2. Chapter 2

Here is the second chapter of my third fan fiction

15 days later at the police station

Frost and Frankie were working on their new desks. Frost had chosen Korsak 's office and Frankie had chosen Jane's office. Neither would have wanted to leave these two offices to someone else especially when they learned that one of the new members of their team was Detective Darren Crowe who was unpleasant to them. Frost and Frankie didn't like him and there was no way he was going to take Vince's or Jane's place. The other new member was Detective Riley Cooper who came from the drug unit and was promoted. Frost and Frankie were happy to see her again but Susie and Nina were not happy when they saw Cooper going around the men they loved but Frost and Frankie quickly warned Cooper that they were a couple and very happy to be together. 'be and Frankie added that he was engaged. Riley Cooper understood this and apologized, she was not aware because she had been undercover again and therefore forced to move away from everything that was police but then Frost, Frankie, Nina and Susie really appreciated Cooper who was a gifted detective, not as gifted as Jane but very gifted nonetheless. At one point Frost said to Frankie

"Hey Frankie, wouldn't you like to become a sergeant?"

Frankie laughed softly and said

"Me sergeant? Can you imagine me taking Korsak 's place ?

And why not ? You've really proven yourself and that would prove to that idiot Crowe and his friends that you're not just Jane's little brother.

I confirm it to you. The first time I went down alone, Maura smiled but when she noticed that Jane wasn't there, her eyes became sad for a few seconds and then during the first Sunday meal without Jane, we all saw that Maura was was holding back tears. She was still the same person but when she was alone or thought she was alone, you would hear her sniff softly and see her pass a tissue over her eyes.

Are they still talking to each other?

And TJ? How is he ?

TJ cried for two days after Jane left, he loves Jane and misses her and he knows that Maura misses Jane too so Tommy takes her to her house and the two comfort each other then he goes to his Nonna and sometimes it's Vince who takes care of it

Would you have preferred her to be with Maura?

Yes ! Honestly Yes ! But hey, they were just friends, very close friends but just friends

Same day at Division One

Frankie and Nina were having lunch, since Angela left it was rare for them to do them here but she and Frankie had work and couldn't go to lunch at the Dirty Robber . Frankie missed the time his mother worked there for several reasons including the fact that the food was better. Frankie tells Nina

"Frost asked me something earlier

Mid-afternoon, Lieutenant Cavanaugh 's office

Cavanaugh was filling out an administrative file when there was a knock on his office door and he said without looking up

The door opened and Frankie walked in and he saw his boss filling out a file and he said

"Excuse me sir but I have to tell you something important but I can come back later if you want"

Cavanaugh sighed, raised his head and said

"No, stay Detective Rizzoli. These administrative files are a pain to fill out, but hey, you have to do it. Please sit down, it will give me a break."

Frankie did what his boss told him to do and Cavanaugh asked

The saleswoman led them to a section where different models of dresses were displayed then she selected a few that she judged suited to Angela's profile and offered to try them on in a booth and said

"Here are some dresses you might like. There is lace, satin, tulle , pearls... What do you think?

Angela says

"They are all beautiful! I don't know which one to choose!

Try them all, if you want. Take your time. Your friends can give you their opinion.

All right. Thanks again ! »

Angela took the dresses and headed to the fitting room. She began by putting on a white strapless dress, with a flared skirt and embroidered pearls.

The first dress she tried on was an ivory satin mermaid gown, with bead embroidery on the bodice and skirt. It perfectly fit her curves and highlighted her figure then she went out to show herself and Maura exclaimed

"Wow, you look beautiful!" »

Nina says

The saleswoman says

The saleswoman did so and then came back with a bohemian chiffon dress, with long sleeves and a V-neckline. It was light and airy and made Angela look romantic.

Angela said turning around.

Angela looked in the mirror and said

"Thanks, but I don't know... I feel a little dull in it"

The saleswoman says

She returned with a white lace princess dress, with a sweetheart neckline and a long train. It was elegant and refined, and made Angela look magical. Angela came out of the dressing room and saw Maura and Nina's eyes widen and the two women shout in unison.

