So, this isn't a pairing I normally write but RPing it with a friend recently has made me appreciate them more and hey, they are canon, after all. I enjoyed writing them and now, normally when I write, I trust my instincts and try not to overthink it.

Shiro couldn't believe it was only his third date with Curtis. Sure, they had been friends for two years before beginning to date, but it felt like he had always known the other somehow. As if they had a connection from the moment they had met. He rested his head against his boyfriend's, cuddling against him as he ate the amazing pasta that Curtis had cooked up. They were both resting against Curtis's couch, deciding to have their date at his apartment this time.

"This is amazing," Shiro said softly, and Curtis smiled.

"I'm glad to hear it," Curtis replied. He reached out, brushing a hand across his cheek and Shiro found himself leaning into the touch. He had never thought he'd fall in love again, not after everything that had happened already in his life but meeting Curtis, his heart had begun beating again. Feelings he had thought he would never feel again came out stronger than ever and he didn't want to stop them.

Curtis was someone who had seen him at his best and at his some of his not so best moments. And yet, somehow, he was still here. He finished his plate, setting it down on the table before resting his head against Curtis's arm as his eyes moved back to the show they were watching. This was a moment he could remain in for all of eternity.

"Look," Shiro said softly, watching the character in the show. "He finally said it."

"About time, huh?" Curtis said with a chuckle. "I'm glad you caught on quicker to my feelings."

Shiro felt his cheeks flush a bit. "Um, actually, Keith told me." He felt his cheeks go redder. "I'm not really good with stuff like that. I mean, Keith isn't either but somehow, he's more observant when it comes to me than when it comes to himself."

It was Curtis's turn to flush.

"Yeah, Lance always said Keith was pretty dense but even he said my crush was pretty obvious," Curtis said before smirking. "I guess I'm lucky you're more dense than he is."

"I am not more dense than he is," Shiro huffed in protest. "I just tend to notice these things more with others than with myself."

"That is called being dense, love," Curtis said with an innocent smile as he planted a kiss on Shiro's lips. "But I love you, clueless and all."

Shiro felt his face go redder at the kiss but returned it. "I love you too."
