Chapter 12: Holiday Break-In

SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy wake up and realize that are on the walk, with shackles around their arms and legs. They try to escape, to no avail.

SpongeBob: Where... are we?

Sandy: I... (sighs) I don't know.

They see Anti-SB walking up to them.

SpongeBob: You? What are you doing here?

Sandy: Yeah, what do you want with us?

Anti-SB: What I want with you? I think you know.

Patrick: What are you wanting to do with this box?

Anti-SB: Something big.

He uses his technology to show them an illusion that shows the timeline in a purple matter.

Anti-SB: This... is everything.

SpongeBob: (realizing) The multiverse...

Anti-SB: When I first had my grip on the box, I saw myself before a grand council. A group of people who had control to the box. You may think you created the Portal Box, but you didn't. A mysterious element is in that box that can allow the portals to appear. The Parallel Crystal.

He shows an illusional image of it. The crystal is purple, with lightning coming out of it.

Anti-SB: A special element that has the power to allow the portals to appear anywhere. Without a containment system, the crystal can be seen as a world-ending blockade. That's why they built the Portal Box. The box constantly changes position, attempting to find a new owner to protect it. I nearly had it, until that stupid wizard sent it to a portal. That's why I banished him... to an area where escape is impossible.

The three critters gasp in horror at this.

Patrick: Who was the wizard?

Anti-SB: His name... was Wizard Krabs.

SpongeBob: My boss was a wizard?

Anti-SB: We were old friends once, but we had our disagreements. Eventually, we decided to go in different directions. Until when he had the box in his possession. Before I banished him, I got something of his. (he takes out the wizard's staff)

Sandy: A wizard staff?

Anti-SB: This staff is the most powerful there is. Its magic can be powerful enough to destroy a dragon. I can find its... magical capabilities towards good use. But I'll use it later. For now, I need... them. (points to SpongeBob and Patrick)

SpongeBob: Us? For what?

Anti-SB: You two have the right index code. (presses a button to free them)

Patrick: Hurry, run for it!

The two try to run, but Anti-SB uses his powers to freeze them in time. He walks up towards them and puts handcuffs on them. He then unfreezes them and he grabs their handcuffs, causing them to fall.

Anti-SB: We're not done here. You two will be needed. A Christmas party is happening, at a casino in Monte Carlo, and you two will help me retrieve the final missing piece.

Sandy: What are you gonna need it for?

Anti-SB: Code name: Project Atlas. Top-secret. Your friends can be seen of good use for this.

He opens the portal, revealing the top floor room of the building.

Anti-SB: Let's prepare for a heist!

SpongeBob and Patrick are dragged away as the three enter the portal, which closes afterwards. Sandy tries to escape, but fails. She soon notices a nail on the floor, and there being a console pad. She gets an idea. She tries to get close enough to kick it. It takes a bit of time, but she successfully makes it. She kicks the nail, which bounces off the wall, then off the other one, before hitting the console. The shackles retract and she lands flawlessly on the ground.

Sandy: Perfect, now I need to do is find my friends and get out of this misery hole.

She runs off and notices an enormous level of security, so she ducks and becomes stealthy in her moves, so she does not get caught. She hides behind some soldiers, hides behind some tables, and makes it to the door. She notices a button that says "turn utility belt characters into hand-drawn characters. She sneakily smiles and presses it, before running off. The soldiers turn into hand-drawn characters. One of them looks like a wooden puppet.

Soldier #1: What is happening?

Another approaches, looking like a dwarf.

Soldier #2: I know not what's happening.

As Sandy runs into the corridor, she notices some strange shapes, in the form of a star and square, on the top floor. She assumes it may be her friends, so she runs to the elevator and to the top floor.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group makes it to the outside.

Phineas: (inspects the map) Okay, so according to the map, there is a ventilation system that can allow us to enter the building and locate our friends. But there is a massive amount of security. So we need to enter carefully. Let's go!

Phineas and Candace open the vents, and they, alongside everyone else, enter the surprisingly large vents.

Doofenshmirtz: Like I said once before, these vents are big. I think I want to move in here.

Candace: Yeah, I think it's very comfy.

They open the vents, and they put the doors aside. Perry launches his grappling hook, and swings aside towards the other side. He takes out two guards, dressed as princesses. He insert a chip, creating an illusion of the Portal Box. The Box runs off, and everyone runs off after it. Perry chatters, giving the all clear. Everyone climbs out.

