Transformers Prime: No Autobots Are Idiots.
Chapter 1: Meet Cranefly and the Autobots.
(Author's notes: Ladies and gentlebots, welcome to my first ever Transformers Prime fanfiction reboot that has absolutely nothing to do with previous characters, and if you see any similarities, they're purely coincidental.
Also, the title means that even without those like Fortressimus Prime, Corvowing Prime, or anyone else of similar natures to the other Quadwal cluster OCs from my previous deleted or preserved stories with knowledge of the future such as the OC Autobots under Fortressimus and Corvowing's respective command chains, the Autobots in this story, even without Starscream, Acid Storm, Afterburner VI, Autoclave, Bitstream, Blackout II, Blast, Blazewake, Blitzwing V, Cloudcover, Contrail, Cyclonus, Dirge, Dreadwing, Guyhawk, Fortress, Hellbat, Hooligan, Hotlink, Ion Storm, Leozack, Nacelle, Nova Storm, Ramjet, Ransack VI, Red Wing, Sandstorm II, Skyquake, Skywarp, Slipstream, Space Case, Sunstorm, Thrust, Thundercracker, Wheezing Arrow, Wingstun, and all other flying Decepticons among their ranks, and even without outnumbering numbers in the War for Cybertron – more on that another time when I find the inspiration for it and when I don't have lots of other stories to work on whatsoever, or when I don't have any important life occurrences to worry about – like seriously, religious and scientific contexts aside and excluded, who knows what can happen in the future? – will be making smarter choices and will be making sure to not make the mistakes they made in the original cartoon. Both the ones we see fixed in fanfictions and the mistakes made that haven't been touched upon whatsoever, according to the TV Tropes What An Idiot page for Transformers Prime.
And next to that, there'll be center stage OCs similar to my previous ones throughout my Transformers Prime, Generation 1, RID 2015, Armada, and Movieverse stories over the years, but without being godlike and within a certain limited amount. After all, making different Transformers fanfictions about more than two God Mode OC Autobots and Decepticons starts to get boring and annoying real fast after a couple of years. And yes, it took me four to five years of my time writing fanfictions to realize that. Sue me for all I care.
And lastly, here's the official synopsis for this story: When a big assortment of Autobots arrive on Earth, they begin getting accustomed to their new surroundings. Over time, however, going eighteen years into the future, more and more new recruits give Optimus Prime and his group valuable intel on the future to put into practice when the Decepticons return. Among them is Optimus' Lieutenant Commander, Smokeedge, who has mysterious Cybertronian origins. When the Decepticons return, all hell is going to break loose. But with the possibility of being seen by more humans than necessary, with things to worry about such as MECH, more Decepticon arrivals, the possibility of the Allspark being discovered earlier than what the Covenant of Primus foretells, Unicron himself, the Quintessons, Decepticon stragglers after the Autobots emerge victorious, and the various other things that make the future for the Autobots and the humans continuously get called into question, the question remains: can there truly be no idiots among the Autobots?
So, without further ado, enjoy chapter 1: Meet Cranefly and the Autobots.)
(Transformers Prime Universe #192,394,596,203,495,867,019,183. March 18th, 1987, third person POV...)
After arriving at the building where her godfather works, Kaylee Burson then says, "Will, when you said I should serve my country, this is not what I had in mind."
Agent William Fowler replies, "Yes, but I promised."
Kaylee grumbles before saying as she walks away, "Don't talk to me for the next forty-eight hours."
Agent Fowler looks at Kaylee's form walking away, looking hurt by what she had said.
Agent Fowler knew that his promise to Kaylee's parents to never let her serve in the United States military as a soldier must be kept no matter what he or she had to say about it, but he couldn't help but question whether or not he wanted to risk losing Kaylee's love and respect just by denying her the opportunity to serve their country's armed forces as an active soldier.
Agent Fowler knew that when Kaylee's father died in active duty and when her mother died of cancer, he promised each of them on their deathbeds he would raise Kaylee, and they made him promise to never enlist her as a soldier, for fear that they in Heaven would have to witness her suffer grievous injuries or even suffer the rest of her life as an amputee until she dies of either cancer or old age.
But Agent Fowler also knew that Kaylee didn't care about her life as much as she cared about the lives, security, and future of the country she was born and raised in.
For Kaylee, as long as she ensures that the people of the United States have a future to work for and to live for, she had no regrets.
