He sat upon the hill on the picnic, drinking in the view, and sipping the glass of champagne. Sonic felt content, even though he wasn't running fast. Scooby sat by the picnic basket, often munching on food that the hedgehog brought out. Sonic held up one of his chili-dogs and turned, offering it to the auburn-haired girl by his side.
Daphne Blake giggled. "Sonic, haven't you offered me enough chili-dogs?" The mystery-solving chick asked.
Sonic smiled, "You can never get enough of them, Daph. And its better than letting Scooby hog this one. After all, you're very pretty."
Both he and Daphne remembered the day they fell for each other, the day they started hanging out more, the day they shared their first kiss. This was their first date, Sonic had invited Daphne to Grassy Green Hilltop, and she'd brought the food. Scooby had joined her, eager to see Sonic, after forming a heartwarming friendship with the blue blur.
"Okay, Sonic." Daphne pecked the speedster on the cheek, "I'll eat one more chili-dog."
Sonic gave his girlfriend the chili-dog and watched her eat it up. The blue hedgehog picked up a napkin and helped to wipe some chili sauce off his human flame's face when she was finished. Scooby moved over from the basket, and licked Sonic on the face.
"Ha-ha, c'mon, Scooby. You just ate!" Sonic protested.
Daphne giggled and ruffled Scooby's head, then she stroked Sonic's face and kissed him deeply. Sonic folded his hand around her neck and leaned in to return the kiss. He and Daphne embraced upon the hill in the steamiest of kisses, and Scooby turned away to give them room while covering his eyes. Who could possibly want to interrupt love?
The blue-orange van drove past the tree, riding along the dusty road. Daphne sat at the front, driving the van, with Scooby sitting by her side. A blue wind streaked by, taking the form of Sonic as he ran at light-speed beside Daphne's ride. Scooby poked his head out the window, sticking his tongue out with a smile.
Sonic flashed the brown dog a thumbs up, and Daphne smiled dreamily at the hedgehog before focusing on the road ahead. They weren't that far now. Sonic and Daphne passed the sign that read "Mist-e Moonshine Resort, beyond the next turn."
After solving another mystery, the hedgehog and the mystery sleuth were ready to wind down with a romantic date to a refreshing tropical resort, and they were looking forward to a stress-free time.
They turned another road corner and a few palm trees appeared. And, just up ahead, was the Mist-e Moonshine Resort with a sign that showed a palm tree, rolling waves, and a full moon with a bikini-clad woman smiling sweetly as she raised her sunglasses. However, the closer they got, Sonic and Daphne noticed nobody else seemed to be here.
Meanwhile, the trees seemed to have taken a gray-ish color instead of the usual green found in the trees. It was probably just an aesthetic choice.
Daphne drove a little further towards the resort, then she parked the van when she and Sonic were feet away from the entrance. Sonic opened the door, taking his girlfriend's hand as she stepped out with Scooby. Daphne went around to the back, opened the van, and brought out the suitcase with their stuff inside.
"Hope we don't deal with ghost mysteries." Scooby ruffed.
"We'll be fine, Scoob." Sonic pat the dog on the head, "C'mon, what would some weirdo in a mask be causing trouble at a tropical resort for? This is meant to be a place for relaxation."
Daphne planted a little kiss on Sonic's nose. "We'll find a room for ourselves..." She told the hedgehog, "...and we'll be having a lot of fun."
"You know it." Sonic quipped.
He and Daphne walked through the entrance to the resort with Scooby following them. The trio tapped the front door and entered the main building, finding the main lobby inside where a lone receptionist waited at the front desk. She was a sweet Asian-looking woman with trimmed brown hair, wearing a simple white uniform.
"Welcome, new customers." The receptionist said happily.
"Why is nobody else here?" Sonic inquired.
"There's me and my assistant Tranq, as well as a few others. Long story, but we're kinda dealing with ghosts right now. Someone pulled a supernatural prank recently and a pool ghoul showed up, not many customers show up, but you're the first since the spooking started."
"My boyfriend and I came here for relaxation." Daphne said with an optimistic smile.
"I like your dog." Said the receptionist, whose name was Kumone.
"Thanks. This is Scooby-Doo." Sonic quipped.
"Hi." Scooby waved a paw.
"Now, hold on. Are you THE Scooby-Doo of Mystery Inc?" Kumone's face brightened up, "And you must be Daphne Blake. Oh, this is such an honor to have you two here, and I recognize Sonic the Hedgehog. I recognize your faces anywhere, especially on the news."
