A/n: Hello guys! Psychojack here with another input for the one and only Mineta the Mayhem. Loads are coming at you with recent developments in one night. Mineta has recently encountered an unforeseen threat, one that had taken a preemptive strike against him, Moe and Papito as they rode to Musutafu. At the same time Narcissia, possessing the body of Denki, is now within the close vicinity of Eri. What other events will take place during this long night? Keep reading to find out!
CREAK
The wooden door creaked as Jiro opened the door, revealing the third year Nejire, as well as Eri, who appeared with a beaming smile on her face.
Nejire smiled a warm smile. "Jiro! Denki! Hope we didn't arrive too late! This sweet little thing has been looking forward all day to see you guys." Nejire said warmly, as Eri walked towards them.
"H-hello." Eri said with a small smile. Though getting used to expressing yourself more and more, she was still a little girl and thus prone to bouts of unsure shyness from time to time.
Jiro smiled at her. "Hey Eri, it's good to see you?
A certain raven haired class rep overlooked the interaction. It was Momo, who smiled upon seeing Eri. It was good to see the girl in good spirits. However, her main focus was on the watermelon stacked third year.
'Target sighted…now would be a perfect opportunity to make my move.' Momo thought with a rosy blush that appeared on her face.
'I'm sure Minoru would appreciate this. Just have to sneak her away from the others.' Momo thought conspiratorially, with a mild smirk as the upstanding student slowly walked down the stairs, biding her time.
Kirishima couldn't help but bend down. An excited grin appeared on his good natured face.."Hey, hey, hey! It's Eri!"
Sero gave her a fist bump, one that made Eri giggle and reciprocate in a kid-like fashion.
Ochaco, who had originally been owing to her wounds, could be seen gushing over Eri's cuteness. It was if she completely rejuvenated from seeing the cute girl before her. She still had a prevalent swell on her head, but appeared. "Oh! She's so cute!"
Eri looked behind Jiro and the others, who had gathered near her destination. They all wanted to show their support and admittedly were still far from asleep themselves. Eri's eyes held a spark in them as she spoke. "Is Deku here?"
Jiro sighed. "Unfortunately not tonight, he had to pick up something from his place so it will just be us for the moment. But Denki and I will be sure to keep you some company. I could play you some music in my room, if you'd like."
Nejire sent them a thankful smile. "What a wonderful idea. I'm sure that she'll love that, won't you sweetie?"
Eri was mildly disappointed that Deku wouldn't be able to spend time with her, however she's still beaming from the fact that she will be able to spend some time with the other class 1A students, who welcomed her with open arms before.
Eri nodded before her eyes sparkled in realization. "Oh! I almost forgot, there was something I wanted to show Deku when I came here."
Nejire giggled as she spoke, adding to the conversation. "She's been wanting to show him this toy she recently got. She's been holding her excitement all day! I'm sure Deku would be happy to hear about it since he's quite the collector himself."
Eri nodded with enthusiasm. "Well, if Deku isn't here, then can I show…Minoru?"
Jiro's smiling face cracked into a dark expression. The poor rocker girl was already sick with dealing with Mineta's family as well as the oldest sibling of said family, who appeared to be the bane of her existence for the moment.
"You mean Mineta? Why the he-?!" Jiro asked with anger before stopping her boiling rage. She didn't want to swear in front of Eri. Shouji, Ojiro, Koda and Satou comically edged themselves away from the clearly pissed musician. Nejire and Eri didn't even notice her less than subtle rage, due to their innocent and currently enthusiastic mood.
Kirishima, who was sweating from the dark aura that surrounded Jiro, whispered to Iida. "You think she's mad?"
Iida sighed, pressing his glasses against his face. "Well I suppose with our visit at his families' home, Jiro might be still sore from the trauma she may have endured there."
Kirishima gazed at Jiro in sympathy. "Poor girl, that dodgeball game sure took its toll on her."
Iida nodded with a small grimace on his usually dutiful face, having remembered the pain that such an otherwise innocent game did to his ribs. "The game alone would crack the wills of even the most sporty participants of the game. If you can even call it that. It was more of a beat down than anything…"
Jiro continued, having not heard the background chatter. "I mean, why is that?" Jiro asked in curiosity. For as long as she knew Eri, she had never known the silver haired girl to even speak to Mineta other than the usual greeting. The mere thought of the class pervert anywhere near Eri made her spine crawl.
"There's that name again…Mineta." 'Denki' analyzed internally, a narrowed gaze on his face.
From up the stairs on the second floor, Tsuyu was walking down towards the lobby. Her eyes focused on the back of 'Denki's' head, clearly distracted by the sudden chill that stemmed from his being mere seconds ago. Though the frog girl would want to pay attention to Eri, her instincts for some reason were running wild, demanding all focus. The closer she got, the more she noticed a specific odd smell that permeated in his direction. From the moment her eyes made contact with 'Denki', she caught a whiff of this odd copper-like smell. Slowly she stalked her away towards Denki, passing by each student of her class.
'I need to ask Denki what's wrong. It's a little weird but…I need to get closer.'
Eri dug behind her and cutely pulled out the figurine. There, before everyone in attendance, with Jiro and 'Denki' at the front, was a figurine of a small sized hero. He possessed three spheres on his head. Wielding a pole staff, and donned in small but compact armor was Minoru Mineta, in his Mayhem garb. Due to the lack of details about Mayhem as a result of the cover up, many details such as his face and name were still shrouded, preventing anyone from noticing his true identity, unless you knew him personally. The figurine out of the box, but tenderly cared for by Eri's gentle hands.
Eri smiled with a rosy expression on her brightening face. "Mirio gave this figurine to me. He said it was a special figurine."
Jiro stood agape at the figurine. From its majestically durable plastic construction, combined with its well designed brush work and paint work that only a professional figurine maker would instill, it was clear as day what this was. This was a figurine of Minoru Mineta, a sole indicator that his one time appearance on the news somehow still made it to the eyes and ears of hero fandoms everywhere. Enough for a commission of his likeness to be made as an official addition to the ever growing list of high ranking and notable heroes.
Class 1A stood dumbfounded. The boys hazed with wide dinner plate sized eyes as their irises drilled into the plastic carried so carefully by the lovable little girl.
"He…he has a figurine?!" Jiro said with astonishment. Even she, a girl who didn't really get into collecting figurines as a hobby, was fully aware of the meaning behind this. It meant that though the public at large was unaware of the hero known as Mayhem, the inner circles of hero society were already well aware of an unknown hero with the same look as her perverted lecherous classmate.
The boys stood with their jaws dropped to the floor.
Tsuyu's neck immediately snapped towards the figurine. An audible snap could be heard as she turned her head rapidly.
"A…a figurine?!" The frog girl said in no small amount of shock. For someone to have a figurine was no small feat among hero circles. That was something mostly for the most known among pro heroes. A student having one was just unheard of.
Momo paused as well, turning her head towards the action figure. Her eyes sparkled.
'Minoru has a figurine?! My goodness! Wait until he sees this. It even has his chubby cheeks!' Momo thought, finding the figurine cute.
'It means his contributions against Harukaze were recognized, even despite attempts to put a gag order on the whole situation.' Momo analyzed with a smile, having a swell of pride in the boy she pined.
Her eyes held a fire that reflected her resolve.
'A reward is in order for this occasion. Don't worry Minoru, I'll be sure to bring Nejire now. Even if I have to hogtie her!'
"You have got to be kidding me?!" Satou said, as he clapped his forehead with his left hand.
Aoyama was stunned beyond relief. The stylish blonde was lost for words.
"I…I think I'm going to faint…"
Within a split second, the ever bright and attention seeking laser shooter placed the back of his palm on his forehead and collapsed onto the floor in an overly dramatic Shakespearean manner. It was a display befitting the most renowned of practiced theater performances, made only natural by the vibrant boy.
Iida immediately gripped Aoyama. "Aoyama, speak to me! Get up! Don't go into the light!"
Aoyama wheezed. "No…there is no light…there's only fire…I don't understand…"
Aoyama's muscles made him stiffen in place before he fell unconscious in Iida's arms.
Iida looked upwards to the ceiling. He bellowed to the heavens in despair. "Noooooo!"
Bakugo gripped his ears in frustration. "Shut it, candy legs!" The bomber's eyes analyzed the three spheres on the figurine's head. There was no denying the obvious, but his pride, his ego, took a massive dive into an endless wellspring of insecurity and shame. "No way! An actual figurine?! The midget?!"
A large amount of smoke could be seen stemming from his nostrils to his arms. His eyes were white with untold fury and frustration at being left in the proverbial dust of hero notoriety.
Bakugo growled in growing rage. "What the fu-"
"Language!" Nejire chided before giggling. The airheaded third year didn't see anything completely odd about their reactions, simply taking it as the cumulative passion of the class instead of the overwhelming pit of despair, envy and sheer shock.
Tokoyami's sentient quirk, Dark Shadow, was laughing. "Oh wow! None of you guys ever got a figurine, how's that for irony!"
Tokoyami sweatdropped. "Neither do we. This is…a very strange world we've stepped into…"
Iida stared with an imperceptible gaze. His glasses glared, preventing his eyes from being seen. "It's a growing sign of the apocalypse that approaches…how else do you explain it?!"
Kirishima grabbed Iida and shook him. "Get it together man!"
Iida mumbled. "F-forgive me…"
Toru almost sprinted away. "No fair! It's a world I refuse to accept! That's it, I'm going out in the buff and becoming a staff member of a nudist beach!" Ojiro had to hold her back from having her own mental breakdown, using his tail to keep the pajama-clad invisible girl in place.
"C'mon Toru! It's probably a person who simply looks like him!" Ojiro said before looking at the figurine himself. His face immediately scrunched, his true feelings contradicted the facade he tried to put on for Toru.
'Who am I kidding?! Who else could it be?! Those three spheres are a dead giveaway.' Ojiro thought to himself as he felt the sting of overwhelming envy course through his veins.
Shouji's eyes were slightly widened by the figurine. It glistened in the lighting provided by the lights that hovered above them in the ceiling.
"I will admit this is quite the surprise but I am proud of him for making it that far." The eight-limbed boy mumbled to himself. Shouji did work with Mineta during the sports festival, and thus knew that he was fully capable of pulling off some well thought out stratagems in regards to team efforts. Seeing Mineta on a figurine was something that made him proud as his friend and classmate. However, under that pride in his friend was also a secret urge to lock himself in his room and rethink his whole life.
'Lucky' Shouji thought with a sagging body language.
Ochaco seemed blue in the face. Her thoughts were sporadic as a result of the exposure to this lone action figure.
'If Deku were here, then I know he would be ecstatic to see this. But only pros usually get their own figurines. Minoru left us in the dust…completely…' Ochaco surmised, her eyes being completely white as she tried to reboot her own mind. Her body slouched over with her hands dangling lamely towards the ground as she tried to come to terms with what this figurine would mean for her future as a heroine.
As for Sero, the tape user collapsed onto his knees. He sulked. "First he saved me from Midnight, now he got a figurine…the competition is too fierce. At this rate I'll have to become a barista just like my mom…"
Koda tapped his friend in a consoling manner. There were no words he could say that would make his friend feel better.
Jiro was handed the figurine by Eri who had a closed eye smile that would light the heavens, unknowingly providing enough mental torture to Jiro that the taller girl was shaking with a wide eyed expression on her face. Jiro acted as if the plastic burned her, almost dropping it by accident in her subconscious need to avoid anything related to Minoru. Jiro wound up literally collapsing on her back, with the figurine facing her as she gripped it, holding it upwards as far away from her person as possible. The figurine appeared to gaze at her like one would an insect, with an ominous shadow brought on by the lights emanating from the dorm ceiling. The other students looked on with bewildered stares, completely baffled by the existence of this physical manifestation of madness.
"No…no way…" Jiro squeaked as she stared at the figurine with a look of disbelief and hopelessness.
A small figure bearing a red sphere on his scalp peeked from a corner of the staircase, seeing the commotion. It was Minimu. The love struck baby noticed the girl he sought after. Seeing the love of his life laying there with her short rocker haircut and her cute black boots made his heart swoon. With a gummy smile, the baby approached, hoping to finally reach the reason for his long journey here away from home.
To tame the heart of the woman that he sought as his future bride.
Eri, oblivious to the fact that she was worsening Jiro's mental health, said "Mirio told me that to have a figurine means you're a real hero. Since Minoru has one then that means he's a real hero right? That's so cool!" Eri's cute face made Jiro scrunch her own, as if she just swallowed a horrible tasting meal. The innocent child was also oblivious to the approaching infant that stalked towards the musician before her.
