Yes Brocktonites, it's real. Your friends aren't playing a prank on you and it's definitely not another cruel joke by Murphy (Brockton Bay and Murphy have had a somewhat special relationship over the last few years).
Empire 88, the local Neo-Nazis, have been disbanded. The white supremacist gang have officially lost all their capes to police confinement, death by stupidity/injuries and abandonment. Looks like Night and Fog weren't as devoted to the cause as Kaiser might have presumed.
Now, my sources were pretty tight lipped on this one but I managed to wrangle some info out of them. I would like to remind you all that my information is not foolproof(not always) and that you should check the PRT's official statement (whenever it comes out). Now that the warning is out of the way, let's dive into the heart of the matter.
Timeline:
2nd March:-
Around 6:00 P.M- An anonymous Thinker revealed the identity of every Empire88 cape to Armsmaster. This was thankfully not intercepted by any third party and only Armsmaster seemed to receive the info.
Around 8:00 P.M- Armsmaster verified the info with the help of Tattletale. For those who don't know anything about her, she is a new heroine in team @Undersiders under New Wave's Aegis. Yep, I like puns. What can you do about it?
We don't know the specifics of her power but she is a Thinker and a powerful one to boot(Warning: Don't start comparing her with Prophet and degrading her abilities. That would be like comparing any Brute with Alexandria or some blaster with Legend).
Anyways, she helped Armsmaster with the information and the results were satisfactory. I am not privy about the details regarding the anonymous Thinker but it is an open secret that the guy did it because he thought that Coil was already going to fuck things up. Why not give PRT an advantage?
I would like to note that this all happened very stealthily as Tattletale had previously pointed out that the local PRT branch was riddled with moles.
Around 10:00 P.M- A meeting ensues with a consensus of attacking the Neo-Nazis being reached. I am not privy to the details of the meeting- it would be absurd if I was, so don't go around asking me about that. I am not omniscient like Prophet (I know this is a running gag in most forums mentioning the Thinker but I am seriously starting to think it's true).
3rd March:-
Showing a surprising amount of patience and restraint, the Protectorate rooster and the Wards didn't jump on the chance. Instead they prepared for this, heavily. Apparently, the new bomb Tinker @Bakuda, who was captured by Legend from a failed bombing and strong armed into the Protectorate, was more than happy to test out her creations.
Despite- or maybe due to the flurry of announcements and earth shattering events taking place in the past few weeks, supervillain activity in the nation has been at an all time low. Therefore, this was the first opportunity for the bomber girl to show her genius to the world. She has a bit of an ego problem but with the weapons she has potential to make(and she is already making), I can't say I disagree with the genius part.
5:37 P.M- The wards minus Shadow Stalker and Kid Win; attack Night, Fog and Rune in their civilian identities, forgoing the BS unwritten rules. They met with varying success. While Rune was captured after a short fight, the fight with Fog and Night lasted for a long while before the villains managed to escape. They were last seen travelling towards Boston.
None of the Wards were injured past slight grazing. Though Night did receive a knife to the stomach courtesy of @Vista's frightening space control. It's easy to forget that cute little gremlin is a veteran cape.
Before someone blames the kids, you have to take into account that these villains were trying to escape. Capturing someone who is trying to escape is much harder than capturing someone intent on fighting. Also, before any of you idiots start criticising the PRT for violating the unwritten rules, you should deck yourself on the face.
Yes, the rules exist for a reason. No, they aren't sacred. The ones being attacked are literally Neo-Nazis. This is the same group whose main members have a man who enjoys manslaughter and has a kill count likely encroaching hundred or most likely already past that.
5:40 P.M- At nearly the same time, the Protectorate members attacked Kaiser(now revealed to be @AnderMax, the CEO of Medhall), Fenja, Menja and Hookwolf. Of course, the fights happened in three different locations. Fenja and Menja were subdued by Assault and Battery after a 15 minutes of drawn out fight despite the initial surprise element, with neither side willing to give up. Unfortunately, the Valkyrie twins were up against bad matches.
Miss Militia took out Kaiser quite easily and quickly. He didn't expect the sudden attack on his person. The nearby public thought that the famous heroine had suddenly turned villain- at least until Kaiser bared his metal fangs. The fight was quickly over as the leader of the Empire got subdued by the powerful duo of parahumans.
The most interesting fight however was Velocity and Armsmaster vs Hookwolf and Lung. In an unfortunate quirk of fate, the Dragon of Kyushu was strolling nearby when the Protectorate heroes attacked Hookwolf. The fight quickly took a weird turn as Armsmaster and the two villains entered a three way battle.
[Armsmaster vs Hookwolf vs Lung- A three battle between legends]- I don't understand how the fuck did the cameras not get destroyed.
Velocity was nowhere to be seen(to be fair, the cameras weren't attuned to the speedster's speed). In the midst of an epic battle in which the veteran hero matched the intensity of the two veteran villains, Velocity bombed Lung. Yep, you read that right.
These were the same bombs provided by @Bakuda. And they showed their frankly terrifying might. Lung was locked in a fucking time loop and half his body was turned into glass. The cape didn't die(fortunately or unfortunately) but he did require immediate medical attention after being released from the bomb's effects.
Hookwolf on the other hand, didn't stop fighting Armsmaster. After half an hour of continuous fighting which saw no end, the halberd wielding hero seemingly decided something. If you look carefully, you can see the hero's movements getting slower gradually into the fight and that he started to accumulate some injuries. I feel that this prompted the decision.
He activated some new function on his weapon which allowed him to injure the Empire's Wardog to fatal degrees. It was frankly cool as fuck in my humble opinion. Hookwolf was cut into four different pieces for fuck's sake. Tell me these scenes wouldn't get your blood pumping- especially when Armsmaster said, "To think you forced me to use this."