Kumone gave Sonic and Daphne the resort keys, then she allowed them access to the resort. Sonic held hands with Daphne and they decided to help themselves to a swim in the pool and worry about the hauntings later.
Sonic slipped on a tan-red swimsuit in a changing booth, then he stepped out into the main pool area. The hedgehog found another gray palm tree by the water, and started to notice that the place was a little misty. It was probably just special effects, hopefully, it wasn't part of some ghost prank.
Looking at the place, it was so relaxing and inviting, Sonic decided there was no need to worry about pool ghouls or ghosts. He looked down, and shuffled his bare feet against the smooth ground, then the hedgehog walked to the edge and dipped his foot in the water.
A warm smile rolled across his face as he felt the water rub against his toes. Sonic ran his hand through his quills, breathing in the warm resort air. Scooby soon joined him and jumped on his shoulder to lick the hedgehog's face. Sonic saw the slight nervousness in the dog's face and reached up to rub his ears, making Scooby close his eyes with a smile.
"Okay, babe. I'm finished." He heard Daphne's voice.
The hedgehog turned in the direction of his girlfriend's sweet voice and his heart did a jumping jack. Sonic was overcome by the temptation to drool, which he fought hard, as he drank the bodacious scene of Daphne Blake wearing a purple thong bikini that accentuated every curve of her attractive body.
Daphne winked and raised her leg while placing a hand behind her head in a sultry pose. Sonic pinched his nose to deter the likeliness of a nosebleed event. Daphne was so gorgeous, he couldn't resist seeing her like this.
"What's the matter, Sonic? Do you like this or is it too much?" He heard her ask.
"You're very bodacious-looking." Sonic replied, "How is that too much? I could photograph you right now."
Daphne giggled and approached her speedy blue boyfriend while Scooby rubbed against her leg happily. The slender human mystery sleuth and the brave speedy hedgehog locked eyes, holding hands in a sweet manner, and then they hit the pool.
Sonic swan-dived off the edge and Daphne did a cannonball. They laughed as they splashed one another playfully with Sonic splashing his girlfriend first before she splashed him. They laughed, then they leaned back and swam in separate directions from one another in a series of backstrokes, rotating their arms and kicking their legs.
Scooby dove in to join his friends, doggy-paddling around in the water like the dog he was. The cowardly, but kind Great Dane swam towards Sonic and pounced on him playfully, licking the hedgehog's face before the blue blur hugged him, making Daphne laugh as she watched the interaction between Sonic and Scooby.
"Is it Scooby you like or is it me you like, Sonic?" Daphne called to the hedgehog.
Upon hearing her, the blue hedgehog laughed. "Scoob and I are just friends, you and me, Daph, are way more than that." Sonic told her.
Daphne took a deep breath and dove underwater, swimming towards Sonic with her arms out in front of her as she kicked her legs. The mystery solver surfaced in front of the speedster and kissed him on the head as Scooby backed away, watching the romantic scene with a smile.
Sonic held his girlfriend's hand and locked eyes with her, then they dove underwater and swam a few laps around the pool together like synchronized swimmers. They broke the surface after a few minutes of being underwater, then Sonic lay back and did a series of backstrokes, Daphne leaned forward and followed in a front stroke.
Scooby then tackled Sonic, leading to the hedgehog wrestling with the dog playfully. He ruffled Scooby's head and the canine barked with a happy smile. Sonic hugged him, Scooby hugged back. Daphne swam in and joined them, forming a group hug.
"Hey, Sonic." Daphne said.
"Yeah, Daph?" Sonic asked.
Daphne kissed the hedgehog, then she swam to the pool's edge and climbed out of the water. She looked at Sonic and nodded her head. Daphne stood and walked towards the nearby diving board. She climbed the stairs, and Sonic's eyes followed, watching his girlfriend ascend to the top.
'Is she about to do what I think she's gonna do?' Sonic thought.
The bikini-clad mystery chick stepped onto the edge of the platform with her arms spread wide. Daphne smiled, then she jumped up and down on the platform for a few moments before leaping off the edge, doing a somersault as she tucked her legs in before hitting the pool below.
"Ten out of ten, babe." Sonic gave his acrobatic girlfriend a thumbs up.
