Chapter 8: Rebirth

Doctor: (with a professional tone) Alright, everyone, let's get this chamber set up. We need to act swiftly.

Assistants: (hurrying around) Yes, Doctor.

The specialised chamber, an intricate and vast medical structure, dominated a significant portion of the room. The entrance to the main chamber comprised a small antechamber, necessary for an environment to sustain Anakin's breathing without his suit. Within this massive installation, Anakin's critical treatment was about to commence.

Doctor: (calm and focused) We must be precise and quick. Ready Anakin?

Anakin: (anxious but resolute) I'm ready.

Doctor: Activate the levitation zone.

Anakin who was standing in the middle zone, started levitating. He then came to stay on his back as if he were laying on a bed.

Padme, stationed on the other side of the glass, watched with tearful eyes as Anakin had his mask then suit removed within the chamber. Her heart clenched at the sight of his suffering, the reminder of the agony he endured.

Padme: (voice trembling) Ani...oh, Ani...

Anakin: (reassuringly, through the glass) It'll be okay, Padme. I'm doing this for us.

Doctor: (directing the assistants) Work fast and cover the skin out of the suit with the patches of painkillers. We need minimal contact and stress on his injuries.

Anakin: (with determination) Just get it done quickly, Doctor. I can handle it.

As the process continues, Anakin was gently manipulated by the team, his pain evident despite his resolve. The chamber served a dual purpose: ensuring Anakin could breathe without his suit and providing a sterile environment for surgery and treatment.

Doctor: (to the assistants) Set up the surgical tools. We'll need a tissue sample to start growing the necessary limbs. Also, prepare the painkillers solution for the bacta tank.

Assistants: (working diligently) Yes, Doctor.

The doctor and his team swiftly and precisely commenced the procedure. Anakin's suit and prosthetics were completely removed, revealing the extent of his injuries. Padme's tears flowed as she witnessed the state of her beloved.

Padme: (overcome with emotion) Ani...oh, my love...

With a somber look, Obi-Wan look on with horror and distress to the results of his actions on who he considered to be his brother. He didn't know how Vader…. Anakin was still alive.

Still unsure of his role, He stood near Padme, observing the process. His resolve to retrieve the children finally settled.

Obi-Wan: (resolute) Padme, I'll go retrieve your children. I'll make sure to bring them back safely.

Padme: (nodding, tearfully, letting go of her anger) Please, Obi-Wan… bring them back to us.

He nodded.

As Obi-Wan turned to leave, a voice crackled through the speaker within the chamber, catching his attention.

Anakin: (speaking through the speaker) Master...Thank you.

Obi-Wan: (with relief and belief) Welcome back, Anakin.

The echoes of gratitude reverberated in the room. Within the chamber, a place of healing and transformation, a meticulous work was underway striving to restore what was lost.
