Prologue:
Welcome, everyone! My Shimmer and Shine series is the most popular, reviewed, and viewed set of stories! (currently almost 17,900 views combined) There will be some brand-new stories here. (Either one-shots or longer) I would like you all to give positive reviews if you see anything about my stories you like.
NOTES: Stuff like the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement (George Floyd protests) will be mentioned.
These stories take place over a year after 'Battle of Zahramay.'
New Arrivals in Zahramay Falls:
It was Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Davidson family mansion. The COVID pandemic had been spreading throughout the world. William couldn't go out to work, Calady couldn't go out much herself, and Mary was stuck inside, very bored...
Mary: (she had just gotten up, and was yawning) Mom, Dad, because of this pandemic, I can't play outside!
Calady: (sighs) We know, Mary. But until this crisis slows down, we need you to be inside with us to stay safe.
William: That is why I'm doing my job via Skype. (sitting in front of a laptop computer)
Mary: (sadly) I know, but I just wish we could go outside now.
Calady: Don't worry, Mary. I think things are gonna get better soon.
Zeta heard the conversation between Mary and her parents while she was walking by the living room. The sorcerenie has felt sorry for her niece, and thought of a way to make her feel better.
Zeta: (thinking) Hmmm... what should I do to make Mary fell better?
After thinking it over, she had figured out an idea that make her squeal, and ran upstairs to tell her husband, Marlin, all about it, in their bedroom...
Zeta: Marlin, I have a great idea on how we could cheer everyone up during this crisis!
Marlin: (excited) Really? Sweetheart, what's that?!
Zeta: I thought that... (hesitates a bit) we'd bring your sister and her family to come visit Zahramay Falls.
Marlin: Zeta, do you think that's a good idea?
Zeta: Well, I have to talk to Samira about this, but with Leah, Zac, and you visiting Zahramay Falls often, I think she'd be happy to have 3 more humans come by. (grins)
Marlin looked at his wife, thought about it, and then nodded.
Marlin: I'll tell Calady, William, and Mary about this, and you talk to Samira to see if they can come. If that's the case, we'll be ready this afternoon! (smiles)
Zeta: (hugs Marlin happily) Thank you, sweetie!
The sorcerenie then transported herself to Zahramay Falls by her magic potion bottle, so she could speak to the genie princess, while later, Marlin had spoke with his sister
about bringing her and her family to the land of Zahramay for a visit. Calady and Mary were excited at this idea, while William felt a bit nervous...
Marlin: William, I've been to the genie world. It's not that bad once you get to know more about it.
Calady: Sweetie, me and Mary will be right by you if anything bad happens.
Marlin: And Zeta and I will be by your side as well. Besides, wouldn't it be fun to see some new stuff since COVID is still going on in our world?
William had thought that it might be fun to see the genie world, and nodded.
Marlin: That's the spirit, William!
That afternoon, Zeta had returned from Zahramay Falls to give the news to everyone...
Zeta: Good news! Samira says you can come see Zahramay Falls!
Mary: (cheerful) All right! Now I can finally do something out of the mansion!
Calady: (nodding) Better than just being inside all of the time.
Zeta: Also, I like to inform you that I provided you with some great magical outfits for all of you to wear when we arrive in Zahramay Falls. Marlin. I upgraded your outfit, and made it better.
Marlin: (bashful) Well, thank you, Zeta.
Zeta: Is everyone ready?! (everyone nods) Then let's go upstairs!
Everyone went upstairs to Zeta and Marlin's bedroom, where the potion bottle was. The sorcerenie then did a spell to bring everyone to her lair in Zahramay Falls. Zeta's lair had much more color crystals and gems on its walls, to Marlin's amazement. Calady, William, and Mary looked down, and saw that they were wearing sorcerer's outfits similar to Zeta's, where Marlin's outfit was more improved.
Mary: (chuckles) I'm a little sorceress, aren't I?
Calady: (giggles) Yes, you're my little sorceress!
William: (looks around) Zeta, this is where you live?
Zeta: Yes, it seems I've done a little more decorating here since the outbreak. (points to the crystals and gems on the walls)
Nazboo: (comes by) Oooh... Zeta and friends!
The sorcerenie laughed, and kneeled down to rub Nazboo's tummy.
Zeta: Yes, Nazboo, it's me, Zeta. I brought Marlin's family here to visit my home.
