with them being the only monsters in the building.
"No, you came because you were protective over me. And I didn't realize how difficult it be for you to be away from familiar surroundings. So, the same way you tried to look after me will be the same way I'll look after you while we're here."
The vampire responded to the dilemma that Mira was going through as it would be a challenge in handling making peace amongst monsters and witches. Just as the moth girl felt comfortable with hearing the words from Draculaura, the door opened up showing Ellis as he felt nervous himself on having them meet his mother.
"Everyone's on break now. So we have a chance to go visit my mom."
He explained on how the employees at the company were either having lunch or stepping outside to watch the parade happening. The two ghouls followed Ellis to where they would meet the queen Zamara as well doing their best to be presentable to her. They followed the boy down the hallway where Draculaura couldn't understand the secret of a coven hiding amongst the humans, it was risky due to how humanity could be curious if they see the slightest hint of witchcraft being around the place. Coming up to what was her office room and showed her owning the company, Ellis stopped the ghouls seeing how he was nervous on introducing them to his mom since they might have read stories about her during their time here in the building.
"I have to tell you that my mom is an organized and also serious woman, she's led the coven for years under the strictest of circumstances and has a lot of fighting. So don't get intimidated when you see her."
Ellis advised her how Zamara could be since the two were thinking that his mom could be some type of war like woman that would take off anyone's head without her permission. Taking a moment to knock on the door for permission to come in, the three walked in to see an ordinary office and woman with black hair with hands locked together and waving at the two with a generous smile on her face.
"It's nice to meet you two. From what Ellis has told me about you both, I'm surprised you've managed to keep your talents hidden for this long. I can tell you're both powerful in your own ways."
Zamara complementing the two on how they had kept their talents of witchcraft and Mira's divine powers secret from their friends and family. Standing up and walking over to the two, the mother hugged both Draculaura and Mira in a friendly gesture which caught them off by surprise since from Ellis explained that she was a serious person. Though it didn't seem to look like it from how Zamara was talking since they felt rather glad they met another witch that was nice to them.
"That's kind of you to say since for a while I thought it was impossible for me to meet other witches like myself. Especially someone like yourself."
Draculaura returning the same gesture to her as Zamara had the two walk over to her table so they could feel comfortable as she pulled out her own grimoire and opened it to them. It took a moment before they saw several images of witches across the globe, each of them either had passed away or currently alive amongst the world.
"It has been difficult for covens to adapt in the modern world, especially how most covens have had difficulty with monster kind to that of Kaiju's. While Pandora's exile was a vital point in witches to stand up against humans, but also opened up dangers of certain monsters using the Kaiju to attack us."
The Queen said with a sadden tone of that in the history of monsters in the world, there were still several of them that wanted witches who wanted the destruction of their enemies. Draculaura knew of that history since Dracula had to establish an alliance amongst the various creatures to make sure no one would try and start conflict. She changed the imagery within the book which showed various covens deciding to either continue their attacks on monster kind or deciding to avoid the fight and live amongst humans.
"All this conflict and confusion was all because of humans casting out someone that wanted to help them. The only time we have received kindness that wasn't one of our own was your mother, Mothra. Despite how we had fought monsters for centuries and showed no mercy, she helped our injured and wounded even when no one would come to us."
She brought up the divine moth to Mira as it was shocking to hear how the moth woman was like a doctor to the witches even if they were the enemies. It felt inspiring to hear the story along thinking about how this meeting could help mend the bonds of the past and settle the issue between witches and monsters. Just as she had explained how Mothra had her hand in helping out witch kind, she turns on the television screen behind her which showed a room that had an elderly tree with numerous flowers around it and having no leaf's on its branches.
"Will be meeting another member who wishes to help our cause in establishing best tomorrow night, who will have an important part in establishing peace amongst the factions. In the meantime, I've had my coven get proper treatment for you such as a spare coffin we had obtained centuries ago, don't worry. We didn't kill a vampire or anything like that."
She joked with Draculaura about the coffin they had for her to sleep in which made her feel mixed due to how the joke might have been uncomfortable since the coffin could have belonged to a vampire long ago. With how the conversation had gone and with things being settled, Ellis would help them be taken to their own rooms so they could be ready for tomorrow night. The trio walked out of the office with a different outlook on the witch Queen seeing how she was both friendly and unpredictable at the same time when it came to saying important issues.
"I think that went pretty well considering how in the past she'd usually go straight to the point and take things seriously. I guess with how I explained to her about you shows that there's a chance for peace."
