A/N: Hello my wonderful readers! Thank you for showing interest in this new story that I have been writing for quite some time now. I had a bit of writer's block during the pandemic years however, I am hopefully bouncing back now and thought I would kick things off with this brand-new story.

I have always been a fan of the vampire diaries, I was even a fan of the books before the TV series even came about. I am hoping that my description and speech of the characters reflects their similar personalities to how we already know and love them.

Firstly, I want to make it very clear that this story deals with lots of dark themes throughout the entire story.

Themes such as: eating disorders, self-harm, physical/sexual assault, poverty, mental health, drug and alcohol abuse, familial violence, gore, bad language, and general violence.

The setting of this story starts off in the UK but will quickly change to our lovely Mystic Falls in the USA. Speech will differ throughout the story depending on who is speaking and thinking. For example, the character of 'Jessica' was born and raised in the UK so will have speech using words such as: mum, realise, organise etc. and various British slang terminology. (I wanted to challenge myself with this one! )

Anyway, I will stop rambling on now and will let you start reading the story. I hope you find as much joy in reading this story as I have had writing it!