Even after this, Hookwolf didn't admit defeat or surrender. With just one part(out of four) of his body being functional(and regenerating), he instead increased his efforts to kill Armsy. He was most likely trying to die in a blaze of glory. This prompted the hero to use the bombs on Hookwolf. Unlike Lung, Hookwolf didn't survive the onslaught. His already pitiful state(keep in mind that he was still highly dangerous) combined with the power of those bombs, meant that he died immediately after. I believe every Broctonite would be happy to hear that.
Dauntless was meanwhile searching for the other Neo-Nazis as Miss Militia, Battery and Assault joined him in the search immediately after their own battles. This team of heroes culled a few riots started by Empire mooks before arresting them. Crusader and Alabaster fell in quick succession after meeting the force of heroes.
6:16 P.M- The PRT transport containing Shadow Stalker who was scheduled for juvie(my sources are very tight-lipped about the exact reasons), was attacked by Kreig, Othala, Stormtiger, Victor and Cricket.
From what I can gather, the Protectorate was very secretive about their attack plans but the Empire somehow(due to the moles who are obviously there) got a whiff about Shadow Stalker. They were likely trying to make an example out of her to raise morale after Prophet's ominous announcements. They even sent their heavy hitters, fully prepared to ward off(hehe, get it?) even the Protectorate to do this.
Unfortunately, they didn't expect a young heroine with a vicious streak mile long. @Weaver ambushed the Empire capes with a biblical plague of creepy crawlies. In under 5 seconds, the area was swimming in millions of insects. If you see the video, you are likely going to either vomit or piss yourself from terror. I myself dry heaved and I have seen some terrible things.
Stormtiger and Cricket put up a token resistance but were quickly taken down by the swarm of bugs. Victor and Othala lasted a few moments before succumbing to the poison some of the insects carried. The doctors aren't completely sure but they are most likely never going to use their legs again. Only someone on the level of Panacea could do that and I am going to take a guess that the young healer isn't going to heal someone from the gang that murdered her aunt in her own home.
Surprisingly, Kreig was the one who put up the most resistance. As if in response to this, he was the one meted out the most punishments. The poor man had his legs being swallowed by a swarm of locusts while his manly bits were chewed out by ants…lots of ants. I would not recommend hearing his screams even through the shitty audio from CCTV. His screams are the stuff of nightmares.
[Weaver vs E88] The video quality isn't the best you can find but it is viewable. It really looks like one of the Aleph Superhero movies but then again, that's the reality of our world, isn't it?
Well, after this fight, Weaver appeared into the view of the camera for the first time. The first thing I would like to say to @Weaver- Girl, please get a fashion designer to help you. Your outfit reeks of edginess. It wouldn't help your PR much, if that is the suit you keep on dawning.
Anyways, she helped the injured officials inside the truck firstly by applying some first aid.
Now, at this point you must be thinking- it's over, right? Why are you boring us with these details, Bagrat? Well, what happened afterwards will blow your mind.
Weaver got Shadow Stalker out of the van and delivered her some first aid as well. There was some underlying tension that can be perceived from the video even if the audio quality is shit. Still, the newly crowned independent hero helped the former ward out. After that, some insults were traded back and forth with Weaver starting them- most likely some bad feelings from their personal lives(low chance) or the new Cape having a grudge against Shadow.
Now, the main thing is that at one point Weaver said something that managed to shock Stalker to the core, only for the former Ward to attack the new heroine with the intensity of a wounded tiger. The resulting fight was nail-biting even behind a computer.
[Weaver vs Shadow Stalker] - This one has better video quality than the rest as it was filmed by some of the bystanders rather than the CCTV.
Weaver's best advantage- her stealth failed due to being in close range of Stalker. Also, Stalker's powers helped her escape Weaver's bug attacks masterfully. A few minutes of nail biting combat later, the fight was settled by Weaver tricking Shadow and delivering a mean left hook on Stalker's jaw. I am sure that rattled some teeth. I guess that any chance of Weaver joining the wards is shot to hell and barbequed in its lava.
Welp. That's everything for now. You can add things in the thread if I missed something. Also, remember that it's an NSFW thread for a reason. The videos are fucking gruesome and disgusting (in Weaver's case). Proceed at your own risk. Before anyone asks- Yes, there were casualties.
I shouldn't say this but a casualty of only 3 civilians and 18 injured is low for fights of these standards. Even these happened due to freaking Lung- everyone knows what the rage Dragon can do. Kyushu is a witness to the wrath of the mad Dragon.
Anyways, I'll not be stretching this already long post anymore. Just remember to keep a bit civil. This isn't the [Prophet's den of debauchery].

