Chapter 4: The Funeral and Revelation

The grand chamber within the emperor's palace was aglow with the holographic projections portraying the simulated funeral of Padme Amidala.

Darth Sidious, shrouded in darkness, sat in sinister reverence, watching the orchestrated funeral procession unfold on the holovid.

At Vader arrival, Sidious beckoned him next to him to witness the end of Padme's story, his voice carrying a sinister edge.

- "Come my apprentice. Let's watch the final journey of Padme Amidala."

The Dark Lord, though devoid of a mask, emanated an aura of malevolence, relishing the moment to exploit Vader's emotions.

As the holographic image of Padme's transparent coffin shimmered before their eyes, Sidious began a calculated monologue, his words laced with venom and twisted wisdom.

-"What a pity we couldn't recover the offspring of Anakin Skywalker. It's a shame that a potential asset is squandered in the ashes of her demise. Such power, untamed and unrestrained…we could have planted a seed of darkness that could have burgeoned, bolstering the Empire's dominion." Sidious uttered, his voice a sinister serenade.

-"A true pity she turned her back on your legacy, on the true potential of the Sith."

Silent and stoic, Anakin, now free from the shackles of Vader, remained impassive. Inside, a tempest of emotions raged, but a newfound resolve anchored him.

In an unexpected turn, as Padme's image in her coffin flickered on the holovid, Anakin felt a surge of emotions wash over him.

Love, grief, and an undying hope intertwined, liberating him from the grip of the dark side.

His eyes finished their transformation and turned full blue.

In that same moment, with his lightsaber ignited in a swift and resolute motion, Anakin struck Darth Sidious down before the Sith Lord could anticipate his attack.

Sidious, in his last moments, bore the realization of the Sith's extinction, a grim epiphany etched on his dying visage.

A sense of tranquillity enveloped Anakin in the aftermath, yet a void of emptiness lingered—a stark loneliness stemming from the absence of those he loved or believed lost.

He looked to his beloved wife face for the last time and prepare to leave when, in a moment of miraculous revelation, Padme Amidala, not consigned anymore to eternal slumber, rose from her coffin.

Confused, she looked around to the frozen and shocked crowd surrounding her.

Then, she looked at the sky, took a deep breath, then screamed Anakin's name.

Anakin stood, paralyzed in wonder, emotions overwhelming his senses.

- "Padme…. PADME!"

With a cry of joy, he surged forth, galvanized by an unyielding yearning to reunite with the love he believed lost.

He had to get to Naboo. Padme needed him!
