Nyx quickly ran into her home, quickly running into Jade's lab. "Jade! JADE! I need some help with something! How do I program stuff?! I don't know anything about coding or… or… oh… uh…" Nyx looked around, seeing that she wasn't there. She didn't notice the white striped Basculin in a makeshift aquarium that she had made.
She peeked into the simulation room and saw that no one was in it. She scratched her head and walked around. "Hellooooo? Jaaaaade!" She called out. "...I could've sworn she would be back."
"Oh, she's just taking a shower!"
"Ah, okay… wait, who said that?"
"Ahehehehehehe~"
Nyx looked around weirded out before King Boo appeared before her. "Whoa!"
"Hiya!"
"...Wait a second… you're that King Boo from Delfino, aren't you?"
"The very same, yes!" He nodded.
"Wh-what are you doing here?" She asked.
"Ah, simple. Jade had a Boo problem up in Mushroom City and I was haunting Luigi's casino. Ya know, for fun! She finds a white striped Basculin and starts relaying her problems to which I decided to help her out. And, well, decided to do a little therapy sesh with her."
"...A Boo doing therapy?" Nyx sweatdropped.
"It's a lot more common than you think!" He chuckled.
"Noted."
"Plus, after that, I decided to crash her and haunt the place. It's rather nice!"
"...So you're gonna stay here?"
"Yup!"
"Oh boy… well uh… just try not to invade people's personal bubbles."
"You can count on me!" He saluted where at that moment, Jade opened the bathroom door where Nyx would see there were some bags under her eyes.
"Um… you okay?" Nyx asked with concern.
"I still feel dirty…" Jade shuddered. "King Boo's back-"
"Yeah, I just met him."
"Not him, the other one…"
"Ooooh. Hmm, we gotta come up with a name for this guy-"
"My name's actually Rouboo, just pointing that out there." He spoke up.
"Neeever mind." Nyx chuckled. "You were saying?"
"King Boo? A few of his followers invaded our home several months ago and one of them… went inside me and possessed me."
"...They can do that?!" Nyx said in shock right as Myra walked in. "I thought they were just pranksters at best!"
"Nope… and then he had me go into the basement, grab the painting with King Boo and then moved to the forest where there was a ritual… where they… had me cut my hand and used my own blood to bring him out of the painting."
Myra blinked. "What…?" She wondered before spotting Rouboo. "Wait, Rouboo, is that you?"
"Eyyyy, Myra! Haven't seen you in centuries!" He said as he went over to haunt her. "How ya been!"
"Still adjusting…"
"Good enough!"
"Ugh… I still feel violated…" Jade groaned before turning her head to glare at Myra.
"Hey, deep breath…" Nyx said, putting her hand on her shoulder. "Plus, I have the final say on her, you know that, right?"
"I know…" Jade sighed. "I know she's not doing anything wrong, I just… can't bring myself to get past that…"
"It's going to take a while, but she can stay as long as she needs… besides, as far as I know, her old home she lived in is gone. Just be civil with her, okay?"
"Whatever…" Jade mumbled.
"By the way, I think we need to do some renovations in this house. It's getting a bit too crowded."
"Is it?"
"I mean, we got my room, yours, the twins, and Iris. Rantaro's using the guest room which is pretty much his room now, and then of course, Futaba likes to crash here… and of course, Ruby and Chiaki likes to hang out here sometimes where they sleep on the couch… then there's the basement which holds your lab and then, of course, the simulation room where we're still figuring out Chiaki's bitchy counterpart. Myra, of course, is sleeping in my room… we gotta expand. I'm not claustrophobic, but I'm definitely feeling cramped. Especially considering Rouboo's haunting us."
"He's fine…" Jade said as she pulled out a blueprint. "Okay, let's see what we can do and then I'll have Futaba use the staff. How do you feel about a two story building?"
"...Jade, my home's already a two story building. Did you mean three story? Also, let's try not to turn this into a mansion… people'll get curious if you know what I mean."
"Oh, right… my bad…" Jade shook her head. "Sorry, I'm just… not with it right now."
"Hey… we're here for you." Nyx gave her a reassuring smile.
"Right…" Jade nodded. "Now let's-"
"Also, uh… you really want to use a blueprint in just a towel?"
"Huh…? Oh, I thought I was already dressed…" Jade blushed. "I'll be right back…" She walked off to her room.
