As Morpho Knight hovers above the orange-winged structure in the altar of the Divine Terminus, he begins to make his move.
Just like last time, he curls himself up, buries his face in his arms, and folds his wings to cover his body. The bright lights then start appearing.
At the far back, Kirby, Taranza and Sectonia close their eyes shut during the bright lights.
Susie continues to have her eyes closed shut, her head down, and her palms pressed together. She continues to pray that her father still loves her.
Truthfully, she's still a nervous wreck about this. Part of her is still terrified of this happening.
It could either go wonderfully or it could go very badly.
Entire whiteness surrounds the area for roughly thirty seconds, just like last time. It then starts to fade afterwards.
After the dust settles and bright lights fade away, everyone opens their eyes again, including Susie.
She's very slow at raising her head back up, though. She takes about ten seconds to slowly raise her head back up to look at the altar.
Once Susie looks at the altar...
... Her blood runs cold.
She lets out a heavy gasp.
Her heart races almost dangerously fast. Part of her almost feels like her heart is close to erupting out of her chest.
... There he is.
Max Profitt Haltmann.
Susie's father. Her progenitor.
He's... HE'S BACK!
He's wearing the same attire as he did at the time of his death. The same clothes he wore when he was the president of the Haltmann Works Company.
Susie is... unsure if that's a good or bad thing?
Either way, despite still being overall very nervous, she can rest just a little bit easy at the fact that he currently isn't looking at her right now.
Because, like Sectonia upon first being revived, Haltmann is also currently facing to the left of the altar's stairs, exchanging glances with Morpho Knight in front of him.
"Alright, Max. You should be good to move or speak now." said Morpho Knight. "How do you feel?"
Susie gulps immediately. Haltmann is about to speak for the first time after being brought back. She's going to feel it in her gut to just hear him speak.
He adjusts his shirt and tie for a couple of seconds before speaking.
"It feels... miraculous to be alive again!" Haltmann says, as he raises his hands in the air in joy. After putting them back down, he talks again. "Anyhow... I must see my daughter again. I need to tell Susanna that I love her and that everything will be okay!"
He... what?
... WHAT?!
Susie screams at the top of her lungs, as she's so incredibly stunned and flabbergasted. She's then quick to cover her invisible mouth with her hands.
He... he loves her?! HE ACTUALLY LOVES HER?!
Haltmann quickly turns to her direction, as he obviously heard her scream.
"Oh, my goodness!" he exclaims, as he already starts coming down the altar's stairs. "Susanna! There you are!"
Susie has to use every single ounce of willpower to not let herself receive a heart attack. To say that she's wildly astonished by this would be an understatement.
He's even calling her Susanna!
He's... quite LITERALLY the dad that she remembers and loves! AND HE LOVES HER, JUST LIKE HE SAID EARLIER!
A few seconds pass, and she finally removes her hands from her invisible mouth.
"DAD!" she yells in astonishment, although this is not quite as loud as the prior scream.
Before she even knows what she's doing, she dashes to Haltmann as he finishes coming down the altar's stairs.
Tears already form in her eyes.
"Oh... dad..." she says, voice still loud, as she looks at him directly in the eyes and presses her palms together again. She quivers. "Daddy! I'M SO SORRY! I'm SO sorry for getting you killed! I didn't mean to! I was just trying to get you to remember me again! I JUST WANTED YOU BACK! I was just trying everything I could to get yo-"
"Please calm down, Susanna. It's okay." Haltmann interjects by placing his hand on her shoulder.
She releases her palms from each other, as she then practically freezes in place upon being touched by him. The tears in her eyes increase as they stream down her face.
He was successful in getting her to calm down.
"I know full well that it was an accident, Susanna." he continues, gently patting her shoulder. "I am not mad. You really didn't even need to apologize, especially when I've seen all your remorse while watching over you. How could I be angry at my very own daughter over an accident that she so clearly regrets? I'm just happy to finally see you again. And if I'm being truthful, I owe you an apology that's far more necessary than yours."
In his last sentence, tears begin to form in his eyes.
There's a deep gentleness to his voice that Susie recognizes from back when she was a child. When they were still happily together.
