Well here we are, nearing the end of this story. Got to say it has been a wild ride. Never would have imagined it would go like this when i started but life has a way of surprising you.
While this is not the final chapter, I still want to take a moment and thank those who gave me ideas while writing this. I feel it has benefited from its greatly.
But anyway, enough monologing. Time for the final fight!
Endgame: Grima
"So, they've come." Grima mumbles to himself, gazing over the ground below. His eyes focused on the incoming orbs of light flying towards him. He scowls as he folds his arm. "So be it. I will take care of them myself." He returns his gaze to the approaching lights with distance, the gently blue glow stinging his eyes. The X-Blade pulses at his side, the hearts swirling around it yearning to break free only to be held down by the dark whisps chasing them. He holds out his left hand, gazing at the heart of future Sora with a sadistic gleam in his eyes. "Struggle all you want. You are powerless against me. And you shall watch as I cut down your friends and family once again. Only this time, your children will not escape my claws."
He engulfs the heart in dark fire before letting it float above his shoulder. Grasping the X-Blade with his right hand, he pulls it from the carapace skin of his other self, watching as the shell regenerates and heals. Turning his gaze around, he watches as the orbs of light land on his dragon's back, dissipating into particles to reveal the Guardians and the Shepherds lining against him. Determination burning behind their eyes.
"And so you come, to your oblivion." Grima boasts as he takes two steps forward, an aura of darkness swarming over him as a purple mist gathers around his feet. His eyes fall on the heroes standing before him before falling on one he had not seen in years. "Ah… Yen Sid. So you decided to return."
"To finish what should have been ended long ago." Yen Sid replies with steel in his voice. "You will not emerge victorious this time." Grima chuckles darkly at Yen Sid's proclamation before holding the X-Blade high.
"Shall we test that?" Without a second thought, he swings the corrupted blade down, unleashing a wave of pure Darkness towards the heroes. But before it could reach them, it smashes into a wall of light before vanishing into nothing. Grima raises an eyebrow, confused, before seeing a familiar blade in Sora's hand. "So, you decided to unleash your own Blade?" He asks with annoyance. Sora remains silent as he holds his X-Blade in his right hand, eyes glaring and the Grima-controlled Robin.
"We're not going to let you win." Sora responds, determination filling his voice. Grima scoffs at them as he takes a few steps back with a frown.
"I admit. I had assumed you would be too weak to summon it. Another error on my part, I will admit." His frown was soon replaced by a smirk as he raised his left hand. "But one that will not stop me." A dark flame engulfs his hand before falling to the ground and morphing into a dark puddle. The Shepherds and Guardians stare at it with caution as flames and lightning race across its surface. "I assume you know that I would not leave myself so open as this. You are fools to think so. So allow me to show you my own personal captain of the guard."
Grima's voice dripped with mockery as a figure emerged from the puddle. Black sludge clings to its form as it rises to its feet. The haunting aura of a Risen emanates from its body as the sludge falls away, revealing dull and rusted silver armour covering a bloodied and mud-encrusted outfit. A ragged cape flows off its back as a silver sword is held loosely in its right hand alongside a silver spear on its back.
But it wasn't the armour or weapons that had their attention. Nor was it the blacked rotting skin of the warrior summoned to fight them.
It was the familiar hair of deep blue that held their eyes, even as its face was obscured as it looked to the floor. Before raising its head to gaze at them with eyes of yellow and red, Grima's mark radiating off their chest.
A sight that plunged a knife into Lucina's heart.
"F…Father?" She asks weakly, seeing her father from her own time resurrected as a Risen before them. The gaping wound on his lower abdomen was clear to all. A comforting hand rests on her shoulder as Chrom stands next to her, scowling at his corrupted self. A glare equally shared by Sumia and Cynthia.
"What's wrong? Are you not happy to be reunited with your father, little one?" Grima asks mockingly as more puddles surround him on the ground and in the air. "As a matter of fact, why do you not me the rest of my guards?" If Grima's grin could get anyway, it would be splitting his face as more figures emerge from the puddles.
All of them were the reanimated bodies of the Shepherds and Guardians.