"Is she… okay?" Myra asked.
"Honestly… I don't think she's in the right state of mind right now." Nyx said and turned to her. "Don't worry, you didn't have anything to do with it."
"I sure hope not…" Myra frowned.
Back with the heroes…
BGM: Cave Dwelling Cats: Felyne Shelter (Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin)
Seryu examined her work and smiled widely. "Yes, this is perfect!" She said as she picked up the weapon and headed over to Sheele. "Ooooh baaabe~! I got something for you~!"
"Hmm?" Sheele opened her eyes from her sleep, letting out a yawn as she picked up her glasses. "What is it?"
Seryu smiled, handing her her weapon. "Ta-dah~! Extase Omega!"
"Omega?" Sheele wondered as she picked it up as she swung it around. "This feels about the sa-" Her thumb pressed a button inside the handle, where the blades of the scissors opened up in a square-like position as a cannon appeared on the inside, with some electricity pouring out. "Oh!"
"Yeeeeah… I might have turned your scissors into a railgun." Seryu rubbed her head. "Now whenever you shout "Extase", well, the railgun will shoot out blinding bolts of electricity, so you can pretty much electrically blind your enemies!"
"I'm… not sure how I feel about my weapon being made for killing-"
"Says the woman who cut through rogue bandits in Solitas a few weeks ago?"
Sheele sweatdropped. "Good point."
"Besides, the railgun's not meant for killing, it's more… paralyzing the hell out of your enemies so they won't get away. Perfect for those you wanna interrogate~!"
Sheele giggled, strapping it behind her back. "I love it anyway." She smiled as the two embraced one another. "Thank you, Seryu…"
"Anytime." She smiled, both of them looking into each other's eyes.
"We're back!" Orgo said as they walked in.
"Hmm? Oh, look at that! Seryu remade Sheele's weapon!" Ruby smiled. "Atta girl, Seryu!"
"...Don't think she can hear you in that make out session." Mahiru chuckled before glancing over to look at Weiss's monstie. "Whoa! Is that a Seregios?"
"It is." Mine nodded as Mahiru took a picture of it.
"Hmm… wonder how Azure will take it when we rescue him. As I recall, Ibuki told me a Seregios killed his mother back in your first space adventure."
"This one's different." Weiss said. "...Though I really have come full circle."
"So… what next?" Navirou wondered.
"Hmmm…" Orgo had his arms folded. "You were tellin' me about Ratha's Wings of Ruin on our way back… and it reminded me of something. I dunno if it has any destructive wings, but a long time ago, there was a Rathalos with an unbelievable power. Its legend is written on a monument in some old village."
Ena perked up. "Where's the village?"
"Beyond the Terga Volcano is what I've heard. Maybe you can figure somethin' out about Ratha there."
"Sounds like it's worth checking out." Kora said with Navirou nodding.
"Hmm, there's a village called Nua Te in that region. But I've heard it's even more secluded than Rutoh." Ena explained.
"We gotta go, right? We might learn something about Ratha!" Navirou said.
"True. This is no time for dithering." Ena agreed.
"This is where we split up for now." Tsukino said. "We'll keep investigating the pits. We'll be sure to let you know if we procure any new intel."
"If you see any masked Riders, be careful… they might be after Ratha." Kyle warned. "Or, worse, probably Weiss or Seryu for that matter."
Kyle turned around. "Tsukino, let's move out."
"Right. See you later!" Tsukino waved.
"...And Zinnia." Kyle spoke up. "Don't go dying on me with your shenanigans."
"I could say the same thing about you, Edgy." Zinnia gave him a teasing wink.
"Hmph." Kyle smirked before walking away, simply waving goodbye.
"Now then, I can take you as far as the volcano." Orgo said. "As soon as you're ready, we'll go."
"I think we're set." Mine said, glancing over at Seryu and Sheele who were still making out. "Oi, lovebirds! You can continue makin' love in another room! Let's go!"
Seryu broke the kiss. "We're coming." She said as Sheele giggled as they headed straight for Terga Volcano.

Once on the volcano trail…
"Ooooh… good grief…" Avinia said, rubbing her forehead.
"How far is it?" Ruby wondered.
"Ah, just a little ways off." Orgo said. "Ah, wait, that reminds me…" He pulled out some Cool Mist and sprayed the air, enveloping everyone in the mist.