Susie's tears become even more significant as he's been talking. They've been continuing to stream down her face.
"You deserve to know how painstakingly sorry I am for letting that terrible machine erase my memories to the point of not even recognizing you anymore." Haltmann still continues to talk, as he places his other hand on Susie's other shoulder, and his tears increase. "Let me tell you what happened: I was actually trying to use that machine to bring you back! I thought you were killed after that portal stole you away, and I grieved deeply because of it. I was then using Star Dream, and trying to have it grant my wish to bring you back... but it didn't allow it, and as I kept building it to continue finding chances to bring you back, it took away my memories instead."
Susie lets out a few horrified gasps while hearing him say all of this.
The part where Star Dream stole his memories wasn't necessarily surprising, as she was already suspicious of that beforehand. But it's spooking her to learn the rest of it.
"I-I-I-I didn't die, though!" she says, as her heart races. "The portal sent me to a horrible, twisted dimension! I was stranded in that nightmare of a place for more than a decade! AND THAT'S WHAT YOU WERE DOING WHILE I WAS GONE?!"
Oh, my Nova... he was using Star Dream TO TRY TO GET HER BACK!?
This... this is internally upsetting her to such a degree when it makes her think about what happened to him in the end…
"Yes, Susanna. That's precisely what I was doing!" said Haltmann, with his tears now streaming down his face. "Sadly, I didn't expect that overusing the machine would make suffer severe memory loss. And to this day, it still makes me embarrassed and ashamed to realize what it led to. Conquering and mechanizing all those planets wasn't something I did until Star Dream conditioned me to, but it especially makes me absolutely mortified to realize how I treated you when you finally returned! I can't believe that I declined hugs from you, and was an overall harsh and demanding boss for you. And I was so difficult that you literally had to steal Star Dream's helmet to make me come to my senses. You had no need to apologize for the fact that it caused my death, because it was my fault that it even got to that point in the first place! It's just so harrowing to realize everything that happened. But I'm glad that I'm finally back to let you know that I love you more than anything, just like I did before. That's why I was excited to be brought back to life, especially when I know you've been worried about what I was thinking of you. Your concern can now be put to rest. Here, Susanna... come have a great big hug!"
He releases both of his hands from her shoulders, as he then spreads them out to signify wanting a hug.
Susie takes a couple of seconds before she does anything. She's already made a mess on the ground with all the tears that have came out of her eyes.
To think that he was genuinely wanting that lost reunion every bit as much as she was... but was brain-damaged out of it.
And here he is, back to his normal mind. And he cares so much, that he was more than willing to confess everything to her. Expressing his regret to the point that he recognizes it was his fault why she even had to steal Star Dream's helmet from him, and thus he didn't even require an apology from her. He was the one that was much more needing to apologize, if anything.
This... this is the most earnest he could possibly be. Susie can feel it. She really, really feels it in her heart.
Before she gives him a hug, she utters something out first.
"I LOVE YOU TOO, DADDY!" she screams, with as much emotion in her voice as possible. She's now straight up crying.
Then it's when she gives him a hug, with him immediately hugging back. She starts sobbing at her absolute hardest. The emotion that she feels in this is unlimited.
Haltmann is crying, too, but the noises he makes are more of subtle weeping compared to Susie's unrestrained wailing. He's as every bit as emotional and heartfelt as she is during this hug, though.
"I know that this was supposed to happen as soon as you came back from that dimension, and I'm so sorry that it didn't." he says through the weeping, as he then hugs her more tightly. "But I am glad that we can finally hug again, Susanna."
Susie can't even get herself to make a response, as she's simply sobbing too much to do so.
This is all she wanted when she came back from Another Dimension. She wanted a hug from daddy while coming back to him after escaping that wretched place, but was deprived of it.
Her crying gradually intensifies as this is reopening a bunch of old wounds, especially after learning the fact that he was trying to use Star Dream to save her while she was gone. To realize that all those times he rejected hugs from her while she was his secretary was because it was the consequences of trying to use that machine to save her, as he would've genuinely wanted those hugs if it hadn't eroded his memories.