Mr. Krabs: Okay, Mr. Squidward, let's go up!

Squidward: Oh, no, no way! I will not...(gets dragged by Mr. Krabs)

The portals open across the area.

Plankton: One of these portals must lead us towards them! Head inside each one of them!

Everyone heads inside the portals. Phineas, Ferb, Buford, Baljeet, Doofenshmirtz and Perry enter one and see a laboratory of parts.

Buford: Hmm, looks like a bunch of old parts.

Doofenshmirtz: No, wait a minute... these aren't old parts. These are testing inventions.

Phineas notices a blueprint on the table. He grabs it and inspects it. It features a picture of purple lightning.

Phineas: "Purple Lightning Test 27?" This lightning test was part of old plans.

Perry finds another blueprint, revealing it to be test plans for a material called "Granite." Doofenshmirtz finds plans for a testing material called "Yellow Dust Cloud."

Doofenshmirtz: What could he be using all this stuff for?

Buford notices a string on the floor. He pulls it out and a giant tarp falls off. Everyone walks over, and much to their horror, witness something shocking.

Ferb: This... is something big.

Plankton, Karen, Barry and Naldo enter through a portal notice a scientific room filled with different types of beakers. They notice a giant ball of different colors and a giant board filled with pins hitting different areas.

Plankton: So, what mess have they messed up?

A fan activates, blowing some paper into his face. He notices the heading called "Numerous Shipments Attacked."

Plankton: Shipments? As in, useful stuff?

Karen: So, that train, where they attacked, they took something important.

Naldo: That mysterious piece?

Barry: Yes, the piece that had that light on it.

Karen: Hey, there's a giant board over there.

The four checks the board, and they notice numerous pins on it, where there are buildings and times and dates on the areas.

Plankton: Looks like our attack wasn't the only one. According to this map, they must've attacked buildings and stole important things.

Barry: What could he be needing with all that stuff?

Another portal opens up, with Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Farkle entering across a toy factory, with moving models and a few Christmas wreaths on the doors.

Riley: Hey, look, some Christmas wreaths.

Lucas: Um, it's not Christmas, yet.

Farkle: Hey, look, moving toys. They look like nutcrackers.

Maya: Eh, nutcrackers? Who uses them anyway? They aren't very useful.

Riley: Hey, the nutcracker is offended. Besides, my dad has one and he uses it to good measure.

They notice something beeping in a nearby crate. They find the crate, lift it up, and they open it. Inside, there a few tracking devices, and some pictures of headlines. Lucas picks up one of the papers.

Lucas: Hey, you might want to read this. "Last night, a guy in an armored suit had stolen a giant piece of metal last night. It was due to be transported from Siberia to London when the train was derailed by an army of masked men."

Maya: Hey, I think I found something, too. "A terrorist in a black-and-orange suit attacked a research institute a few days ago. Lasers were reported to have been fired in all directions as a radioactive plant was stolen. Luckily, the personnel working there were reported to be safe."

Riley: What could he be targeting? And what purpose do we play in this situation?

Farkle: Well, whatever this is, (picks up paper) I bet this explains why.

Riley: Hey, it's the exact theft that happened on the train.

Maya: Well, what more thefts has he planned? And what are we gonna do?

Another portal opens, out comes Gary and Spot. They notice a pet kennel, where there are other imprisoned pets. There are many cages across different roles of aisles, all in different sizes. They notice dogs, cats, chickens, jellyfish, turtles, pandas, etc. They heads towards a nearby dogs. Gary meows to him about what happened to them. The dog barks that Anti-SB captured them all, and then placed them inside the pet kennel. Gary meows about how it is going in there. The dog barks that Anti-SB has tortured them, and stripped them of their dog tags and freedom. Gary meows for his thanks and he and Spot run off. They fall into an air shaft that sends them onto the top of the building. They notice SpongeBob and Patrick walking, with Anti-SB monitoring them. They try to run up to them to save them, but a net ensnares them.

Meanwhile, another portal opens, and out comes Jessie and the Ross kids, and they discover that they are in an hamster room, where numerous hamsters are running on wheels, and judging by their condition, they are very tired. But a whip snaps at them, and they worriedly continue running out of fear.