And now that Agent Fowler got Kaylee a librarian job for the United States Army Base where he also works, suffice to say that Kaylee's already thinned out patience was almost at a rage-inducing breaking point.
Soon, Kaylee was shaking hands with her orientation officer, and she was given the rundown of her new job.
After everything was done, along with Kaylee getting her clearance badge to handle secret classified data, she was dismissed.
Kaylee goes home in her own car, no longer trusting Agent Fowler to take her home thanks to her extremely thinned out patience.
As she was parking her car in her and Agent Fowler's shared parking lot, Agent Fowler starts to say, "Kaylee – "
Kaylee then interrupts him to say as well as signify she has officially lost her patience, "I don't know you; I don't even know who you are. Depart from me."
Agent Fowler replies, "Kaylee, you know I have to keep my promise."
Kaylee turns around to look at him with a very ugly scowl on her face that made Agent Fowler step back in fear, and it was fitting because Kaylee was taller than he is, and more muscular.
Kaylee replies, "Sometimes, it's easier to make a promise than it is to keep that promise, and sometimes, some promises are never meant to be kept. And I don't give a s(bleep!) on what my parents want for me; serving our country is what I and I alone want, and I won't stop for anything! So, f(bleep!) you, you piece of s(bleep!), and have a nice life!"
Kaylee storms inside the house, locking the door behind her and activating the lockdown protocols.
Agent Fowler hangs his head.
Agent Fowler looks up at the sky, hoping that Branden and Raylee's spirits in Heaven can hear him despite not being proficiently religious like the portion of 64% of United States citizens which includes children, and he asks, "Raylee, Branden, what am I supposed to do?"
The next week later, on her way to her new home, Kaylee notices a star in the sky, and a very bright one at that.
But she was confused, as the sun had been glowing due to it being midday.
That's the moment where the star grew bigger and drew closer.
That's when Kaylee realized that it wasn't a star; it was a meteorite.
Kaylee quickly drove on the exact same course as the meteor falling towards the farthest part of the desert away from the city of Jasper, Nevada while still obeying the rules of the road until she gets past the city limits.
After the meteor crashes, Kaylee pulls over behind some trees and shrubbery.
She knows that her godfather will want to know about this even if she doesn't call him, but she still decides to harden her heart and stand by what she believes is right.
Kaylee looks at the meteor, but then, part of it opens as she discovers it's not a star or a meteorite; it's actually an alien spaceship!
Soon, over ninety-eight thousand, two hundred and ninety-one robots emerged from the ship, each and every one of them being taller than Kaylee, with about five thousand and forty-six of them changing their sizes to the point of becoming literal mountain-sized giants and with their robot modes being armed to the teeth.
Kaylee's jaw drops as she takes a picture.
The unknown robots seem to be speaking their native alien language, which sounds like a mixture of Earth words and vowels combined with beeps and whirs.
Kaylee tries to sneak away, but she ends crumbling a small rock with an unintentional kick, alerting the robots to her presence.
But before she can even try to find any form of cover, she gets grabbed by her waist from behind and pulled up gently.
Kaylee starts panicking even as the small female robot holding her walks to the other male and female robots.
Kaylee shrieks, "Let go of me! Put me down this instant, please!"
The robot's head tilts in a curious manner, and her eyes flicker for a moment, as do the others.
The one in question smiles a bit as she asks, "Hey, there. I'm guessing you're one of the locals on this planet?"
Kaylee freezes as she asks in response, "You can speak English now?"
The robot replies smugly, "Yes, now, we do."
The tallest robot then says, "Easy, human. We mean you and your planet Earth no form of harm."
Kaylee then asks, "Then, can you please put me down? Your grip is crushing my ribs."
The robot in question replies, "Oops." And she puts Kaylee down gently.
Kaylee takes a few deep breaths to ease the pain in her ribs.
As she finishes, the leader of the robots then asks as he kneels to Kaylee's level, "What is your name, human?"
Kaylee answers, "I'm Kaylee Burson, but like with everyone else on Earth, if we happen to be friends with each other, we address each other by our first names. So, please, call me Kaylee."
The leader replies, "Very well, Kaylee. We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron, or Autobots for short."
Kaylee takes a deep breath to calm her heartbeat and she inquires, "You guys aren't gonna kill me, are you?"
The medic answers, "It wouldn't be that hard; you're organic and with no protective shell."
Kaylee scowls at that remark.
The leader says, "Easy, Ratchet; we do not need to raise a fuss with the world leaders."