Susie now feels like a little child again while hugging him. In actuality, she's a grown adult woman... as she's twenty-eight years old, but she literally hasn't had a hug with her father since she was six, shortly before she was ripped away from him thanks to Star Dream's malfunction. This hug is rapidly reminding her of all the times she's had with him when she was little. When they hugged on the regular. When he promised that he'd hang the stars in the sky for her. When she knew that he loved her more than anything.
She's been deprived of a hug from daddy for so long, and now she's finally getting it. She's gotten numerous hugs from Kirby and Taranza in the past several years to help make her feel cared about, and they did genuinely help build her up over time, but this is different. This is so much more significant. She finally gets to hug DADDY again.
This... this could potentially be the hardest that Susie has ever cried in her entire life. Especially when she thought that her dad was never, ever going to come back.
Their hug lasts a while. It goes on for more than five minutes. Why wouldn't they make this a long hug, considering all the circumstances? There were many instances that this was supposed to happen, but didn't. This needs and deserves to be a long hug.
While they hug, tears can also be seen coming from Taranza, Sectonia and Kirby.
The spiders weep as their hearts have just about melted from watching this, especially Taranza. He's of course had his own grief, but he's also felt heartbreakingly awful for Susie and her father issues. It's why he's gone out of his way for her as a friend. What he's done for her is the reason why she's considered him to be her best friend. He's always been the one that she's been the most comfortable to talk to when it came to her father issues. He's been allowed to hear much more specific details about her father than anyone else has. And now that she has her dad back, and watching them both cry during their hug, it's too much for Taranza to handle without also weeping himself.
Kirby also has tears in his eyes at this reunion, just like the previous one did. This one also makes him incredibly emotional. When Susie first opened up to him about how her relationship with her dad was strained long before he died, it left him horrified to say the least. It was horrors that he couldn't even fathom. It's why he gave her a hug as soon as he was informed about it. And so it just warms his heart to enormous degrees to see Susie finally be with her dad again.
Eventually, Susie and Haltmann calm down from their crying noises, but their hug isn't over. Their tears are also still present.
"I learned this from hearing you talk about it to others while I've been watching over you, but it still makes me really, really hurt inside to have learned that you were stuck in that horrible dimension for more than a decade..." Haltmann says during their continued hug, with still heavy emotion in his voice. "To realize that you've been robbed of most of your childhood to that place. That it's put so much hurt onto you and ruined your life. It just absolutely breaks my heart to know that happened to you."
"It was so horrifying, daddy!" Susie says loudly, almost seeming like she's about to outright sob again, but just so tries to prevent herself from doing so.
She hugs onto Haltmann even more tightly than before, essentially clinging hard onto him like a scared little girl.
"It was so scary." she continues, with her voice quieter and softer. "I was on the brink of death several times. I had to force myself to be on high alert to escape being hunted by sphere doomers. And there was nobody that I met that could've helped me. Nobody that I was able to become friends with. I was all alone. It was a long-lasting nightmare and I just wanted to be out of there already. I can't believe I escaped all the near-death situations I was in, and I especially can't believe I was able to make it out of there alive."
The old wounds of her time of being stuck in that place are being reopened. It's not something she has been too open about. She was only ever willing to disclose about it to the people that she's friends with... and before now, she's been capable of slowly trying to recover from that.
But now, it all comes rushing back at once while hugging her dad.
Susie really wishes she had met Magolor at Another Dimension. When they shared experiences of being stuck in that place, it made her upset deep down to learn that he was stuck there for a time, too. It could've helped out so much if they encountered each other in that place, but sadly didn't. They could've had a needed friend for the time.
"If only I had still remembered you when you returned..." said Haltmann, with his voice also becoming softer and gentler. "Once again, I'm so sincerely sorry for everything that happened after you came back. But now, I know you and I love you so much once again. I'm just glad that we are together again. Like I said when I first came back, I want to now tell you that everything will be okay."
Their hug continues for many more minutes. At this point, their hug has lasted over ten minutes. They've calmed down into silence during the last few minutes.
Slowly... they finally pull away.
Haltmann gives her a smile. After Susie takes a few seconds to wipe the tears from her eyes and readjust herself, she smiles back.