"You…monster…" Caelum whispers as the Risen forms of Sora and Kairi stand beside Risen Chrom, the gasping wounds in their chests all to see as corrupted versions of their weapons hand from their hands. It was a sight none of them wanted to see, even after they had encountered the Risen version of Sumia, Xion, Cordelia and Cherche back on Mount Prism. None of them wanted to believe that all of the Shepherds and Guardians had been turned.
And yet, standing before them, they were proven wrong.
The only comforting sight was that Nowi and Tiki were not among their numbers. Neither were Yen Sid, Mickey, Donald or Goofy. But it did little to comfort their nerves.
"Well, think you can do it? Can you kill them all?" Grima asks mockingly towards Lucina, eyes glistening with glee. Chrom follows Grima's gaze as he glances at his future daughter. Her face is frozen in shock and horror as beads of sweat form on her face. Clearly, the prospect of fighting her own dead father had never crossed her mind. Or that of the other future children in that regard.
"How have you done this?" Yen Sid asks with hidden fury as he glares at Grima. "Those chosen to be Naga's champions are immune to your 'revival' methods." Grima only widens his grin as he casually takes a few steps back.
"It is all thanks to a certain researcher hidden below a mountain. A shame that he is already dead, but his usefulness was already gone since I already know how." A demonic chuckle rumbles from Grima, seemingly carried by his vast draconic body beneath them. Chrom growls at him before turning his concerned eyes back to Lucina, then to his dark double. Breathing deeply through his nose, he makes his choice.
"Lucina. Use this."
Lucina turns to look at her father, only to stare wide-eyed as he holds his Falchion towards her. She looks at the glowing blade before looking back at Chrom's eyes, resolution filling his face.
"What?" She breathes before reaching for the blade, grasping it with both hands. The power emanating from it flows into her, a comforting feeling as though she was standing in a spring morning breeze. The sound of steel exiting its sheath alerted her to Chrom removing her own Falchion from her belt, grasping it in both hands.
"You deal with Grima. I'll deal with myself." Chrom replies, eyes locked on his dark double. "I won't force you to kill me, even if I'm already dead." All around him, the Shepherds and the Guardians stand ready, each reassuring their own children to focus on Grima and not his puppets. Lucina looks down at the enchanted blade, before her face once again fills with determination. Grasping it with both hands, she holds the blade ready in her preferred stance.
"I understand, father. And thank you." She says softly, catching the smallest look of a smile on Chrom's face before reforming back into a frown.
Oceania glances at her childhood friend, happy to see her resolve restored. She readies herself for the fight, only for a gentle hand to land on her shoulder. She turns around to find Sora next to her, with a small smile on his face.
"Take this, Ocie." He says, holding up the X-Blade in one hand. She looks at him with wide eyes as the others look in surprise. Oceania looks at the blade in shock as Sora speaks again. "I know what you said before about how your time had passed. You may even think yourself not worthy, but I know that to be false. You ARE worthy. You just need to believe in yourself."
Oceania looks at Sora in surprise before gazing at the X-Blade again. Hesitantly, she reaches out with her right hand and grasps the handle. Sora continues to smile as he nods at her, before letting go of the Blade. It was surprising to her how light the blade actually was. Even as power seemed to travel up her arm and solidify in her chest. As though it was a missing piece had finally filled a void she never knew existed.
"Finish what we failed to stop. He's your foe to beat." Sora tells her as he draws Kingdom Key. Oceania glances once more at the X-Blade before nodding with a smirk. Holding it to her side with one hand, she readies herself for battle.
"Leave it to us." She says with a smile.
"What are you planning?" Grima asks, puzzled at the lack of movement from his foes. "If you will not come to me, then I shall come to you!" He bellows as he throws his left hand forward. The motion cast, Grima's undead guard, charges forward towards the heroes with a blood-chilling roar.
"Donald, Goofy. Stay with Oceania and Caelum." Sora tells his best friends as he stares down his dark double. The two share a look before quickly nodding in understanding as they move to the children's sides. Oceania looks between the two as a smile forms on her lips.
