Zelda felt her breath hitch, as the journey to try and escape the infested castle continued. Bodies of dead Yiga members, soldiers and innocent castle hands littered the floors of the palace and it had made her stomach sick. Link had a death grip on her arm, as Impa and her fellow guards had guarded them. The King had grabbed his personal weapon, one that stood bigger than both Link and Zelda, which Rhoam wielded as if it was a simple tree branch.

Her father was well trained with swords and claymores, and she was somewhat shocked when her Father pulled out a claymore instead of a sword, for efficiency and quickness. But her Father always told her, 'a warrior defines a weapon, not the other way around.'

Mipha, Urbosa and Daruk were lagged behind them, watching the others backs as they traversed their way through Hyrule Castle. Purah and Robbie had been in between everyone, alongside with Zelda. Link had ordered her to keep hold of Zelda's wrist to avoid falling behind.

She felt the unsettling feeling of worrying. Revali was suppose to be back by now, and Everett still was no where in sight. She could feel the strands of her neck stand as fear slowly crept in.

"We should be nearing the underground tunnel." Impa announced, as a collective agreement had been met by the party. The underground entrance was used for an emergency exit for situations like the one they were in now. It was a false bookshelf, disguised by putting real books on it, the trick was it was movable and there was a tunnel entrance behind it.

"Here." The king had grunted out, pointing his claymore at the bookshelf. It was ordinary, it didn't seem out of place until someone did more investigating.

Rhoam stepped up, before he practically threw the false bookshelf to the side, revealing the tunnel. Link had reclaimed his position at the front, leading the way through the dark, creepy tunnel. Zelda hadn't realized how huge the tunnel was, it was big enough for them to move around in, and it had seemed endless from her perspective.

"I haven't used this tunnel before," Mipha said, as they continued to stare.

"I didn't even know the castle had a tunnel." The Goron had seemed oblivious that the castle would have a backup plan if they couldn't escape from the gates.

"It certainly doesn't seem...attire friendly." Urbosa said, sighing. She'd sure have to get dirty this time, something Urbosa hated doing.

"We have no choice," Rhoam said, his voice drowned everyone's out even by talking normally. "If Revali and Everett are out there, we must get to them. This tunnel will lead right into the square of castle town."

Rhoam was the first to journey into the tunnel, with the rest of the group behind him. Zelda always knew her Father was one to charge head first into battle if needed, and he was no stranger to leader a rebellion. The tunnel was dark as they traveled through it, their footsteps echoed off of the close walls of the narrow passageway.

Part of her hoped that Revali and Everett were okay, the Rito had gone out looking for the warrior after Rhoam had given him a direct order. Revali, obviously being the fastest of them had swooped through one of the broken castle windows and had been off to find him. Just as she had began to clear her thoughts, the ground above them shook of distant explosions. Dirt had fallen from above them, coating them in some of the soil.

"Could that be Revali?" Impa questioned, wiping some of the dirt that had landed on her.

"Maybe," Urbosa answered, taking a root off of her hair. "Might be the cannons."

"We must keep moving." King Rhoam urged, before he began to quickly move through the tunnel. The group had followed, before another distant explosion above them that seemed closer had erupted, shaking the ground above them once again. It had motivated them to move faster towards the exit of the passage. "Almost there." Rhoam added on. The exit was a small ladder that led to a tiny escape hole that had been covered by a metal plate.

"Well, luckily it's size adequate." Daruk said with a smirk. "Any bigger, and this guy would have to find another way."

Rhoam had climbed up the visible aged ladder, hearing the groaning and creeping when his weight fully set on it. He had reached up, and used some strength to push the metal to the side, the sunlight had began to deep in through the crack as it grew wider from her father's strength.

He finally managed to open the hole wide enough to fit himself through it, and push the circled plate out of the way. Zelda herself went first, followed by Purah, then the champions and Impa and her two foot soliders. Zelda looked around her before the air almost left her body.

Castle Town had been riddled with dead civilians and Yiga clan members. Parts of debris had fallen from some buildings. It had almost looked like a tornado had drove through the settlement. She seen her father walked foward, staring at the scene. She saw something flicker in his eyes, most likely the feeling of guilt. Her Father was a strict king, but she knew deep down that he had a warm heart despite everything. She seen his free hand curl, before he looked towards the sky.