Ellis expressing an opinion that the vampire's accomplishment and dedication to witchcraft proved to the queen that she was someone that could be counted on. Just as they were heading to their rooms where they could wait for tomorrow night, Mira's head started to act up as her antennas started to move in an alarming manner. While Ellis was explaining to Draculaura her room and the coffin where she'd sleep in, the vampire witch noticed her friend not focused on the conversation.
"Mira?"
Asking her if she was with them in which Mira shook her head at the response and noticed Draculaura staring at her as she quickly assured the vampire and witch boy that she was alright. Ellis guided Mira to her room which was styled with fur and along a bed that could help warm her during the night.
"If there's anything else I'll get you some food. The chefs are good at serving anything, along making the best vegan meals around town."
Ellis telling the two before heading off to grab them something to eat while they settled in. Draculaura took a moment to look through her tinted windows seeing the humans pass by enjoying the day and talking amongst one another, this left the vampire to think of how this could happen for the monster community if this meeting of peace could happen successfully. Mira walked over to look over to see the view that Draculaura was witnessing, along how the humans didn't know they were amongst them.
"Despite what we're doing might have the others afraid and concerned. I still feel there with us, almost right outside."
The moth girl explaining what made her lose focus during the conversation which left Draculaura to smile at the compliment since it would have been difficult to explain to the ghouls this choice, she made in coming to the human world. It was better than staying at Monster High to let her friends fight this battle, here it could be established more to the monster world once the peace treaty was completed. The best thing both of the ghouls could hope for was that their friends would forgive them for their action seeing how it would let them enjoy the Fright Ball to themselves without not needing to worry about them.
Later-Night Time
With the streets near Coleman Eve's slowly having less humans around and employees of the building heading out to head home. The gang was able to walk out without too many people looking at them, along waited for Clawdeen's next part of the plan to happen as it came in a form of a van driving over to the food trucks that was 'closed'. The van was a technician's and was being driven by Apollo Wolf, Clawdeen's father who stepped out of the van to wait and see her daughter along her friends who tagged along with her on this adventure here by themselves. Taking a moment to wait for them to make an appearance, the group walked from behind the truck as each of them looked nervous at the human father since the look in his eyes showed a serious expression for what they were doing.
"I should be calling your parents on this escapade that your doing. But at least you didn't try anything before calling me."
He told them before walking over to hug Clawdeen on how it was a relief seeing her here and not harmed. Bringing her to the back to try and find their friends within the building, Heath's stomach began to growl as he could pick up the scent of warm food coming from the side.
"We should have brought snacks on this trip, oh wait. We didn't, because we got kicked here by a grumpy cat. Oh well, time to see what's there to eat."
The imp boy said as Rhodey laughed at the joke before joining him in seeing what meals there were to try out in the human world. Deuce and Frankie gestured to the pair in staying here so they didn't get noticed by any humans on the side, it left Junior to take charge as he would look after them while they head up to the driver's seat, so they'd stay with Clawdeen to see what was happening inside of the building.
"At least we got back up to keep an eye on Heath and Rhodey. The last time I was with them when they decided to cause mischief, it led to them making a minotaur vendor charge at them."
Deuce said with relief because Junior could make sure they'd not burn anything or try to smooth talk any humans into giving them snacks or questioning their looks. Frankie showed a small smile to his response before changing the look on their face to a sadden look with what he said about everyone doing something to keep them distracted. The only thing that the reanimated ghoul could do was think to themselves about how things were going and what could happen if they brought the others back to Monster High.
"Deuce. Am I helpful?"
Frankie asked nervously to the gorgon boy which earned them a look from Deuce on how the question was upsetting and dumb to ask. From the look that they were getting since it was unlike Frankie to bring something like that up, it was best to explain why what made them think they weren't helpful.
"For a while all I have been doing is watching everyone either getting into trouble and me having no way to help them. Especially having them explain their problems to me despite being their friend, even after I got these upgrades, I thought I can be helpful. But right now? I'm just someone that could get in the way."
They explained to Deuce on how they felt during the situation going on and having no hand in finding a solution to correct it or bringing their friends back together. He sat by their side speechless at what Frankie said about not being helpful or rather not participating in any way since this all started, it made him upset due to how unique they were in how they didn't stop when it got worse.
"You have not been in anyone's way whatsoever. The idea of you thinking that is dumb, because all this time you've been trying to understand everyone and their emotions. Which is something most monsters and Kaiju don't do, listening. Especially opening your heart to others so you can be there friend, because I know there are some that value you. Even if they don't want you to know it."
