After their 'welcome' into the county, they had finally reached the main town of the valley. It looked quiet and safe even at night, where someone could walk alongside the road and expect to get robbed or mugged or worse. All the canines leaned in against the window with their paws pressed up against the glass. "Huh, a lot more cats than I would have thought" Rocky pointed out. He was indeed correct in his observation.

It seemed like everywhere they all looked, there was a cat minding their own business, running businesses in fact. However, not seeing the obvious details of it all. "Not many dogs around here though" Marshall commented.

"You're right Marshall, In fact, I haven't seen a single dog" Chase replied, scouting the streets and buildings for just one dog, just one, but none came to be seen. "Urh, I don't suppose dog treats are a famous thing here" Rubble said with his paws over his stomach, as if it were something dire thing.

"I don't think so, Ryder where did the message tell us to meet again?" Chase asked. "I think some bridge I think, I guess we can ask for directions" Ryder said, pulling the paw patroller over to the right of the road off into a gas station. Reeling the wide vehicle into a parking space as he unbuckled himself from the driver's seat. The door opened as they all exited the paw patrolled.

They all walked in group with Ryder at the lead. Walking across the gas station getting looks all around. "Ummm, anyone else notice people looking at us?" Zuma asked, leaning into his friends as he eyed back the cats that stared them down.

"People always look at us Zuma, Were heroes "Marshall stated, holding his chest high as he looked to the cats that eyed them back. Even waving at them too. "I know, but these don't look like 'Look at the hewoes' looks. More like the 'Why awe these dogs hewe' looks" Zuma explained.

"I wouldn't be surprised, I haven't seen any other dog since we got here. Plus, these cats seem really…. scared" Chase pointed out once more. "Nahhh, They love us, watch this" Marshall insisted as he split from the group, running up to young adult cat. "Wait Marshall!" Chase shouted out to him, not hearing the german shepherd's cry as he approached the female cat.

"Hi Ma'am, Can you please tell where I can find the-"The Female cat turned around to see the smiling dalmation, however it didn't click much in her mind that he was being polite, first thing she saw was a dog. The female cat screamed as a high pitch, forcing Marshall to cover his ears in response and everyone other person in the area to look. "DOG DOG DOG, CALL THE POLICE, ANYONE, DOGS OVER HERE" She shouted. "W-What, but I was just going to ask-"Marshall tried to calm her down, holding his paw out to try and assure her he meant no hard. Only aggravating the situation as she screamed even louder as she backed away before running off. "Time to go!" Chase shouted, grabbing the Dalmation by his pup pack and running off.

"Marshall what were you thinking!" Chase shouted, running back to the paw patroller. "I was trying to be nice and friendly!" Marshall shouted, even though he was in disbelief over what had happened and how she suddenly acted. In no time they all saw the group of deputies swarming to their location.

"Wow, talk about response time" Rubble commented on the surprising quick reaction time it take for the police to arrive on scene. "You know I don't think we should run from the police, it's only gonna make things worse" Chase said, his inner cop kicking to talk some seemingly sense.

Chase stopped in his tracks, throwing his paws in the air in an effort to do the 'responsible thing'. "Officers, I'm complying" Chase spoke looking behind him to see a dozen cat deputies. Rushing toward the German shepherd with batons, nets and cattle prods that emitted the terrifying rattle once turned on. "BAD IDEA BAD IDEA, RUN RUN RUN" Chase began to run once more along with his friends, even running right past them with his tail tucked in between.

Genuine fear of how many volts could run through his body if those deputies got a hold of him. Running straight down sidewalk and the side of the gulley, right past innocent people. "Code 15, We got six dogs and one human trying to elude us!" One officer said, speaking on his radio. Within seconds Paw patrol turned the corner around a building.

"Hey over here!" Suddenly they all heard a voice, the voice of a male young teen, motioning his arm up with his hand flicking back toward himself, urging paw patrol to seek shelter with him. They didn't know him, but with the cops right on their tail. It felt like it was the only option to put faith in this sudden stranger. "You heard him, cmon!" Ryder shouted as the canines all followed behind the teen who climbed over a tall wooden fence. Ryder jumped up, climbing over the fence as the dogs crawled under as it was just simply too tall for the dogs to just jump over.