Angela got worried and said

" What ? ".

Maura says

« You are beautiful ! »

Nina says

" It's perfect for you. Vince will love it! »

Angela says

The saleswoman says

" She is perfect ! This dress suits you perfectly, Madam! Your future husband will be dazzled"

Angela immediately felt transported into a fairy tale. She saw herself walking towards the altar, where Vince was waiting for her, his eyes shining with love. She felt beautiful and confident. She knew that Vince loved her the way she was, but she wanted to honor him by wearing a dress that matched their love. Angela felt happy and moved. She had found the perfect dress for her big day. Angela said looking in the mirror

« It's her ! This is the dress I want! »

Maura and Nina applauded Angela and hugged her. They were happy for her. Angela thanked them from the bottom of her heart for their friendship. She knew she would never forget this magical moment. Angela had made another decision and said

"Maura, I want to tell you something."

Maura says

Maura was surprised and said moved

« Thank you for your trust and your friendship Angela… I am very flattered and I gladly accept. »

Then Maura asked Nina

"I hope it doesn't upset you."

Nina made a reassuring sign with her hand and smiled

"Maura, you and Angela have known each other for many years, you saved Jane and Frankie, you helped Tommy, you helped Angela with her divorce, you took her in and you did many other things for the Rizzoli family. Jane looked at Maura and both women started laughing. Maura took Jane's hand and the two women silently looked into each other's eyes for two minutes then Maura gently removed her hand and said

Maura smiles and they spend part of the afternoon catching up, sharing stories and laughs then Maura says what she had planned for Angela and Jane says she was looking forward to the day

Vince and Angela's wedding day at the Isles vacation home on Cape Cod

It was the big day for Vince and Angela. It's a sunny day and everyone was on Cape Cod at the luxury vacation home of Arthur and Constance Isles . It was Maura who had the idea for this place during Angela's bachelorette party and Constance had immediately agreed and told Maura that she would tell her father about it. but that wouldn't be a problem. The wedding takes place in a large hall with high ceilings and crystal chandeliers that add a touch of elegance. Large windows offer panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a spectacular backdrop for the celebration.

Vince Korsak , stood nervously at the altar. He was nervous despite his three other marriages. The day before, he had spent the evening and night at Frost's house to respect the tradition according to which the groom should not see the bride before the ceremony.

Beside him, his best man, Detective Barry Frost, gave him comforting pats on the shoulder. Vince Korsak, always dapper, wore a classic three-piece suit in navy blue. The well-tailored jacket highlighted his imposing build. The matching vest added a touch of formality and sophistication. His crisp white shirt was complemented by a dark blue silk tie, which added a pop of color to the ensemble. The tailored pants fell perfectly over her shiny black leather shoes. To complete his look, Vince carried a white clutch in his jacket pocket, adding a touch of elegance to his ensemble

In another room, Angela Rizzoli was radiant. She was with her children Jane, Frankie and Tommy and with her grandson TJ and with her best man, Doctor Maura Isles . Frankie had his sergeant outfit on, Tommy and TJ were in costumes and so was Jane. Angela had hoped that Jane would wear a dress but she knew her daughter well and suspected that she wouldn't wear one and then Angela was so happy to see her again that she didn't care about Jane's outfit. Angela had agreed to take a few photos of herself before the ceremony, a photo of her with her children and her grandson and Maura together and then photos of herself with each of them individually. Jane was happy to bring her mother to Korsak and was grateful to her brothers that they let her do it. Frankie and Tommy had arrived at Maura's house late in the morning, they told Jane that they had decided to let her have the honor of walking their mother to the altar.

Start of flashback in Maura's living room

The three Rizzoli children were waiting in the living room for Maura to finish getting their mother ready. Nina and Susie were in Maura's guest room looking after TJ who had absolutely wanted to sleep under the same roof as his Nonna and Tommy told Jane

"Janie, we have something to tell you, something Frankie and I decided on a few days ago and we talked to Ma about it and she agreed."

What have you decided?

Well there you go, we decided that it will be you who will bring Ma to Vince"

Jane moved said

" Me ? Really ?

