Coming to the room where all the alien artifacts are, Ace knocks out the man, "you have to tell me how you did that."
"I can show you later," Ace responds, her voice lowering a bit.
"I would rather be awake when I am around you." Ryan groans at the flirting.
"Can the two of you hold out on the flirting, you are making Ryan uncomfortable." Yaz says over her shoulder as she grabs some of the artifacts. They make it back to the car and quickly get in. Ace tries to get into the driver's seat but Tegan doesn't let her.
"I know your driving either Kate or I will drive, get back and sit next to Graham and try to keep your clothes on."
"TEGAN." Ace yells at her friend.
"That's right you haven't even shared a kiss with the man when it is clear as day that the two of you like each other." Tegan gets in the passenger side and hands the keys to Kate.
"Everything ok Ace," Graham asks her as she sits down beside him.
"We have a few things to talk about away from prying ears."
"I agree Ace O'Brien." Graham chuckles.
"I will give my reply to that when we are alone," Ace sneaks her hand into Graham's and they are silent the rest of the ride glancing at their interlocked hands not realizing that Tegan has looked at them through the rearview mirror a few times. When they arrive back at UNIT, Tegan sees Nyssa's car.
"I think your wife is here," Ace teases Tegan.
"And you were holding hands with your, whatever Graham is to you."
"One of my best friends."
"Graham, what is Ace to you?" Tegan asks the man who has been silent most of the ride.
He looks into Ace's eyes, "she is my best friend."
"What about your other friends?"
"They stopped talking to me when I couldn't answer them what I was doing for those few years following Grace's death."
"Didn't they want you to move on," Ryan asks.
"They did," looking back at Ace, "I wasn't ready to move on then. I hadn't met someone that made me think it was possible."
Tegan getting a smile on her face, "and now?"
Not missing a beat and still looking into Ace's eyes, "I feel like I have now."
"Tegan why don't you go see why your wife is here, Yaz, Ryan please help me unload everything. Ace and Graham," the spell broken, both look over to Kate. "You two need to see what is going on and investigate that spark. Remember the psychic paper revealed that you two like each other." Kate walks away from them followed by Tegan, Yaz and Ryan.
"Let's take a walk Ace." Graham points to a small pathway leading away from UNIT.
"Lets," Ace grabs Graham's hand again and they move on down the path. "Is this ok?"
"More than ok." After walking a few blocks in silence they come to a park bench and sit down. "How much have you been thinking about what the psychic paper said today?" Graham is still in shock about what it said when Ace was holding it.
"A lot, it said you liked me."
"I do like you. I like you a lot. It also gave you my last name."
"Are you freaked out by that?"
"No, if I am honest, if I would want to give anybody my last name besides Ryan, it would be you." Graham and Ace both look away from each other then look at each other. "So what do we do?"
"I have an idea," Ace gets a small smile on her lips, drops Graham's hand and brings both of her hands to rest on his cheeks and brings her lips to his. Their lips touch in a tentative first kiss. When they break, "how was that?"
"It was," Graham can't find the words.
"That bad?" Ace, getting nervous that the kiss and what the psychic paper said wasn't right removed her hands from Graham's cheeks and looks away.
"The exact opposite really." Graham now grabs Ace's cheeks and brings her in for another kiss, this one is a little more explorative with tongues reaching out and intermingling. Both melt into the kiss when they need to breathe their mouths separate, but they don't move far from each other. "Does this make us?" Graham moves his thumbs up and down along Ace's cheeks.
"An us. I would like that if you do?"
"Ace, I more than like that."
"What should we tell everyone?"
"I don't know." Ace licks her lips and Graham smiles and goes in for another kiss. "Though if we keep doing that and they come looking for us; we won't need to tell them anything."
"I like that idea. I also like kissing you."
"You already figured that out? We just had our first kiss."
"And our second and our third."
"We are about to have our fourth."
"Yippie." Ace laughs and kisses Graham again. They stay like that for a few minutes when they break apart. "Should we head back?"
"We should," Ace gets up and holds out her hand and Graham takes it. They walk back to UNIT.
"Want to go out on a date this Saturday?" He asks her out.
"I would love to go on a date with you. What do you want to do?"
"I have a few ideas, though it will be a surprise to you."
"I do need to know the time and dress code."
"Hmm."
"What are you thinking?"
"Thinking of everything I have seen you in and what and what would be the best for the date."
Ace stops and looks at him, "the smile?"
"Just appreciating your beauty."
"What have I done?"
"What do you mean?"
"You are trying to impress me?"
"Trying to flirt a little bit and just speaking the truth, you are beautiful."
"You are good at flirting."
"You are on a different level with your nimble fingers comment."
"There is more where that came from, just you wait."
"Oh I will." They continue walking on.
