Chapter 1: Kwanzaa:
Roadblock's POV:
I was on my way to Grandma Hinton's for Kwanzaa. I can't wait. I drove my truck over to Biloxi. "Hey, Marvin," says my cousin, Heavy Duty.
"Hey, Hershel," I said.
. . .
"I hope you boys are ready for a Hinton Kwanzaa celebration," says Grandma.
"So, maybe you can tell us about your new job," says Hershel.
"Sorry, it's classified now," I said.
"Oh, you secret agents," says Grandma, "at least tell us about your new teammates."
"That reminds me," says Hershel, "so sorry about Duke."
"He wouldn't want us to be talking about him on a day to celebrate our ancestors," I said.
. . .
We were looking at a picture of my late Grandfather. I remember his funeral, it was while me and the rest of the Joes were on the run from Johnny Law... and in that case, Johnny Law was Heavy Duty, oddly enough and we were both dealing with Major Bludd, the major pain.
Random Bystander's POV:
I was just walking around, when I thought I heard something. I then turned and it seemed to be nothing. Then I turned around and...
Roadblock's POV:
While we were enjoying some good Catfish, collards, and macaroni and cheese, there was a knock on the door. "Maybe it's Ripcord," I said, "I'll check." I opened the door and it's Jack, Miko, Raf, Erika, Nigel, Steel, Arashi, and Sunset. "What brings you guys here?"
"Trouble," says Jack.
. . .
We were discussing what's going on. "So, something's attacking people in my hometown," I asked, "good thing I came back here, then? So, when do we get to work?"
"Hey, I want in on this action," says Heavy Duty.
"You both rest," says Jack, "you get the next seven days off. The rest of us will investigate."
"But, this our town," I said.
"We got this," says Jack.
"Alright," I said, "but call if there's any trouble!"
. . .
I can't shake the feeling something's gonna go down.
To Be Continued