Nejire smiled with closed eyes. Upon seeing Jiro's dramatic reaction, the curious third year could not fathom the idea that the musician was currently suffering. "She must really like it!" Nejire said, clueless to the mental strain that the poor goth was experiencing.
'Denki', distracted by the exposure to the figurine, looked at its garb and body features. 'They made a figurine of the shorty of this class? Seriously? They'll make a figurine of anyone nowadays, but for a student to get one means he's an exceptional prodigy. Must be quite an overachiever if he made it to that point. Probably to make up for his height. That would explain why he's not in the dorm, and why this girl wants to see him and that Deku kid. From what I can gather, he and this Deku must be among the best of this class. I'll be sure to be careful if I see him. This 'Denki' must be the underachiever of their duo.'
What the imposter didn't know was that though Deku was ranked 4th in his midterms, Mineta was in fact the 9th ranked student of class 1A, and thus was somewhere in the middle in terms of grade rankings.
'This will be a good time to get the girl to a secluded room and take her body from there.' 'Denki' thought, slowly shuffling past the crowding class 1A students. He felt his hand sporadically twitch.
'The boy is resisting?! How?!'
'Denki's' lips clenched his teeth. His true voice squealed through, despite being possessed. "M-Mineta has a damn figurine too? And…Jiro likes it…" The blonde said with a hushed strained voice. His pupils appeared to consistently dilate and return to normal, shifting from large to small as Denki steadily regained his mind.
'This body is compromised by his personal feelings about that stupid toy. Jealousy…I need to leave quickly.'
'Denki' tried to make eye contact with Eri. The other taller classmates obscured his view of the small girl.
'Just need to take the girl's body next…but I need to make direct eye contact…'
'Denki' slowly stepped towards the direction of the girl. Each step required great strength due to Denki resisting the possession via extreme emotional stimulus.
"Hey Eri…" 'Denki' mumbled to Eri.
(A/n: Que slow motion)
With the most subtle of turns, the young innocent girl, one who had endured the many tortures of Overhaul, turned her head towards the voice of 'Denki'. Her silver hair flowed with a small wave as her neck turned.
'Just a little more…'
Eri's red eyes began meeting his. The iris of her left eye was blocked by her nose at this angle. She appeared to posses the most innocent of smiles, a warmth that was expressed through the positive experiences brought on by the supportive group of young trainees surrounding her.
'I need…BoTH eYeS…'
As Eri's eyes became ever clearer, right before full eye contact could be made, a hand gripped his collar.
"Huh?" The imposter said before finding himself pulled.
It was Tsuyu, her eyes beheld an analytical glint in them.
"Denki..." Tsuyu said with a hint of concern in her voice.
Tsuyu paused as her eyes took in Denki's for but a second. A look of realization crossed the frog girl's eyes. She looked increasingly uncomfortable and even horrified.
"You…your eyes. You're…suffering…" Tsuyu said, releasing him with a look of sympathy.
"Did something happen to you, Denki? Are you still mad about Mineta?" Tsuyu asked with a tilt of her head.
'Denki's' hand twitched mildly. The boy was reaching his breaking point, pushing out the foreign invader that manipulated his body in response to the question made by his concerned friend. The smallest of jolts could be felt surging through the body.
'ThiS fUcKiNG mUcUS InFeCTeD fRoG…' A dual pitched voice could be heard echoing within the puppeteered body of Denki.
'Denki' pulled away with guile movements, averting further interactions with the frog girl. Tsuyu tried to reach for 'Denki', but he had already slipped away from the crowding students. Gliding past Nejire, the girl raised a curious brow.
"Huh? Where are you going?" The third year asked.
"I'll be back…" 'Denki' said ominously. Nejire appeared mildly curious.
With a turn to the nearby bushes, away from sight, the possessed blonde staggered in place. The hands and joints were twitching wildly.
'I've run out of time…this body is compromised…'
GRIP
Another hand gripped the blonde in place, prompting him to turn around.
"Come with me big boy…" A sensual voice purred before. 'Denki' could only register blonde hair and tanned skin. The other students back at the dorm were too distracted to notice this rapidly executed snatch and grab.
'I need a new body now!'
Out of desperation, 'Denki' took a look at the nearest student that he could look at eye to eye. The students had their back turned to him, rendering eye contact impossible.
Save for one.
Looking at all the commotion of the crowded class 1A students, was none other than Todoroki. The frost and fire user was currently coming downstairs with a piece of paper in his hand, seemingly happy with a letter he had written. It was a written response to the letter he had received from Mineta's sister.
"Did I miss something?" Todoroki said with confusion upon seeing Minimu in the dorm.
"Isn't that Mineta's baby brother?" The dual elemental mumbled to himself before looking at 'Denki', who was sneaking away from the group. He tilted his head in mild confusion. The eyes of Todoroki made contact with 'Denki' for only a split second. Magenta eyes met the dual colored charcoal and aqua colored eyes of the son of Endeavor. Todoroki felt his instincts surge in response to what could be described as immediate danger.
ZOOM
Todoroki paused in place. The usually stoic bi-quirk user was notably more loose in his shoulders and his stance. It was as if a great weight was removed from his shoulders, replacing it with carefree and flexible body language. The letter in his hand dropped onto the floor, now abandoned on the lobby tiles.
"This body is even better. It's powerful…and physically built for combat. Quite an upgrade." The felon mumbled in response to adapting to her body.
The now cast aside body of Denki collapsed onto his knees limply. He was quickly snatched up in plain sight, by tanned arms that caressed his forearms and the side of his waist, practically guiding him away from the class 1A dorm building. An exhausted, drained look appeared on the now freed boy's face, as if he had been awake for days without sleep. His eyes possessed a mildly dark shade that displayed the great mental strain he had endured, as well as the fatigue that Narcissia's quirk infringed upon him.
"Huh? What happened? I feel so weak. My eyes…they hurt like hell…?" Denki said with a delirious expression, his eyes stung in agitation. His vision lacked clarity, blurred by the intensity of the possession forcibly imposed on him.
"Aw, are you feeling tired already? Don't worry, I'll be sure to take good care of you, handsome. A little detour to my dorm will make you good as new." A flirtatious voice whispered to his ear, making the blonde confusedly take a look at the feminine voice next to him.
With enough focus, the blurring of his vision was undone, enabling him to see with his own eyes the stranger that grabbed his arm in a firm vice. He didn't recognize the voice to be any of his classmates. Who was this girl?
As his vision refocused, he noticed a particularly well endowed figure. Bearing shoulder length blonde hair and tanned skin, the girl looked at Denki with an alluring gaze. Denki's eyes widened. "Y-y-y-you?! Ma-ma-ma-ma-"
Denki took a deep breath and finished. His tired face was now rejuvenated with the unexpected heat that flashed on his face.
" Marise…Uriu!" Denki exclaimed, with shaking eyes. He looked back at the dorm, fearful of the others seeing him with her, especially the girls.
"You remember me, yay! It has been a while since the whole 'ceasefire' between the girls of our respective classes. Us 1C girls were left all alone, thinking you and Mineta had forgotten all about us. Did you miss me?" The gyaru said. Letting out a giggle, the girl pressed herself a little more against Denki. He had to clench his teeth to not let out a pleasured groan.
'This wasn't supposed to happen! Jiro is gonna kill me when she hears about this. Hell, all the girls will freak when they find out! I gotta get out of here!'
GRIP
Denki found that his body was completely entrapped within the grip of the person who had snatched him away from his dorm.
'Dammit! She's got a strong grip!'
"It's about time I broke you out from U.A's notorious 'future cat ladies'. All us other classes have been putting up with their buzzkill attitudes with every boy at school. You 1A boys must really have it rough, having to deal with a whole class of those prudish nuns. I'll be sure to undo all the emasculation they put you through day in and day out. Don't worry, we'll get little Mineta next time. After all, you two are the only boys who even have the guts to make a move...or at least let us know how much you admire the view."
The girl's blue eyes practically glowed. Her voice was husky as she spoke. Her tone was a tone that made Denki's face redden like a tomato. A voice of pure seduction and uninhibited allure.
Before Denki could protest, the girl's breasts popped against his arm in a tentative manner.
And they expanded. They filled like organic air bags, making Denki increasingly light headed from the All Might sized cantaloupes that this particular girl possessed. The air bag boobs of her apparent quirk glomped against him as he struggled to pull away, deflating and reinflating as she walked with him.
"Now that you're free from ol' flatty over there, I'll be sure to keep you real busy, Class 1C style…"
She winked at him, a gleam could be seen at the seductive smile sent his way, displaying her pearly whites that glowed in the blue night light. Much akin to a siren she had successfully ensnared.
"You're in for quite a treat, stud!" Marie said before letting out a giggle. Her eyes sparkled in mischief.
*Que Present Mic Narration: "Marise Uriu, Her Quirk: 'Inflatable Bust!' Her quirk allows her to increase her bust to gargantuan sizes, enabling her to use it as a makeshift airbag…or a well enough distraction. As the de facto leader of the girls of class 1C, she is the bane of all existence for the girls of U.A."*
-With Jiro-
Tsuyu was struggling to move past the distracted members of her class. The figurine had completely mentally stopped them in place, preventing them from noticing anything beyond the tunnel vision of focus they had for the small piece of recyclable plastic.
"Excuse me! I need to get to Denki!" Tsuyu tried to say as she bumped into Shouji, who had a dark cloud on his head, as did the rest of the boys. Their combined masculinity took a severe blow from the fact that the smallest among them had achieved a goal post most would kill for.
Jiro clenched her eyes and gave back the figurine to Eri, as if it burned her. Rolling on her side, Jiro averted her gaze from the infernal toy.
'This can't get any worse…' Jiro thought to herself, trying her best to maintain her sanity. It was already slipping since she returned to the academy, but now this?
"Hey? Who is he?" Eri asked, pointing at something behind Jiro. The other students looked at the direction of where Eri was pointing.
As she turned around, Jiro's eyes widened further to notice a small but even more unwelcoming sight.
In front of her, using the shadow provided by a small table above him, was the small infant Minimu Mineta. The baby that had traumatized Jiro enough with his extremely forward flirtations, now in her dorm building.
Nejire widened her eyes. "*Gasp* A baby? All the way out here?"
The boy's had shadowed eyes. They all mumbled simultaneously. "Oh God, no…"
"How the hell did you get here, you little imp?!" Jiro asked the lecherous little infant, completely disturbed by this new development.
Minimu winked at her, a gleam appeared in his red irises as he did so, causing Jiro to backpedal from the small perverted spawn. Despite being much taller than the small newborn, she was more fearful of him than his older brother.
Shouji sweat dropped. "We did take a Super Cab, maybe he snuck in the back?"
Ochaco grabbed the sides of her head in worry. "This is not good, Mineta's family might be worried sick about him!"
Eri tilted her head at the baby. Being that she was a child, she simply pointed out the obvious based on her immediate observation. "He looks just like Minoru."
The same baby who was looking at Jiro, shifted his lecherous eyes in response to the voice of the one who had mentioned his brother.
What he saw made Minimu's eyes transition from a look of desire to a look of fascination. His red orbs increased in size, glistening reflectively to mirror the heavenly sight.
-Minimu Vision-
Minimu gazed at the vibrant aura that drew him in like a magnet. Staring at him with a serene expression of the most merciful of angels, a benevolent goddess stood before him. With each swerve and shift of her neck, her long silky locks swayed, flowing like a waterfall. It gleamed like the purest of silks, each strand bearing the color of the purest of silver. This magnificent creature bore an equally majestic smile, slowly blinking with each flap of her feminine eyelashes.
Then there were those fiery red eyes of hers, sanguine dipped eyes that took in the world with the glaze of innocence, of naivety, but also purity. Hers was an existence beyond that of the cosmos. She was like royalty.
BA DUMP
BA DUMP
His small heart swelled in her presence three times that moment. He had to come closer. He needed to know the identity of his true queen to be.
-Minimu Vision End-
Minimu's eyes steeled themselves with resolve, as he made his decision about his new fixation. One better than the dusty, old washboard he was originally focused on. He had moved on as easily as he was drawn to the older teen.
Jiro noticed the fact the little miscreant had looked away from her. Since Minimu was just as perverted as Minoru at his worst, there was only one possible person he would gawk at someone like that.
'Oh no! Don't tell me he must have a thing for Nejire now!' I need to warn her before she gets caught in that little freak's madness!' Jiro thought before she took a look at where the third year was.
She was completely gone. A dotted outline shaped like Nejire's silhouette could be seen in Jiro's vision as her mind tried to make sense of her apparent absence.
Jiro looked desperately for the bluenette. Her head whiplashed as she looked high and low for her.
That was when the musician noticed that Nejire was actually already going with Momo up the stairs to the second floor. For some reason, Nejire was following after the class rep without question.