The yellow robot comes up and buzzes, "That's a human? I read about them in the Cybertronian Archives. They're interesting for an organic species, and I think it'd be exciting to learn more about them."
The medic now identified as Ratchet scoffs, "Humans are barely exciting or intriguing. They can't even transform!"
Kaylee then says, "The only way humans could '"transform"' into vehicles or animals would be if a human is given the superpower of shapeshifting into anything they desire, and that doesn't exist in this real life version of our world."
The leader then says, "Nevertheless, Ratchet, she is correct on her example. And also nevertheless, the humans are a species unknown to Cybertronians, and thus we must be open to the possibilities of things to learn about this planet."
Kaylee then asks, "So, how did you guys learn about how to speak proper English in a short amount of time? You couldn't've picked it up from the World Wide Web, could you?"
Ratchet replies, "As a matter of fact, we did, and it was too easy as the World Wide Web for the most part is only data."
Kaylee then says before asking, "Okay, then. So, what do I call you guys?"
The leader then says before saying while gesturing to Ratchet, "I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. This is Ratchet, our chief medical officer."
Ratchet puffs out his chestplate while doing a superhero pose.
Optimus then says while gesturing to the first female robot, "This is Cranefly, our frontline specialist."
Cranefly smiles down at Kaylee.
Optimus then gestures to the green robot and says, "This is Bulkhead, the main muscle of our group."
Bulkhead waves at Kaylee and she waves back.
Optimus then says as he gestures to the yellow robot, "This is Bumblebee, our scout."
Kaylee then says, "Nice to meet you, Bumblebee."
Bumblebee buzzes, "Same here, Kaylee."
Kaylee replies, "Good to hear."
Ratchet then sputters as he asks in shock, "How-how can you understand Bumblebee?!"
Kaylee answers, "Well, Bumblebee's beeps and whirs are similar to Morse code, one of the many complex, non-vocal languages on Earth. For example..."
Kaylee demonstrates by tapping her feet in Morse code to say, "Time for the meeting."
Bulkhead asks, "What did she say in Morse code?"
Optimus answers, "She said for her example, time for the meeting, in Morse code."
Ratchet replies, "Oh. Now I get it."
Optimus then says while gesturing to a reddish-brown and desert camouflage beige Autobot, "This is Fallback, one of our scouts whose task is to scout planets of strategic vitality for resources to use sparingly and to best utilize any environment for defense against our enemies, the Decepticons."
Fallback then says, "Based on my calculations, this planet is teeming with not only organic matters of wood, flesh, blood, cartilage, bone, chlorophyll, lawn clippings, and soil for the humans, animals, insects, and plant life, but also inorganic materials built for this planet's technology."
Optimus replies before saying as he gestures to an aquamarine green and black Autobot with black cannons on his arms, "Thanks for the report, Fallback. Anyway, this is Kup, one of our veterans and also one of our sergeants."
Kup then says, "Nice to meet ya, young lady."
Kaylee then says, "Nice to meet you too, Kup, and just so there's no miscommunication in the future, my parents taught me to respect my elders."
Kup then replies, "I'm starting to like you already."
Optimus then gestures to a blue and orange Autobot who looks like Bumblebee, but with flame decorations and with large black goggles over his forehead, "This is Hot Shot, one of our soldiers."
Hot Shot says, "Nice to see you're looking fashionable."
Kaylee blushes at that.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a now city-sized version of himself as a battle station that can also turn into a giant armored personnel carrier and can also alter his size at will, "This is Optimus Maximus, our last resort against the Decepticons."
Optimus Maximus then says, with his booming voice softened for volume, "Nice to know that humans like her are willing to hear our story if we get on the right path."
Optimus then says as he gestures to a white and black Autobot who looks like he can turn into a police cruiser, "This is Prowl, our military strategist and a former police officer on Cybertron."
Prowl then says as he finishes looking over Kaylee's file, "Kaylee has a clean record free of school troubles, free of bad behavior in day to day life, and no signs of disrespecting any rules in any of her jobs."
The leader of the Autobots nods before gesturing to a yellowish-orange, black, and purple Autobot with two cannons on his shoulders, "This is Huffer, our tech specialist and construction engineer."
Huffer then says, "Ah, some of the humans could benefit better for their organic environment if they built techno-organic cities."
Optimus shakes his head in slight exasperation before saying as he gestures to a black and red Huffer lookalike, "This is Trailbreaker, our wilderness commando."