But normally the logic was that it should have been Frankie."

Frankie says

"Tommy and I participated in the preparations for his wedding, you unfortunately couldn't do it and therefore you didn't have your share of joy for this event so Tommy and I discussed it one evening and we decided to leave you this honor"

Jane, very moved, hugged her brothers and said

"Thank you, thank you guys. You're going to make my makeup run and Maura is going to scold me."

Tommy smiles and says fake scared

"Oh God Janie! We don't want that to happen" and the Rizzoli brothers took their sister back in their arms

End of flashback

Angela says:

"Frankie, can you tell Frost, I'm ready"

Frankie walked away a little and sent a message to Frost and Jane movedly said taking both of her mother's hands

"You are beautiful Ma! I am so happy and so proud of you"

Angela, very moved, said:

"I'm even more stressed than when I married your father"

Maura says

"Think about what I told you Angela, breathe calmly, imagine the air circulating throughout your body, your torso, your legs, your arms, your hands. Feel your whole body breathing. Angela smiled and did as Maura advised her and walked out of the room holding Jane's arm and being preceded by Maura, Frankie, Tommy and TJ who had gone to their respective places. Everything was planned so that Angela wouldn't damage her train, Maura had personally seen to that. When Angela came into the room, Mendelssohn's Wedding March was heard and the people who were talking instantly fell silent and Vince saw Angela and looked at her with a look in which his love for Angela was clearly evident and he smiled and then he said to Frost

" She is beautiful !

Yes, she is beautiful and from the looks of her eyes, she is very in love with you"

Angela walked the red carpet which was lined with red and white flowers reminiscent of the colors of the Red Soxs and laughed softly and guessed that it was his sons who were the cause and stopped under the arch covered in white lilies where Vince was waiting then gave his bouquet of red roses to Maura and Jane entrusted her mother to Korsak who took both of Angela's hands, gave her a big smile and looked at her lovingly and said

"God Angela, you are so beautiful, you are perfect and this dress… My God this dress looks amazing on you. I love you so much "

Angela blushed, smiled and said as moved as ever

"Oh Vince, you're so…beautiful." Know that I love you with all my heart"

The person who was to marry them was Vince's old friend Richard O'Flanagan and Richard spoke up and said in a voice where happiness was clearly audible

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are all gathered here to celebrate the marriage of two people whom we all appreciate enormously, I have named Mr. Vince Korsak and Mrs. Angela Giacometti but first of all I am going to introduce myself to people who do not know me . The people present began to laugh and Richard continued:

Vince turned to Frost who handed him a paper and Vince thanked him and said with emotion after taking Angela's right hand with his

Richard O'Flanagan says

« If anyone has any objection to this marriage, now's your chance to speak up! »

After this sentence, everyone heard Jane say with her hoarse voice and in a firm and determined tone

Everyone started laughing and Richard O'Flanagan said

Vince and Angela then kissed to the applause and cries of joy from the guests.

The guests applauded them again and then Angela and Vince left for the reception room while the guests threw the traditional rice at them. The reception room is tastefully decorated in neutral tones, allowing the floral arrangements and lighting to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Round tables are arranged around the dance floor, each adorned with white tablecloths, silver candlesticks and bouquets of fresh flowers. Once everyone was settled, Maura stood up and said :