Nejire looked at Momo in curiosity as she walked with her. "Is something wrong Momo? Why are we leaving the others?"
Momo had an overly innocent smile. Her eyes were closed as she smiled gently. "Nothing is wrong. I just wanted to catch up. It's been so long since we were able to speak freely."
Nejire looked back, noticing Minimu. "That is true…I have been so busy with Eri that I have unintentionally ignored you guys. I'm sorry. But it should be fine, Jiro said she would play some music for her, so I'll be sure to check on them in a bit."
Momo snickered away from Nejire's view. "That's terrific. Plus, there's something I wanted to talk to you about."
Nejire had a question mark appear on her head. The somewhat airheaded girl was clueless as to what was happening here. "Oh? About what?"
Jiro's eyes were completely white as she stared at the retreating forms of Nejire and Momo. Momo guided Nejire to her dorm, staring back at Jiro with a notably darkened smirk. A very familiar smirk that didn't belong to someone like Momo.
Momo said to Nejire, her voice dripping with a mischievous tone. "I'm sure Eri will be in good hands! After all, she could use a playmate in her own age group."
Jiro, now knowing where Nejire was, looked at whoever it was Minimu was really facing. There was only one person left in the direction his large eyes gazed at.
It was Eri!
Eri stepped towards Minimu. Being that he was a child like her, the usual nervousness that Eri would feel was dulled. She was taller than the infant, but her childlike innocence prompted her to step closer to the small baby. Her body language was that of a little girl seeking potential companionship and connection with someone who could relate to her.
"He looks a lot like Minoru. But…red!" Eri pointed out innocently. Minimu walked up to her. Eri and Minimu gazed at each other with their mutual gazes. Their wide crimson eyes honed in on one another. Minimu smiled at her cutely, with an upturn of his rosy dimpled cheeks, causing Eri to smile back on reflex with a small bit warm smile. She prodded her fingers nervously. Being that she was older, she went to him with the figurine, taking the leap.
"He seems nice!" Eri said, finding the young infant to be adorable.
Minimu took a sheet of paper and jotted down a picture of him and Eri holding hands, with the label "Minimu and Eri 4 Ever." Eri tilted her head. Being that she was inexperienced with flirtations, the little girl responded with a question. "You want to be…friends with me?"
Minimu appeared to be blushing with large hearts in his eyes. Eri's eyes sparkled with an enthusiastic shimmer in her irises. The horned girl always looked forward to meeting and making new friends and loved ones, considering her past. A radiant smile appeared on her face. "Yes. I…I would love to be your friend!"
Minimu handed a hastily jotted paper towards Jiro, still looking at Eri as he did so. She looked confused.
It read as thus: (A/N: Read in Eloquent British Voice)
'My dearest Kyouka,
With all that we have been through, with all that we have endured as a striving kingdom, I fear that our time apart has weighed heavily on the hearth that burns within my breast like a thousand suns. It is with the deepest regret that I write this to you. The union that once sparked our mutual love for each other is now rendered a one sided affair. I have forged a new connection and must carry on with the rest of my followers to the place sought most. The land where waifus bloom like sakura flowers on a spring morning. I wish you all the best, my sweet siren, garbed in shadow. It is with a heavy heart that I shift the gift of my lineage under the care of another. In time, I hope that despite this, that we will remain the closest of friends in a world of obscurity and dreadfully painful loneliness.
In other words, as it is said among the rambling common folk, 'You'll be iight'.
With Royal Regards,
Minimu of the Mineta Dynasty, First of His Name, Wielder Of the Royal Red Sphere.'
Jiro's mind, which had been on the cusp of madness, had finally taken the leap over there edge. White noise rang in her ears, muffling out all the commotion from the others who were too engrossed with the Mineta figurine, or the fact that his brother somehow made his way to their dorms. Some were gushing over the immediate bonding between Eri and the infant, finding the interaction innocent and cute.
The poor fools, if only they understood what Jiro had seen personally. To Jiro however, she was more focused on the fact that she got dumped by a baby…for a girl younger than her…
In some odd way, Jiro felt betrayed. As if she was a plaything to be cast aside on a whim. Just the fact that she was feeling these odd feelings made her stunned to her core. How the hell can a rugrat make her feel this way, so low and at the same time, fractured beyond repair.
'I got the whole 'can we still be friends' speech…from a baby barely a year old…who's not even old enough to know how to wipe his own butt!'
Peaking at said baby, Minimu could be seen hugging Eri, who tilted her head in confusion.
"Oh? Do you want a hug?" Eri asked with a slight blush on her face. She gently wrapped her arms around the youngest Mineta sibling, causing his eyes to droop and his lips to salivate.
"There! Nejire told me hugging cures skin hunger." Eri said with a smile, closing her eyes as she smiled at the baby. It made for an adorable innocent site…if you didn't know Minimu.
'This…this can't get any worse…' Jiro thought to herself, repulsed by the fact that Minimu was taking full advantage of the mutual affection.
Before Jiro could respond, she felt her body being shaken roughly. She snapped out of her funk to see the pajama garbed Toru.
"Jiro! Snap out of it! Class 1C struck again!"
Jiro's eyes widened. "H-huh?!"
Ochaco massaged her forehead. "Not again…I thought they gave up already!"
Jiro looked around desperately, only to come to a realization.
"W-where the hell is Denki?!" Jiro said before sprinting to the nearest window, noticing outside the dorm, was the big air bag wielding gyaru of 1C who was dragging a resisting Denki away.
Marise pulled her left eyelid down towards Jiro and stuck her tongue out in an immature mocking gesture. Denki could be seen protesting and trying to break free, but finding himself struggling in her tight grip.
Jiro was as stiff as a board. Things were spiraling out of control.
As for Tsuyu, the frog mutant had overheard the commotion and ran to the entrance of the dorm.
"Marise Uriu…you've broken the truce…" Tsuyu said with a subtle low growl in her voice. She immediately began chasing the girl. Hopping as she went. Marise could be seen picking up Denki and proceeding to sprint with him in a bridal carry.
Mina was walking down the stairs, late for the ruckus. Confusion dawned on her face. "What's with all the yelling? And why did Tsuyu run away?"
The boys looked at Mina. All of the 1A boys as well as Minimu had red faces with wide eyes.
Mina was dressed in a tight green outfit. A sensually appetizing green top that flowed to her angles with bells dangling at the tips of the dress. Her legs were currently wrapped with white and red stockings. With a matching green cotton ball hat, the pink skinned heroine was quite magnetically attractive.
Mina raised an eyebrow. "What? Is something on my face?"
Toru waved her hands dramatically. "What do you think?! Those damn floozies struck again! Get your elf ass in gear!"
Mina blushed at the mention of the word 'elf'. Looking down at her attire, the breakdancer had forgotten to remove the sexy elf outfit Momo gave her. In her love for the cute outfit, she had worn it carelessly. Her black eyes widened with the realization of her mistake.
Mina squealed, covering herself with her cotton ball green hat. "Ah! It's not what it looks like! Don't look at me!"
Mina attempted to helplessly cover herself. All her efforts were in vain, as the provocative attire flashed a bit of her cleavage, pushed upwards because of the design of the dress.
PSSSST
Simultaneously, the boys squirted bursts of blood from all their noses, resulting in them colliding with the floor of the lobby. Their young minds had enough stimulus for one night. Eri looked at them with a sweatdrop, not knowing what was going on. Eri laid on the ground, innocently mimicking the boys. "Is this part of a game?"
Toru, completely ignoring the comatose boys, immediately grabbed Mina with a firm grip.
"Get those funbags moving! We have a war to fight! Class 1C has gone too far this time!" Toru said before tearing off her pajamas in half, her 'costume' proudly in place. Toru proceeded to pull Mina with a firm and powerful grip.
Mina struggled within her grasp. "W-wait a minute! Now?! But there's something I was supposed to do! Let me at least get dressed first! Wait. Momo! Where are you?"
Toru didn't blink, dragging a resistant Mina outside into the night, Mina's hands scratched against the ground as she was pulled. Her nails scratched against the tiles as she attempted to break free. Following her was a hesitant Ochaco.
"I can't believe this is happening again…let's hope we can negotiate another truce…" Ochaco said somberly before rushing after the invisible girl into the campus grounds, drenched in the rays of the night sky.
The boys of class 1A spasmed and twitched in their combined overstimulation, down for the count with the exposure to such sights from their pink classmate.
Minimu, shaken by all the dizzying sights of Mina's bouncing assets, shook his head free of his lust and gazed at the other boys with a knowing smirk. They were out like a light. This meant some alone time with Eri.
His eyes came upon Todoroki, who was the only boy still up.
(A/n: *Que Boku no Academia Ost- "It Sounds Scary At Midnight"*)
The young infant met his eyes with the fire and ice elemental. A sudden chill instinctually went up his underdeveloped spine.
Minimu remembered this boy. Red hair, white hair, and a burnt face. This was the same guy who his older sister Monomi had feelings for.
Only…the eyes weren't the same.
In fact, he appeared to be focusing on Eri.
-Minimu Vision-
A sudden icy sensation shivered it's way up his spine. This unforgiving malice that stemmed from the one who had been chosen by his sister, now gazing at his bride to be.
It was the look of a man on a mission. The look of a man with one goal set for himself.
The look of competition.
-Minimu Vision End-
The infant's eyes narrowed at the dual elemental hero in training. With quick movement, he pulled Eri upwards, smacking off some excess dust on her. Eri mildly blushed and squeaked "T-thank you."
Minimu grabbed her by the hand and started walking away from the lobby, as far away from Todoroki as possible.
Eri asked in curiosity. "Where are we going?" Eri turned her head towards the boys, only for Minimu to turn her face back to his with his small hand.
Minimu made an eating gesture, rubbing his tummy as a physical indicator of his intention. He pulled her onward without an answer, keeping his peripherals on the lone boy whose focus was solely on his girl. Eri however, sweatdropped as she was gently guided by the ravenous Mineta sibling. "You're hungry? But what about Nejire? Then again…she didn't seem to mind when I was alone with the others…and I am a bit hungry too. I suppose it should be fine."
Eri smiled off and caught up with Minimu, leading him hand in hand as they walked the first floor of the dorms. "C'mon! The kitchen is this way."
The red glow of Minimu's eyes displayed a look of a man about to go to war. Unknowingly to Eri, the infant held a piece of paper in his free hand, crumbled up into a ball. Thick, powerful veins pulsed in his infantile arms, angrily displaying strength unlike any for a boy his age.
This was the strength that rose from the most primal of male instincts. He would not allow anyone to steal the bride he just discovered. If Todoroki wished to steal his goddess.
Then this meant war!
'Todoroki' followed after them, stepping over by the unconscious boys, slowly gliding toward the two children into the hallway.
'I needed that bit of luck…practically a miracle all for me. With the girls outside and the boys unconscious by their own hormones, all I need is one look. Two children should be enough for me to deal with…'
'Todoroki' took a left with a cocky smile on his face. It led to the hallway where Eri and Minimu had taken.
They were now gone.
"Awfully fast for a pair of brats…"
RUSTLE
'Todoroki' looked down, noting a crumpled piece of paper. He bent down and straightened the abandoned paper.
With analytical eyes, the possessor's eyes widened a centimeter.
'Dearest Future Brother in Law,
Though love is akin to navigating the Sahara Desert, one must be wary of what manner of beast they may provoke within his own territory. For your sake, cease and desist your claim on the girl.
You already have Monomi. You will not have this one. She's already spoken for. And we are happily engaged. Tread on our sanctimonious union, and there will be swift retribution that awaits.
With Royal Regards,
M.M'
'Todoroki' raised an eyebrow.
'Todoroki's eyes flashed a shade of sinister magenta. With the children unseen, he will have to do things the hard way. It's only a matter of time before he found the two brats.
"Looks like someone wants to play a game of hide and seek…fine…"
'Todoroki's' eyes flared in an insidious magenta color.
"Let's play."
Back at the lobby, the only girl standing like a mannequin by the window was Jiro. The tomboy was stuck in a trance. Between the infant who had followed her, losing Denki to Marise of class 1C, and the truce between the 1A girls and 1C girls being broken, Jiro was feeling her mind crack. It was simply too much to take in all at once, causing her to grip her scalp. Mineta having a figurine, being dumped by a baby, Nejire being taken away by Momo, and now losing Denki to class 1C. So many horrible things happening, all at once. Her luck couldn't be this bad.
Jiro looked to where she last knew Eri to be.
The girl was gone…as was Minimu.
This was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Her temporary trance had made Minimu take advantage of her vulnerability. Now the little perverted lecher was with the innocent Eri.
With panic channeled into her lungs, Jiro clenched her own hair tightly, being driven practically insane by all the misfortunes of this night.