Daphne curtsied as she surfaced, then she threw her arms around the hedgehog and kissed him deeply on the lips. Sonic's heart pounded, he was so lucky to have a gorgeous girl like her.
Just then, a shrieking noise sounded through the area, startling Scooby and the couple. Another shrieking noise perked their ears, then a strange mist swept over the pool. Sonic hugged Daphne, who was shaking nervously, and pat a terrified Scooby on the head. Another spooky noise startled them, then something whooshed over their heads.
Daphne let go of Sonic and swam to the edge, then she climbed out of the pool and put a hand on her hips, looking around for the disturbance. Sonic climbed out, looking around cautiously as he clenched his fist defensively.
Scooby exited the pool too and whimpered as he knelt down behind his friends' legs, shaking and quivering just as another haunting laugh echoed through the resort. Mist began to descend around the trio and Daphne hugged Sonic, her eyes wide, and Sonic held her protectively as ghostly figures slowly appeared around them.
Eerie laughter carried over, more shadows appeared, and another shriek followed. Daphne, Scooby and Sonic anxiously looked about, wondering where the source of all that laughing and shrieking was. And then, a light blue-green creature appeared near the pool, snarling menacingly at them, as a few other ghosts popped up.
"POOL GHOUL!" Sonic and Daphne cried.
The sinister Pool Ghoul shrieked and lunged for them, Scooby ducked, and the couple dove out of the way. The monster flew over, and the Pool Ghoul's ghost minions dove towards Sonic and Daphne in an ominous manner. Sonic threw himself onto Daphne protectively, determined to keep her safe, and the Pool Ghoul howled again.
Scooby hid behind a tree, but ran off as a ghost popped up near his hiding spot. Sonic hugged Daphne, comforting her as she screamed again at the sight of one of the Pool Ghoul's ghostly allies. They were going to brave this, it was time to solve a mystery.
Feeling comfort from her boyfriend's presence, Daphne tenderly kissed Sonic, then she and the hedgehog looked up at the Pool Ghoul as he came towards them again. Daphne stepped forward, raised her arms in a battle pose, and leaped to intercept the Ghoul. The bikini-clad sleuth tackled him, and they fell into the pool with a splash.
As Sonic watched while ghosts swooped down around him, Daphne and the Pool Ghoul surfaced, locked in an aquatic wrestling match as the sleuth punched the Ghoul as it tried to strangle her.
More howling and laughter sounded in the area, Sonic ducked to avoid a ghost and got a chill in his back when one ghost surrounded him. He looked around, thinking of a way to get rid of the ghosts. Just then, he spotted a pair of cameras on the wall near the entrance to the resort building and they seemed to be letting off a very odd light.
And then, Sonic spotted a strange metal box next to one of the heaters. He ducked to evade a ghost, then he looked at the cowering Scooby before looking at the cameras again. The blue speedster looked at the ghosts, then he looked at the cameras, and then he quickly pieced it together; Holograms, the ghosts were holograms projected by projectors.
The hedgehog launched into a spin-dash and struck every last projector camera, reducing them to pieces, and the ghosts all faded away. Sonic then looked at the box, spotting a pair of spinning tapes, and realized he was looking at a recorder. Just as another ghostly laugh went off, Sonic smashed the device and the laughing stopped.
Now, there was only the Pool Ghoul to deal with. Sonic headed back to the pool and saw that Daphne had the upper-hand, having subdued the Ghoul in a chokehold as the creature struggled and shrieked.
"YEAH, DAPHNE!" Sonic whooped.
Daphne tightened her grip, then she threw the Pool Ghoul out of the water, and the wet ghost toppled to the ground near a palm tree. Daphne climbed out of the pool and stared down at the entity in a fierce manner with hands on her womanly hips.
"That'll teach you to interrupt our tropical date, you stupid weirdo in a costume." Daphne told the Pool Ghoul.
Sonic grinned and gave his bikini-girlfriend a slap on her butt cheeks. "Way to go, babe." He said, "You showed that jerk who's the boss of the pool and what happens when creeps like him mess with us. Now let's unmask this Pool Ghoul."
Just before the Ghoul could get back up, Sonic stepped forward, grabbed the creeper, and pulled off the mask to reveal... someone wearing glasses over gray eyes with a slight brown spot upon his cheek.
"Who the heck are you?!" Sonic exclaimed.