She also begins to think about something to ask him, as she's curious to know.
"Hey, daddy." Susie says, with her voice still soft. "Since I take it that you've watched over me enough to have seen it, what do you think about how I revived the company and using its assets to help and supply planets? That's what you originally wanted to do, right? I remember when you told me that's what you wanted to do when we were still together! Before I was banished. I've been doing it in your honor and memory since you died. It's also... more or less what I wanted to do in life, too."
"Susanna..." Haltmann begins to respond, putting his hand on her shoulder again. "I'm proud of you for doing that. I'm SO proud of you, kid!"
At that, Susie becomes temporarily stunned.
It's... immediately sparking a ton of joy inside her to hear that her dad is proud of her, to the point it makes her unintentionally shake.
"Yes, that was indeed what I wanted to do before it all went downhill!" Haltmann continues joyfully, raising his hands in the air and them putting them back down. "I wanted to innovate the universe with science and technology. And I'm sure you remember that we were planning to use Star Dream for that very purpose until it backfired on us. I'm so incredibly proud of you for remembering that and bringing back the Haltmann Works Company with that very goal in mind! I believe that it's nothing short of wonderful that you've had the willpower and dedication to make my dreams come true. I'm also so proud of you for even being capable of doing it all without Star Dream, too!"
Oh Nova. Hearing him say all of this is making Susie so delighted. Her daddy is so proud of her!
This was the least she could do after accidentally causing his death. She did it to show how much she cared.
However, that last sentence urges her to respond.
"There was no way that I was going to let that horrible machine be any part of it!" she says. "After everything it did to us, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with it ever again. I've refused to rebuild another machine like it, since I no longer wanted to take any chances with the risks it would bring. I've built everything from the ground up with the help of the remaining Haltworkers, as I authorized them to cooperate with me."
At that, Haltmann claps a few times. It's clear that he is overjoyed by it.
"And it's absolutely stellar that you did!" he says. "Another thing that I'm so proud about is how you've been doing it to make up for the past troubles that the company has caused. It still makes me horrified to think about how Star Dream conditioned me to go along with its plan to conquer and mechanize entire planets, hurting the people in all those planets... and it horrifies me even more to think about how I dragged you into doing it, too! But I'm glad that you discontinued that direction when reviving the Haltmann Works Company, and went towards a better direction that's far more beneficial to the universe. I'm so proud of you for turning it all around, Susanna. As a matter of fact... You've been doing such a marvelous job at what you've currently been doing with the company, that I fully allow you to continue being the president! I wouldn't want to take it away from you as I'm so proud of you for it."
Susie was taken aback at that. She... she didn't think she'd expect him to say that!
But once the sudden shock fades, she smiles and presses her palms together. She was really heartfelt by his words there.
"Awww, daddy... that means so much to me!" she says with sheer delight.
She... wasn't sure if she intended to give up the presidential position with him coming back anyways? Unless he decided that he wanted to take it.
That being said, there's a reason why she feels like he probably shouldn't be the president again anyways, even if he wanted to. And it's... actually not because of what it was like when he was the president, but rather something else.
"I'm not quite sure how I'll fit into the company, now that I'm back." Haltmann says. "But the company has done so well with you being the president! Perhaps it won't be hard for me to figure out what position I can fit into."
"You don't need to have a position at all, daddy!" Susie responds. "If anything, I'd allow you to be in retirement. If I'm being honest, I'd encourage you to be in retirement. You've literally just been brought back to life, and so I think you deserve to relax. You deserve to take it easy after everything you've been through, including what happened to you since I was banished. We can easily create a building at the headquarters for you to rest easy in!"
That's the reason why she didn't believe he had any need to be the president, or have any position in the company for that matter. This thought was in her head for a few minutes during their conversation.
Upon hearing what she said, Haltmann places a hand on his chest... showing how heartfelt he is over that.
"Wow..." he says. "That's awfully kind of you, Susanna! I suppose the reason why I thought about looking for a position is because I've felt like I owe you in some way, despite wanting to let you stay as the president."
Aww. He cares about her so much that he wants to at least try to work anyways!