Mary: Nazboo, Aunt Zeta told us that you change from a small dragon, to a big dragon, is that right?
Nazboo: (points to his necklace) Yeah, yeah, yeah!
William: Zeta, where do you two genie friends live?
Zeta: Oh, Shimmer and Shine live in a palace right above the clouds. We can take you all there right now if you want.
Calady: Zeta, that is really kind of you. Is there a magic carpet that's big enough to hold all of us?
Zeta: Sorry, Calady, but I do have a dragon that can give rides to anyone who can't fit on my regular magic carpet! (grins)
William was now feeling nervous about riding on a dragon...
William: Zeta, are you sure you don't need anyone to watch your lair while you're out.
Zeta: (put her hand on William's shoulder) William, Nazboo is really careful when he's flying. Besides, if anything crazy happens, I'll come in and help you so you won't get hurt.
William looked at his sister-in-law, and after reassurance from the sorcerenie, he replied, 'Okay, I'll give it a try.'
Calady: (cheerfully) Way to go, sweetheart!
Mary: (also cheerful) Let's go right now!
With Zeta and Marlin riding on Zeta's magic carpet by their side, Mary, Calady, and William riding on the larger Nazboo's back, the Davidson family saw the land of Zahramay Falls for the first time, and they were in awe seeing the genie world from a distance. It was amazing. When they all got to Shimmer and Shine's palace, William was the first one to comment...
William: I must say, Zeta, this was a pretty cool ride.
Zeta: I knew you'd like it, William.
Everyone then walked over to the twin genies' palace, and knocked on the door, to which Shimmer had opened, with a small smile...
Shimmer: (excited) Zeta! Marlin! How are you guys?!
Zeta: We're doing just fine, Shimmer. We brought some new guests with us today. (points to the Davidson family)
Shimmer: Oh, how did you guys get here?!
Mary: Aunt Zeta invited us to come to Zahramay Falls, due to all of us having to stay inside because if the pandemic in the real world.
Shimmer: (sighs) Tell me about it. Leah isn't allowed to visit Zac because of this, while we have to wear masks over our months every time we go to Leah's house!
Shine: (comes in behind Shimmer) Tell me about it, sis!
Shine then saw the Davidson family, and was so happy to see them, she couldn't stand straight...
Shine: (happily) Oh, my, gosh! What are you all doing here?!
Zeta: Shine, I brought them here so they could visit Zahramay Falls. Even I think it's a better idea than just staying inside.
Shine: Come on in!
The Davidson family, along with Zeta and Marlin, walked into the genies' palace, and saw beautiful the place looked...
Mary: Shimmer and Shine, what a great palace!
Calady: Beautiful gorgeous!
William: I must admit, this palace could be like a mansion for a genie.
Shine: (chuckles) Well, I don't know about that, but thanks for the thought, William.
With that, everyone sat down in the living room, where the genies' pets walked over to them, and jumped on the couch...
Mary: (in glee) You have pets here?!
Shimmer: Yes. (points to the monkey) That's Tala, my pet monkey, whom I love very, very much!
Shine: (points to the tiger) And that's Nahal, my pet tiger. She just loves those tummy rubs!
Mary: Like Nazboo!
All the magical humanoids and the regular humans had a fun afternoon, talking to each other, and having some snacks. (which Shine loved) After a while, it was time for the Davidsons to go home...
Zeta: I just realized... we haven't seen Leah today. Where is she?
Shimmer: She left earlier to go home, because she had a virtual play date with Zac on Skype.
Shine: But before Leah left, she told us that she wanted to do something big!
Mary: What 'big' thing would that be?
Shine: She didn't say, but she told us that she'll do that big thing in Zahramay Falls tomorrow. Would you like to come back and find out?
Everyone nodded but William, who replied, 'Sorry, but I have to work from home during the day.'
Calady: Don't worry, William, we'll tell you the big news later.
Shimmer: I guess we'll be seeing almost all of you tomorrow, then.
Mary: Oh, we'll be here!
After everyone said goodbye to each other, the Davidsons, Marlin, Zeta, and Nazboo left the genies' palace. The twin genies looked at each other with happiness...
Shimmer: Shine, it looks like we have some new people to explore Zahramay Falls with!
Shine: (gleeful) I can't wait to go on many adventures with them!
This was just the start of the Davidson family's visits to Zahramay Falls...
