it's a nice sunny day in shells town.

the sun is shining. The seagulls are flying high in the sky. "Ax hand" Morgan is behind bars. Helmeppo is forced into the marines.

everything is going peacefully.

[town pub]

ahhh~. Man, not eating anything for three weeks, I thought I'd be eating my boots said Zoro.

I can't believe you're already full, lightweight said Luffy still eating.

how in the hell can you eat more than me? Asked Zoro.

I always had a big appetite. But ever since I ate the gum gum fruit, my appetite grew bigger said Luffy still eating.

as Luffy keeps on eating. Zoro asks how big the crew was so far.

to Zoro's shock, it was just him and Luffy.

Zoro then asks if they at least have a ship...

only to find out they have a boat instead.

as they talk, Coby was thinking to himself.

(I wonder what to do now?. After seeing the type of person Morgan was. My dreams of being a great marine were gone. I guess I could ask to join Luffy's crew. I may have lost my dreams. But I want to at least help Luffy follow his thought Coby).

just like that Coby walked up to a eating Luffy.

hey, Luffy, you got a minute? Asked Coby.

what's up? Asked Luffy still eating.

after my dreams of being a marine were broken. I thought to myself. I was wondering, if you'd like me, to help you follow your dreams. I know I'm not strong, but I want to help you anyway I can. So how about it?, can I join your crew? Asked Coby.

hmm. What type of role do you want on my crew? Asked Luffy.

let me think, I know a few things about navigating. I guess I could be your navigator if you want said Coby.

sure thing. Welcome aboard Coby said Luffy smiling.

thanks captain Luffy sir. I hope I'll make you proud of me said Coby.

Sisisi. Looks like I got myself a navigator after all laughed Luffy happily.

good to hear. So besides navigating, what about fighting?, you a good fighter to kid? Asked Zoro.

well you can't navigate your way in a fight. How about this. I train you to fight with a sword or two? Asked Zoro.

I don't know. What do you think captain? Asked Coby.

I don't mind said Luffy.

then I guess I'm in your care, thinks vice captain Zoro said Coby.

whatever, need something to do while we're out at sea said Zoro.

just like that the marines showed up.

hello, I'm marine Lieutenant Ripper. I have word you are pirates. Is this true? Asked Ripper.

yeah, it's just me, Zoro, and now Coby said Luffy.

I see. As thanks for saving the town from Morgan, we'll not report you to HQ. However, your still pirates. So I must ask you to please leave at once said Ripper.

ok, let's go guys said Luffy getting up.

Zoro followed behind Luffy.

Coby on the other hand stopped and saluted to Ripper. Ripper saluted back.

Coby then ran off to the crew.

[at the port]

as the crew set sail away from shells town. Zoro was thinking to himself.

so where to now? Asked Zoro out loud.

the grand line said Luffy smiling.

sorry to say this captain. But we can't right now said Coby.

why not? Asked Luffy.

we need a ship. supplies. And more crew members. Until we get those three things. We can't head to the grand line said Coby.

ah man. But I want to go to the grand line now said Luffy sad.

we better get sailing, then we should take breaks so i teach the kid a few tricks in how to use a sword said Zoro.

good idea said Luffy happy again.

just like that they set sailed to the great unknown.

I'm going to be king of the pirates! Said Luffy out loud.

just like that they began their journey to pirate hood.