But truthfully, she still believes that he has no need to.
"It's okay, daddy. You still don't need to." said Susie, with her voice becoming softer again. "I get it, though, considering what you were like by the time I returned to you. But I don't have any hard feelings towards you over it anymore. After all, you clearly didn't expect the machine would make you forget about me. I can forgive you for what happened there. You honestly don't owe me anything, daddy. You really don't. I'm just happy that you're finally back... and I never thought you'd be back. I love you so much."
Her voice became especially soft at the last several sentences.
Susie then comes over to give her dad another hug, with him being quick to return the embrace.
This is a much calmer hug. They're both still emotional, but neither of them are necessarily crying anymore. After their emotional outbursts from the first hug, they've calmed down.
They're literally just happy to have each other once again.
Before he came back, Susie was so worried. She was scared that he would've hated her... but he does not. Instead, he loves her to pieces, just like when she was a child.
Deep down, she's still a little mind-boggled to think that she was nervous, but it turned out he literally didn't even require an apology from her. It was so much easier than she imagined. But after everything she's been through, it made it difficult to be too optimistic until it finally happened.
This hug lasts for a couple of minutes.
Kirby, Taranza and Sectonia continue to watch, as they continue to be very heartfelt over their reunion. Their tears had long ended, but they're all still emotional over this.
"Yay, yay! Hooray for Susie!" Kirby says, as he bounces up and down in excitement.
A moment after he says that, the Haltmanns finish up their hug.
Susie turns around. Looking right at Kirby, she smiles at him as she then comes up to him. Spreading her hands while coming up to him, she then wraps the pink puffball in a hug. As usual, he's quick to return the hug.
"Thank you so much, little pinky." she says, her voice still rather soft, as she hugs Kirby tight. "Sorry that I was pessimistic at the start. I just didn't quite know how he would act. But now I've been more than assured. I'm so happy that he's back, and it's all thanks to you. I thank you profusely for having the heart to make that wish. It means absolutely everything to me and my father. You keep outdoing yourself as the greatest hero this universe has ever had. You're so, so wonderful. I can't thank you enough for this."
She's filled with so much joy. Even now, a small part of her is still absolutely shocked that this has all happened, but she really and truly appreciates Kirby so much for caring enough to ask Morpho Knight to bring her father back.
Earlier, when she told Kirby that he's her hero, she wasn't joking. He is. The same goes for him being Taranza's hero, too.
After she releases Kirby from her hug, her father comes up. He walks up to the pink puffball.
"Hiii!" Kirby greets Haltmann as they make eye contact.
The man reaches out his hand to the pink puffball, who is quick to accept the offer for a handshake.
"Thank you so much for wishing to have me and my daughter finally see each other again." Haltmann says. "But I also must thank you so much for being her friend and for looking out for her. I can't even begin to explain how much I appreciate you doing that, Kirby."
At that, Kirby smiles heavily.
"Happy you are back!" he says. "It wasn't fair that you died. I wish I could have beaten that machine without you disappearing. But welcome back!"
Haltmann uses his other hand to pat Kirby's head a couple of times, showing his appreciation for the pink puffball's care and kindness.
After finishing shaking hands with Kirby, Haltmann then turns his attention to Taranza, giving him a handshake as well.
"I give YOU a great big thank you for looking out for my daughter and for being her friend, too." he says. "Both of you. Thank you both so much for being her friends. For making sure that she's not alone, and for making her feel cared about. I can't thank you both enough for going out of your way to be support for her when she's needed it."
Taranza gives a proud smile, seemingly delighted by those words.
He also thumbs up with all his five other hands that aren't being shaken.
"You're more than welcome." he responds. "Just acknowledging everything that's happened between you and her has just been... tragic, to say the least. It's hit close to home for me. But I'm so happy that you two have each other again. Anyways... I wonder, have you and Sectonia been speaking to one another when you were both in the afterlife?"
"Yes! Yes, we have!" said Sectonia, before Haltmann is able to respond. "Yeah. It's real, he and I have became friends in the afterlife. I've spoken him about what happened to me... and he did the same about what happened to him. It's made us understand why you and Susie became drawn to one another."