The leader of the Autobots then says as he gestures to an assortment of twenty-six thousand, six hundred and ten identical car Autobots with visored battle masks, "These are one-seventieth of our remaining subgroups of generic troops, the Autotroopers. For a time, millions to billions of Autotroopers made up part of the bulk of the Autobot armies."
The Autotroopers saluted Kaylee, and she saluted them back.
Then Optimus gestures to a light blue and white Autobot who looks like she can turn into a civilian racecar in the shape of a standard sports car with a roof, "This is Chromia, one out of our many commanders."
Chromia then says, "Nice to meet you, young lady."
Kaylee shakes Chromia's right pointer digit carefully, knowing that humans are too small for Cybertronian servo shakes.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a blue and orange Autobot who turns into a surfer bus, "This is Outsider, and though he is what you humans call an antisocial lone wolf, (Outsider: Hey!) he still shares one thing in common with me, and it is the belief that actions speak louder than words."
Outsider then looks over Kaylee, and after rubbing her sides, she says, "Hey, careful! That tickles."
Outsider replies, "Oops."
Optimus then moves on by introducing a white, red, and blue Autobot who looks like he has small elements of samurai armor on his body, "This is Swagger, one of our few troops to be trained to be a Cybertronian samurai."
Swagger then looks over Kaylee and he shakes his head as he says, "Humans are totally different from what I read about them in the Cybertronian Archives."
Optimus then says as he gestures to a silver, white, and black Autobot with flame decorations, "This is Sparkscape, one of our few troops to have healing powers for himself and for the rest of us, as well as one of our scouts whose task is to make sure that any offensive strike against the Decepticons is carefully measured, even to the topic of whatever materials could potentially be set on fire."
Sparkscape then says, "I think I should learn more about this planet so I can pass on such knowledge to everyone of our troops in order to make sure that our fights against the Decepticons don't accidentally set anything on fire."
Optimus then says before gesturing to a cerulean blue and black Autobot with artillery weapons on him, "Excellent idea, Sparkscape. Anyway, this is Monsoon, one of our few friends who can rain heavy artillery on Decepticons and heal our allies."
Monsoon looks at Kaylee then says, "She doesn't look like much for now."
Kaylee then says, "That may be so, but human soldiers and civilians, depending on upbringing and depending on education and intelligence levels, are just as brave as Autobots."
Monsoon nods in understanding.
Optimus then gestures to a light cerulean blue Autobot, "This is Overclock, one of our master spies."
Overclock then holds out a peace sign.
Optimus then says to introduce a red and black Autobot with black and white cannons on his arms, "This is Ironhide, our weapon specialist, lieutenant, and veteran."
Ironhide waves at Kaylee and she waves back.
Optimus then gestures to a red, white, and cyan blue Autobot who also looks like a medic, "This is Triage, another one of our medics."
Triage then scans Kaylee and he says, "By your species' standards, madam, your body is in a perfect state of health."
Kaylee then says, "Uh, thanks, Triage."
Optimus then gestures to a navy blue and orange Autobot, "This is Macro, our tactical espionage specialist."
Macro then says, "Nice to meet you."
Optimus then says as he gestures to a cyan green and white Autobot, "This is Moonracer, one of our proficient snipers."
Moonracer kneels towards Kaylee, and she shakes hand and digit with her.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a cerulean blue and orange Autobot who looks like he can transform into a missile turret truck, "This is Impactor, the commander of the Wreckers, an Autobot unit that operates black ops style."
Impactor then says, "Based on my quick scans of this organic environment, any fight with the Decepticons must be carefully calculated to avoid legal trouble with the world leaders."
Optimus nods before saying as he gestures to a red, yellow, blue, and black Autobot who looks like he can turn into an airport crash fire truck, "This is Pyro, one of the few Wreckers to be truly selfless."
Pyro then takes out his water hose and gently blasts some water into Kaylee's water bottle, allowing her to get a drink.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a pair of Autobot fliers who look exactly the same but with one of them being in a paint job of opposite colors, "These are Rack and Ruin, two of our fliers inducted into the Wreckers."
Rack and Ruin look at Kaylee and they all shake digits and hands.
Optimus then gestures to an orange and green Autobot armed to the teeth, "This is Roadbuster, one of our frontline specialists in the Wreckers who knows about warfare."
Roadbuster looks at Kaylee before saying, "She's perfectly fine by me."
Optimus then says as he gestures to a red, yellow, and orange Autobot, "This is Hot Rod, one of our archers and members of the Wreckers who knows a thing or two about how to properly get approval for anything."