@Alizaoh, while I am all for preaching rights and stuff, this is not the time. Seriously, this is not the time. Either you don't live in Brockton Bay or a Nazi sympathesier(which your posts are making clear you are not) to think that E88 deserve anything less than that. Hookwolf's death was a last measure as Armsmaster was on his last legs. And if I have to choose the life of a hero or villain, my choice will always be clear.
Still, you are right about one thing. @Cordiomal, stop praising a young parahuman's violent and possibly sadistic tendencies.
While I am all for praising the new heroine for her stand against the Empire(despite not knowing about the Protectorate's operation), Weaver needs therapy instead of being encouraged to maim people.

@MagiMari, We were busy holding off Oni Lee, the Merchants and the other independent villains. Despite what you all might be under the illusion of, this mission wasn't easy. It took all of New Wave plus the Undersiders to hold off the other villainous capes from causing a ruckus. Even then, somehow Lung managed to slip under the radar.
While I don't like to brag usually, I suppose this is a special occasion- we are the reason the operation went off without a hitch(mostly). Otherwise, it wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it actually did. Think about how much damage the Merchants and god forbid Oni Lee, could have caused to this operation?

Secondly, how in the fucking nine hells is everyone not discussing about the elephant in the room- namely the fact that Shadow Stalker, former ward scheduled for juvie attacked an independent hero over a verbal spat?
Even if the exchange was extremely heated, it doesn't excuse Stalker attacking the girl who saved her fucking life! And from what the video tells me, the exchange was fucking lethal. Stalker was aiming for @Weaver's chest multiple times. Her initial attack was a punch to Weaver's goddamn throat. Seriously, what the fuck?

I am suddenly both very glad and very sad to have left BB two days ago with my wife. Glad because the power vacuum at the moment, doesn't bode good things for BB- it never does. I remember the time when Marquis was arrested and the time S9 drove the Teeth out. The resulting gang wars were hell for the public.

Staring at her phone, she scowled. Emma didn't hold any ill will against the new Cape. She was a predator- an Alpha Predator with how she dismantled some of the most powerful capes in the city so easily.
And she knew that Sophia could be a bitch sometim- …okay, she was a bitch most of the time. And so was she. Emma knew that being a Queen Bitch was practically a requirement for being a predator. Look at Weaver for example.
She disabled some villains for their whole lives while ruthlessly shriveling up the Nazi asshole's pathetic ballsack.
What she was angry at was Sophia, Taylor, Prophet and… herself. Angry at Sophia for being caught and worrying her. Angry at Taylor for being a pain in the ass and proving that she was a prey through and through even though Emma tried to prove that wrong. She did her best to make Taylor a predator like her- so that they could be friends again but no, the pathetic piece of shit had to deny her the opportunity. Angry at that damn Prophet for making her life hell out of nowhere.
And finally angry at herself- angry for being such a coward that she didn't dare to go back to school for the fear of reprisal. She didn't want to go back to see her image being destroyed. She was pathetic and powerless even now, wasn't she?
Even now, her life wasn't her own- beings like Prophet controlled her life whatever she did. It was like she was back at the alley once again. She shivered at the memory. Was this going to be the story of her life?

Author's note: Sorry for the delay. I was reading a long quest and got quite immersed in the story. I was able to write the chap only after finishing that quest.
Before someone asks why I compacted something that could be a whole fucking arc into a single chapter- let me tell you why.
This quest is neither character driven (which means we aren't here to see the ups or downs of a character) nor plot driven(which means that the story isn't there to serve a grand purpose). This story is instead based on the fact that QQers want to find entertainment in the chaos of revealing meta-knowledge to the locals. That's why making a whole arc over some event is not in the cards.
There will be one more chapter tending to the Cauldron business and then the awaited PHO chapter.