"The Yiga clan will pay, for what they have done." Her father said darkly, she wanted to walk next to him but she was scared that he'd lash out of anger and guilt. Just as she began to take a step, another explosion had been head heard the distance coming from Hyrule Field.

Rhoam had began to jog his way towards the explosion with the rest of them following. They rounded the corner of the gate and had dropped their jaw when the sight.

The field had been littered with dead monsters, some of them mutilated. From bokoblins, to moblins and lizalofs. Multiple soliders had been fighting and fending off monsters in the distance, and Zelda could clearly see Revali in the air swooping down and expertly shooting arrows into the angry creatures.

Revali must've noticed the group running towards the carnage, and had redirected his flight towards them. He had aggressively landed in front of them, before bowing towards her father. His appearance was now disheveled from the neat look he had when she last saw him. Dirt smudged on his feathers and an overall tired and battle determinate look.

"You guys took your time getting here." He chastised.

Impa stepped up. "Sorry we had to protect the Princess from danger and not mindlessly killing beasts."

"Enough." Rhoam interjected, silencing this bickering. Revali scoffed, looking away clearly annoyed. Impa shook her head. Rhoam had faced the Rito. "Where is Everett?"

Revali scoffed once again at mention of Everett. He pointed his feather to his right, and the group had faced in that direction. In the distant, was Everett fighting...a lynel? Just as they went to aid him in his battle, a group of monsters had took notice of them. Rhoam had raised his large claymore, and took a battle stance.

"Defend yourselves!" He barked out, before he swung near the nearest monster. His weapon slashed a bokoblin in the neck, nearly decapitating it. He turned around to where Link had cut down a lizalofs, and roughly pulled him to the side. "Protect my daughter. Do not let harm come to her, Sir Link."

He had went back to battling a Moblin, which he was holding his own. Impa had took held of Zelda's wrist gently, gaining her attention. "I will get Purah and Robbie somewhere safe. Then I'll return straight here to fight alongside you and Link."

"Princess," Link had quickly latched onto her worst, and began to pull her away from Impa who had ran in the opposite direction. She redirected her attention to ahead of them, Link had began to swing the sword expertly around her cutting monsters out of the way.

He'd block a blow, before cutting them down lightning fast. He grabbed her wrist again, and had begun to quickly move towards where Everett had been fending off a lynel. She had basically been dragged, her newly shined boots had been dirty and missed from almost tripping on the ground. A Moblin had stepped in the way of Everett, whom had only been about thirty feet from there, still oblivious to their presence.

Link had let go of her wrist, dashing towards the tall and lanky creature. The club in it's hand was as big as her and Link, and he violently swung the weapon at Link. Link had quickly jumped back, before slashing at its short stubby legs. He cut diagonally, making the monsters roar in pain.

Another Moblin had appeared from out of nowhere, swinging near Zelda's head. She ducked it, yelling in fear that her head would turn to mush. The hard grass had broken her fall, and she had crawled away.

Link quickly blocked a blow from the Moblin, before quickly distracting it with a strike to the torso. He dashed towards her, and had blocked the oncoming blow to protect Zelda.

The other Moblin had risen, and struck at her. The blow had been barely blocked by Link, who quickly struck back with a force that sent the Moblin stumbling backwards. Link furiously traded blows with the other Moblin, successfully knocking it's sword out of its hand.

Zelda stood up, slowly backing away from the battle before she heard a thunderous step. The sound of the step hitting the ground had startled her, making her quickly spin on her heel. Two bokoblins had surrounded her, circling her with a deadly look.

The monsters had tightly gripped their clubs, making weird noises that only bokoblins would make. She hadn't realized how they snuck up on her.

Link had looked back, widening his eyes. Monsters had surrounded the Princess. He quickly began to make his way to the Princess, but was immediately stopped as he barely dodged the swing from the club of the Moblin he had forgotten about.

He had swung at the Moblin, nearly missing its toros, but it did little to nothing when the Moblin swung its club at him again. He rolled out of the way, hearing the impact of the club hitting the ground. He looked towards the Princess, as the bokoblins had begun to close in on her.

Zelda had felt them began to get closer, before the one she was facing had began to run with its club high above his head ready to turn her to paste. Suddenly, a weird looking sword had been lodged into it's head, she watched the bokoblin's arm go limp, and it's entire body slump forward before she turned to see it's killer.