"AHHHHHHHHH!"
A sharp shriek of terror emanated from the class 1A dorms.
-Elsewhere: Musutafu Streets-
VROOM
A speeding vehicle zoomed across the streets of Musutafu. The faint rays of blue and red light signified that there was an officer on the prowl, looking to enforce the law to stop a crime in progress.
"Look, I'm just saying, I can't help but feel like there's something wrong. It's like a lingering nagging feeling on the back of my neck. I haven't gotten the 'shake' since almost twenty years ago." A wizened voice can be heard from within the vehicle.
Upon close inspection one couldn't help but notice that the vehicle had an abnormal shape. Specifically, it appeared to be a large mobile dome. Its glassy navy blue sheen reflected all nearby street lamps and traffic lights like a mirror. It practically glided through the streets with very little if any jittering as it went. Based on the many stray bits of newspaper that violently blew away from it as it went, the dome shaped car was also an extremely dense vehicle.
"You're getting paranoid, honey. Besides, aren't you retired? Let the younglings handle this. Besides, I want to frolic and make you squeal. Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!" A mature feminine voice spoke seductively, as the sounds of affection could be heard along with faint giggles.
"Hey, I'm driving! You're getting me excited enough as is! We'll get to it in a bit you naughty little fox! But let me tell you it reminds me of when Mami was a little girl. Remember?"
A thick calloused hand held a photo in hand. The hand was crafted with years of labor and also usage on the field. Another more slender hand clasped on the thick hand. The slender hand was shrouded in an odd shade of violet fur.
"How can I not? She was very small for her age. I was worried for so long about her…" The feminine voice said in remembrance.
A saddened canine-like whimper emanated within the dome-shaped car.
"It's okay Mika, I'm sure it's nothing like that. I just wanna make sure. I know it's coming from this direction, we're almost there. I'm old so I may be getting senile, but I gotta make sure."
A faint whine could be heard.
"My instincts are going crazy…" the woman whined. A fluffy purple tail could be seen brushing against the callused hand.
"A full moon is approaching. No wonder you've been so turned on lately. There's nothing I would want more to make some sweet sexy midnight loving. Let's just take this little detour and then I'm all yours. Promise!" The wizened voice compromised.
"I'll hold you to it. You know mutants have their urges at maximum during the full moon. If you don't keep your promise I'll jump you! I mean it!"
"Hehe! I don't know, I'm kinda tempted to let that happen!" The man said. One couldn't help but notice the man was using extensions on the pedals in order to actually drive the car with his clearly small legs.
"That's torture! You're cruel! But, at least we get to check up on the little ones. It's been a while since we've last seen them." The woman said. Her figure revealed an admittedly curvaceous form, albeit decorated in the same shade of purple fur.
"I'll give Mam's a call after this. I'm sure she'll appreciate it."
Revealed by the glow of a nearby street lamp was a half sized man with navy blue spheres, styled as a swept back hairstyle, with one long bang dangling on his forehead. A large mustache decorated his upper lip. His eyes held intense dark blue irises. He was a well built man despite his size, with prominent thick arms that possessed strength that defied his actual age.
The woman next to him appeared to be a very tall, fox-like woman with a curved figure. She had silver hair that reached her shoulders, with two strands which went down the left side of her face, obscuring her left eye. With large yellow eyes with bushy eyelashes and fluffy pointed ears, the face was clearly that of an exotic persuasion. The violet fur and a white furry underbelly was a clear indicator that the woman was a female fox mutant.
The short man placed his right hand on the fox woman's left thigh. Her hand placed itself on top of his. Their hands possessed rings on their index fingers.
"Love you Mamoru." The fox woman said with a glint in her eye.
"Love you too, Mika!" The now identified Mamoru said. His eyes widened upon noticing something on the road. He immediately pressed the brake.
SCREECH
The navy blue dome shaped car stopped in place at what appeared to be a ruined segment of land.
"What the hell?" Mamoru said as he literally stuck his head out of the dome shaped car, passing his head past the gelatinous outer membrane. Mika covered her snout in apparent shock.
In front of them was Musutafu Seventh Lane, completely obliterated in a messy debris-filled mess. A large gaping hole could be seen at the center, leading straight down to the subway.
Mamoru said to his wife with a serious undertone. "Stay here…"
Mika replied in the negative. "No, I'm going with you."
Mamoru sighed. "Honey…"
Mika folded her arms and turned her snout in defiance. "No! I'm coming. End of story!"
Mamoru exhaled a puff of air. "Stubborn fox…alrighty then, just stay close."
He stepped out of the membrane. It turns out that the entire car is made of this thick gelatin material. As the two stepped out of the 'car' Mamoru placed a blue officer's hat on his head, with narrowed eyes as he went towards the destroyed shopping center.
"Looks like shit…I doubt this was done by the usual troublemakers around this area." Mamoru pointed out.
Mika, with her canine-like snout sniffed the area. She found herself leaning over a gaping hole, leading to the subway system below.
"Down in the hole. That's where the most recent scent goes…" Mika said with her eyes penetrating the darkness. The fox mutant took a whiff of her snout, her nostrils extending and constricting with the use of her strong sense of smell.
"Someone is in there!" Mika exclaimed. She leaned downward in a hunched over position enabling Mamoru to climb on her exposed back. Mika immediately launched herself down with her hands and legs enabling her to throw herself and land on rocks with swift movements that defied her age.
With the faintest of thuds, Mika landed with Mamoru safely plastered on her back.
"How's your back?" Mamoru asked his mutant wife, who sweatdropped.
"It's fine…I'm not that old!" Mika deadpanned.
Mamoru chuckled before he hopped off, his feet making prominent echoes as he stepped onto the tiled flooring of the subway station. He pulled out a flashlight as he walked towards the source of what Mika detected. Each step caused the navy blue spheres on his head to rattle increasingly.
"Yup…looks like this is what I picked up…no doubt about it." Mamoru pointed out, shifting his body as he avoided the large chunks of debris. The signs clearly pointed to an intense battle that occurred. Mild bits of dried blood stained the floor. Someone has been cut here.
The sphere headed elder squeezed his way past a particularly cramped collection of rocks. Most likely these had landed atop of the destination he was looking for. Using his small body, the elder made his way past the cracks of the large debris, finding himself in front of a lone figure, lying in the darkness, alone.
There, lying motionless was a young man, garbed in green. With messy frizzy hair, and some stray bloodied cuts on his person was Deku. The small strays of light brushed gently against his green locks. Despite how scratched up he was, his facial expression appeared to be serene as his face rested against the ground.
Mika brushed the fluffy green strands of hair across the pale freckled face of the abandoned boy. She let out a sad whine.
"Hey, this is one of those whippersnappers Minoru told me about. From the academy. Denki if I remember correctly." Mika noticed.
"Wasn't that the blonde one? I think this one's Dicky. An odd name for a boy…" Mamoru said as Mika sniffed him. Mamoru then snapped his fingers in recognition.
"Wait, I remember it now! It's Deku! This is the one who he admired in his class. Such a damn shame to see a good kid here all alone in this gloomy crap hole." Mamoru recalled.
"His smell is off…but his body isn't harmed too badly…a bit bloody…but nothing to put him into this fatal state..." Mika picked up as she smelled Deku's body.
Mamoru leaned down towards the green clad body before him.
"Mika baby, do your magic!" Mamoru asked his wife who leaned down.
"But…I was going to use it for our anniversary…" Mika asked, an unsure expression on her face.
"Never mind that, hot fox. I won't be jealous this time, I swear! This is an emergency." Mamoru said.
Mika, sighing in response, placed her large purple tail and brushed against Deku's nostrils.
"He doesn't have a pulse…what if he's too far gone?" Mika asked.
Mamoru placed a hand on Deku's forehead. He let out a small smirk.
"Keep at it. If he was really gone his temperature wouldn't have spiked up from your tail. This is something completely different. We just need to get him somewhere safe and let that tail of yours do its work." Mamoru said.
Mika had a rosy facial expression. "I still don't like it. Having to use it on someone other than my own husband goes against my vows for crying out loud."
POP
He whipped out a sphere, and tossed it next to him, causing it to shift into a small dome shaped vehicle. He scooped the body upwards, struggling due the fact that the green haired boy was far taller than he was.
CRACK
"Ow! My back!" Mamoru whined as he placed Deku into the portable driving sphere. Deku slipped through as if being engulfed into water. The sphere maintained its shape, keeping him in a stable horizontal position as he rested within the large membrane.
"What do you think happened here? His heart…stopped…" Mika said as she went inside the sphere with Deku. Her tail was plastered against his nostrils. She sighed at seeing a young boy in such a critical state.
"If it were the physical injuries, he would be merely unconscious at best. I'm no doctor, but his build suggests he is a hardy sort, so I doubt it's that."
Mamoru checked Deku's cheek, where a thin slice could be seen. It was a wound inflicted by a sharp blade of some sort. On closer inspection however, the elder was able to notice purple stitches that sealed the wound shut. Mamoru's lips turned into a knowing smile.
"Looks like he's still under the effects of our girl Mamira's quirk. His wounds have sealed up already. Whatever is affecting him now runs much deeper. He just needs time to let them spheres and your tail to give his body a jumpstart from that Quirk-based stasis he's in."
Mamoru tapped the sphere gazing at Deku. It jiggled when his finger prodded the gelatinous surface of the portable dome.
"Hang tight, kiddo. You're not out of this yet. Consider this a gift for being a good friend for my grandson! A friend of Minoru is practically family of mine, or my name ain't Mamoru Mineta!
*Que Present Mic Narration: "Mamoru Mineta, His Quirk: 'Spherecycle!' He grows spheres on his head. When removed, they inflate and become portable vehicles he can drive! He can make them to whatever size he needs, so long as he doesn't overdo it. After many years as a traffic cop, this quirk brings the pedal to the metal for every occasion!"
As he readied another sphere to use as a moving platform a prominent ring emanated from Mika's pocket.
RING
The fox mutant raised an eyebrow and whipped out her phone. It was a small phone, lacking the usual specks of a smartphone. It was practically a dummy phone. On the small screen of this palm sized tech was a name.
'Mineta Minoru'
Mamoru raised an eyebrow. "Who's calling?"
Mika nodded. "It's Mino dear! I'll be quick."
Mika dialed the switch to accept the call. "Hello?"
Gibberish could be heard on the other line. Mika's eyes widened. Her yellow eyes gleamed as her eyes widened exponentially.
"Papito? What is it? Where's Mino?"
Mamoru looked around the abandoned hallway of the subway platform as Mika talked on the phone. His eyes analyzed the layout of the bits of tiles and debris that littered the ground. He raised an eyebrow as he gazed at the smallest of trinkets that lingered on the floor, right in the center of the platform. The old traffic cop picked it up.
It was about the size of a raisin, glistening under the remaining lights that flickered sporadically in this dark abandoned place. It was a gem, more specifically, based on its glassy texture, it's refractiveness and it's sharp edges, it looked almost like a diamond.
"A…diamond? Here?" Mamoru mumbled. As he turned the small gem around he couldn't help but notice that the 'diamond' had an odd sense of weight with it. Its coloration was also all wrong, with bits of red that messily mixed in with tiny shades of blue that weren't possible for true diamonds.
"I'm no expert but this diamond is the most odd shape for a diamond to have…" Mamoru mumbled to himself.
The smallest of pricks appeared on his finger when his thumb touched its glassy service, startling the sphere-headed grandfather.
No diamond in the world could ever possess a razor sharp surface like that. Not a natural one at least.
"It's sharp…and heavier than it looks…" Mamoru picked up, reaching for his belt, where three small black pouches were. From one of them he pulled out a small plastic bag, placing the gem into the bag, sealed and for future use. His training as a traffic cop kept his mind open and his eyes analytical with such an odd trinket in the midst of this battlefield. Looking at the scrapes on Deku's body, Mamoru could easily tell the source of the marks on the boy's body.
'Whoever this kid fought had the ability to make this stuff in close quarters.'
Mamoru turned his head to the tiled walls of the subway platform, picking up bullet holes that littered them. There were four holes, and a large impact hole where a human body must have smashed through.
'He's good with a gun…'
Mamoru looked at a large cut wound that reached behind the back of Deku's leg.
'And is also good with a blade…something thin and good for cutting past the boy's armor. Looks like the work of a blade with a powerful edge…something meant to stab through armor like tin foil.'
Mamoru walked to the impact and turned around, looking where he found Deku. Small specks of blood littered the floor. Mamoru had to squint his eyes to see in this darkness.
