„Hey, isn't that the Ice-Queen with the legendary Delinquent?" asked a student.
"Yes… what are they doing together?"
"They don't seem to be friends…"
"What do you think? Our Ice-Queen would never have friends! She ignores everyone."
"But why is she walking beside Naruto Uzumaki?"
"Whatever, just ignore them."
"But she is so cool!"
Naruto frowned in annoyance. One more reason why he didn't go to school: Annoying students which do nothing but talk nonsense and shit. He may didn't want to die anymore but that didn't change anything about a lot of things. He turned his gaze to the little group of students which talked about Naruto and Vali.
The group got pale when they saw the cold purple eyes from Naruto. His eyes told them he would go after them if they didn't shut up. The group of students did the only logical thing in their minds: they took they feet and run away as fast as possible.
Naruto sighed and directed his gaze forward again. He saw how Vali looked over her shoulder at him. "What?"
She looked forward and Naruto ignored her reaction. He simply followed her and for the rest of the walk nothing happened, and no one dared to talk about those two while they were in hearing range.
When both were a bit farther away from the main building and thus from all the students, Vali asked, "What is her name?"
"I don't know," said Naruto. He knew the name of Satsuki, but he wasn't sure if he should simply tell the Ice-Queen something about Satsuki. Even when the Gremory Clan hid his presence so far and only because of that was he be able to live as long as he did… this still didn't mean that he would trust the Gremory Clan just like that.
He certainly was thankful now after knowing what it really meant to be an Uzumaki but other than that there was nothing more to it. They were still foreigners to him. Rias Gremory and her peerage had their motives to reincarnate him, he was sure of that. Even if Rias Gremory would know what Naruto knew, what he doubted since no one could possibly imagine what it really meant to be an Uzumaki… even then she was still a devil, and everybody knew that devils always did something to gain an advantage. They did nothing just because they were good natured. Devils weren't the opposites from angels for a reason. They were beings of lust, greed and other sins.
Vali stopped and narrowed her eyes at Naruto. She turned around and walked towards him with a dangerous glow in her eyes. He wasn't fazed by that look. When she was right in front of his face when she stopped. Her body almost touched his while she looked into his blank purple eyes.
"Do you always search the contact to someone when you don't get what you want? I expected more from the Ice-Queen," said Naruto while he simply walked around her. Vali was a bit perplexed about what just happened. She blinked a few times and turned around, looking at Naruto's back.
Naruto stopped when he saw how a barrier was put up around himself and Vali. He looked behind himself and saw an angry face of Vali.
"I hope you are ready to die, Naruto Uzumaki. I don't tolerate such disrespect!" A blue aura pulsated around her while she walked towards Naruto.
Naruto narrowed his eyes. "What? You now threaten me? What is your problem, Vali? That I couldn't answer your question since I don't know the answer? Should I lie to you or what?"
Vali stopped in her tracks while her silver eyes looked straight into his purple ones. Even when she was exuding such a strong killing intent, his look never wavered, and his body didn't react to her killing intent. She asked herself if he really was a newly reincarnated devil. She wasn't the white dragon empress for nothing. She was a very strong devil, and most couldn't stand her killing intent.
She kept looking into his purple eyes to try to find any form that proved that he lied.
…
She couldn't find any evidence in his eyes no matter how long she looked at him and how much killing intent she was creating. He simply stood his ground without twitching once or blinking. His purple blank eyes simply stared into her silver once and… nothing. He did nothing more than simply staying there.
She frowned and relaxed her body, the blue aura around herself vanished, the barrier shattered, and she walked past him. "I believe you for now but don't ever lie to me or the others. When I see it just once or recognize a sign that you aren't truthful towards us, I will beat you up not enough to kill you but enough to make you wish you would die," said Vali.
Naruto remained silent and simply followed her. It wasn't long before both went through the corridors of the old school building. He already prepared himself for the shitshow that would unfold in front of him in the next few minutes. They would try to get him to join their ranks or more specifically the Gremory Clan. He didn't know yet what strategy they would follow to get him to join them but that wouldn't happen. He never trusted someone else beside himself, and he sure as hell wouldn't bow to Rias even when she rescued him. He didn't even trust Intetsu fully to this day. Sure, she told him everything and revealed a lot of things about this world he was unaware of but that didn't change the fact that she held back important information and he had to ask twice before she revealed her true identity.
He had this feeling that Intetsu still wasn't telling him everything that had to do with her. He and Vali now stood in front of 2 wooden doors that led into the club room of the occult research club. He wanted to get this over with so he could walk to Sona to get some new uniforms.