Zuri: Hey, this is wrong! Aren't these hamsters supposed to be in a pet shop?

Jessie: Yeah, not this abandoned workshop.

Ravi and Luke notice a nearby hamster banging on his cage, begging for freedom.

Ravi: Hey, this little rodent deserves some help. Let's pull him out and get him a good home.

They pull the hamster out and open up a vent, which has a clear view out into the city. They set the hamster down and he chirps at them, thanking them for what they've did, before he runs out. They seal the vent afterwards.

Luke: That hamster isn't so bad after all.

They notice a table filled with tape recordings on them.

Luke: Hey, what's on the table?

Jessie: I think it's some recording logs; he left some messages. (grabs one and presses the play button; the other kids huddle closer to hear)

Anti-SB: (on tape) Testing has yielded... rather complex results. This project has been known to be off-radar for a while. But with the Portal Box, I can finally finish this and rid myself of that idiotic sea star once and for all.

The group gasps in horror.

Ravi: He wants to destroy the sea star?

Emma: We need to find them and warm them about what is to happen soon!

The group runs out of the room, but two guards, their utility belts having turn them into bushy-haired dwarfs, hold laser guns at them, with the group worried.

Luke: Um, this isn't a game or a dream?

Emma: No, Luke, it's not!

Across another portal, Austin, Ally, Trish and Dez enter inside a computer room, with there being widespread surveillance of the area. They notice on the computer that two guards are goofing off, by throwing a football. One of the guards gets hit in the head and falls into a fountain. The boys laugh at this.

Austin: Hey, that guy just splashed into a fountain!

Dez: Yeah, he just got watered on!

Ally: Oh, come on, we don't have time for this. We need to find that sponge and star and get out of here and find a way back to home. My dad may be worried about me.

Trish: Oh, that's nonsense. Besides, he'll be fine.

A mysterious, eerie hum is heard. They find it in a small box. They open the box and find blueprints of the Portal Box.

Austin: Was he... studying it?

They find a button on the box and it automatically presses itself, and the walls open, revealing numerous boxes, all having the label "failed" on them.

Ally: It looks like he wasn't just studying it. (picks up a box) He was trying to... recreate it. But for some reason, he didn't succeed.

They find a series of blueprints, revealing "prophecies on the kids" and they find themselves, alongside a few kids drawn on the blueprints.

Ally: We're involved in this because it's fate. It needed us, alongside everyone else, to come here.

The computer changes the screen, revealing it to be a drawn scale model of the Parallel Crystal.

Trish: Parallel Crystal? What does he need it for?

Dez: I don't know much, but I think he needs that crystal so he can successfully make the box. But he finds it a waste of time, so he's trying to locate the original copy locate inside the box they have.

The other kids are left surprised.

Austin: Whoa, I can't believe you just figured out something big like that.

Dez: Yeah, it just came to my head and I just let the track move...

Ally: Well, let's keep the train moving! (imitates a train whistle; everyone else is not impressed) What? It's cool to do that. Anyways, let's find the kid.

The kids run back to the portal, not noticing a tiny robotic spider spying on them, with a tiny camera on its back.

Across another portal, Alex, Justin, Max, and Harper finds themselves inside a room filled with magical artifacts and relics.

Max: He's been keeping mysterious toys in here. I wonder what cool stuff he has.

Alex: Wow, for a square guy, he has a lot of mysterious stuff. I wonder, am I jealous?

Justin: You're always jealous of me being a better success than you.

Alex: Hey, that's not true! Okay... a little.

The kids notice many magic staffs hung on the wall.

Harper: He has collected a lot of these things.

Justin: You're kidding me. He has collected magic bombs, lightning-in-a-jar bottles, heck, he has even collected a special diamond wizard robe!

Max: I think I like this guy, in spite of him trying to kill us.

Alex: (grabbing a wizard staff) Hey, this is cool. (the staff activates and it zaps a beam of lightning through the roof, leaving a burning hole there) Whoa! Our magic, plus this, equals awesome!

Justin: Our magic minus this stuff equals no burning holes.

Harper: Okay, so they're not here, but they said something about more security, so we should use this stuff towards good use.

Alex: Not a bad idea, Harper. This stuff has some great powers.

Justin: Normally, I'd disagree, but this amazing stuff is incredible! We shouldn't let it go to waste.