Susie comes a little closer to the discussion.
"We've... we've understood each other like nobody else has!" she says. "We came together so many times over how much we missed you guys."
When Taranza and Susie first met, they were initially perplexed at one another due to their vastly differing cultures. But when they came to learn about each other's tragedies, they changed tune. It hit close to home for the both of them.
Susie has understood what Taranza has been going through much more than anyone else has. His other friends can give him all the support, sympathy and hugs, but Susie hit closer than his other friends as she's been able to tell him about how much it sucks to watch someone you love waste away and die, and that you feel responsible for their death in some way. Like him, she knew what that was like.
The same is true for vice versa. Even though Susie has received support from everyone she's became friends with over her tragedy, Taranza has always felt the most significant out of them in that regard. For her, it has always been the most comforting to get support from someone that experienced a lot of the same problems and can tell her how crushing it was. The most comforting to be friends with someone that's been in her shoes.
And now, when they both finally get back the people they lost... not only are they so happy to have them back, but they're also happy for each other getting their loved ones back, too.
"When I learned about what happened between you spiders, it really struck at me to realize you've been through something similar from what happened to us!" Haltmann says. "How you also tried your darndest to stay loyal and to try to bring her back, just like what happened with us, but she was sadly too far gone at that point like I was. It's made me feel awful for you... just like how awful I've felt about being so difficult to my daughter to the point of making her lose me. I'm glad you spiders are back together again, too!"
This is all wonderful information to hear. To hear that Sectonia and Haltmann have literally even been friends while they've both been in the afterlife, and that they've shared their stories to one another, and having felt sorry for each other.
So... it appears that they may have bonded with one another in the afterlife, just like how Taranza and Susie bonded while still alive.
"It... freaked me out to know how you literally forgot your own kid, dude!" Sectonia says to Haltmann. "But it's also just made me feel even worse about my own situation. That I still knew who Taranza was, but treated him horribly even despite still knowing who he was! That I gave him the impression that I hated him. I really, really regret all the things I did."
Stars, she still feels horrible about all the things she did, didn't she? One could suppose that she couldn't necessarily be faulted for it. It just shows how much she's grown to care about Taranza, wishing she hadn't treated him so poorly back then.
But it's not like it matters too much anymore.
"Hey... don't worry about it, Sectonia!" Taranza is quick to reassure. "All that matters now is that you're back, and back to normal. Same goes for the Haltmanns. Susie and I missed you guys so much, we're just so glad that you're back. We can leave the past behind us now that we have you back!"
That's really what mattered most. Both situations can fix their lesser problems later. It's just a delight that they're back.
"And it's all thanks to this miraculous pink hero!" said Haltmann, who then turns his attention to Kirby. "Kirby, no one could possibly be a better hero than you are if they tried. Sectonia and I had even watched over you feeling sad about us being dead, and being support for the ones we left behind... and to think that you used the wishes that Morpho Knight allowed you as the opportunity to bring us back. I'd hate to imagine how much worse this universe would be if it wasn't for you... it most likely wouldn't even exist! We all give you the biggest thank you for making all of this happen. Words can't explain how much it means to all of us!"
As he said his words, everyone else turns their attention to Kirby. He's the ultimate hero in all of this. Without him, this wouldn't have happened. And again, he wasn't necessarily even obligated to made the wishes he made, but he cared enough to do so.
He really deserves all the props in the world for this.
Kirby makes a few bounces in excitement.
"So happy you are both back!" he says. "I didn't think your deaths were fair. At all. I didn't even want either of you killed, I only wanted to stop what you did when you weren't in your right minds. Your deaths were so sad, and so I wished to get you back to normal! Just like what they wanted. I just wanted everyone to be happy again!"
A moment after his words, Taranza and Susie both come up to Kirby and hug him at the same time. They both hug him by the sides, and they hug him tight.
Sectonia and Haltmann smile while watching their formerly-grieving loved ones hug their little hero.
Kirby lets out a proud giggle as they both hug onto him. He knows he did what's right for them.
"Kirby, I think we all owe our lives to you!" Taranza says.