"Aaaaah, much better…" Avinia sighed with relief.
"Sorry about that. Not sure how that slipped my mind!" He chuckled sheepishly as he pulled out some explosive barrels. "Now, watch this!" He said, igniting one and placing it in front of a boulder that was blocking the path. "Fire in the hole!"
The boulder exploded, sending debris everywhere as some parts of the boulder crushed some unsuspecting Uraktors.
"Impressive, eh?" Orgo grinned.
"Daaaang, that's pretty good!" Annette said.
"I know, right?" Orgo chuckled as they walked along, proceeding to explode more boulders and crushing a few more Uraktors. A Ruby Basarios that got close to them was scared off by the explosion as they kept going.
A few more explosives later…
"We should be getting closer." Orgo said.
"Ya know, I feel like we're about to get ambushed. It's typically how things work!" Navirou said.
"I'm sure we'll be okay." Weiss said as they walked further along… and then they heard a roar as they saw a large spiked ball heading right for them.
"Ah geez, it's an Uragaan!" Kora exclaimed.
"Not to worry, I know these guys like the back of my eyepatch!" Orgo said proudly. "Everything's under-" The Uragaan kept rolling. "...Control?!"
POW!
"Waaaaaaaaah!" He yelped as he found himself rolling on top of the Uragaan. "This was not part of the plaaaaaaaaaaaan!" He cried as he disappeared down the hill with the Uragaan, causing everyone to sweatdrop.
"...Should we, uh… go after him?" Ena asked.
"I… think he'll be fine… hopefully…" Navirou sweatdropped.
"Hmm?" Filo turned her head. "Uh oh!" She exclaimed, pointing up ahead as they turned to see a Prism Peacock approaching with a couple of Slime Stacks and a Meowgician.
"Slime Stacks… I've always heard Slimes can stack on one another." Captain Slime said.
"Do you guys have Felynes as well?" Navirou asked.
"No, these guys are Meowgicians. These cats are known for their Frizz spells." Tech said.
"And Prism Peacocks are narcissists. They know Kasizzle and like to breathe fire, but they like to show off their feathers too." Major Malfunction said.
"I guess we'll have to fight these guys!" Ruby said as they got ready to fight them.
"Make way! Coming through!" Orgo said as he came rolling back with the Uragaan as he jumped off and gave the Uragaan a good kick where it bounced over the heroes and landed on top of the Prism Peacock and its party, knocking them out instantly.
"...Oooor we can just let him do that." Gloria sweatdropped.
"Heh, I had it all under control!" Orgo said as the Uragaan turned around and roared furiously. "...Oooor maybe I used to have it under control."
"We'll take it from here!" Cardin said as everyone got ready as the Uragaan roared and tried to roll toward them… only for Avinia and Winter's Barioths to freeze it, together with the Velkhana and Weiss's Lunagaron, all of them making quick work on the Uragaan where Annette jumped in and swung her hammer hard enough to shatter the Uragaan's ice prison and knocked the Uragaan dead in an instant.
"...That's the fastest I've ever seen an Uragaan go out." Orgo said before chuckling. "I might have softened it up for ya."
"They're weak to ice… and we have an Elder Dragon with us-"
Sasuke let out an offended snort.
"Okay, two Elder Dragons with us." Sky corrected as the Kirin nodded. "It wouldn't take much to knock that thing down."
"True, but I still think I softened him up for ya." Orgo chuckled. "Now uh, this is far as I can take ya."
"How come?" Navirou asked.
"Well, I got some kids to look after, I can't take as much risks as I used to." Orgo chuckled.
"Ah, I understand, Sarge."
Orgo nodded. "But Navirou? Stay awesome with your pawtners! And always be paws-itvely clawdacious and… uh…"
"A… fur-midable Felyne, right?"
"Ah! You remembered!" Orgo grinned.
"This is just so adorable…" Blake giggled.
"A little groan worthy if you ask me." Sienna chuckled with her hand on her hip.
"...I can just hear the groans from Simmons and Epsilon already." Weiss said.
"Don't mind me, I'm just writing this down for me and Nyx to use later on!" Yang said, writing it down.
"Ooooh boy…" Ruby sighed, while Rosalina let out a soft giggle while Navirou and Orgo hugged each other.