Hot Rod looks at Kaylee and asks, "So, she's the first human to know about us?"
Optimus answers before gesturing to a white, red, and black Autobot who looks like he could turn into a Cybertronian equivalent of a monster truck, "Yes, she is, Hot Rod. Anyway, this is Showdown, a former gladiator champion who has what you might call a heart of gold."
Showdown gently ruffles Kaylee's hair, and she straightens out her hair back to how it was groomed.
Then Optimus says as he gestures to a red, yellow and black hulking Autobot, "This is Ripraw, and he happens to be one of the few but still many Autobots to pump some iron ions when off-duty and also one of the few but still many Autobots to take battlefields seriously."
Ripraw then asks, "How often do you exercise, Kaylee?"
Kaylee answers, "Two hours a day every day."
Ripraw remarks, "That explains your muscular physique peeking out of appropriate parts of your clothes."
Kaylee says, "Hey!"
Some of the Autobots laugh at that.
Optimus then gestures to a blue and bright translucent pink Autobot who looks like he can turn into an assault helicopter, "This is Rotorstorm, one of the Wreckers who is a flier that turns into a helicopter."
Rotorstorm shakes hand to digit with Kaylee.
Then Optimus gestures to a white, black, orange, and blue Autobot who transforms into a rocket plane and says, "This is Topspin, one of the Wrecker fliers and a staunch explorer."
Topspin then says, "Your solar system is very interesting."
Kaylee nods, having gotten used to such a thing.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a bright navy blue and orange Autobot who turns into a tank, "This is Twintwist, one of the Wreckers and one of the few Autobots to transform into a military vehicle."
Optimus then gestures to an orange and blue Autobot who turns into a helicopter, "This is Whirl, another Wrecker and another flier who turns into a helicopter."
Whirl waves at Kaylee, and she waves back.
Then Optimus gestures to a black and silver Autobot who looks like he turns into a police car without visible sirens, "This is Doubletake, a former police enforcer."
Doubletake salutes Kaylee, and she salutes him back.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a yellow and bluish-green Autobot who looks like he can turn into a jet-shaped UFO, "This is Scrounge, one of our specialists in getting any spare parts for our troops if they ever have damaged parts during and after a fight."
Scrounge waves.
Then Optimus says as he gestures to a female Autobot in pink and white with an odd crowned helmet, "This is my sparkmate and other lieutenant, Elita One."
Kaylee asks, "Sparkmate?"
Elita One answers, "In human terms, I'm Optimus Prime's wife."
Kaylee replies, "Ohhh."
Optimus moves on as he gestures to a green and silver Autobot and says, "This is Anomaly, one of our scientists and soldiers who can remove viruses from enemy weapons and who can also infect any Decepticon in his path to the point where they are required to go into quarantine."
Anomaly nods in added emphasis.
Then Optimus gestures to a sky blue and yellow Autobot, "This is Catapult, one of the few Autobots who can turn any outward damage from enemy weapons into repairs for her other damages."
Catapult smiles at Kaylee's shocked expression.
Then Optimus gestures to a red and light blue Autobot powerhouse and says, "This is Front-Line, an Autobot close combat specialist and former Cybertronian vigilante."
Front-Line nods in added emphasis.
Then Optimus gestures to a red and silver Autobot and says, "This is Sideswipe, former racing circuit competitor turned soldier and eventual head constructor of our flagship, the Ark."
Sideswipe salutes Kaylee.
Then Optimus gestures to a red and blue Autobot with a microscope on his left shoulder, "This is Perceptor, one of our prized scientists on all trades."
Perceptor uses the lens of his microscope as a magnifying glass and he asks, "So, this is a human? Fascinating. A human's anatomy is similar to a Cybertronian anatomy despite being organic and despite not being able to transform into anything else."
Optimus then gestures to a red and orange Autobot with a sword on her back, "This is Firestar, one of our few Autobots equally dedicated to her missions and equally proactive in her desire to carry out her missions."
Firestar waves at Kaylee.
Optimus then gestures to a green, red, orange, blue, and yellow Autobot who looks like him as a knight and says, "This is Smokeedge, our Lieutenant Commander."
Smokeedge salutes Kaylee and she salutes him back.
Optimus then gestures to a red, green, yellow, and purple Autobot who looks like a mixture of himself, Smokeedge, and Motormaster if he transformed into a Toyota GR Supra sports car on Cybertron and says, "This is Jumpbee, our Captain Commander."