"I have to agree completely!" Susie concurs. "It's still a bit unbelievable you managed to get this to happen, but we can't thank you enough for it!"
The pink puffball was a wonderful hero for going out of his way to save both Hyness and the Mage Sisters. He was a wonderful hero for going out of his way to save Leongar, so he was able to reunite with the rest of the Beast Pack.
The tragedies of Sectonia and Haltmann made him motivated to save everyone in the two later incidents, but he was still sad over those tragedies. However... those two tragedies have now been mitigated, as they've now been brought back to life. And thus, like the two later incidents, Kirby is now also a wonderful hero for making wishes to revive these two.
After Taranza and Susie release Kirby from their hug, Morpho Knight flies over to the scene.
"Congratulations on both of your reunions." he says. "And Kirby has proven to be quite the hero once again to have made those wishes to me. But I believe that I need to get going, now. Before I do, however, I believe that single warp star by itself won't be enough to take you all out of here, and so here's a couple more to mitigate that problem."
Two more warp stars summon from behind him, as they fly over to each side of the one that's been sitting there previously.
"Have a good rest of your day, everyone." Morpho Knight continues. "Peace."
He then makes a bright light around him, transforming back into a butterfly, and flies off.
These three warp stars are easily enough to get everyone out of here.
It's now time to go home, everyone thinks.
Taranza, Sectonia, Susie and Haltmann all give Kirby their final thanks before everyone packs up and leaves.
They then hop on the warp stars. Kirby hops on the middle warp star by himself, Taranza and Sectonia hop on the warp star to the left of his, and the rightmost warp star is hopped on by Susie and her father. Haltmann has never used a warp star before, so he was baffled at first, but Susie showed him how it works.
And just like that, everyone now leaves the Divine Terminus.
While leaving the Divine Terminus, everyone goes back to their respective homes. Susie and her father return to planet that homes the Haltmann Works Companys' headquarters, Taranza and Susie return to Royal Road in Floralia, and Kirby returns to his little house in Dream Land.
When Taranza and Sectonia went through Floralia to make their way through Royal Road's castle, it went noticed by other people in the floating islands. When they realized that it's Sectonia, the same person that was once a corrupted tyrannical wasp that wanted to rule Floralia with an iron fist, they freaked out.
Taranza told everyone in Floralia that there's nothing to worry about, though. Sectonia won't do all of that again, especially considering how ashamed and guilty she still feels after all of it. The spiders won't let themselves be near another dimensional mirror ever again to make it possible to repeat that slippery slope.
Upon hearing that the spiders won't do a repeat of what happened before, the people of Floralia come to cautiously accept Sectonia again. They keep their distance. Although it's not like Taranza gets visited by other Floralians while living in Royal Road anyways, so it ultimately doesn't become a huge deal to them when Sectonia comes back to living in Royal Road again. Especially considering that she's not a corrupted wasp anymore, and won't ever be that again.
When the spiders return to Royal Road's castle, Taranza showed Sectonia all the things that his friends have made in her memory. The drawings, paintings, masks and robotic figurines designed after her. She appreciates all of it very much. Part of her felt like she didn't deserve it, but appreciated it nonetheless, especially when she was also happy at the fact that Taranza enjoyed it all.
Taranza keeps letting her know that she does deserve it. It's sad that she's still heavily ashamed of all the things she did. It's understandable why she feels ashamed... but at the same time, Taranza believes that the past doesn't matter too much anymore, and keeps reminding her now that everything will be okay. He's just so happy that she's back. His grief has slowly improved over time while she was dead, but he's now just delighted that she's alive once again.
He's promised to Sectonia that he'll help build her up... and it's not even like he hasn't done such a thing before. He'll help build her up and help her figure out what kind of life she may want to live from this point forward, now that she's back. He'll help her through on whatever emotional turmoil she's feeling.
It'll also be quite exciting to bring her down to Popstar proper at times to have him meet his friends. While Kirby and Susie had already met Sectonia at the Divine Terminus, Taranza is excited to introduce the real Sectonia to all his other friends. He believes that they all deserve to meet her, and that she deserves to meet them!