Max: Okay, guys, let's get our magic on!

Everyone grabs a few mist bombs, lighting staffs, some ice cube grenades, and many more cool stuff, gadgets and magic items. A drone appears at the portal, armed.

Alex: (holding an ice cube grenade) Let's get our ice on. (throws it and the grenade hits the drone, causing it to freeze and the ice cube created with the drone encased inside to fall onto the ground, smashing it)

Harper: Ooh, nice pun!

Alex: Thanks. Working on a few little clever remarks.

The kids race through the portal, which closes soon after.

Across another portal, Candace, Isabella, Cyd, Shelby, Miley, Lilly, and Oliver come out of it and find themselves directly into a giant room filled with a lot of security and drones monitoring the area. They hide behind a brown crate. The guards and drones hear something mysterious, so they surveillance the area, but they find nothing suspicious. The giant steel inch doors open, and out comes the handcuffed SpongeBob and Patrick being dragged by Anti-SB. The guard and drones line up in position. Anti-SB steps onto a podium.

Isabella: There they are.

Candace: How do we get there safely?

Anti-SB: (speaking on microphone) Hello, comrades. We are in preparations for the greatest plot that mankind has ever seen. We have targeted and attacked machine shipments that hold some of the multiverse's greatest technology possible. For example, Heist 4-B. A high-speed express train transporting Grade-A plutonium from London to a nuclear waste power plant. Thousands of our machinery blasted the tracks and the plutonium exploded, leaving the entire train destroyed and a huge city in the radius obliterated and thousands dead. But some crates survived.

SpongeBob and Patrick look horrified. Behind the crate, the others have the same reaction.

Miley: (whispering) I can't believe this!

Lilly: (whispering) I know; he killed thousands of people!

Shelby: (whispering) He's a monster! Our square friend wouldn't do such a thing.

Anti-SB: (continuing his speech) We have targeted many areas of areas, and we seized all required parts. But we have one final piece needed. (a nearby screen shows the aforementioned piece) The last piece needed is a small piece of a meteorite, directly hailing from pieces of a planet that is hidden inside a star located on the far edge of the universe, and it's located at a display case at a Christmas party in a Monte Carlo casino in another dimension.

As Anti-SB continues talking, SpongeBob and Patrick hear some rustling.

SpongeBob: (whispering) Hey, Pat, do you hear something?

Patrick: (whispering) Um, no.

The group notices the sponge and star becoming confused to what the noise they believe they hear.

Oliver: Hey, they're hearing something.

Cyd: Let's get them to notice us, but be quiet so we don't get caught.

They wave their hands to the two sea creatures, and they begin to see the waves. They wave their hands. Patrick notices a piece of paper. He gives it to SpongeBob, and he uses a pen to write something on it. Once he finishes writing, he turns the paper into a tiny airplane. He tosses it directly at the crate, which approaches at the group. Both sides give thumbs-up for confirmation.

Anti-SB: So we're ready. We're out of time. We're late. Activate the inator.

Two guards bring the inator, revealing it to be a hand-constructed copy of Doofenshmirtz's inator into another dimension. They activate some button and moves some switches. They then take out a lightning ball and insert into the core. The inator activates and it opens a green portal. The environment shows a party and it's bustling with people; men, women, children. There are mistletoes planted everywhere, with Christmas trees planted all over the area. There are Christmas lights hung over the walls, and there being a disco ball. Everyone is enjoying themselves.

Anti-SB: Move out. (Anti-SB grabs the handcuffs and drags the sea critters with him into the party, with other soldiers and drones, posing as robotic waiters, following him; all leave except for two guards)

The two guards check the area and hear something. They inspect the crates, and they find the kids there.

Shelby: We're caught! Run!

Guard #1: Wait! We're with you guys.

Miley: Um, what do you mean?

The guards take out the hologram projector and they turn it off, revealing themselves to be Paige and Frankie.

Paige: We used this weird device so we can find them.

Isabella: Great idea! Now, let's go save them.

Candace: Hold it, sister. A lot of those things are at that party. And that guy has them. We'd get caught at first glance. We need a plan.

Lilly: He sent us a note. (reads it) "When we touched the box, it vibrated. It's like it's trying to help us. If the box vibrates, it can help you save us from him. There's a nearby microphone and headset cabinet near you that can aid you."