Jumpbee says, "Nice to meet you."
Optimus then says as he gestures to an Autobot who looks like he could turn into a heavily armored and heavily armed military transport truck, "This is Overshard, one of our specialists in the fields of magical and scientific resuscitation."
Overshard takes a bow.
Optimus then gestures to a red, orange, yellow, blue, and green Autobot soldier who looks like he can turn into a jet and a mobile missile launcher, "This is Overhide, one of our most armed soldiers who turns into an assault helicopter."
Overhide takes a bow as well.
Optimus then gestures to an Autobot who looks like four different versions of Airazor able to transform into a bird, a seaplane, a twin-cockpit jet, and a normal VTOL jet, "This is Mosssound, one of our aerial and seaside reconnaissance experts."
Mosssound spreads her bird wings and Kaylee is amazed at her wings.
Optimus then gestures to a light green, Harvard crimson red, and dark cream white Autobot flier and says, "This is Smoketron, one of our soldiers who knows a thing or two about using underhanded tactics when it really matters and when considering the consequences involved in doing so."
Smoketron looks at Kaylee and asks, "How many of you humans live on this planet?"
Kaylee answers, "An estimated seven point nine billion, especially because of successful agricultural practices combined with human evolution and overpopulation."
Smoketron grimaces before nodding in understanding.
Optimus then gestures to a half colonial white, birthday king cyan, and medium aquamarine blue Autobot who looks like he can transform into a rhino-themed snowmobile, "This is Bulkshard, one of the Autobots we can rely upon for missions in cold environments."
Bulkshard shakes hand and digit with Kaylee.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a shadow orange, medium light brown, and regular light brown Autobot Flier who also turns into a helicopter, "This is Shockglitch, one of our Fliers who is equal to Shockwave, one of the smartest scientists on Cybertron."
Shockglitch looks over Kaylee and then says, "By my calculations, Kaylee has exactly three hours and fifty-five minutes of Earth time left before she is required by her fuel tank to refuel."
Kaylee blushes at the wording used to describe the fact that she has three hours and fifty-five minutes before she has to eat.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a medium dark blue, light yellow, and medium light yellow Autobot who happens to be a Grounder, "This is Cliffscreen, one of our soldiers who has the ability to fight even when temporarily blind and even with his optics closed.
Cliffscreen salutes Kaylee, and she salutes him in response.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a raisin black, medium dark magenta-pink, and Air Force blue Autobot who also looks like he can transform into a jet esque bird, "This is Bulksnap, one of our specialized reconnaissance fliers who can be relied upon for the most dangerous of reconnaissance missions."
Bulksnap spreads his wings, and Kaylee shakes her head fondly, knowing that birds like to spread their wings to display their physical prowess.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a medium blue, light copper, and brown Autobot who looks like she can transform into a T-Rex, "This is Glassstorm, one of our powerhouses who can be classified as a Dinobot."
Kaylee asks, "A Dinobot, as in an Autobot that transforms into a dinosaur?"
Glassstorm answers, "Exactly."
Optimus then moves on and says as he gestures to a scarlet sage red, beige, and lapis lazuli blue Autobot who looks like she can transform into a heavily armed fighter jet, "This is Blueshock, one of our heavily armed and fastest fliers."
Blueshock waves at Kaylee and she waves back.
Optimus then says as he gestures to a white, blue, and yellow female Autobot with a weapon looking like a mix between a double-bladed sword and a crossbow gun, "This is Aureola Speedster. She's a quirky Autobot scout who believes in the beauty of war, peacetime, friendship, family bonding, and life."
Aureola Speedster looks at Kaylee and asks, "Are you one of the only humans with your physical appearance, clothes aside?"
Kaylee blushes at that as she answers, "W-well, yes."
Aureola Speedster nods in understanding.
Optimus then gestures to a blue and bluish-grey Autobot who looks like he can turn into a military truck outfitted with turrets and rocket launchers, "This is Benign Soul. He is one of the few Autobot powerhouses to come from a mundane background of once being a prison guard."
Benign Soul waves at Kaylee, and she waves back.

Kaylee was shocked that the ninety-eight thousand, two hundred and ninety-one Autobots were all that's left of their forces.
Kaylee replies before inquiring, "Well, all things considered, it's nice to meet all of you. So, what would you and your friends like to know about Earth?"
Ratchet grumbles, "Whatever it is that is important will do."
