Daryl Dixon's mind was like a top secret file and he didn't opened up to nobody. Not to Merle or Rick. Not even to Carol and she was his damn best friend. Until he shot 'her'. Something about this kid melted his heart and warmed him up. He wasn't sure what it was, but hell was it changing him. Caryl.

What was meant to only be a collection of Bethyl one-shots has apparently turned into my idea of the reunion. Takes place during/immediately after "Alone."

She wasn't sure when it had happened. She had suddenly woken up one day with thoughts filled of him. He had always been important, both in the sense of her survival and as a person, but that had somehow changed. Her eyes would be drawn to him, whether subconsciously or of her own volition, and once her sight was filled with him, her gaze would linger... *One-shot*

"At 19 years old Daryl Dixon met the love of his life. Rosebud lips, soft blonde hair, and the deepest blue eyes he'd ever seen." No-one really understood Daryl's determination when it came to saving Sophia and Judith, not even Merle. But then again, no-one knew about little Oakley Dixon either.