"Dad had talked a lot about you. Glad to fight at your side!" She says with a Soraesque smile. The two toons smile in return just as Risen-Riku charges towards them before being cut off by the real Riku. Parrying his dark double away, he motions his head towards Grima, telling the future children to go ahead. Without missing a beat, the future children, alongside Robin and Tiki, charge towards Grima as the others face off against their dark mirrors.
"Fools." Grima spits as he shakes his head. "Do you believe that you can beat me? You are but pale shadows of your parents. If you could not defeat me in our time, what hope do you have in this time?"
"Let's find out!" Robin shouts as he launches a Thoron towards Grima. Reacting to the incoming attack, he holds his X-Blade up to summon a dark barrier, splitting the incoming attack in two and leaving him untouched before it is engulfed by the holy flames from Tiki.
Overconfident, Grima lazily rolls his eyes until the flames suddenly disappear, with Oceania diving through the flames X-Blade pointed towards him. The moment her blade hit the barrier, it sliced through like a knife through butter, the blade almost hitting Grima in his eye had he not dodged the strike.
"What?!" Grima shouts in anger, seeing his barrier vanish. His eyes fall on the blade in Oceania's hands as he scowls. He could feel the hearts of Sora and Kairi dance with joy at seeing their daughter wield the X-Blade against Grima, even in their confided state. "So, you do have the potential. A mistake I will rectify!"
With a raise of his left hand, he unleashes a wave of Darkness towards the Children. The final battle had begun.
"Well, Chrom? Think you can beat your own ass?" Vaike asks as he locks axes with his dark double. Chrom Grunts under the dark blade of his own before spinning out of the deadlock. He swings at the Risen's exposed flank only for it be blocked by the bloodied arm bracer on its arm.
"It is an interesting experience, I won't lie!" He replies as he back away from a wide swing. As much as he wanted to hate it, it really was like fighting himself. Every move, every strike, made with calculated precision. There was only one difference between them, though it mattered a lot.
He was getting tired. The Risen was not.
"This is getting us nowhere." He breathes as he and Vaike go back to back. He glares at his dark double as it puts away its silver sword and reaches for the lance on its back. Chrom grimaces as he holds Lucina's Falchion in his hands before an idea crosses his mind. "Vaike, you want to switch?" Vaike stays silent at the question, glaring at his dark half as he readjusts his grip on Hauteclere.
"Just give me the sign." He whispers, tensing his shoulders. Chrom silently acknowledges as he waits for his foe to make its move. Then, the Risen-Chrom lunges forward, spear aimed at Chrom's heart. Just as the Risen-Vaike leaps into the air axe above its head.
"NOW!" Chrom yells as he spins to the left. Vaike copies his movement as they swap sides. Vaike leans into his momentum and rushes forward, throwing up his armoured left arm to deflect the incoming spear as he swings Hauteclere with his right. The legendary axe finds no problem in slicing through Risen-Chrom's rusted armour, sending the fallen lord to the ground.
Chrom jumps into the air as the Risen-Vaike comes down, Falchion poised to strike. Just as the Risen began to swing its axe down, Chrom's sword pierced through the Risen's chest. The two fall to the ground, with the Risen-Vaike landing on its back and Chrom standing tall before ripping Falchion from its chest.
"Good work." Chrom says with exhaustion as he and Vaike regroup. Vaike had a large grin on his face with a possibly inflated ego. But before he could say anything, a dark glow from his Risen counterpart grabbed his sight.
"Think we have a problem, man." Vaike says with growing dread. Chrom tilts his head before looking over to the fallen Risen, only to stare in shock as the fallen Vaike slowly rises to its feet. The wound on its chest sealing shut.
"What?" Chrom breathes before glancing over to his Risen. To his shock, the same purple glow had enveloped the Risen-Chrom as it slowly stood on its feet, the large gash on its chest healing at a rapid rate. "Well, this complicates things." Chrom mumbles as he and Vaike once again go back to back.
"An understatement." Lon'qu suddenly says as he appears next to them, Wo Do in hand. Small cuts line his sleeves as his Risen self calmly walks towards them, katana in hand. "A foe who rises no matter how we cut them down. Tenacious."