Kaylee then proceeds to explain for the next two hours and fifty-five minutes all there is to know about Earth, particularly its elements, its weather patterns and cycles, the age of Earth, the various animals and insects of Earth, extinct, endangered, et cetera, the food chain of the world, the humans, human biology and physiology, the human relationships with domesticated and predatory animals, the human biblical scriptures detailing humanity's distant past mingled with the age of the dinosaurs, humanity's relationship with God in ancient days, the percentage of humans who refuse to believe that God exists regardless of whether or not His existence can be proven, the superpowers God has, the history of the original Hebrew Bible and its closest English translation, the New American Standard Bible, the history of humanity committing sins and engaging in evil practices often including witchcraft, tyranny, mass murder, cannibalism, infanticide, filicide, divination, worshipping He Who Must Not Be Named, and warfare, the history of humanity advancing towards the modern age, and everything else that even Ratchet was able to keep up with and to log into his memory core.
And after explaining her own past, Optimus then says, "Kaylee, while I sympathize with your desire to serve your country, I partially agree with your godfather wishing to fulfill his promise to your parents. Serving your country or your planet even in times of peace come with its own forms of consequences to suffer and sacrifices to make."
Kaylee's expression signified that even though she didn't like it, she knew Optimus Prime was right. But that didn't mean she was automatically going to listen to him about giving Agent Fowler and her job a chance. Never again.
Bulkhead then says, "I have to admit, Kaylee's got guts. I thought she'd panic at us."
Kaylee replies, "Well, it's not every day a human being encounters an organic or mechanical alien. And even with that, because of how humanity works today, let's just say my people aren't yet ready to meet aliens from any part of any intergalactic community."
Optimus then says, "Then we shall have to hide from the rest of the human world."
Kaylee then asks, "So, how do you propose we hide you guys from the rest of the world?"
Anomaly answers, "Logically speaking, if what you say about ten to twenty percent of humanity is as horrendous and evil is true, we will require proper asylum."
Kaylee then says, "I'll clear things up with Agent Fowler, his superiors, and President Caldwell, our current 42nd President of the United States."
Ratchet then asks, "Optimus, I don't wish to ask, but do we really need an army of guides?"
Optimus answers before asking Kaylee, "Yes, because we are strangers to this planet's day and age of the twentieth century, and because of this, we have yet to get used to our surroundings. I believe it is in our best interests to take Kaylee at her word. Kaylee, which sector of the '"United States"' are we currently in?"
Kaylee answers, "The state of Nevada, in the town of Jasper, a technologically and economically backwards town which is said to be the entertainment capital of the world, and that's actually a bunch of lies to entice people into moving here."
Optimus cringed in composed disgust, signifying that he hates lies.
Kaylee then continues, "Anyway, we're a few miles outside of Jasper, and we're actually near a United States Army military base."
Hot Rod asks, "Military? They won't cause us any trouble, will they?"
Kaylee answers, "Logically speaking, outside of our modern fictional entertainment industry, not every human being outside of soldiers and police officers will react positively to aliens on Earth, especially including any hostile species or any alien species' hostile war factions. And besides that, the military base I work at is an archival military base, one that my former godfather had me hired at."
Ratchet goes to say something, but Smokeedge snarls, "Say one more negative comment about humans allying with us, and I'll force you into stasis lock for the next three hundred stellar cycles!"
Ratchet closed his mouthplate in fear.
Optimus then says, "Then perhaps you can assist us in guaranteeing this United States military that we mean them no harm and that we wish to ally with them."
Kaylee then says, "I'll try my hardest, but my former godfather is not gonna fully accept this development; he's old-fashioned in the sense that his patriotism dictates that the United States military doesn't need help with alien invasions or demon uprisings, no matter how many times people prove to him that he's wrong."
Kaylee then leads the way to her car, and she says, "Now, based on what I can gather from your bodies, you apparently can transform into vehicles, machinery, cities, weaponry, and animals, so, I find it best that all of you scan various 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s vehicle models to disguise yourselves from any potentially hostile humans and to properly help you blend in so as to avoid causing mass worldwide panic in the Earth's entire human population."
Cranefly then asks, "So, would you mind if I scanned your car for my new vehicle mode?"
Kaylee replies, "Go ahead."
Cranefly's optics turned bluish-green as a pair of unified scanning beams shot out and scanned the car, which is a Kia Rio sports car, and then she tests out transforming into an exact replica minus the paint job on Kaylee's car.
Kaylee remarks, "Wow! That was incredible!"
Optimus replies, "Your people would be amazed at the wonders of Cybertronian technology."