Hello everyone. I am Doctor Maura Isles and when Angela asked me to be her best woman I was surprised because I thought she would have chosen Jane or Nina but she did me the great honor of choosing me. I was surprised and also very happy. Angela is a woman that I respect enormously and she has taught me a lot and she has given me a lot. I know what I owe to my adoptive mother and I love her, just as I love my biological mother very much and I am delighted to spend time with them, to have a real mother daughter relationship with them but my relationship with Angela is special. All these years, since I have been friends with her children, she has treated me as if I were her second daughter and fourth child. When I had a problem, I could talk to her about it whatever the time, if I was sad she consoled me, if I was happy she was as happy as me. When something bad happened to Jane or Frankie and I stayed by their bedside, Angela was always there to make sure I was okay. Her children were hurt but she took the time to take care of me and when I asked her why, she told me that it was normal, that she considered me her daughter and that touched me a lot. Once, I was coming back from a medical conference in Philadelphia, I wanted to return as quickly as possible but there was no longer a direct flight to Boston but just a flight with connections and before leaving I informed Jane and when I arrived at home 3.5 hours later, I see Angela waiting for me and with a freshly prepared meal on the table. Yes, Angela had waited for me and made a meal just for me and this scenario happened several times. Angela, we have shared so many moments together, laughter, tears, joys, sorrows and today, I see you radiating happiness in her magnificent white dress, alongside Vince, the man who makes you happy . Angela is a very kind and so wonderful woman and that is why Angela I am very proud to have been your best man and I am very proud to consider you my third mother. Angela, I see your happiness, I see Vince's happiness, I see the happiness of your children and especially Frankie and Nina who will soon experience the same happiness as you and (Maura looked quickly at Jane then looked back at Angela and Vince ) I hope that one day I will experience the same happiness as you. I wish you all the happiness possible, you deserve it so much. Nietzsche once said that marriage is a long conversation and I wish you would always talk to each other. You are married to an incredible man who I have gotten to know over time and who is one of the people who didn't make fun of me when I arrived in Boston and who has always respected me and I can say that loved. The guests stood up and said, raising their glasses

The meal passed in joy and good humor. Everyone saw that in fact the happiest person in the room was TJ who was very happy to see his Nonna beaming with happiness and he adored Vince who he called Grandpa Vince ever since Vince and Angela revealed that they were together and in fact TJ was at Vince and Angela's table and had been very proud to wear the wedding rings. Then it was time to cut the wedding cake and everyone saw that Vince and Angela were still happy and after the bride and groom were photographed and the cake was eaten, the party began. It took place outside on a terrace overlooking the beach, providing space for guests to mingle and enjoy the ocean view. There was a DJ for the evening but it was Vince's group of musical friends who made the music for the first dance. Jane, Frankie and Tommy made their mother dance to the music like a young woman and were happy for her and said to themselves that she had really found the man of her life. Nina watched the couple dance and was really looking forward to being in Angela's place as the bride. As the evening progressed, hanging lanterns and twinkling lights were lit and created a magical ambiance under the starry sky. Then came the moment when Vince and Angela left for their honeymoon. Nina says

"Angela, you have to throw your bouquet, otherwise it brings bad luck

All the women got into position, Jane did so with little reluctance but Maura smiled at her and pulled her by the hand and Jane accepted. Angela prepared to throw it and said

"One, two, and three!" » and she threw her bouquet which went directly into the arms of Jane who was surprised to receive it because she had not moved much unlike some guests and Jane received congratulations from everyone and Angela said when she saw that it was Jane who received the bouquet

"You will be the next Janie

Impossible, the next one is Nina and I, it's not going to happen anytime soon

Nothing happens by chance and believe me, I'm sure it will happen and much faster than you think."

Jane hugged her mother and said

" Maybe I do not know. Ma, enjoy your honeymoon and don't let Vince come and tell me you haven't rested. Enjoy it, you deserve it

It's a promise, Jane."

Nina hugged Angela and said

"I am so happy for you, enjoy your honeymoon and send us photos

I promise. Nina, as soon as I get back, I promise I will help you with your wedding

Vince and Angela were once again congratulated and left to the applause of all the guests. Nina took Frankie's hand and the two looked at each other tenderly and imagined themselves in Vince and Angela's place and knew that it was going to happen quickly and that then they were going to start a family and Nina was just waiting for that.

Writing the second part took longer than expected, due to various small problems now resolved

I thought two chapters would be enough but that would have made one chapter too long and therefore painful to read

I'm working on the third (and final chapter I hope) of my fanfiction . It should arrive next month if all goes well but don't worry, this story will have an ending and of course a happy ending. I'm not giving anything away but I hate stories with sad endings so I'll never write one.

I'm also working on a fanfiction that will take place at Christmas, I hope to be able to post it next Monday on Christmas Day

I have other story ideas in my head and it's always fun to write.