"It has to be because of Grima." Naminé adds as she lands next to Vaike. The Risen Naminé floating over to them on abyssal winds. "He has to have them fused to his essence. So long as he lives, they cannot die." She sends a blast of starlight towards her dark half, catching it as it lands on the ground. The holy light would have vaporised any normal Risen or Heartless, yet the blast only managed to destroy Risen-Naminé's left arm, which slowly grew back in a fog of black and purple mist.
"An unending hoard." Chrom grimaces as he readies himself. "Then all we can do is place our faith in our children, Robin and Tiki. This is their fight now. Let us make sure it stays that way!" With a courageous yell, Chrom once again charges at his double, Vaike, Lon'qu and Naminé close behind.
The same story played out across Grima's back. No matter how many times the Shepherds and Guardians struck down their dark doppelgangers, they continued to rise again and again, their wounds healing in a heartbeat. The flyers dance around Grima's wings, lashing out at any moment against the Risen flyers or the wing itself, either if the damage they dealt with would only be felt as a tickle. Those on horseback charge at each other, jousting at every moment as the hooves pound in the carapace ground.
Magic arcs through the air, clashing with blasts of darkness and creating vast explosions that scorch the very ground. All the while, spikes of Darkness erupt from the ground without warning, causing a constant dance of movement as everyone stays ahead of Grima's attacks.
Attacks that were quickly wearing them down.
Sora pants heavily to himself as he watches his dark double rise from the ground for a fifth time. It was quick to see that, despite being as strong as them, all their Risen counterparts had was the instinct to fight. None of them had the intelligence or ability to adapt on the fly. But it was still a hard battle as Sora could feel the sweat dripping from his face.
A glance at his side towards Kairi told him the same story, her own face dripping with sweat as small tears riddled her clothes. Turning back to their foes, the Risen-Sora and Risen-Kairi readied themselves again to fight as the wounds on their bodies fully healed. But just as they charged forward, a wall of wind and water erupted from the ground, entrapping them in a spiral vortex.
Glancing behind them, they find Yen Sid with arm outstretched and tome open, walking to join them with a neutral expression. Eyes glued to the vortex.
"Are you two alright?" He asks evenly.
"Yeah. A bit exhausted but still good." Sora replies as he wipes his brow. Kairi nods her head as she does the same. Yen Sid glances between them before sighing with a hint of regret in his voice.
"I must apologise to you." He says, surprising the two. "It is because of me that this dark future that threatens us has happened. If I had declined Naga's request—"
"Master, it's not your fault." Sora interrupts as he looks at Yen Sid. "No one could have predicted that Grima would use Robin as his vessel. What happened in Lucina and Oceania's future is terrible, but at the same time, how could anyone predict that's what was going to happen?"
"Just like what happened during Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery." Kairi joins in. "How could you have predicted that Xehanort would travel back into the past to meddle in the test? No one can predict the future."
"And besides." Sora says with a smile. "Even if you didn't tell us, we would have found some way to get involved here anyway. Either it be from Maleficent's plot or 'Luxu's' schemes." Yen Sid glances between the two, letting a rare smile form on his face just as the vortex of magic dissipates around the Risen.
"Very well. In that case, let us end the battle that I failed to do." With a flick of his hand, he unleashes a tornado of wind and water, separating the two Risen and Sora and Kairi charge at their dark selves.
Until the ground and air around them began to tremble as a roar echoed across the field.
"Stubborn mortal. Why do you not accept your fate?" Grima asks with irritation as his wave of Darkness is dissipated by Lucina's Falchion and Oceania X-Blade. "Your destiny is already set in stone. There is NOTHING you can do to stop it!"
"Doesn't mean that we won't stop trying!" Kitai yells as he charges towards Grima, swinging his lance at his head. Grima bends back, avoiding the strike and attempts to counter, only for Kitai to gallop out of range of his strike as Goofy takes his place. Instead of swinging one of the Brave weapons he carried, he instead bashed his shield into Grima's face before galloping away. Growing irritated, Grima charges an orb of darkness in his left hand and launches it towards the children, only for it to be countered by a similar orb from Akeru.