Vali opened the doors and walked inside. Naruto followed her and looked around the room. The first thing that came to mind… he couldn't describe it. He now knew why all the boys loved this room so much. Not only because the most beautiful female students were here most of the time when breaktime was or after school but from the outlay and the decoration from the room as well.
A fucking shower with curtains within the room. How fucked up could someone be to shower here? Just what the fuck? He looked for a second at the shower, closing his eyes after 5 seconds and shaking his head. He knew that devils were beings of sin and lust but this… nah. He wouldn't understand something like this.
"Welcome, Naruto Uzumaki," said Rias with a welcoming voice. She had a charming smile on her face while she sat behind her desk while a few documents were in front of her. She was even wearing glasses right now. It was not common but when she did paperwork for the club, she wore them sometimes because she could concentrate better when she wore them.
Naruto said nothing while he looked at the other people in the room. Rias was sitting behind her desk, on the right couch was Koneko with a few sweets in her hands that she was eating. Beside her sat Stella Vermillion, who looked with an annoyed look at Naruto. He didn't care about the look and simply looked to the other couch that was in the room without reaction to the cold stare from Stella.
Vali had sat down on the other couch but beside her was the fourth queen of Kuoh beside Rias, Akeno and Stella. The girl was also a drop-dead gorgeous girl like the other 4 queens from the Kuoh Academy.
Her name was Mio Naruse, the Bishop from Rias Gremory. Mio was a beautiful young woman shorter than Naruto with long crimson hair reaching her waist and pink eyes. For someone her age, she had been noted for having a distinctly slender yet curvaceous figure with enormous, bouncy breasts and sizeable buttocks. She was wearing the female uniform of the Kuoh Academy at the moment. She was looking at Naruto also with this narrowed eyes like Stella but not so cold. Just like Stella, she was also a Tsundere to some extent who hated most man.
"Let's get this over with, I want to get home," said Naruto while he looked at Rias. "I thank you for rescuing me, but I have no intention of joining the Gremory Clan or your peerage."
"I already guessed you would say this, Naruto-san," said Rias while she took of her glasses of her nose and laid it down on the desk. She made a movement with her hand to shut up Stella who wanted to say something. She gave a harsh look to Stella, and she remained silent while she crossed her arms under her massive breasts and pushed them up a bit more. Naruto didn't look at Stella since he couldn't care less what the girls thought about him. He never cared what others thought about him and he wouldn't start now. He knew that the one person he held dear to him loved him and that was enough for him to have a reason to live and continue the legacy from his clan.
"I'm sorry for Stella. I don't know if you know it, but she doesn't like man in usual," said Rias with a apologetic look.
"I don't care if she hates me or not, Gremory. I simply wanted to thank you for your help and negotiate a future relationship. It doesn't matter what you try and say to me, I won't join your ranks. But I also know that without your help I would have been found out already and because of that I have a dept to pay off and because of that I am willing to work together for some time to the point where I have paid off my dept," said Naruto. He really didn't want to be here too long since the longer he would be here the more they could say and waste his time.
Vali looked at Naruto and could see his blank face. She never saw a man like Naruto to this day. Even the most fucked up man with the shittiest past had a reaction when he would be in a room with all the members from the occult research club, but Naruto had nothing of that sort. She watched him many times while he fought in the underground clubs or in the streets. It wasn't difficult to find him every time she had to watch him and report back to Rias after a few hours. It was even mostly entertaining to see how the fights went from Naruto being on the defensive and after a minute or two at max, he turned the fight around and dominated every opponent no matter who he fought.
"You put me in a difficult position, Naruto-san. You are officially my Knight, and it would be normal that you would join my peerage," said Rias. "When you would deny this route then you would normally be marked as a stray devil who betrayed his King, and you would be hunted by the devils and my clan."
"You know that wouldn't happen because your clan knows what happens when I really die," said Naruto. "Something really bad would come over your clan that even Satan himself couldn't stop so this discussion isn't worth continuing. Should we talk around the bush longer or should we talk about an arrangement that be both find acceptable?"
Rias narrowed her eyes, when she heard that piece of information. "Slowly, Naruto-san… don't overstep your boundaries. I may have reincarnated you but my members in this room here won't have a problem with killing you in the spot."
Stella had already held a large golden broadsword in her hands while she stood up. It appeared out of nowhere in her hand in a golden light just before she stood up. She looked at Naruto annoyed, with a cold stare that could murder people and with the intention to really kill him.
Naruto didn't react and simply looked into Rias eyes. "What do you mean that something bad would come over my clan when you would die?"
"Your brother didn't tell you that much?" asked Naruto while he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Your brother made a blood contract with my parents and thus with the Uzumaki clan. If your brother or any other member of your clan would break that contract, for example by killing me than the contract would be broken and what happens after… I simply say you don't want to know the specifics. If you really want to know then ask your brother. I won't reveal any secret from my clan."