"My name's Joko, one of the guys who works here." Joko replied, "And nice work figuring out that the ghosts weren't real as well as where the laughter came from. I wasn't really gonna hurt you, your girlfriend, or your dog. It was all just a prank, I guess I got too carried away with it, leading to less customers while the staff got scared."
Sonic and Daphne looked at each other, then the hedgehog flashed Joko an unamused look and bonked him on the head. Joko groaned, then he chuckled, "I guess I deserve that even though nobody got hurt, you two can rest, knowing that I won't do that again."
'Whew, thank goodness.' Sonic thought, he shook Joko's hand forgivingly. Scooby then jumped in and licked Joko's face, taking him by surprise.
Moments later, the hedgehog and Daphne were in the shower stall, helping one another to a hot shower after dealing with the Pool Ghoul crisis. Daphne had removed her hairband, but kept her bikini on, and she looked gorgeous. Sonic helped the auburn-haired sleuth wash her back and gently scrubbed her shoulders in a slow and gentle manner.
Daphne turned around, looping her arms around Sonic's neck and locking eyes with him. Sonic placed a hand on her hip, holding her closer, and they shared a deep kiss. Daphne kissed Sonic hard and the hedgehog pressed her against the wall, his hand moved down to her thigh and Daphne lifted up her leg around his waist.
The couple kissed harder as the water rinsed and massaged their swimsuit-clad bodies, steam swirled around them from the hot water, and Sonic exchanged tongues with Daphne while she stroked his cheek. Nothing could disrupt this moment...
A creepy babbling sound from close by made them pull back and they turned to see someone with a monster mask sticking their tongue out. Daphne screamed and Sonic stepped forward to protect her, he put his arm out in front of his human flame and the mystery sleuth stood behind Sonic with her eye still on the creep.
Just then, the weirdo laughed and pulled off the mask, revealing the face of Scooby-Doo. Scooby was pranking them. Sonic rolled his eyes and started to laugh as Daphne leaned against her blue boyfriend, smiling and laughing too.
"C'mon, Scoob. Not while we're showering!" Sonic protested.
Scooby giggled and ran up to lick the blue hedgehog's face, joining him and the Mystery Inc sleuth in the shower. Scooby wagged his tail, licked Sonic's face once more, then he howled, "Scooby-Dooby-Doooooo! Ee-he-he-he-he!"

Daphne climbed out of the pool and stretched her arms. That second swim felt refreshing, especially after her and Sonic's first swim had been interrupted by the Pool Ghoul. The bikini-clad sleuth picked up the towel and dried herself off, then she walked over to the lawn chairs as Sonic sipped his refreshing kaluki glass on his bench.
Sonic put his drink aside as his girlfriend sat down. Scooby was relaxing on the ground, just minding his own business. Sonic looked over at his bikini-clad flame as she lay back, and he smiled happily.
"What a trip so far, huh?" He asked.
"Now that we took care of the Pool Ghoul, there's nothing that can give us more trouble." Daphne nodded, "Our stay at the Mist-e Moonshine Resort is going to be the best date that we could ever have."
Sonic held his glass with a courteous smile. Daphne looked over at him, then she picked up a spare glass and shared a toast with Sonic before they sipped their drinks.
"So, you want to get a massage at the parlor?" Sonic asked, "I could use some loosening up."
"Honestly..." Daphne smiled dreamily, "After that fight with the Pool Ghoul, I could use one. In fact, I think they have tables ready for us."
Sonic stood up and scooped Daphne into his arms. Daphne let off a light shriek as the hedgehog picked her up, then she planted a sweet kiss unto his cheek and looped her arms around the speedster's neck as Sonic carried her away from the pool.
A few minutes later, Sonic was laying on a soft table with a blanket partially covering him as a female resort staff member massaged his back below his quills. The hedgehog glanced over at the other table, seeing Daphne, still clad in her bikini, laying down with her chin rested on her wrists as a tall man massaged her toned back.
"This spa is pretty rad." Sonic remarked.
"They even have a hot tub too..." Daphne sighed, "Ah, this hits the spot. I love the sensation of tender manly hands massaging a woman's back and shoulders after a stressful ordeal with a guy in a costume."
Sonic closed his eyes and relaxed a little more as the staff continued to massage his and Daphne's backs. Just then, Scooby Doo popped up with a mask on his face and let off a "boo" sound that briefly startled Sonic and his girlfriend until they realized it was just Scooby. The dog removed his mask and the hedgehog started to question Scooby-Doo's silly behavior...