"Why align yourselves with these lowlifes?! With the powers you hold, you would be unstoppable!" Grima yells at Akeru before throwing up a dark shield to protect him from Tiki and Nah's joint fire breath.
"Simple. There is more to darkness than power and death. Our parents taught us that it is more than that. It can comfort and calm." Akeru states back as he prepares a joint wind and dark spell. "And just as how we grow in the light of day, the darkness of night gives us time to reflect!" He launches the spell towards Grima, who bats it away with X-Blade before finding himself having to dodge both Gaia and Cynthia as they dive-bomb him from above.
"Infantile pap. You squander your potential!" Grima yells back before Gerome's wyvern slams her tail into Grima's back. While not enough to send him to the ground, it distracted him enough for Noir to lose an arrow from Parthia charged with ice magic from Donald towards him, with Laurent unleashing a wind spell alongside the arrow.
The arrow just grazes Grima's cheek as he stands to his feet, drawing his ire towards the trio. Just as he was preparing for another orb of Darkness, Yarne slammed into him in rabbit form, causing his shot to go wide. Followed quickly by Caelum, Owain, Inigo and Severa charging at him from four angles.
As they close in range, Owain and Caelum unleash twin Sonic Blade attacks on Grima. Striking at him from different angles and forcing the dark dragon onto the defensive. Their attacks were quickly followed up by Severa and Inigo, who attacked with a double Ars Arcanum. The twin thirteen-hit moves force Grima back even farther, right into a trap set by Robin and Morgan. As Morgan unleashed a blast of Mjolnir from the sky, Robin let loose a blast of Thron on the ground, catching Grima between the two attacks.
Yet even the blast from two powerful thunder attacks did nothing but badly singe the coat he wore.
"Impressive. I admit I underestimated you, my other self." Grima comments as he brushes embers off his right shoulder. "But you will still not win. Even with Falchion and the X-Blade on your side."
Robin narrows his eyes at Grima before glancing towards the head. A small part of his brain told him that Grima was still holding back on them and that he had yet to show his real strength. But there was another fear in his mind. One he hoped would not be true.
"Continue to speak your lies Grima. You are alone while we are one." Tiki spits as she returns to her human form. Grima looks at her with anger in his eyes, just as a manic grin forms across his face.
"Alone, am I?" He asks as a puddle of darkness forms before him. "My dear beloved Tiki. I am afraid that, in this case, you are completely wrong." Before anyone could ask what he meant, a new figure emerged from the pol of Darkness.
A young male who looked to be the same age and height as Morgan, with bobcut hair that looked to once be a combination of silver and green but now was completely black and purple. Black rotting skin was hidden underneath a thick coat and robes, with baggy pants underneath rusted greaves.
Several black arrows stick out from his chest and back, while a large slash mark was present above where his heart would be. And his eyes were coloured the same red and yellow as any of Grima's creations.
But it was the Levin sword in his hand and dragon stone on his hip that drew the eyes of the Children, who looked on with growing horror.
"Marc!" Cynthia cries out in despair as she, Gaia and Gerome join the others. Cynthia's words ring in Robin, Tiki and Morgan's ears as they turn their eyes over the new Risen, with horror eating away at their hearts.
"Marc? Isn't he Morgan's twin brother?" Robin asks quietly. His eyes wander over the Levin Sword in Marc's hand, noticing a small mark near the bottom of the hilt. The same mark that was on his own Levin Sword. One that he put there.
"Yes… He is." Tiki replies as she holds a hand in front of her mouth, a small tear threatening to escape her eyes as she looks at her future son standing before them as a Risen.
Morgan, however, remains quiet. Her eyes fixed on the shade that was once her brother.
"Is this not a touching reunion, Tiki and Morgan? Reunited with Marc after so long?" Grima gloats as he puts his hand on Marc's shoulder. He looks at Morgan as his smirk grows. "Don't tell me you forgot all about him, did you? Perhaps this should help your memory." With a snap of his fingers, the Dragonstone on Marc's belt flares to life with purple light, engulfing Marc in a cloud of dark smoke.
Just as suddenly as it happened, the smoke was bashed away by a pair of giant purple wings with dark skin as a roar erupted from where Marc once stood.