"Uuuugh, my feathers!" A voice cried as they turned to see the other monsters getting up. "That stupid monster ruined my beautiful feathers!"
"Did we just seriously get knocked down like bowling pins?!" One of the slimes asked from the stack.
"Well… I feel a lot better…" The Meowgician said. "Especially since that monster knocked out our brainwashing devices."
"But my feathers! I no longer look pretty!"
"Oh, shut yer beaks!" Orgo said as he walked over. "Here, why don't you drop by the shelter and we can clean you all up."
"I better look gorgeous."
"Yeah yeah, whatever!" Orgo rolled his eyes as he guided them back to the village.
"...I… guess they're on our side now?" Filo scratched her head.
"By the looks of it, yes." Hendrik nodded as they turned around and went the other way.
They walked down the mountain, taking out a few Uraktors that tried to sneak up on them but were quickly killed as they went further down until they reached the bottom… where they would see a ton of rage rays coming out of the ground.
"What in…?!" Ruby wondered.
"Oh gosh… that's too much…" Kora whispered.
Weiss gasped, spotting something as she quickly ran over to see a downed Rathalos. Everyone else went over to her immediately after. "What happened to him…?" Blake wondered.
"I don't know, but he's seriously hurt…" Weiss whispered, a deep pit entering her stomach. She hoped that Azure wasn't caught in this.
They heard a pained roaring as they looked up to see another Rathalos in the air before it slammed into the ground in agony. Weiss immediately running up to it as Kora ran with her.
However, as they ran… a loud roar was heard that echoed from within the pits that caught everyone's attention. "A voice…" Ena whispered as she looked at Kora. "Can you hear it?"
"I can…" Kora whispered before turning her attention to the Rathalos.
Weiss kept moving toward it but Meryl grabbed her wrist and pulled her away right as the ground started shaking. "Ack!" Weiss yelped as the monster roared again as the ground underneath them exploded.
BGM: Apprehension (Kingdom Hearts II)
Ena gasped, seeing something coming out of the dust. "That's… the monster Red saw!" She exclaimed as a large tentacle beast came out, but at the end of the tentacle, it opened up to reveal a mouth with razor sharp teeth as it grabbed the Rathalos and started to pull it under. The Rathalos roared in agony as it tried to crawl away from it. The Rathalos opened his eyes briefly to look at Weiss, as if he was begging her to help him… before he was dragged underneath.
"NO!" Weiss yelled as the large monster then came out once more, seemingly looking at the heroes with a roar and lunged as Weiss and Kora, but Meryl pulled the former away in time while Kora rolled away.
"Ratha! Fireball that thing!" Kora ordered, but heard pained groans as she turned to see Ratha writhing in the rage rays. "Ratha!" She ran over to him. "Come on, stay with me, bud…"
Gloria clenched her fists. "Thank Arceus I have you with me…" She said, pulling out a Pokeball and calling out Cinderace.
"Raaaaace!"
"What good is your Cinderace going to do against this?!" Avinia wondered.
Gloria aimed her Pokeball at Cinderace. "Just watch, lass!" She said as light shot out of the Pokeball and brought Cinderace back, before the Pokeball turned bigger as she turned around and threw it in the air, Gigantamaxing her Cinderace.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!"
"Oh my!" Avinia exclaimed.
"These Pokemon are something else!" Navirou said.
"Max Flare!" Gloria ordered as Cinderace backflipped and kicked the giant fireball into the monster's tentacle face… thing. The monster was knocked back from it and roared back in defiance. "Ye want another helpin'? I'll give it to ye!"
A Hyper Beam struck the monster as Zinnia flew up with a Mega Evolved Rayquaza. "Can't let you have all the fun!" She said as the Monster roared… before it slithered back into the hole to retreat for now.
"Ha! Can't handle the power of Ray Ray!" Zinnia mocked as she hopped off and reverted Rayquaza back to normal while Cinderace turned back to normal as well.
"Are you okay?" Meryl asked.
"I… should be." Weiss nodded as Winter breathed a sigh of relief, before shifting her eyes and gasping, quickly putting up a few Gravity glyphs to surround the sisters, right as a heated blade swung down.
"So, you were the one with the Velkhana."
"Adam!" Winter glared as everyone got ready to fight, but were surrounded by Crimson Fang members to keep them busy.
