It was a festive day at the Playhouse, and the entire gang was gathered for a grand party. Vibrant decorations adorned the Playhouse from top to bottom, and everyone was dressed in their finest attire, especially Miss Yvonne, who looked as stunning as ever.
Amid the excitement, Darcie had also joined in. She was Miss Yvonne's niece and had been to the Playhouse only once before. She was smitten with Pee-wee - and he was smitten with her. However, neither had made a move since their first and only date several weeks prior.
The gang decided to play a game of musical chairs, and Darcie found herself competing for a chair with Globey, the talking globe. Just as she thought she had secured a spot, Pee-wee playfully nudged her chair, causing her to lose her balance and fall onto the floor.
"Oops! Sorry about that, Darcie," he said with a sheepish grin, extending a hand to help her up.
"No worries, Pee-wee. It's all part of the fun, right?"
"Yeah!" they both giggled and rejoined the game.
As the party reached its peak, Darcie decided to go help her aunt make cookies, while Pee-wee was playing a rather spirited game of Monopoly against Conky, Cowboy Curtis, and Ricardo.
Jambi's box opened a few moments later, and he watched the party - wondering why he hadn't been told of the fun right outside his box! He shrugged - well, as much as a floating genie head can - and observed his friends.
Noticing the cookies being made, he cast a spell of sorts on them, enchanting them in a most fun way. Once the cookies were done and everyone began to enjoy them, the effects were felt. Chairry became extra chatty, repeating every sentence twice; Conky started zipping around the Playhouse; Pee-wee was giggling uncontrollably at EVERYTHING, and Darcie was merely in a daze.
Jambi watched everything in amusement. "Looks like the cookies had a "magical" touch, didn't they?" he asked, a smile on his face.
Pee-wee was still in a fit of giggles. "I'm enjoying the ride!"
A while later, the "enchantments" of the cookies began to wear off, leaving everyone completely exhausted.
As the party-goers trickled out of the Playhouse one by one, Darcie decided to stay behind and help Pee-wee clean up. The two of them worked in relative silence, occasionally giggling and stealing glances at each other.
After a while, Darcie spoke up. "Thank you for tonight, Pee-wee. I had a great time."
He turned to face her, a warm smile on his face. "I had a great time too, Darcie. I'm glad you came."
There was a moment of silence before Pee-wee mustered up the courage to say what he had been thinking all night. "Darcie, I know we've only been on one date before, but I really like you. Will you be my girlfriend?"
Darcie dropped a ribbon decoration from her hand that she had picked up. She couldn't believe he FINALLY asked her.