Instead, crawling on all fours was a dragon covered in the same coloured scales as Grima's form. Cracks and arrows litter its body as large gouges mark pepper its arms and wings, while one large gash made by magic stretches across its stomach. The now Risen-Manakete turns to look at the group, one eye blazing red while the other glows yellow. As Grima's Mark burns atop his head.
"Kill them."
With that one command, Risen-Marc roars to the sky before leaping towards the group as a feral beast. Everyone moves to dodge the Risen as it swipes with both tail and claw. Cynthia leads Gaia and Gerome into the sky to attack from above, only for Marc to turn his head towards them and unleash an inferno of purple flames.
The three flyers were to dodge, their attack aborted before they were forced to dodge more orbs of Darkness from Grima. Moving to flank him, Kitai and Goofy attack from the side in an arc, only for Grima to spot them out of the corner of his vision. He slams the X-Blade into the ground, summoning a wave of spikes made of shadows and forcing the two back.
Meanwhile, Risen-Marc continues to fight against Robin and the others, his fury seemingly set on both Tiki and Morgan. While Tiki and Nowi fight back against Marc, using their dragon forms to try and hold him down, Morgan looks on with tears in her eyes.
"Why?" She asks no one as she continues to watch. "Why him? Why not me?" Her words are directed to no one as a sharp pain enters her skull. She grasps her head with her right while her left reaches for the stone on her belt as a memory returns to her mind.
Flashforward begins
Morgan is sitting on a straw bed, looking over an old book with sadness in her eyes. A small light nearby generated the only light in the room, illuminating the other unoccupied bed. The wooden door creaks open as a young man with silver and green hair enters the room, his eyes falling on Morgan.
"There you are, sister. I was wondering where you went." Marc says as he joins her on the bed. "We were about to go over a strategy meeting for the Gemstones. Are you coming?"
"No…" She quietly replies as she closes the book and places it on her lap. Morgan frowns at her before folding his arms.
"That's not like you. You always want to take part. What's wrong?" Morgan doesn't reply, instead opting to turn her head away from her brother. "You know you can tell me anything. I'm your brother. Hiding things from each other never works out, Mor." He places a hand on her shoulder. She flinches at the touch before settling down.
"Marc…" She says quietly, turning her dull eyes at her brother. "I am a burden?"
"What?" he replies, shocked at his usually lively sister in this state.
"Please tell me, I am a burden to everyone?" Morgan repeats her question.
"What's brought this on, Mor? You've never been like this." Morgan sighs as she stands from the bed and walks over to a table, placing the old book down.
"Marc, there's no point in trying to hide it. We BOTH know you are better than me." She says before turning to face him. "You can strategize better than me, fight better than me, cast magic better than me. Heck, you can turn into a dragon, and I still haven't worked out how!" She throws her arms into the air with a sigh. "I'm just holding you back."
Marc looks at her with wide eyes as he takes the information in. After a few seconds of pondering, he sighs before standing to his feet and walking to his sister. Without a second, though, he embraces her before giving his reply.
"Morgan, you are not a burden." He says softly. "Sure, I may be better at strategy, but YOU are better at making plans up on the fly when things go south. I'm the better fighter? You can use more styles than me. And yes, I may be better at magic than you, but not everything can be solved by magic alone." He pulls away from her with a smile. "You also have an easier time getting people to open up and talk about their worries. I've always struggled with that, as well as reading people's emotions."
"Even if that's true, I can't turn into a dragon while you can." Morgan replies, her face downcast. "I'm putting the stone Mother gave us to waste."
"That's not true." Marc instantly replies with folded arms. "Mom gave us these stones because she KNOWS we can turn into dragons. Our ears and hair are proof of this. Yes, I've managed to find out first, but the way I did could be different for you. You may need a different 'trigger', if you will."
"And what would that be?" Morgan asks, some light returning to her eyes. Marc shrugs at the question.
"I don't know. But I can say this." He smiles warmly at her as he puts a hand on her shoulder. "Whatever it is, it will most certainly be a 'you' way." A smile creeps on Morgan's face as she playfully glares at her brother, putting her hands on her hips.