"You…!" Meryl glared, getting in front of Weiss with her arm out.
"You think you're just going to protect her with just a Violet Mizutsune?" Adam smirked as Meryl glared at him.
"You're going to have to go through us if you want Weiss!" Meryl glared.
"Meryl…" Weiss whispered.
Adam chuckled. "Take a good hard look at this scar, Weiss." He said as Weiss grimaced. "I don't know how or why you have a gothic clone of yours, but if she stands in my way-"
"I'm more than just a clone!"
"Whatever you are… you are in my way." Adam said as the Glavenus roared, where Meryl took notice of the brainwashing mask on the Glavenus.
"You bastard…" Meryl whispered as Adam used his semblance to cut through the Gravity Glyphs.
"Sic 'em." Adam ordered as the Glavenus roared and lunged…
…Only for a blue stream of fire to rain down and get between them, making a large blue wall of fire that circled around Adam and the Glavenus.

"What…? What is the meaning of this?" Adam wondered.
A glacier of ice was shot out through the blue flames, striking Adam in the shoulder. "Nnngh!"
"I understand you tormented Weiss. That's unforgivable."
Adam turned to the source of the voice… and saw Willow walking through the blue wall of fire, having a calm fury on her face.
BGM: Warriors (Imagine Dragons) (Start at 1:45)
"Well, if it isn't the mother. You came right into the slaughter!"
"I beg to differ." Willow said calmly as a Silver Rathalos and a Gold Rathian walked through the blue flames, joining her. "You have some nerve attacking my daughter… and I say we've had enough."
"We?" Adam wondered as he heard the sound of a sword-like object scraping through the ground as he turned to see a Goss Harag walking through the flaming wall, and Whitley joined the Goss Harag riding on an Aurora Somnacanth.
Walking next to Whitley was Klein riding on top of a Dodogama accompanied by an Uragaan.
Adam heard a cry of a bird as he turned around to see an Aknosam walking through the flames together with a Radobaan with Kirumi walking alongside them.
"The whole family is here… you made it too easy!" Adam taunted as he turned to Whitley and had the Glavenus use the sword to swing at him, but the Goss Harag blocked with its claw and swung it down to knock the Glavenus back a few feet as the Rathalos and Rathian breathed fire at the two of them while the Aknosom jumped in and heel kicked Adam off of the Glavenus.
"We've had enough of your shit." Willow said calmly, but giving him a fierce glare.
End BGM
Adam growled, quickly teleporting and hopping on his Glavenus. "Everyone! Retreat! We'll come back later." He said as he used his magic to teleport him and the Glavenus away as the Crimson Fang promptly retreated.
The blue flames dissipated as everyone looked on to see the rest of the Schnee family.
Weiss gasped. "Mom… Whitley… Klein… Aunt Kirumi?!"
"We weren't going to stand by any longer." Willow said calmly as Weiss teared up and quickly hugged them.
"Is that why you looked a bit scared?" Meryl asked Winter.
"I knew mom was angry, but I didn't think she'd be packing a Silver Rathalos and a Gold Rathian…" Winter whispered as Meryl walked over and hugged her family as well.
"Well… I guess everything's under control?" A voice asked as they saw a man flying down on a Rathian. "I was gonna help out with that monster, then I saw a flaming Lagombi kicking a massive fireball toward it."
Navirou gasped, his eyes sparkling. "Cheval!"
"Hey." He greeted. "...By the way, is anyone missing a Rathalos? This dude started following me not too long ago."
"A Rathalos?" Weiss whispered as a Pokeball opened up as Manaphy went running a few feet before looking up, looking up in the sky.
"Maaaaaaaana!" Manaphy cried, waving his arms as Weiss looked up, gasping in surprise as tears swelled in her eyes.
BGM: Jolene (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)
Azure let out a roar of triumph as he came in for a landing. Manaphy started running again. "Mana Bro! Mana Bro!" He said as Azure landed and ran up to Manaphy before stopping, gently nuzzling Manaphy as he climbed up on his neck and rode him while Azure ran over to Weiss.
Weiss put her hands over her mouth with tears streaming down her cheeks as she ran over.
"I thought Adam had him." Ruby said.
Blake smiled. "Looks like he escaped."