"Sit down Stella," said Rias when she looked into Naruto's cold purple eyes. No bit of hesitation or fear even when he knew that he could be killed in an instant when he said the wrong thing and upset one of her members.
"What? You don't really consider this to be real?" asked Stella in disbelieve. "How can you believe that man just like that? I would say he simply lies to save his life." She looked back to Naruto with a hateful glare, which he didn't reacted on. He didn't even look at her. He simply stood there, with his arms crossed, watching Rias and no one else.
Vali raised her voice. "Your King said you should sit down, Stella." The atmosphere in the room changed for a brief seconds. Around stella appeared some fire before it vanished when Vali spoke up and a blue aura appeared around her. Stella looked at Vali for a few seconds before she scoffed, and the golden broadsword vanished, and she sat down again. She closed her eyes and looked away while she crossed her arms under her massive breasts again.
The blue aura around Vali vanished and she closed her eyes while she leaned back on the couch. "I can say one thing about Naruto Uzumaki… he won't lie or care what others think. He says what is on his mind. That is one of the things I can say for sure about him after I watched him in the past 2 years."
Naruto's guess was correct when he thought that someone from the Gremory Clan had to watch him over the past 2 years since he lived here. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to know what he always did.
"Why don't you join my peerage just for a cover up?" asked Rias. Her entire plans were thrown out of the window. She now knew that whatever she would try, Naruto Uzumaki wouldn't join her just like that. That he appeared today with Vali was also not planned. It was planned that he would come tomorrow but Vali didn't know that because she was absent. Her plan for Naruto had to be in a scenario where he would come to the school when everything was prepared but that wasn't the case this time.
"You may think that you would be my servant, but the Gremory Clan don't think or tread their peerage members as servants. All members of the peerage are family to us," explained Rias. She still wanted to try to join their ranks even when the chance was slim.
"Your actions speak otherwise. When Vermillion wanted to attack me, you gave her the command to sit down. Even Vali commented that she should follow the order from her King," said Naruto. "Maybe it's true but in one way or another they have to follow your orders, Gremory. I would never join a group of people where the dynamic was like this. The first thing I thought when I heard about the Evil Piece System: I was disgusted."
"Who do you think you are, huh? Show some respect for the person who saved you, Uzumaki!" said Mio Naruse with an angry voice. "You don't know her or any of us and who do you think you are to make assumptions about us or how we treat each other? We are only alive because she saved every single one of us."
Naruto looked into the pink eyes from Mio Naruse. "I don't care. I said what I think about the system. When you don't like it, not my problem." He looked to Rias again and continued, "Are we wasting more of our time, or can we finally begin the negotiations of our relationship in the future? I am tired and want to go home. When you don't have anything to say anymore then I will leave now since this is wasting time for all of us."
Rias sighed and crossed her arms under her massive breasts. "As you wish, Naruto Uzumaki. Let's begin the negotiations." She knew that she didn't have a chance right now to bring him to join her peerage and the Gremory Clan. But that didn't mean that in the future she would succeed and bring him to join their ranks.
Naruto walked out of a grocery store and looked through the things he bought. After the negotiations were over and he could finally leave, he remembered that he needed to buy some things from the supermarket.
He thought about the results of the negotiations. It wasn't completely what he hoped for, but it was decent enough for his liking. He would help them from time to time and they would help him in exchange and if the scenario really occurs, then they would protect him if some other race or factions tries to hunt him down.
What was really important to get across was that he wouldn't do work a new devil would do. He wouldn't hand out flyers like a little kid and he would not make visits to other humans who took services from devils.
He would simply do his own thing while he would not meet with the members of the peerage. That's right… he would meet with them twice a week to either learn from them about magic or to talk with them about other things or to help them in whatever the situation was.
Since he was now a devil, he could learn magic and when he thought about his dreams and the Chidori Satsuki displayed… he could only imagine what he could recreate from the elemental nations. Satsuki recreates the Chidori with holy lighting magic when he understood it correctly. If he could recreate a few things he dreamed about than that would be a big step forward in terms of strength.
When Naruto made sure that he had everything, he walked towards his apartment. It wasn't long before he used his superhuman speed as knight when he was sure no one was watching him. He simply disappeared in a flickering motion and appeared a short while later in front of his apartment.
When he was inside of his apartment, he simply put the groceries away, showered and went straight to bed even when it was still not night. He was simply tired from his intense workout physically and mentally from the bullshit he had to endure today.
Author Note: That would be all for this chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it, and we will see each other again in the next chapter. Stay strong everyone of you out there! I wish you all the best and be careful!