"And what does THAT mean exactly?" She asks in a mock, stern voice before the two burst out into chuckles at each other.
"So…Want to come to the meeting?" Marc asks again, holding his hand out. Morgan looks at it with a smile before reaching out to grab it.
"Of course, Mar."
Flashforward ends
Morgan's eyes open up as the memory fades away, a tear running down her face as she looks at the battle before her. Robin, Tiki and Nah were still fighting against Risen-Marc while the rest had returned their attention to Grima, who now had the head of his dragon form launching its own attacks at them. All the while, he was using the X-Blade to teleport around using keyhole-shaped portals, slashing whenever he reappeared.
A crash nearby turned her gaze back to her parents, who lay on the ground battered by Risen-Marc's attacks. The undead dragon had its gaze locked on them as it gathered dark flames in its mouth, reading itself to finish the job.
It was then that something inside Morgan snapped like a line of string that had been pulled taught for so long finally giving way. A fire built in her chest as her heart sang for release, her left hand clutching the Dragonstone on her hip.
In that instant, she knew what she had to do as a fire lit behind her eyes.
Running at full speed, she grips the stone tightly as it begins to shine with bright light illuminating around her.
"LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE!" She shouts as the light fully engulfs her before a draconic form shoots forward towards Risen-Marc. The impact knocked his head away, the resulting blast from its mouth striking nowhere near Tiki and Robin, who looked at the figure who rescued them with a look of awe and pride.
Standing before them was a Manakete dragon covered in scales both brilliant silver and deep purple. The ends of the wings ended in warm yellows as her eyes shined a silver grey. Her wings spread wide as she glares at the dark form of her brother. "I won't let anyone else I love die today!" Morgan declares as she tackles her brother off the side of Grima as the two begin a fight in the sky. Fires of darkness clashing against the silverly purple of Morgan.
Grima watched on with fury, seeing his last puppet distracted by the failure that was his daughter before a sudden cry caught his attention. Charging towards him at full speed were Lucina and Oceania, holding their father's weapons tightly in both hands.
Grima focuses his attention on them as he engages in a dual with them, summoning 'Luxu's Keyblade in his left hand as he fights the two girls by himself. All the while, Robin slowly rose to his feet before his eyes fell on Grima.
He closes his eyes as he takes a deep breath, grasping his left hand as he places his tome back into his coat. He feels a warm hand rest on his shoulder as he opens his eyes, seeing Tiki looking at him with love and understanding in her eyes.
"I love you, Tiki." Robin says softly as he channels the dark powers of Grima into his right hand.
"I love you, Robin. We all do." Tiki replies warmly. "Our bonds will never be broken." Robin smiles as the power grows in his right arm before he slowly raises it above his head.
"INSIGNIFIGANT BRATS!" Grima roars as he swings the X-Blade around, trying to hit the two girls attacking him as his anger and fury grow. Only to realise he had overswung at the last second as Lucina slashes Falchion through his arm, severing the X-Blade from him.
"OCIE! NOW!" Lucina cries as she jumps back away from Grima. Oceania, who had done the same, grasped the X-Blade in both hands before pointing it at Grima as she felt a power growing within the blade.
"THIS ENDS HERE GRIMA!" She yells as a powerful beam of light erupts from the X-Blade and slams it into Grima's chest, just as Robin unleashes the magic he had charged in his arm right into Grima's back.
A bloodcurdling roar erupts from both Grima and his dragon form as the two powers clash within his body, shockwaves erupting out before a vast explosion erupts from where Grima stands.
The shockwave travels out, passing through the Risen, standing on Grima's back before they all freeze in place. Even the ones in the sky. The Risen-Marc cries in pain before plummeting to the ground, closely followed by Morgan, who chases after him.
Just as Grima's main body begins to fall to the ground.
X-Blade (Sword – A, Mt 17, 100% Hit, 50% Crt, Rng 1-2, Infinite Uses, Sora and Oceania Only, Bonus to Risen, Nullifies effects of Grima's X-Blade in a four-tile radius.)
One final weapon stat. Makes sense to have the overpowered weapon 1 map only.