Frankie: So we're pulling a spy mission?

Cyd: Heck, yeah!

They locate the cabinet nearby, which is red and with some hints of blue. The headsets and microphones are there. They grab some, then right afterwards, the Portal Box glows as Miley takes it out.

Miley: Hey, he's right. It's vibrating. (a portal opens and she and Lilly are beamed out for a moment)

The two girls find themselves in a giant room filled with large amounts of clothing and wig styles. The box pulses.

Miley: So, in order for this plan to work, we'll need to use disguise. Luckily, this area has everything.

Lilly: So, we're gonna use our "double lives?" Perfect idea, Hannah.

Miley: Thank you, Lola.

They heads towards the closet, and the closet recognizes them. It activates a roller that sends the girls inside the doors, which close afterwards.

Meanwhile, Sandy is running around the corridor, trying to locate her friends.

Sandy: Where are they? Think, Sandy. There must be an idea or something that's useful around here.

She enters an area where there are available tools.

Sandy: Jackpot!

Suddenly, another portal, which is in red-and-white opens up near her.

Sandy: What in the Texas-fried baked beans?

Out from the portal comes a teenage girl, wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white sneakers.

Girl: Um, are you a squirrel?

Sandy: Yes. My name is Sandy. And you?

Girl: I'm Harley. Harley Diaz. It's nice to meet you, Sandy. (shakes her hand) I'm part of a big family, and I invent cool things.

Sandy: Whoa, you're an inventor? So am I! I invented a banana-peeler, a teleporter, a cloning table...

Harley: Whoa! You invented some cool stuff! I invented things to help my family. A table that has a conveyor belt so we share equally, a slushie machine for my dad's shop, a mom-tracker, so I can track her...

Sandy: Seems like we both have something in common. Hey, can you help me find my friends?

Harley: Sure. We can use what's here to build a device to help locate them.

The two grab some pieces of tools and they work together to build a device. They insert a few cords, activate some electricity, and they give a good paint design. When they finish, the device is a small square device with two bulbs at the top.

Sandy: Perfect! What we made is called the Person Tracker!

Harley: Eh, a better name would be better.

Sandy: Good point. The device we made can be able to locate anyone. All we need to do is add some essence of SpongeBob and Patrick?

Harley: Like, their blood or snot?

Sandy: A piece of their bodies. Luckily, they can regrow. (she inserts a tiny piece of their bodies into the slot of the machine, and it grabs their signals) We got something!

The screen reveals them to be walking down, with guards and drones patrolling the party happening at the Christmas party.

Sandy: What are those people?

Harley: Yeah, and why are there drones at a Christmas party following them?

Sandy: Well, I saw them being dragged away in handcuffs. Device, where are they?

Device: Subjects have taken a portal towards Monte Carlo.

Sandy: Okay, so where's the portal?

Device: Portal is located on top floor, second room to the left.

Harley: What's all the portal talk about?

Sandy: I'll tell you on the way. It's a very long day.

The two girls run out of the hallway and head for the stairs.

Back in the clothing dressing room, the doors open, and the girls come out, with pretty cool designs. Boots, dresses, jewelry and other cool accessories. They both comment on their cool stylings. Both girls have wigs on - Miley has a blonde wig, while Lilly has a pink wig.

Miley: Hey, awesome clothing! Perfect for a great party!

Lilly: Yeah, it's a great idea the box had.

Miley: Now remember, we can't tell anyone about this.

Lilly: Got it. Now let's get out of here.

The box pulses and the girls are brought back to the area where their group is.

Candace: Um, what are you two wearing?

Miley: They're... disguises. The box said we needed this for the mission.

Cyd: Well, why did it not choose the rest of us?

Lilly: Um, it said it... um, needed a good quality from us for this big task.

Isabella: Okay... well, we better get a move on. I'll activate the portal. (she runs to it, activates the coordinates, and it opens) Hurry up, everyone!

Everyone runs into the portal. At the same time, Sandy and Harley make it upstairs and they enter the room. They too notice the portal, look at each other confidently, knowing what to do, then they too jump in, with the portal closing afterwards.

Well, that chapter is done! It took me a little longer to finish this. I was out sick and I was overbooked on certain things! I can't guarantee whether I'll have the next chapter ready by the New Year, but I'll try! Until then, have a holly jolly Christmas!