'The guy Deku fought could see pretty well…too well. Too damn dark in here. These bullet holes were distractions…forcing Deku to run to avoid him, and then…scraping his leg to force him to fight in close quarters. He then used a blade to carve his armor apart. Then he used those pesky 'diamonds' to tear up his vulnerable skin like razor wire. That's just way too tactical to be a young criminal. Seems more of a soldier or a mercenary. Someone who's used to being on a warfront…' Mamoru narrowed his navy blue eyes. He appeared in thought. His mind raced through the many possibilities of the potential culprit.
'From what I hear from buddies in the force…none of the villains currently based in Musutafu match this combat description. Most are just thugs or like the League of Villains…chaotic. None of them are trained for military though. That is a whole other class in itself. Especially with enough firepower to level an entire subway and get away so quickly. It's looking more likely that it could be an old timer. A professional villain…someone who could be close to my age…'
"Hydra Prison?!" The foxy grandma that was Mika snapped Mamoru from his focus, as she responded to what she just heard on the phone with Papito.
Mamoru paused in place, a dumbfounded expression appeared on the old man's face.
"What kind of trouble did that little grape seed get into this time?" The grandpa said as he took off his hat, shaking his head in apparent disappointment with a hand on his forehead.
'Mino is in a max security prison?! Tonight's going to be one of those nights, I just know it…Please don't be the one who's locked up, kiddo!' Mamoru thought bitterly, feeling far too old for this kind of growing conundrum he stumbled into. First Mineta's friend, now it's something about a prison.
Mika's eyes widened. "He's…unconscious…"
Mamoru's eyes widened as well. He spoke with a serious tone. "Let's get moving! I'll get us there at mach speed!"
Mika widened her eyes. "You're completely insane!"
Mamoru offhandedly said. "Like a fox. Put on your masks."
Mika rushed into her pocket, placing a pilot based mask on Deku's mouth, followed by her own snout. Gripping bits of the innards of the dome, she anchored herself and Deku with gelatinous straps, as if they were on a jet plane ready for launch. Mika gulped, sweating as she held on for dear life.
Mamoru entered the sphere cycle with his mutant wife. He drove towards the wall, where the sphere cycle stuck to it, before it sped along the ceiling. With almost perfect steering, Mamoru navigated towards the hole where they came from and drove his way upwards. The debris was swatted away, bouncing against the thick gelatin texture of the quirk-based vehicle.
Upon reaching the streets Musutafu Seventh Lane, the dome turned around. It's outer membrane sizzled a great deal of heat that rippled the outside. Mamoru narrowed his navy blue eyes as he pushed the ignition, as if he was in a race.
BAMPH
The sphere car immediately sped onward, leaving behind a glowing blue streak as it sped past, towards the nearest road that led to the Musutafu Outskirts. The glass of every abandoned car in sight shattered and exploded in response to the near sound barrier breaking speed emanating from the otherwise small unassuming dome.
-Elsewhere: Sewer Base-
A prevalent amount of smoke pillowed within the small confined room where Diamondeye and Kuro Harukaze had set up their improvised laboratory for their nefarious plans. Sparks of electricity from the nearby wires lit the darkened room, revealing stray bits of glass that littered the floor, as well as the still flowing scraps of paper that had been torn asunder in the resounding explosion.
The large glass like container, plastered front and center in the room was completely destroyed. Its infrastructure now broken beyond repair, with the reddened liquid solution spewing onto the dirtied ground, a wellspring of blood that belonged to one of Musutafu's greatest.
"*Cough* *Cough* Kuro?" A garbled voice spoke in the darkness, intending to reach his leader, now obstructed by all the damage done to the room.
THUD
Two glowing gemstone eyes lit inside the darkness, sending rays of light that revealed the skull-like face of the insidious weapons manufacturer, Diamondeye. The bone walker stalked across the room, completely ignoring the large bits of glass that pressed against his exposed muscularity and exoskeleton.
As he carefully excavated the room, moving some stray bits of furniture
WHOOSH
Something appeared behind him. It's speed was immeasurable. Diamondeye paused in place, slowly turning around with the edge of his diamond optics glaring at the source of the speedy figure who snuck behind him.
"Astonishing…" The elderly felon said with a hint of pride as he took in the sight.
The remaining light of the room fizzled out.
BASH
RUMBLE
The flare of Diamondeye's gem carved irises darkened, in its place was the sound of high velocity movements.
GRIP
CRACK
SNAP
The reverbed sounds of broken bones rang into the room, now pitch black with the lack of lighting.
TEAR
SHLICK
Torn tendons and muscle fibers echoed against the rusty construction of this underground command center.
CREAK
The door to the room opened in an eerily screeching fashion, revealing a large figure, canine in appearance but standing as a man. It was the large imposing figure belonging to Legion Lycant. The monstrous mutant surveyed the room with his sickly yellow eyes, shaded with a nocturnal glaze that enabled him to see what the human eye could not. He narrowed his eyes as his fur puffed threateningly, physical display of strength and the readiness of his quirk. He was ready to strike with a flex of his spiked hide.
"*Snarl* I heard a noise…what the hell happened, skull?* Lycant said as he focused his predatory gaze, looking for Diamondeye. He sniffed the area, picking up the smell of smoke, but then noticed the smell of blood. As he followed the smell, he caught the sight of Diamondeye, with his back turned to him.
"Danger?"
Lycant approached the anatomically inverted tactician.
"sTOp…" Diamondeye's voice warned the dog-like mutant. Lycant paused in place. His eyes widening a centimeter. Diamondeye's voice made an odd pitch, one that made Lycant on edge. Before him was an unusual sight.
Diamondeye, the eldest of the prisoners of Hydra Prison, was literally torn to pieces. Half of his body was standing perfectly upright, staring at whatever peaked his interest. The other half remained on the ground with one of his legs squashed and splattered against the floor, spreading his muscle fibers in string like pieces all over the red painted tiles. Copious amounts of fresh blood filled the room. The second half's arm was currently in the middle of being removed by two slender, pale, but gore stained hands. Even in this darkness, that much was easy enough for the ravenous canine to notice.
The figure appeared to be toned for combat, possessing a form that though small, was compact, possessing untold strength as depicted by their arms which literally ripped Diamondeye's limbs. The gem-eyed prisoner currently possessed red rays that lit the figure and the room in a glare of blood red light. The smoke provided a haze to the room that added to this moment, as well as the obscurity of the one who did this to him.
It was a woman. Curvaceous and fit, with a notable shoulder length mop of black hair that messily rested against her back. Her hands were colored in Diamondeye's blood.
"It would be unwise to startle this this one…she's taking her first steps…practically in the teething stage. I wish to savor every bit of this once in a lifetime discovery." Diamondeye remarked in a whisper, not even registering the fact that half of his body was missing, bleeding profusely as he spoke. It was if he felt no pain or care for his mutilated body. His one remaining eye stared at the figure with something akin to admiration.
Lycant scoped the silhouetted figure, a snarl on his face as his body demanded to enter battle to save his ally from danger. His increasingly audible growl prompted an immediate rebuttal.
"iF yOu TakE anOther sTEP, i'LL bE FoRCeD tO KiLL yOU mysElF…" Diamondeye outright threatened, making Lycant seeth internally before relenting. His guard remained high as the female figure shifted her body in response to Diamondeye's intimidating voice.
"You're still…alive…" A feminine voice echoed in the pillowed smoke.
Diamondeye remained unmoving as he gazed upon the mysterious woman.
"A cockroach can live without its head for up to weeks. The same can be said with me…" Diamondeye said cryptically.
"I don't know you…and yet…I want nothing more than to see you…torn apart. Why is that?" The woman stated, a confused tone in her voice.
"Ah…indeed. No doubt those are the residual after effects of your recent…birth…so to speak." Diamondeye analyzed, slowly kneeling on one leg with perfect balance before scooping up his other eye, long detached from the other destroyed half of his body.
"You are well within your rights to feel the way you do…they are the same feelings as your 'donor'. But unlike her, you don't have her…reservations. You may not know me, but I know you quite extensively."
Diamondeye pressed the separated gem into his fractured skull where his missing eye would be.

Diamondeye placed the literal diamond back into his leftover eye socket, possessing both eyes once again. They immediately flared a blue tinted glare.
SHATTER
SHATTER
The damaged bits of Diamondeye literally fractured into pieces in a glassy transition before slowly reappearing on his bisected frame. The damage that the unknown woman had done to him was undone in mere seconds. He let out a deep intake of breath.
"What…are you?" The woman said, her face scrunched in suspicion. Her face was obscured by smoke, but her eyes glowed, revealing a magma colored pair of eyes. The air distorted with heat that came from the eyes of this machination.
She looked to the side, before her flame colored eyes glowed in the hazy red-lit smoke.
"Forget it…I honestly don't care…I'm finishing you off…" The woman stated as her eyes glowed ominously, like an incoming volcano eruption. Underneath the smoke, one would notice a small smirk plastered on the woman's face. Her teeth practically gleamed past the darkness with a sadistic thrill behind it.
"Do what you will…the choice is yours…and the consequences with it." Diamondeye stated matter of factly.
The woman found herself pouncing, only to pause in place, starting to enter a coughing fit.
"*Cough* *Cough*" The woman heaved as she lurched over. Her naked body entered a fetal position against the sharp glass of the leftover test tube, shattering the shards to bits with the smallest of touches. Her exposed body was exempt from any scrapes and potential wounds the glass would have done to a normal human body.
SFX: BREATHE IN
SFX: BREATHE OUT
A hollowed bellow lingered in the room, prompting Diamondeye to look to his left.
"Apologies Kuro…I had underestimated the potential results of our little 'project'." Diamondeye stated offhandedly. Lycant instinctually kept his eye on the woman, who though coughing against the floor, was still a viable threat.
"I could kill her right now…I'll tear this glorified naked mole rat apart…" Legion Lycant offered as he stepped towards the small vulnerable woman who threatened him and those he followed. He sensed an out of place aura about her, one that made his instincts demand her immediate demise.
"That is unnecessary…"
CLICK
CLACK
Dense footsteps echoed in the room, belonging to the man who made this all possible.
"STEM…was a success…" A wispy, raspy echo lingered in the air, as the demon of Hydra Prison stepped from within the shadows of the room. It was Kuro Harukaze, who walked into the blood tinted light, battered and wounded from the resulting explosion of the experiment he and Diamondeye concocted. Black blood spilled from his right temple on his cranium, with bits of glass still stuck against his lean torso. He appeared heavily fatigued, pushing himself past the pain that weighed each movement.
"STEM?" The woman coughed out, wheezing as she coughed a sprinkle of blood from her mouth. Oddly enough, her mouth was still curled in a strained smirk. Her eyes however, appeared fatigued, displaying the agony that the rest of her face could not.
"It's your name…your new name…" Harukaze affirmed. With fatigue he pressed his talon against her face, noticing a small glowing scar running along her left cheek. This mild imperfection was an oddity, considering that besides this small bit of damaged skin, STEM was completely unscathed, unmarred by any imperfections of the skin. No blemishes or wrinkles stained her exterior. His thoughts were interrupted before he could deduce the reason behind the scar.
"What exactly was in that black substance you used? To go so far as to steal it from the HPSC safety deposit boxes…and to make such a useful 'specimen', even I can see it must be of insurmountable worth." Diamondeye asked curiously, seeking answers. This prompted Harukaze to narrow his completely black pits he had for eyes. He nodded subtly as if reaching an internal consensus within himself.
"Steal? Legally speaking, yes. But in reality you are wrong, Daichi…One cannot steal what already was stolen to begin with…"
Diamondeye tilted his head in a display of curiosity. Harukaze continued.
"I took away what the HPSC and international hero agencies pillaged from the War of Masks. The last remnants of the very paradise they sought to tame. At least…before it was destroyed..." Kuro Harukaze hissed, walking around the coughing STEM, taking note of her consistent shifting. She was still trying to fight back against whatever plagued her. The black smoke of Black Wind seeped in her lungs, making breathing a chore, and movement an agonizing experience. Specifically, it was as if a thousand daggers scraped against her skin with each swerve of her muscles.
"Fight if you will. The more you resist…the worse it will be. And eventually, your strength will cease to exist…as will your new purpose…permanently…" Kuro cautioned the woman. The haze that had filled the room shifted and curled until it covered her body in a miasma of pure black smoke. It was Kuro's quirk that had kept to the air as a last ditch effort to contain the violent creation that had almost escaped.
"You…I…I've seen you before…" STEM said, turning her head to take in the pale form of Harukaze. Looking him up and down, she took note of his bear inhuman appearance, possessing pitch black chitin-clad arms and legs. The abyss coated eyes he possessed made it all the more clear that this one was different than most. A walking shadow, built for excavating the darkest corners of the world. Her flame drenched eyes widened in apparent recollection. Kuro let out a small laugh in his throat. Of course she recognized him. STEM's consciousness was made possible from Nana Shimura, who was locked away in Deku, and before him, All Might. The same hero who detained him so many years ago. The same god who was brought down to his knees under Harukaze's merciless quirk.
