Christmas Dreams Ch 8
The evening was filled with laughter as they sat around telling stories about when they were younger and Fran had everybody laughing about the time Derek caught the kitchen on fire, Derek said, "but I was only 5 and I was only trying to help". Fran hugged her son and said, "I know baby boy, I know but the look on your face when you were running around in your underwear was hilarious", Derek sat back in his seat and folded his arms over his chest in a pout.
It was soon time for the boys to go to bed but before they headed upstairs they made sure that milk and cookies were out for Santa Clause and carrots for the reindeer, they then high fived each other and said their goodnights before being carried upstairs by their fathers and tucked into bed.
When the fathers came back down a few minutes later Dave said, "alright, it's time for us to bring the Santa gifts", everybody then headed to the storage closet and started carrying in the gifts and placing them all around the tree. Penelope would wait till in the morning to put her special gift out for Derek, she didn't want to take any chances on him seeing it early, nope, it was only one more night, he could wait.
After making sure that the gifts were all around the tree and that things were laid out for them to be able to start cooking in the morning for Christmas dinner, everybody said their good nights and headed upstairs. They knew that Jack and Henry would have them up early so they could open their presents so they wanted to grab a couple of hours sleep so that they could watch their children as they ripped those boxes open in the morning.
Penelope and Derek were the last two people up, they were getting ready to turn in for the night when Derek said, "so sweetness, are you having fun?", she said, "oh yes, I haven't had this much fun in years". Derek said, "tomorrow is Christmas and you have a lot of gifts under that tree, have you been a good girl?", she bit down on her bottom lip and said, "well mostly", Derek said, "mostly, nowwww I don't know if that will be good enough for Santa or not".
Penelope laughed and said, "I'll take my chances", they both laughed, Derek then leaned in and claimed her lips with his in a passionate kiss, Derek deepened the kiss by sliding his tongue inside her mouth. Their tongues battled for control, each wanting to take command but the couple finally broke apart gasping for air.
She said, "h h hotstuff, we need to stop", he said, "but why, I know you want me as much as I want you, I can feel it", she said, "I want you more than I have ever wanted anything else in my life buttttt we need to get up in a few hours sooooo we need to get some sleep tonight", he said, "fair enough but tomorrow night all bets are off", she laughed and said, "deal" as they stood up and walked hand in hand up the stairs and down the hall toward their room.