Meanwhile, as Susie and her father arrived at the company's headquarters, all the employees in the area gave Max Profitt Haltmann a warming welcome back. He was very delighted and heart-warmed to see them welcoming him back.
Many of the employees asked Haltmann if he's going to be the president of the Haltmann Works Company again, but he said no every time they ask. He believes that Susie has been doing more than good enough of a job in being the president, and is much too proud of her to want to take the position from her. He wants to allow her to continue what he's so proud of her for doing.
In fact, he's not going to work in any position in the company at all. As Susie recommended, he confirmed that he's going to be in retirement. After all... he deserves to take it easy after being dead for eight years, as well everything he's been through after Susie's disappearance as a child beforehand.
Susie continues to be the president of the Haltmann Works Company, continuing its purpose of supplying technology to planets with their consent, as she's been running the company that way for many years now. And as Haltmann will be in retirement, Susie informed her employees about the new project that she's planned of building a home for her father in the headquarters.
Overall, the Haltmann Works Company is very joyous about Max Haltmann's revival, as the man that was the company's original founder is alive once again.
Even though Susie has been healing over time from her grief while Haltmann was dead, now she's happier than she ever was before because he's back. For a long while, she was afraid about how negatively her father could've potentially thought of her... but was quick to be proven otherwise when he came back. She's just so overjoyed at the fact that she and her father are now happily together once again, after over two decades of not.
Thanks to Haltmann now being in retirement, that means it will be easy for him to join Susie in whatever vacations she takes. She likes to take vacations on Planet Popstar from time to time, and so she'll be glad to let her dad join her on those vacations from this point forward. Kirby and Taranza have already met Susie's father at the Divine Terminus... but it will be very interesting to see how the rest of Kirby's other friends will take to meeting him, now that he's back in his right mind.
Kirby plans to take nap after he reaches back to his home in Dream Land. After all, he woke up this morning earlier than he usually does, and so he could use some more rest for the time being.
The pink puffball is so happy and proud at himself for what he did today.
He's always been sad at the deaths of Sectonia and Haltmann when they occurred, and has felt heartbroken over how Taranza and Susie were previously unable to ever see the ones they lost again.
This was something that left him genuinely hurt for a while. For a while, he felt guilty for not being able to save them, and he carried the weight of their deaths on him ever since they occurred. Even after he saved Hyness and Leongar from near-death, it didn't stop his sadness over Sectonia's and Haltmann's deaths.
But now, as they're now back to life thanks to wishing Morpho Knight to bring them back, he's made himself a hero yet another time. Kirby is glad that he made the wishes he did. If he had made his two wishes be things for himself, it wouldn't have been as fulfilling. He's content with the way his life is right now, and thus had no need to make the wishes be things for himself. He made the wishes to revive Sectonia and Haltmann because he previously felt guilty about not being able to save them back then. He also did it because he cared enough about Taranza and Susie to want them to see their loved ones again.
He's happy that the spiders and the Haltmanns are now on the road to having the happy endings that was previously ripped from them.
Right before Kirby starts his nap, he thought about whipping up a party for the spiders and the Haltmanns, and inviting all his friends to that party to have them meet Sectonia and Haltmann in their fresh minds. He did that for the Jambastion cult and the Beast Pack after saving their leaders, after all!
But he's simply too tired to do that right now. He'll likely do it later in the week, or whenever both parties can get the party set up.
Today couldn't have possibly been better. Kirby absolutely didn't expect Morpho Knight of all people to have showed up at his door this morning, but he couldn't have been happier about what came out of it in the end.
Even though Morpho Knight said that he has no real plans to revive anyone again after reviving Sectonia and Haltmann... honestly, that's okay. Even Kirby understands that death is inevitable for all life, but those two deaths were just different. Kirby considered those two instances to be unfair, unjust, and untimely deaths, and he was so happy that Morpho Knight was at least willing to bring them back as he wished.
It's still early afternoon, but because Kirby woke up earlier than normal, he's going to nap anyways. It's alright. He can wake up again later in the evening!
Kirby naps. He's not sure what later today will bring, but he's glad to have made another great act of heroism this morning.
Have a good nap, Kirby!