He gave them a reason for Frankie being important amongst the group as well how their best upgrade that they could ever get was having a big heart. The last part made Frankie curious about someone hiding their feelings from them as they tried to figure it out, only for them to be startled by someone tapping on the window. It was Junior who had Heath and Rhodey by the side as they were covered in condiments along burnt at the same time, while he himself was appearing like a big brother looking after the pair.
"It only took five minutes before Rhodey tried to convince some football guy that he was an actual pterodactyl. Had to come up with us being fans of some fake team, anyway. These two are staying up here and while we possibly head into the building."
He explained what happened as the two stepped out of the passenger seats and left the others inside as the trio headed to the back of the truck where they saw Clawdeen and her father coming out. Taking a moment to look on the monitor, they noticed within the rooms was someone without a heartbeat as well another that was messing around with the lights.
"Draculaura and Mira are on the third floor and security is on standby. Best thing I can do from here is put the cameras on loop for a few seconds before they go back to normal. Be careful."
Apollo informed them as well wishing Clawdeen to be safe since it be difficult to explain to security guards why two teenagers and a large lizard was running around in a building by themselves. Nodding her head towards her father on being watchful, Clawdeen led them to the back of the building where he'd explained it to her on where it be safe to enter. Just as Apollo watched his daughter going off on an impossible task, he heard some scuffling up front as he walked to the driver's seat to notice Heath and Rhodey eating snacks on his dashboard.
"Want some chips?"
Rhodey asked nervously to the technician since it was a stressful situation and thought it was best for them to do something than wait for the group to either find their friends or get captured by witches. Apollo remained silent and grabs some chips to eat as he heads to the back where he had numerous cameras and monitors online so he could keep an eye out for anything that might come his daughter's way.
Later on
Heading inside of the building from the back and avoiding the cameras around the walls. Clawdeen was on point and was looking around to see if there were any security guards walking around the premises, noticing how the cameras were acting up and not turning to their direction. It was her father taking control over them, but not that long as the three had to be quick in finding the two and getting out fast before they were noticed. Taking the staircase and heading to the upper floors, the four took a moment to wait if anyone would pass by.
"Clawdeen? I think your little friend wants in on the action."
Junior pointed at the wolf's pocket as it was the scarab glowing brightly as it was sensing magic nearby. Keeping quiet and not stepping out of the staircase, two people were walking by talking in French. While the others kept silent and tried to not make any sounds, Frankie's ear was able to pick up something from the passing humans.
"When the night falls, the light will rise again."
They spoke silently as Frankie was able to translate the conversation and tried to figure it out. With the close clear, the small group walked out and began to look down the hallways to see where Draculaura and Mira were located at. Heading down to where Clawdeen was able to pick up their scent, she saw two doors by the side where they both were in.
"You all check up on Draculaura, I want to talk to my sister."
Deuce said as he wanted to hear from her on why she decided to travel here with the vampire by herself. While that happened, the others looked at Draculaura's door nervous upon entering. Each of them wanted to come in and rush to see if their friend was alright, before they could step in. The door opened up showing Draculaura who heard the commotion happening outside and could tell from each of their faces they were concerned for her.
"I should have known you'd come for me. Even after telling you that I wanted to do this."
She spoke to them before hugging the three since she was glad to see them here. Junior was shocked to see this side of her while the others smiled since it was good that it showed Draculaura had missed them. Not letting them get caught, she brought them inside so the others didn't seem them as Draculaura soon noticed how they wanted to ask her numerous questions about what was happening.
"The least you could have done is told us than leave a note, take Mira and leave two really bad clones of the both of you back at Monster High."
Junior started the conversation off with getting to the point as Clawdeen and Frankie thought it was wrong to be confrontable about it. Yet, it was worth noting that it was wrong for what she did since they were her friends and needed an explanation about it.
"Especially how we lied to both Bloodgood and your father along that Fright Ball is happen tomorrow and we need you back."
Frankie bringing up a vital reason for her to return since everyone would expect her to be there due to how she's the reason why it was set up in the first place. The vampire shook her head about the dance seeing how there were more important things to handle then a school event.
"I can't. Tomorrow I'm actually making a difference for all monsters and Kaiju about witchcraft, the witches here believe there can be peace amongst everyone."
Informing them about not coming back due to how the fight in making witchcraft welcomed at Monster High wasn't going anywhere. Though after learning that it could actually happen here in the human world, where monsters and witches hide from humanity and possibly make peace amongst both sides. It was difficult to argue with her since she herself was a witch, along that it felt like what they did make at the school for her felt like it was all for nothing. Taking a moment to think about how it could happen, Clawdeen decided to question Draculaura on the idea if it could succeed.
"Then what's next? You drop out of school and devote yourself to helping witches? Forget about Monster High, your friends. Us?"