Harukaze clicked his mouth to 'see' STEM. What he saw made the bank robber raise an eyebrow. It was the same look All Might had, back when he still possessed his vision. He didn't understand it then, but he now understood the look.
How can STEM, an entirely new being, have that same face?
That look of contrition.
He shook his mind free of such thoughts. It didn't matter now. Her face was merely a remnant of a person that was no longer living.
"All for One always did love his Nomu…but the procedure to make them…was based on the weapons used in the War of Masks, weapons that to this day, none can ever truly replicate…"
Kuro tilted STEM's face upwards. Kuro clicked his mouth to 'see' her. To take in the face of his weapon with echolocation. She was perfect.
"I was young, but I had eyes then, I was able to see the automatons that destroyed entire battalions. They required a host. Living…or otherwise. You need a body to use as a puppet. But it also requires 'puppet strings' to keep the body altogether."
Diamondeye added to the explanation, coming to an understanding.
"Like any advanced piece of advanced hardware, it needs software to operate it."
Kuro tilted his head towards the tactician.
"Have you noticed the Nomu?" Kuro asked Diamondeye as he bent down towards STEM, rolling her fragile, suffocating body around, nudging her neckline. There were no signs of the stitches from earlier. The signs of beheading on Nana's body were nowhere on STEM's.
Diamondeye's eyes glowed a green tint before turning back to normal. "Yes…I saw the footage when we escaped. The attack against Endeavor some time ago. From my observations, they all possess blackened exteriors. Their brains are normally sticking out, the procedure probably decomposes the cranium during 'nomufication'. They usually lack personality though…and are extremely prone to mindless violence." Diamondeye recited.
"That's because All for One was using artificial materials. That scientist, Kyudai Garaki, is the one who made them, but the compound used to make them is guesswork at best. The necessary essentials are missing. All for One would have used the real thing, but I had already taken all the leftover pieces by then…and was detained before they could discover where I had stored it. Without me, All for One had to improvise using…"
Kuro paused and tilted his head in thought.
"Well…that doesn't matter now." Kuro Harukaze noted as he carved into STEM's scar, taking the smallest drop of blood. The sudden pain made STEM clench her teeth in apparent agitation as she felt Harukaze's sharp talon dig into her flesh. Though strong, his talon was imbued with his quirk inhibiting smoke, allowing it to cut her slowly without stopping. The blood he dug from the small scar glowed a neon red with exposure to the air.
"This…is the genuine article…the lifeblood of a paradise long gone. Ethos." Harukaze said, pointing the neon blood that was on the top of his pointer finger. Diamondeye's jaw inched downward in what could be an indication of surprise before his expression returned to normal.
"And…that was buried there…all this time…" Diamondeye spoke in a hushed tone. Lycant narrowed his eyes at Diamondeye, finding his tone odd.
"It has greater potential than oil…more value than all the world's gold put together. That's what was in those safety deposit boxes. And I took back every last drop from the world who dared to manipulate it. The Nomu were but a glimpse. But STEM…" Kuro explained as he caressed a few stray locks from the now limp woman before him. She appeared to listen to his every word. Like an animal she shuddered to his touch, but her body lacked the strength to move.
With the haze clearing up, the pale woman possessed a facial structure that resembled that of her predecessor, Nana Shimura. The differences consisted of black hair with red highlights, permanently marred by the blood of her original 'donor'. Her eyelids were weighed down by an internal shadowing of her eyelids, acting like eyeshadow. Her irises were a fuming magma color, a mixture of red and orange that blazed in the darkness surrounding her. STEM was weakened by Black Wind's quirk inhibiting properties, but the muscles in her arms and abs were prominent enough to show the strength that she was ready to unleash should she free herself. Thick bulging veins appeared on her biceps as she tried to move, only succeeding in sporadic, pained centimeters of movement.
"She is the real thing…a perfect host, now imbued with the very essence All for One himself never had the chance to possess. A last gift from me for the war ahead. My personal magna opus. The last artifact of Neo Pangaea…" (A/n: 'Magna Opus' Means 'greatest creation', in terms of art.)
STEM's eyes widened with the mentioning of this 'Neo Pangaea'. Her eyes were distant, seeing something else that wasn't there. They then dulled and grew hazy as she slipped into unconsciousness. Her strength faded under the quirk inhibiting properties of Kuro's quirk, as well as overexerting herself from her premature awakening.
Diamondeye's eyes flared a green color as he listened to Kuro's explanation.
"I see…" He said in a whisper. There was nothing more to be said.
Kuro took a deep breath, a bellow that haunted the room. He turned towards Diamondeye.
"Daichi…you have eight hours until STEM arises again. For now…I…need…rest…" Kuro stated before he appeared to stagger.
"…I hear…humming?" Harukaze pointed out. His breathing skipped before his pale form collided against the floor near the unconscious STEM. Kuro was unconscious as well, limp from the damage and extraneous amounts of combat he had sustained with the prison riot. Lycant had to grab him by his black chitin arms to keep him upright.
"Dammit. Is he alright?" Lycant asked with a growl, making Diamondeye remain silent.
"He's completely drained. Between initiating a prison riot, escaping with all of us in his quirk, and now being forced to keep STEM unconscious, I'd say he has pushed himself far beyond his usual limit. You also have to consider that unlike us…he was doused with the most quirk inhibitors. I downloaded his medical records before we escaped. Prisoners are given it twice a day. But for Kuro…he received four per day. I still have yet to uncover why though." Diamondeye explained.
Lycant let out a rumble in his chest. "He stole from the HPSC. That's a suicidal attempt only he would pull off…They probably wanted to make an example of him. Like they did me…"
"Agreed. In your case they chemically castrated you. In his case they wanted to break his quirk down completely. That many quirk inhibitors should have killed him…" Diamondeye nodded.
Lycant narrowed his eyes. "Why not just kill him to get it over with?"
Diamondeye nodded. He spoke with an analytical mind. "It's the same thing I would do if I wanted to keep things quiet. Had Kuro died in Hydra too soon, inspectors would be called in. Remember, he was a key figure of All for One in that time. He was his greatest funder, and potentially his greatest combatant and enforcer. To this day he still has information that is worth a great deal to authorities and international security. If he died within a few years, let's say ten…it could easily be justified as him simply caving into the prison and all the violent undesirables of society. Someone wanted Kuro to die slowly in the prison, and yet he survived. Just as he did as a child, no doubt."
SHATTER
Diamondeye crafted a metal surgery table, shoving aside the other now destroyed chairs and wooden tables that once decorated the headquarters. Lycant placed Harukaze against the metal frame of the table. The mutant looked between Kuro and STEM with a questioning gaze.
"Neo Pangaea…I heard stories about it…I didn't think it was ever real…" Lycant mentioned, sniffing STEM, taking note of her smell for future use.
"A legend in mutant communities, perhaps. But nonexistent to the rest of the world at large. Neo Pangaea is a term you wouldn't find on any map or school…not even through satellite imagery will you find it. It's completely scrapped from global history. Only high ranked HPSC, national hero agency members, wealthy, or politicians may have access to that kind of information. And even then, what information that does exist is extremely limited. It might as well be a story. Old heroes and villains who remain won't speak of it freely. Eyes are everywhere. I speak from experience…after a run in with a very skilled sniper. She's currently at Tartarus, along with All for One, as well as our messenger." Diamondeye pointed out.
Legion Lycant huffed. "Ayumu Endo…"
Diamondeye tilted his head. "That's his current identity, yes…"
Legion Lycant narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Besides being where the War of Masks took place, why hide an entire landscape? The war is long over now. Anyone could easily stumble into it. All it would take is a rowboat and a bit of time."
Diamondeye sighed. His muscles tensed before loosening in a rare shift in body language. "I believe the War of Masks never truly ended. At best, it was put on temporary hold. Currently, the east and west are both involved with keeping outsiders away from its vicinity. To this day if you step past the checkpoint they established, by law, you will be charged with a lifelong federal crime. I know because I was incarcerated for that reason alone. Along with other life sentences for my 'noble' contributions."
Diamondeye looked towards STEM, who was resting against the bloodied and glass stained floor.
"Not even they dare to approach it, they just surround it, waiting. It was an exceptionally large island in the South Atlantic Ocean. Isolated from the world. I've only been there twice. Once during the last battle of the War of Masks, and the day I went back to get Nana's Shimura's body. Sir Nighteye appeared that day and I was incarcerated. It was a losing battle. He was quite a bothersome one…"
Diamondeye looked upwards in thought.
"That was a little more than ten years ago. Upon my detainment, Neo Pangaea seemed to vanish. All word of it is now silent. That was their final attempt at victory. Keep things quiet and under wraps. But silence is not enough. All its inhabitants, fighters and profiteers may be dead but three still remain that have knowledge of Neo Pangaea. All for One, myself, and now…Kuro."
SHATTER
Diamondeye pulled out from his quirk a medkit. His hands fiddled with the surgical wire and bandage wraps.
"But of the three of us, Kuro saw the beginning of the War of Masks and knows Neo Pangaea more than anyone in this world…there's no doubt in my mind that he was born there. The fact he knew its true name is proof enough of his heritage. It's no wonder Kuro still seeks All for One, and wishes to reunite with him. Who else can understand him better than someone who knows war as he does."
"You seem to know an awful lot about Harukaze. A little too much if you ask me…Keep your distance…or I will have to intervene. It's making my senses tingle that he's being stalked under a scope like one of your 'experiments'." Lycant observed, sniffing Diamondeye as he spoke. He was cautious.
Diamondeye tilted his head. "It does help that I read him when we first met…at least until he blocked me out with that bothersome quirk of his. His mind is well guarded from me. I never had to guess so much in all my existence before meeting him. He can be quite bothersome as well…"
Lycant grumbled and stepped towards STEM.
"Sometimes eyes can do nothing but glance…a nose reveals all stories with a whiff."
Lycant sniffed STEM's hair.
"She smells like blood…other than yours when she tore you in half…" Lycant pointed out.
"The blood smell is from her donor, Nana Shimura…the body…and her mind…now repurposed to serve our needs. By the way…I recall what you said about keeping a leash on an Apex." Diamondeye recited to Lycant, mentioning STEM.
Lycant grumbled before answering with a gruff tone. "What about it?"
Diamondeye turned his head a complete 180 degrees, staring directly at Legion Lycant. Sickening cracks and pops could be heard as he gazed at the mutant. It unnerved the canine mutant that a man who bent his neck like that and still lived. All was silent.
"If the need should arise…can you Trance?" Diamondeye asked. His hands still wandered to stitching Kuro's scrapes in a rapid fire movement, undeterred by his conversation with Lycant.
Lycant narrowed his eyes a tad. fists clenched tightly, causing his wrists and muscles to flare in defense.
"Your simplistic deduction from our last conversation was more than correct. Should we lose control, there is no leash in this world that can hold STEM. She's the equivalent of the discovery of 'e=mc'. A living volatile bomb…do you understand?" Diamondeye asked Lycant, a tone of insistence behind his delivery.
Lycant looked at Kuro, as if wishing he would get up before gazing at Diamondeye. He begrudgingly responded. "I could…however…"
Diamondeye nodded in understanding. "I know…you will be bound by your instincts alone. I know you, beast. I know you're the only mutant who still possesses the ability to Trance, who still eats raw human flesh as a result of learning a mutant's true limits during the Bloodied Beast Crusade. You'll seek to kill Kuro during that time, am I correct?"
Lycant averted his eyes, with clear self frustration. "The urges will demand I become alpha by challenging Kuro again, only this time…I won't be able to throw the fight. You seem to know too much about that particular detail…"
Diamondeye continued casually.
"I did sell weapons to many, including your people during that mutant uprising. I've learned many things. I can be your guide…I can give you the clairvoyance that you lack during that time frame. You would just need to let me in the moment you Trance. I know why you asked me for chains earlier. It's because of what's still lingering in your own mind…isn't it? You fear it…"
All was quiet between the wolfman and the walking skeletal man. It was a type of silence where tension was highest. A subtle hostility between the two came to the forefront.
Lycant appeared to be in a rare state of introspection, considering the offer. He then looked at Kuro, before his eyes narrowed. He gazed at Diamondeye with a piercing gaze.
"Don't try to fool me, skull…*growls*. I know when I'm being toyed with. I'll Trance if there's no other way…but only if Kuro himself says the word. No one else…especially you…" Lycant refuted, with his fur sprouting large sharp blades.