"Wow, thanks for the- "Ryder was cut off suddenly as the young teen pressed his palm against the leader's mouth, urging him to be quiet. Releasing his hand before pepping through a small crack in the wooden fence to see the confused deputies, wondering how they had just lost several suspects all at once.

"Where the heck did they go?" One deputy asked to his fellow colleagues, shrugging his shoulders as he looked around.

"I dunno, The Sheriff isn't going to be so happy about this though" One cat cop replied before tugging on his radio that wrapped around his feline body. "Dispatch, set out a BOLO on these suspects. one German shepherd, one dalmatian, one cockapoo, one brown Labrador, one Bulldog, and one mongrel of some kind" He relayed.

"Hey, Im not a mongr-"Rocky spoke before being forced to shut him mouth by his friends, urging any sudden sound could get them caught and the chase back on going again.

"Copy 10-4, Return to patrols" Dispatch replied as the deputies all shrugged, It was what it was, holstering and stowing their weapons as they walked back where they came from. Paw patrol all blew a sigh of relief, if it wasn't for this young teen, it would have ended painfully for all of them. "Hey, thanks for the save" Ryder thanked.

"For sure, you really saved our bacon"

"Oh it was nothing, I use every chance I get to stick it to those cops. Never seen any of you before, This is a small county, Where you guys from?" He young teen asked. "We're from Adventure Bay, we're here on a mission to-"Marshall exalted before hearing the young teen but right back in after receiving this new information on them.

"Hold on a second, you guys are paw patrol?"

"You've heard of us?"

"Heard of you, Im the one who called you all here, I can't believe you all actually made it"

"Wait, you were the one who sent that distress call?"

"That's right, I've been trying to contact you all for weeks but you have no idea how hard it's been with radio towers and police spying" He explained. "But didn't you tell us to meet at some bridge, how'd you find us?" Chase asked.

"I had a hunch that you all would get a rough welcome from the Sheriff's department, so I decided to stay in town and try spot you out, Lucky I was here huh?" He asked rhetorically of course. "Cmon, We can talk more at my hut" He insisted as he separated from the group.

"Great, Follow us to the paw patroller and lead the way" Ryder insisted before quickly being shut down by the young teen. "Woah woah woah, bad idea man, You heard those cops earlier, You guys are wanted now, If one cops sees you, you'll have the whole of the department on you. Especially since your dogs too"

"What does us being dogs have to do with it?" Rocky asked, Receiving a bit of a sorrowing look from the teen. "I'll explain it all back at my place, but for now, no more being in public, we need to get out of this town and fast before more cops start joining in on the search" He said as he motioned for them all to follow him.

They all looked at each other before shrugging, knowing they might as well since he was their best bet to find out what really was going on inside this place. "Cmon, I know a hidden way outside the town and into the woods" He stated as he walked further down the alleyway, paw patrol following close by.

"It's not too far, I promise" The young teen stated as he treated down a muddy path, the path was thin and narrow with large swaths of leaves covering its direction. Paw patrolled walked blind, stumbling into and over vegetation as the following the young teen, stepping wherever he would step. "Ummm, why can't we just stay hidden back in town, where there's less predators and mosquitoes" Skye asked, finding it difficult to concentrate with the noise of the wild woods all around.

"Wish I could, but the sheriff's department has Undercovers and informants all over the place, and wherever they can't put spies, they put bugs, ever conversation would be recorded "

"Woah dude, How do you know all of this?" Zuma asked. "I lost a few friends to them, but I'm gonna let some losses stop me from making a change."

"That's very noble of you, uhhh…." Rubble tried to dig back in his brain, trying to recall if the young teen ever gave out his name.

"The names Lou, and thanks, I don't get many compliments a lot, only insults and thrown tomatoes. Anyways, where here" Lou said, brushing away a final large leaf that covered the path ahead to reveal. Well…not quite a glorious sight.

It was an old shack with a trailer attached to the side, somehow the trailer looked even worse than the old worn-down shed.

"Ohhh, it's ummm…. very nice"

"You don't have to lie, it's not great, but at least we're safe" Lou said, walking past the broken shades of rusted metal and glass everywhere.

"Anyone else get a sort of weird vibe from him?" Rocky asked. "Weird in what way, he saved us and he's the one that called us" Ryder replied, not catching what the mixed breed was throwing.

"If by weird you mean hungry, then I'm getting majorly weird vibes" Rubble said, drooling at the side whilst running after Lou.