Questioning her about that if the peace between the factions happened, she'd be too busy with them to return back to Monster High. Along that her father would be unable to let this happen since he was at war with witches in the beginning. With how she said that Draculaura shook her head at the question since it was unlike Clawdeen to bring that up since she wanted to belong to Monster High when they first met.
"Really? I'd never forget you. Especially how you fought hard to try and be a part of the school, and you want to talk to me about being a part of something I love?"
Retorting back at Clawdeen as the two ghouls soon begun to start arguing about what difference was from when Clawdeen came to what was Draculaura doing. The werewolf and vampire bickered as it left Frankie upset at seeing their friends shout like if they were enemies, Junior noticed how it was affecting the reanimated ghoul to where he began to have his scales glow. The energy coming from him started to affect the lights which made both ghouls stop their arguing and for them to look at the king who wanted their attention.
"You two aren't the only ones that have a reason in coming here. More importantly, we have our own say in the matter."
The reptile spoke in a serious tone as the glow from his scales went away and the lights going back to normal. Both ghouls saw how Frankie sadden with their argument and could see how they wanted to speak their thoughts about the matter. Trying to question why Junior did this action due to how he could have melted through the ground, but Frankie kept it to themself since it allowed them to speak to Clawdeen and Draculaura.
"I just want to say, we were all scared on what could have happened when you left the school grounds. As well thought that we couldn't do enough back at Monster High, then later on when I continued to ponder about your action. I understood that your not doing it just to help out for witch kind, but for all monsters that know it. So they could be a part of it than be left in the dark, much like all of us before meeting."
Frankie expressed a connection on each of them on how they were all on their own before meeting one another. Though when they met at Monster High and became friends, they didn't feel alone anymore. Seeing from Frankie's perspective and looking back at Draculaura, Clawdeen felt wrong for what she said and how she'd felt scared about losing her. Draculaura herself could see that even if what she did was for the right reason, it was wrong to leave them confused and not telling them face to face.
"I guess, this is the part where you all hug now for acting like a bunch of monsters."
Junior suggested to the three since they needed to break the moment of silence and making sure they were still friends as well making sure they knew how each of them felt for one another. Taking his advice, Draculaura hugged both Clawdeen and Frankie to apologize for scaring them. Junior on the side decided to look back to see if Deuce and Mira were doing alright.
"Maybe you two should check up on the siblings. Might want some 'friendship' help in making sure there's no bad blood."
He said which left Draculaura to almost faint at the word since she was a vegan vampire, Clawdeen gave him a small growl for making Draculaura woozy but understood what he meant. Heading to check up on Mira and Deuce to make sure things were okay, the only ones left was the vampire witch and Kaiju king so they could have a private talk.
"If it's about me rejecting your proposal on asking me out. I'm sorry, I was just going through some things and wasn't thinking straight. While it would turn some heads at the ball, I could tell it might be weird for the both of us since we're friends."
She asked about his offer to take her out to the dance. While it was about that, Junior needed to tell her about something she didn't know back when he met her automaton clone.
"I mean, of course. But what your doppelganger said otherwise since you would go out with me, and Clawdeen at the same time."
Responded back to what her other self said which left Draculaura nervous and blushing due to what he had heard. Rubbing both hands together and trying to figure out how to respond to that statement, Junior decided to walk over and hug her since he didn't want her to be confused with the feeling. Surprised at how he felt warm and calm Junior was, the embarrassment she felt was going away.
"And friends don't let friends leave without knowing how they feel. Princess."
Teasing her with which left Draculaura to huff at him for the nickname and hitting his shoulder due to how it was a comeback for calling him dino boy several times in the past. Seeing how he needed to regroup with the others, Junior smiled to Draculaura wishing her luck for making the other members of the witch covens know that peace was possible. Heading out in the hallway to check up on the others, he could hear the other's conversation ending and Deuce coming out of the room.
"She says she's here to keep an eye on Draculaura. But I told her that if anything happens, we're coming right back here."
The gorgon explained to him during his conversation with Mira as Junior worked inside of the room to see the ghouls hugging the moth girl since they could trust her to keep an eye on Draculaura. Heading out of the room as well, the lizard merely nodded his head to her since Mira was capable of protecting the vampire. With that being handled and having no time to spare, the four quickly rushed to the staircase and possibly head back outside before getting noticed by the guards. During the rush, the scarab from Clawdeen flew out and decided to keep an eye on things since it could sense a tremendous amount of magic through the building. Deciding to take the same motivation as the others, the golden bug decided to stay back to see what would happen with the peace meeting between Draculaura and the other witches she would meet tomorrow night.