Weiss wrapped her arms around her Rathalos, softly crying as she held him. Azure nuzzled her softly. "I'm so sorry I let you get kidnapped, honey… I'm so sorry… I'm so sorry…" She sobbed as she showered him in kisses as her other Monsties walked over to greet Azure.
"I love you… I'm never going to let anyone hurt you again…" She whispered, holding him close.

Meanwhile, in Toad Town…
BGM: Dr. Toadley (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story plus Bowser Jr's Journey)
"Hmhmhmhm…" Toadley chuckled as he was looking in his ball. "Is Adam Taurus's defeat close at hand? It most certainly is…"
"Dr Toadley? You have a visitor."
"Send her in." He said as Chiaki walked in. "Ah, Miss Nanami. I have foreseen your arrival. Have a seat. Do you have questions? You most certainly do."
Chiaki frowned. "I've… been having some trouble lately…"
"Does this concern your Twilight counterpart? It does."
"Indeed… for the past few days, I've been trying to get my mind off of her after I got my butt handed to her. But… ever since I woke up from my hangover, I've been having these weird dreams."
"Oh?"
"They've typically been the same, but in a different setting. First I had a dream of Weiss coming in to save me from my Twilight self at Memory Skyscraper, then it was in Hyrule, then K2L, which is weird considering K2L is no more, and then I saw Weiss and my twilight self fighting in Onett, Midgar, Skyworld and then at Garreg Mach. I've finally had enough and just… wanted to come see you for answers."
"Aaaaah, these are no mere dreams, Nanami. What you are receiving are visions!"
"Visions…? Really?"
"Indeed. What you are describing is a time where Weiss is out of her funk and is back in tip top shape."
"...That would mean that her Fierce Deity-"
"-Is back in business, yes."
Chiaki smiled. "I had a feeling… but… I want to ask Weiss for help with my Twilight self. I just… I just can't sit by and watch a counterpart of mine do wicked things!"
"It is hard to watch a version of yourself do evil. I, too, have been keeping an eye on Twilight Chiaki's work through this crystal ball. Let's just say I had a vision of a version of you wreaking havoc in an alternate Mushroom Kingdom, so I had requested the help of Merasmus to… upgrade my crystal ball, if you will."
"Oh wow…"
"I am seeing that she recently visited a world where she destroyed all the villains of Gotham before finishing off a man known as Darkseid."
"...Oh god… she's going after the big guys…"
"To make matters more interesting, a man arrived in Gotham known as Shao Kahn, though he's calling himself Dark Kahn after-"
"SHE DID WHAT?!" Chiaki put her hands on Toadley's table. "SHE KICKSTARTED MORTAL KOMBAT VS DC?! Oh god, why would she do that… that's one of the more controversial Mortal Kombat games! And yeah, I played that and I kinda ironically enjoy it, but even I know it's a bad game compared to all the other games out there! Even Mortal Kombat 1 is more enjoyable, despite the plot getting really shaky near the end of the story even though I definitely loved that LiuKitana moment! At least that's canon in Kitana's timeline!"
She realized what she did before sitting down. "Sorry…"
"No no, you are okay. I understand Twilight is stressing you out. She is an embarrassment to all Chiaki Nanamis throughout the multiverse."
"Got that right…" Chiaki snarkily muttered under her breath.

"However… do I have some good news? I most certainly do."
"What is it?"
"I have foreseen that she will certainly lose a fight that she bit off more than she can chew."
"Oh thank god-"
"However, there is some bad news sprinkled in."
"Oh no…"
"That one loss… will have her mental stability be… unhinged."
Dread came over Chiaki. "Wh-what does that mean?"
Toadley closed his eyes gravely. "It means that she will lose her mind to the point where she will lose the abilitiy to tell friend or foe apart. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in her universe… is in grave danger."
Deadpool: I had a feeling she was a sore loser but geeeeez!
Ibuki: ...Oh god...
Yeeeeah... anyway, a bit of a spoiler warning for Mortal Kombat 1, but as I watched it on YouTube, I thoroughly enjoyed it all but... near the end where Liu Kang's Shang Tsung revealed himself to have survived because apparently, him beating Liu Kang is a different canon timeline and he managed to traverse through a different timeline to get back at Liu Kang was a big "BUT WHY THOUGH?!" for me. It kinda just fell apart at the end for me, honestly. That said, I actually enjoyed that LiuKitana moment!