"...I do not deny I have my personal reasons for asking, but I suppose this will be for the best. However, remember this, Nakashima, anything could happen in the heat of battle…plans change all the time…"
GROWLS
Lycant bore his fangs towards Diamondeye. Hot air pillowed from the inside of his mouth due to the high amount of temperature practically boiling inside of his thick build.
"I don't want to hear anymore of your…less than subtle threats. You reek of half truths and outright bullshit…You act as if you have me figured like prey. You are not as clever as you think you are, boneman. While you were busy working on your little 'hamster', I surveyed the area. I picked up on the trail to Musutafu Medical Facility from some thrown away syringes in the sewer line. The moment he wakes, I'll tell Kuro about the fact that his smell is a close match to the trail I found-"
WHOO
Lycant found himself pausing in place. An unseeable force gripped his being. It was something that made his fur stand stiff. Something big. It was like an echo that emanated from everywhere, but had no real source. It made no logical sense and made the beast anxious about this unusual presence that rendered him paralyzed.
"…How are you…You never could reach my mind before!" Lycant heaved for breath. Each breath was a struggle to carry out. His fur began shifting in place, a visible sign of irritation. The canines' face was snarling with growing resistance, but a stabbing sensation resonating within his canine mind immobilized him.
"I believe you misunderstood me…I still can't scan you because you never let me in. But sending pain onto another is elementary…for mutants at least. Your extraordinary sense of hearing makes you easily susceptible to the pitch of sonic waves…" Diamondeye stated before he pulled from Harukaze. Kuro's wounds were already perfectly stitched with bandages on the immediate wounds done to his person.
"I should kill you…" Lycant said as he began forcing himself upright with his fur hide extending towards Diamondeye slowly. Though he couldn't move, his quirk still could push though. Red cracks could be seen on Lycant's eyes, as an indicator of his growing rage. Lycant was defiance incarnate.
Before the blades could meet Diamondeye's eyes, his blue gaze shifted into red. The broken lighting of the room began flashing rapidly, sizzling on and off whilst electric sparks could be seen emanating by the stray wiring.
"you Will DO no suCh THing, mOnGReL. YOu WILL remAIn sILeNT UNTiL wE ReCEIvE ThE TargetS aS pLaNnEd. i'Ll nOt haVE HiS GrOWTh hAmpeREd By A misgUiDed hOuNd Whose Only vAlUe IS MIndlESs SlAugHtEr."
"I knew it…you're hiding something from him. And I think I know what it is! Musutafu Medical Facility has something relating to him doesn't it? Why else would a smell like his be all over those hastily thrown medical supplies. He…he deserves to know!" Legion Lycant stated. A bladed hound peeled itself from his furry frame. It lunged at Diamondeye
SHING
Diamondeye used his custom made rapier to pierce the hound through the head, causing the sentient quirk to dissolve into stray fur patches.
"YOU, Who kNows NOthing OF WhAt IS aT staKe, WIll noT diCtatE thE PaCInG of tHIS jOURNEY. Lycant, gritted his teeth before he bit into his own hand.
TEAR
"I will…not let you hurt Harukaze…" Lycant snarled with his hand slowly bleeding.
The taste of his own blood made Lycant let out a muffled whimper, closing his eyes tightly. Upon opening them, Lycant's sickly yellow eyes possessed a notable glow in them. The whites of his sclera were completely red. His bladed hide began arching, with his body slightly bulging with a growth in muscularity. Three of his sentient fur hounds steadily peaked their heads from Lycant's back, bearing larger than usual bodies.
In response, Diamondeye's bones notably began shifting. The calcium exoskeleton he possessed began spiking, turning transparent with a crystal-like texture. The room began slowly freezing, with bits of crystalline frost staining the bloodied tiles. Some of it even touched STEM. Before the two transitions could continue, a voice mumbled.
An encroaching battle between monsters was steadily fanned with their growing hostility.
"Shiro…" Harukaze weakly groaned. Though unconscious, his voice alone knocked the two from their respective full, yet unknown, capabilities.
Diamondeye calmed down. His red eyes became blue again, with his exoskeleton returning to a normal bone-like texture. Lycant spat out his own blood, towards a lone corner. The blood sizzled and burnt against the walls of the makeshift headquarters. Lycant's sclera became white again.
"We will not speak of this again. Press me and I will deal with you as I once did to many others like you during the Bloodied Beast Crusade. Trancing is the least of your concern, your kind nearly reached genocide because your original 'alpha' didn't heed my warning, just as you are now. It wasn't battle that took his life, it was his own madness that condemned him to death."
Lycant gritted his teeth as his bladed fur edged closer to Diamondeye. An unfathomable hatred lit in his eyes that stared Diamondeye down at the mention of his original alpha.
"Let me enlighten you, dog. I know you. I've seen those same eyes before. You are just as rebellious and ill tempered as your 'alpha' was. Just as they all were before they were all put down like sport. Your kind once sought me out during their Trance, but were too easily slain by my blade in a single thrust. Warriors brought down like amateurs, by their own insanity no less."
Lycant narrowed his eyes.
"You…you killed my kind?"
"I tried to preserve your kind, but by then it was too late. Theirs was an insanity born from the War of Masks. It's that same insanity that spreaded like a plague among all the other 'true mutants' you speak of. Do you want to know why? It's because your people, your elders were soldiers there after all, and in the trenches of that horrid place, they learned how to Trance because of it. A mere glimpse of what now infests Neo Pangaea. You exist as you do now because of that war. As does Narcissia."
Lycant's rage quieted. "What? Narcissia?"
"Oh yes…I have noticed your quirks. The way both your quirks operate is abnormal, even among the most powerful quirks. They are quirks that don't belong in this age. It's like staring at an extinct species that miraculously resurfaced. A mutant like you shouldn't even have a quirk to begin with. It defies all quirk sciences. The few mutants who fought in the War of Masks came back different, bearing mutant based quirks that grow with every kill they consume. Trance is the result of that practice. It's why mutants are given behavioral tablets since birth, to prevent whatever triggers this change, as well as what makes a mutant unlock the ability to Trance. It was shocking when I first met one…and was part of the reason I went to Neo Pangaea. How could I not be curious?"
Diamondeye coughed into his hand before he relented.
"Know this...I will do no harm to Kuro, but when the time comes, I will not shelter him from the truth. All of it. Not like All for One did to Shigaraki. With Shigaraki, All for One turned the only grandson of Nana Shimura into a rogue husk, a deranged parody of his own pride. With Kuro, I will make him realize his own purpose beyond being a lowly henchman, to make this world remember the history we lost all those years ago. A history only he and his brother knew."
Lycant narrowed his eyes.
"A history you know as well."
Diamondeye stared at Lycant, before he silently walked over and picked up STEM, plopping her onto a nearby wooden table. It was to keep her from the ground, as well as to keep her within his sights.
"Only rumors by comparison. You may know war, beast, but Kuro was born from the unexplored regions of this world entirely. Where all miracles and curses coexist and continue to gather despite the worlds' attempts at silencing it. Neo Pangaea was more than a simple plot of land, it was the one place where our whole society of 'quirks' was nearly undone during the War of Masks. The epicenter where all with 'quirks' go to die. It was originally the only paradise our world knew, now fueled by war and bloodlust that can never be quenched. It corrupts all who venture to that forbidden place. That's something no hero, villain, or rabid dog will ever understand. The War of Masks will continue so long as Kuro breathes. He is the only one who survived where all others perished, who knows what happened at Neo Pangaea and why it was attacked. This knowledge makes him wanted by enemies on all fronts, from heroes and villains alike. I will make sure Kuro lives long enough to reach that truth for himself. This…this is my mission."
The ringing in Lycant's ears stopped. The canine was stunned, reeling in from what the skull faced elder spoke of. It shook him to his core. The beast stood up and looked at Diamondeye with an imperceivable expression. Both were silent before Lycant nodded. Lycant peeked at STEM. Looking at Harukaze, Lycant let out a heavy exhale.
"You talk too much…I get it…I hate keeping secrets all the same…if the bitch awakes…whistle for me." Lycant said as understanding filled his predatory eyes.
Diamondeye nodded back to the mutant as he left, closing the door behind him before he let out a tired sigh. His body slumped as he let out a small heave for breath.
"*cough*cough* I must admit, I don't know how you do it, Kuro. Unlike you, I could never be a leader…just a guide for some…and a ferryman for others. For the dog, I was nearly the latter. I now know why you keep him close. He's a good dog and a loyal comrade who's seen the world drenched in blood." He placed his hand on the unconscious Kuro's shoulder.
"Rest easy Kuro, it will probably be the last time you get to rest. What comes next…it will break you. But in doing so, I will make sure you discover what you seek…even if it means usurping All for One himself…"
Diamondeye looked upwards, and noticed that the ceiling had a gaping hole. It was about the size of a fist. He turned to STEM, looking at the scar on her face.
"A piece…is missing?"
Diamondeye's gems shifted to red as he turned towards Harukaze, noticing the small bit of Ethos that stained Harukaze's talon, had sunk deep into his chitin coated skin, dissipating as if it never existed.
Diamondeye stiffened and stalked towards Harukaze's cranium.
"Forgive me Kuro...this is an emergency..."
Diamondeye reached his hand and placed it on Harukaze's head.
"Perhaps after this…you can trust me enough about that 'torch' you spoke of…"
-Unknown Location-
Two eyes looked around in confusion. Surrounding their locations was a deep out of blackness. A hum emanated within, as if it possessed a life of its own.
'Do you want to be a hero?' A voice asked. The eyes turned in recognition of the voice. With an excited smile the eyes glistened in enthusiasm, completely ignoring the darkness that surrounded him.
"I…I do! With all my heart!" A voice emanated from the lone wanderer. A driven tone etched in its delivery. It belonged to a boy.
'Do you want to be strong!' The voice asked again. It sounded familiar. Like it came from a man, one responsible for an entire age of heroes. The greatest hero himself. Possessing blonde hair stylized with two tufts of hair that were shaped like rabbit ears. It was All Might. He was currently standing in front of the boy with a triumphant pose and smile.
"Definitely! I want to be strong enough to save the world!" The young determined boy stated. Ambition and drive stemmed from the young voice. His fair skin was as vibrant as his voice, casting a faint pulse of light inside the deep trenches of this abyss. His green eyes looked upon the legendary hero with admiration and focus.
'But you can't save everyone…' The hero said, a somber tone etched in each word. He was looking downward.
"Then I'll save as many as I can!" The young boy stated. There was an unmovable strength in his voice. He refused to flee from adversity.
'Who do you think you're fooling?' The hero asked with a rare tone of resentment. Seething irritation lingered in his deep vocal chords. His usual smile gave away to bared fangs.
"Huh?" The young voice asked confusedly.
'How can you call yourself a hero…' The bitter hero asked. A cruelty stemmed from the utterance of their words. As if trying to make them cut the boys will.
"But…All Might…I…" The young boy defended. He seemed unnerved by seeing All Might this way. What was wrong?
'I said-
'-HOW CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A HERO?!' The hero screamed. His voice was booming, banging against the eardrums of any who would listen.
"W-what? I just…" The young boy stammered, a sudden chill went up his spine. His green locks stood up in response to his growing nervousness.
'HOW?! HOW?! HOW?!' The bitter hero roared, as if demented. All Might spoke as if possessed by madness.
"I…I do want to be a hero!" The youthful boy reaffirmed. He had small tears dripping to the edge of his eyes as his fear overwhelmed him in the face of a large man screaming at him unprovoked.
'HOW CAN YOU, A QUIRKLESS, SAVE ANYONE?!' All Might exclaimed.
…
…
…
A quiet filled the black void. The green haired child was stunned and found his words caught in his throat.
He turned around to run away. He didn't have an answer. Facing in front of him was a bleak expanse of black. A notable hiss stemmed from within. Someone, or something, was there waiting for him.
"YoU Can't Even SAvE yoURSeLf…" An ominous voice spoke towards the green eyed boy. It was a chilling voice, etched in the fires of conquest, hardened by the many lives the person possessing this garbled voice had taken, indirectly and otherwise.
"I…I don't know…" The green haired boy said with shaking eyes.
"WiTleSs liTtLe bOy…" The ominous voice states, as footsteps echoed.

Bones clicked across the grand emptiness, stepping towards the source of the young voice. The sound haunted the green haired child.
"hErO oR ViLlaIn…yOu boTh mAke eXceLleNt pIeCes to My cOlLeCtIoN."
Blood red gemstones shone through the darkness. The edges of a skull-like face can be seen underneath the glow of the blood diamond gaze, highlighted by the color of blood. Like a lighthouse the rays of the glowing diamonds fixated upon the boy, making his knees buckle in instinctual fear.