Kaylee then says, "Okay, now, if any of you hear the whirring of helicopter rotors, make sure you look for dark gull gray, light maritime gray, dark green, or black paint jobs on the helicopters as well as the Phrygian cap supported on the point of an unsheathed sword in a circle with the words, '"United States of America War Office"' along with a rattlesnake holding a scroll with the words, '"This We'll Defend."' And look for the same symbol on any of the olive drab green U.S. Army trucks."
Kaylee then takes out her phone and calls Agent Fowler.
Agent Fowler then demands, "Young lady, are you out of your star-spangled mind?!"
As the sounds of military helicopters attracted everyone's attention, the Autobots looked to see the colors and symbols for the Army helicopters that Kaylee described.
Kaylee then says, "Will, listen to me! They're not hostile!"
Agent Fowler replies, "I'll believe that when I see it for myself!"
Kaylee then says, "Will, with all due respect, if they wanted to kill me, they would've done it minutes ago, but they chose not to! Please allow us all to explain from the beginning!"
The Army military trucks pulled up, and Agent Fowler exited one of them, hanging up his phone.
Agent Fowler then says, "Young lady, there had better be a damn excellent explanation!"
Kaylee replies as Optimus motions for calmness among his troops, "Yes, there is. I was on my way home when I saw what I originally believed was a meteorite, so I went to investigate, as I wanted to report every detail as I go along before the generals jumped the gun. But as it turned out, it wasn't a meteor at all; it was actually a spaceship, and these guys were driving it. They proved to be friendly, Will, and I would bet my government salary that they'd be all too happy to have their leader go through a lie detector test with General Bryce."
Optimus then says, "What she says is true, sir."
Agent Fowler asks in shock, "It can talk?"
Kaylee answers, "Yes, they picked it up from interacting with me and from rapidly accessing the internet."
Optimus kneels to Agent Fowler's eye level and says, "I am Optimus Prime, and we are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron, or Autobots for simplified words. We mean your planet and your people no harm. Our ship was damaged and we crashed here. We have no hostile intentions for any of you or for any other members of your kind, or even for any of the plant and animal life of Earth."
Agent Fowler sighs as he pinches his forehead and says, "Kaylee, I don't think the Pentagon is going to like this."
Kaylee replies, "I know, but what choice do we have? If you think about it, outside of our modern entertainment industries, we humans in real life have never prepared for inevitably meeting aliens coming to Earth, and because there's all sorts of evil people in even our governments, there's no guarantees that either side of the first encounter wouldn't start an intergalactic to worldwide war with the entire human race."
Perceptor adds, "Your surrogate relative speaks the truth, Agent Fowler. By my calculations of how many humans are criminals, corrupt police officers, warlords, terrorists, tyrants, communists, and so forth that Kaylee has notified us about a few hours ago, if the rest of the world found out about us, there'd be mass panic, unrest, and mistrust worldwide, and if any members of our kind attacked any cities of historical, cultural, or religious importance, there'd be a lot of bureaucratic sinkholes for our people to go through."
Kaylee then says, "I hate to say it, Uncle Will, but he's right. We have to approach this new development with utmost care, and besides, it's literally the first time humanity comes in contact with aliens."
Agent Fowler sighs as he replies, "You're right, sweetheart."
Agent Fowler goes on to order the troops to stand down and to regroup at the Pentagon for a mass debriefing.
Kaylee then says, "Um... Welcome to Earth, Autobots."
In no time, the Autobots got acquainted nicely with the United States military and government, they were granted an old Cold War missile silo to use as their primary base with other kinds of bases being used because of their massive numbers, they were all given civilian and military vehicle modes to scan, they got acclimated to their new surroundings on Earth, they got the Energon they needed to survive on for a few months, they got acquainted well with the humans that only Quadwal cluster humans – current and former, like Smokeedge, Jumpbee, and a few of their troops from across the cosmos – and Vector Prime knew were members of NEST, along with Agent Fowler and Kaylee, they established rules to follow, Optimus Prime sent out a signal for any Autobots in vicinity of the solar system to come to Earth, Ratchet was among the few to take longer than usual to get along with Kaylee and Agent Fowler, Kaylee offered insight on how to upgrade the base even outside of reverse-engineering Cybertronian and human technology, and so far, until Arcee, Cliffjumper, and their friends could get to Earth, things were fine for the most part.
The End.
(Author's notes: See you all in chapter 2: Meet Orange Beetle.)
