He returns to them a broken, shattered shell of his former self and Rick worries whether he will ever be able to recover. Implied/described rape and torture. But can the one person the group don't want with them help bring him back?

"What changed your mind?" ...Surviving alone together after the prison, Beth and Daryl slowly grow closer, realizing there can be some light in the world for them. AU at the funeral home, where Daryl doesn't get interrupted in the kitchen and Beth doesn't get kidnapped. How will it change things and how will they survive together? Future chapters will be M!

Takes place after season three, Daryl's attempt to avoid his past has unintended consequences and puts members of the prison group in danger. What happens when you modernize Pride and Prejudice and stick Beth Greene and Daryl Dixon into the roles of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy? Because that's exactly what I'm doing here in my retelling of Jane Austen's classic romance. I'm sticking very closely to the original story but with my own modern twist. (Unfortunately, I do not own these characters, AMC does, damn it).

Based on 'A Home' by the Dixie Chicks and thought how crushing it would be if the writers ruined an amazing chance for Rick and Michonne to be happy together on screen *sighs sadly* This is what I came up with…There's room for more chapters, but right now this is a one shot.

While at work after hours, Beth witnesses something she shouldn't have between a local gang and a couple of new guys in town. One of the men lies to protect her, and their lives become entangled. AU, no ZA.