"You?!" The youthful voice stated. It was Deku. His face possessed his usual steely brave gaze. His spirit remained intact in response to the gem-eyed villain.
GIKUGIKUGIKIGIKUGIKUGIKUGIKIGIKUGIKUGIKUGIKIGIKUGIKUGIKUGIKIGIKUGIKUGIKUGIKIGI
The ominous sounds of bones cracking and dancing behind the blood eyes monstrosity sent chills in the young boys' spine. This made him raise his fists in a fighting position.
Deku was surprised when his hands were missing. In their place were two stumps with bones sticking out. Fresh blood leaked from the stumps, making Deku pale at the shocking fact he had endured such terrible wounds for this attempted fight.
Deku stumbled backwards as he stepped back from the figure before him.
"D-Diamondeye…" Deku said with a shaking voice.
"DiAmOnDEYE…" Diamondeye repeated.
Deku shook with fear in his childlike body as the skeleton stalked towards him.
"YoU fOolS aNd YoUr ObSeSsioN wItH nAmeS…tiTles dEvOiD Of aLl mEAniNg…" Diamondeye stated.
Deku bumped his back into something. He immediately turned around and noticed a silhouette standing before him.
"All that begins…must also end…"
A shaved head, with pure black eyes that gazed upon him like a hunter to its intended prey. It was Kuro Harukaze.
"All roads…lead to where it all began…"
For some odd reason Harukaze's pure black eyes bled a steady stream black blood. Like tears they dropped down his face as he gazed towards Deku. He stepped towards him as Deku stared in fear. A sheer paralyzing stiffness took hold of his body.
Deku was stunned by a prickly sensation against his cheek, as if he scraped himself on a pile of needles.
A growl snarled from within the abyss. He couldn't see what it was that he bumped into but it appeared to be massive in size. A tail flowed as a deep guttural snarl emanated from it.
"Our roads take us to War…" The silhouette stated.
A cocky laugh emanated next to the large growling silhouette. Nearby another silhouette, a woman. She slowly sauntered with each movement being sly and deceitful in their gait.
"Where Plagues spread far and wide…"
Diamondeye gripped Deku in place. His skeletal hand gripped him by the throat.
"Where Conquest reigns eternal…"
A black smoke hand pulled Deku towards Harukaze. His bleeding black eyes stared into his with an abnormally wide eyed expression. All was silent as he spoke.
" Where all that remains is DeAtH…" The bank robber stated.
Deku was able to force himself off of Harukaze as he was surrounded by the four ominous figures. Two known to him, and the other two completely unknown to him.
"Death to humanity…" The beast silhouette snarled.
"But we are all human, you would have to kill yourself as well!" Deku argued.
"Death to authority…" The female silhouette stated.
"Without order or rules, there's only chaos!" Deku debated.
"Death to morality…" Diamondeye said.
"A world without morals is a world without hope or mercy." Deku said back.
" Death to One…for…All…" Harukaze echoed.
"The world needs One for All to stop people like you!" Deku roared back.
A quiet filled the void. The three forms besides Harukaze disappeared into black wisps of smoke. They swirled around Harukaze with a rapid speed, growing and spreading farther with each swerve.
Deku was stunned as a large pitch black avatar stood before him. Harukaze was the epicenter of this large gargantuan living hurricane. He stood unmoving within the large mass of molded smoke.
It appeared to be in the shape of a man. It was drenched in a miasma of pitch black wisps that shaped itself as an embodiment of Harukaze's perfected control of his quirk. Odd enough, small white particles stemmed from the outline of the large construct made by the felon. Unlike a flame, where each blade of heat turned into smoke, this pitch black avatar of destruction was made of smoke that turned into white embers. Its embers dissipated into sheer nothingness. Harukaze's body was obscured within the overwhelming living torrent, becoming one with this massive irregular form. Deku couldn't reach him due to the velocity of the winds that circled him.
'This quirk…this is…unreal!'
The large smoke avatar displayed a set of large talons, each the size of a small building. Before Deku could react, the large amalgamation of deadly black smoke swung with a clean high velocity swipe towards Deku.
SHING
"GET UP!" A strong voice called out to Deku. Immediately, the boy felt a jolt go up his spine. Deku was no longer in an abyss, trapped with the unseen villains that haunted him. He was in the presence of his predecessors, surrounded by a blaring white background.
"What? What's wrong with me?" Deku said as he clasped his forehead. He felt an odd combination of dizzy and hypervigilance, as if waking from a dream while still bearing a powerful headache.
"What do you think is wrong? We got our asses kicked out of us, that's what!" The rough voice of Daigoro Banjo said as he offered a hand to Deku. Deku took the offered hand, but found that his legs were limp.
"That was intense…I didn't think anyone could get inside here of all places…this was supposed to be the one place we could meet undisturbed." The calm voice of the smokescreen user En ssid. His red half mask obscured his concern for Deku as well as their current state of affairs.
Deku observed the long deceased users of One for All. Each of them appeared to be brutalized, with scratches, cuts and tears on their being.
"W-What happened to you guys?! You look-"
"We tried to hold him off…the skeleton man. He was trying to get to you, more specifically, your mind. Each time we resisted…he tried to break us." En stated.
Daigoro Banjo sighed. "I don't care what you call him, but it is anything but human. He broke through whatever we threw at him. I don't know anyone with a quirk like his. If you can even call it a quirk. The way he uses it, it's almost limitless. Drained me out just trying to avoid all the things he tossed my way."
En nodded in agreement. The smoke user added "At first we were able to hold him off all together well enough. Nana…she was the one who led us during the fight. But then he adapted. Quickly. He separated us the moment he figured out our combat roles. He made me relive my death again and again. It hurt each time, as if I had never died. Each one felt as painful as I remember…"
Daigoro Banjo grumbled. "Whenever I used my quirk on him, I couldn't get a grab on him, but for some reason he had no trouble manhandling me through the city in my memories…or what's left of them."
Daigoro Banjo and En saw Hikage Shinomori step towards the group.
"He used my own quirk against me. I never felt anything like it, as if everything was meant to end just from meeting his eyes with my own. There's something…off about him. His eyes…I was the first to crack before I knew it. I always had a sense for danger, but he played mind games that made me more paranoid than efficient in a fight." The danger sense using vestige stated.
"I honestly thought I was the first to break. I didn't have a quirk after all…to defend myself with…" A voice stated. Deku looked at the source of the voice. His eyes widened.
There was Yoichi Shigaraki, the first user of One for All. His usual silver hair that obscured his left eye was stained and matted with dried blood. His left hand was encrusted in diamonds that jingled with each movement.
"Yoichi! Oh my God! What happened to you?!" Deku said.
"That man who somehow stepped into your mind…Diamondeye…he…kept me in some sort of paralysis. I couldn't fight him since I was all alone, locked in a cage. He literally split me into pieces. Each time he cut my limbs off, I would reforge again. I think he knew he couldn't 'kill' me, so he kept…asking me strange questions. Questions I don't have the answers for." Yoichi stated. His arm dropped blood when he flexed it, with the diamond shards stabbing deep into his skin. He hissed in pain.
"Even now these shards still haven't gone away. The more I resisted, the more he started…changing. First, his eyes became red. After I resisted he tried to break me mentally, forcing me to relive my death, followed by the deaths of others who I cherished. When I resisted that, he froze my hand and dug these shards into my skin. When I resisted that…"
Yoichi paused, as if lost in his thoughts before he closed his eyes and released an exhale of breath to calm his nerves. He finished.
"And then I woke up here…I was sure I was done for…then these two came for me."
Yoichi pointed to the two other vestiges of Bruce and Kudo. Though currently unknown to Deku, they were the two soldiers who had saved Yoichi since times long past, in life and now as vestiges of One for All.
Bruce narrowed his eyes. "By the time we went to save him, that walking skeleton made his way to you."
Kudo added. "Nana went in after him, the rest I'm sure you already know by now.
Deku let out a sigh of relief that the other vestiges were safe. But there was one thing on his mind.
"All Might…" Deku mumbled. His eyes were mildly misty from what Diamondeye said.
-Flashback Chapter: 34-
"Final deduction: 83%. Known donors: Daigoro Banjo, deceased. Toshiyori Yagi, deceased."
Deku stood in place, as his world stopped. Even the guiding voice of Nana Shimura seized, her voice was silent.
"What…what did you say?! All Might…is dead?!
-Flashback Ended-
Deku sniffled on reflex. The loss of the battle weighed on his mind, as well as the loss of his master, his mentor, and close friend. All Might was a positive role model in life, and to hear of his demise weighed heavily on his heart.
"I know his loss was a tragedy, but we can't focus on that now." Kudo said, understanding his feelings, but needing to be strong. Bruce nodded with them, since both were soldiers in life.
Daigoro Banjo grabbed Deku by the collar and shook him. "We can't quit now kid! If All Might is gone then you need to keep fighting to save Nana!"
Deku's green eyes widened. There was truth in Daigoro Banjo's voice. "Y-you're right…we can't allow Diamondeye to take her."
Yoichi groaned as he flexed his arm. Bits of blood dropped from the gem stabbed arm. "I don't exactly know what they intend to do with her without you. Regardless, I can't help but agree. The only question left is how do we leave this place?
Hikage Shinomori turned to his left. "There's something that my quirk has been picking up. Perhaps from the outside?"
Daigoro Banjo bellowed. "It better not be that bastard looking to finish us off."
Deku took a whiff with his nostrils. "Huh? Anyone else picking up that smell?"
Yoichi tilted his head. "A smell? I don't smell anything."
Bruce added. "Neither do we."
Deku looked at the other vestiges. Noticing that they all shook their heads in their negative. It was only Deku picking up the smell.
"Well…it smells like…flowers?" Deku said as he recited the smell he picked up. It was an odd feeling to pick up smells whilst with the vestiges but it was a sign that he still had some form of consciousness left.
"I feel…warm…" Deku said. He then felt his body lurch through the white ground, literally diving deep away from the vestiges of One for All who looked alarmed by his abrupt fall.
Yoichi reached for Deku. "Deku!" He called out in worry as the boy fell downward, deep into the white expanse of this chasm. The Vestiges found themselves also falling along with the boy, sporadically waving and flailing around as they fell.
The white background steadily darkened as they went, drifting into a deep pit of blackness that obscured their vision.
Deku, landing on the ground, was startled when he landed. He was glad that in this odd state, there was no sense of gravity that would have rendered him a bloodied stain.
Looking up, he noticed the other vestiges landing next to him. With a quick movement he caught Yoichi, considering the first wielder of One for All was still reeling in from the diamond shards lodged into his arm.
Deku gasped for breath from the last ditch save. "Are you okay?"
Yoichi sighed. "Yeah. All things considered. Thank you."
Placing him onto his feet, Deku looked upwards and found nothing but darkness.
"What the hell do you think is going on?" Daigoro asked Hikage, hoping to get an answer for the oddness of this situation.
"So far…nothing. But it's dark here. It would be best if we stayed close." Hikage said, prompting the other vestiges to gather.
Deku looked around the black chasm. It resembled the vision he had earlier, the one with Harukaze and Diamondeye. He still didn't understand the source of such an odd thing. He has never had that level of dreamlike imagery before.
SFX: BREATHE IN
SFX: BREATHE OUT
Deku felt the hairs on his back stiffen upwards.
SFX: BREATHE IN
SFX: BREATHE OUT
Hikage turned around. "Be on guard…my quirk just spiked…"

Kudo and Bruce were looking around, narrowing their eyes to see what was waiting for them here.
The sound of clicking was heard echoing from behind Daigoro, who clenched his fist as he looked over his shoulder. "Show yourself!" The irate Black Whip user exclaimed as he pressed Deku behind him. "Get behind me kid. You're already in a bad enough condition as it is." Warned the shaved headed fifth user of One for All.

Deku felt cold sweat on his face. This sensation felt like the calm before the storm. An incoming typhoon was lingering in this abyss.
All was quiet. A few tense second pass without a sound. The vestiges of the stockpiling quirk were at the ready, in a circular formation that enabled them to watch each other's backs.

"In the shadows of our world…stray lights are easily snuffed out…"
Deku widened his eyes as he took note of a lean figure approaching.
"It seems trespassers have entered…even in a place like this…"
Pale and obscure, practically a living desecration of all that was normal in a world of heroes and villains. An abnormality that had somehow found its way here.
The form of Harukaze appeared. He sniffed the area.
"You should be dead…Izuku…" Harukaze stated with an ominous tone, his voice garbled in his tongueless quirk-enhanced manner of speech that boomed across the room. His blind charcoal eyes gazed in Izuku's general direction. A growing wind could be heard whistling around Deku and the vestiges. Deku's eyes were wide, in sheer shock.
"H-Harukaze?!"