Everett had looked at it's lifeless body on the ground, before roughly pulling the lynel shaped sword from the monster's head. The other bokoblin had lying down dead also, and she watched Link effortlessly finish off the Moblins before rushing over to them.

"Well, you two know how to show up to a party fashionably late." Everett teased with a small tired smile, his clothes had been torn and soaked with some of his blood. Dirt had covered his bulky arms and he had been sweating profusely which had caused his braids to become frizzle and somewhat loose.

"Sorry we left you and Revali out here to fend for yourself." Zelda said, feeling somewhat guilty. "The castle had been infiltrated with Yiga, one of them almost got me! Hadn't Impa been there..."

"Don't," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "I'm surprised you guys didn't get ambushed on your way out. "It was out of nowhere, me and Revali have barely been surviving before the soldiers and you all had came." He put his hands on his hips, before taking a deep breath "Where is everyone else?"

"They're here." Link said, with a nod. "Everyone is currently fighting on the battlefield."

Everett nodded, picking the lynel sword from the ground he had dropped, in his other hand had been a regular knight sword. "Then it's time to finish this."

Another small hoard had been approaching them, another lynel had been leading it. Zelda heard footsteps behind, and had looked over her shoulder to see Impa approaching. The sheikah woman had moved with ease as she stopped just next to Zelda, with a nod.

Just then, lightning had struck down onto the mob of monsters, throwing them in different directions. Zelda looked to her left, seeing Urbosa with her fingers high in the air. She looked towards them, before nodding.

Everett, Link and Impa had began to dash towards the stunned lynel, who had been too busy recovering with its fist on the ground. Impa had slashed it's forearm, making it reel back in pain. Link went lose, dragging the master sword alongside its torso, delivering another blow to it. Everett had launched his fist at the direction of its face, which had lowered by the blow. He felt his fist connect to the lynel's hard face, certainly feeling on of it's bone in it's face crack.

Mipha came swinging her trident out of nowhere, letting the weapon slash alongside the lynel's legs. Daruk had swung his gigantic boulder breaker, connecting hardly with the lynel's face which did major damage, knocking it's tooth out. Another flurry of lightning rained down on the monsters, before bomb arrows had engulfed it courtesy of Urbosa and Revali.

Everett had roughly grabbed it's mane, before slamming its head into the ground. The lynel tried to overpower him, but was shot down when Everett forced his head to the ground again violently. Rhoam raised the large sword over his head, before bringing it down it down onto the lynel's head and into it's brain.

The lynel had squirmed before it had stopped moving all together, and Rhoam had quickly pulled the sword from its head before flinging the blood to he ground. They all looked around them, seeing soldiers wandering around or tending to injuries ones on the ground.

The bodies had littered Hyrule field, making Everett sick to his stomach. He's been killing things, and people for months now. Why hadn't he gotten use to it? He shook the thoughts, heading towards where everyone had grouped up.

"Is everyone all right?" Zelda asked concerned with everyone's well being. Everyone had been dirtied from the battle, including Rhoam whose crystal white beard had been powered with dirt.

"We are as well as we all can be." Urbosa said, catching her breath looking around the surrounded area. "Where are all the survivors?"

"In a military camp near the Lost Woods," Revali answered quickly, dusting himself off. "They needed to be transported when the monsters appeared out of nowhere."

"And the Yiga that infiltrated Castle Town?" Rhoam asked.

"Dead." Everett answered. "I made sure of that."

"I imagine some of us need rest, before we return to our duties." Link said, wiping a bead of sweat off of his brow.

"I agree," Rhoam said, before turning to Zelda. "Given everything that's transpired, I will allow you to fiddle with sheikah technology if we are to fight off more mobs like this one."

Zelda's face lit up, not believing what she had been hearing. Her father is allowing her to study with the Sheikah again? Brilliant!"

"Under one condition," of course. "You will visit the three goddesses statues throughout the land in order to unlock your powers. This is a privilege, you will earn to keep it that way."

"Yes Father." She gleamed.

Rhoam turned his attention onto the champions. "I assume you all have duties in your homelands yes?"

"We do," Mipha quietly answered. "But your highness, what about the ceremony?"

"It will have to wait for another day, Princess." Rhoam answered, before sighing tiredly. "The ceremony will take place in a week. Until then, get much needed rest. I must prepare to fix what damage the Yiga have done to the village."
