"And you're completely sure?" Ryder asked as they all stood around him, interested in the developing story. "Mhm, Jello didn't hate me because I was a dog."

"Plus, he hired a dog as a babysitter, dog haters don't normally do that" Rocky stated, as they all nudged their sides, the mixed breed gave a good point.

"Do you think Lou is getting his facts wrong?" Skye asked. Once a question was considered crazy, but now one that felt more relevant each chore they did for Lou.

"I don't think so, He's been here longer than we have, he's seen a lot more than us. But I do think he owes us a good explanation for everything" Ryder proclaimed, all of give a short nod in response.

"Speaking of that Ryder, I found this in Lou Twailew when all of you guys wewe gone" Zuma handed Ryder a file, the file they stole from Mr. Maple the cat. Ryder turned the cover see pictures, pictures of police and radio antennas all across the county.

"That's strange, why would Lou go through all the just to get some odd photos" Ryder said.

"You guys said my name?" A voice came through, Lou came in walking into the hut. Ryder jumped in a panic as Lou saw him looking through the folder.

"Huh, the decided to peep into the folder huh?" He huffed and kissed his teeth, pretty levelheaded in fact after seeing Ryder flip through the folder.

"Alright Lou, I appreciate everything you did for us, but now it's time for some answers" Ryder stated, as the rest of Paw Patrol was just as serious on the matter.

Lou threw his hand in the air as if he was exhausted, and it really looked like it. He sighed as he looked back at them. "Okay fine, I admit it, I've been hiding some things from you guys. But It's not what you think, I'm not doing this for dogs, I'm doing this for my father. Don't get me wrong, I still want to help the dogs, but it's not my main priority"

"Oh, What happened to him?"

"The Sheriff's Department locked him up, I've been to scrape together any sort of evidence that would link me where to look and how to get him out. I didn't know if you all would be so willing, so I lied saying I was doing it for the dogs, I'm sorry" Lou said, taking a seat on a ragged old chair next to him. "Lou, That's silly, We're Paw Patrol, We never shy away from a problem" Ryder stated to Lou's surprise.

"Ryder's right, You didn't have to lie to make it seem like it's more important, but whether it's for dogs or not, Theres a problem here, and we're going to fix it….together" Chase said, proudly, stepping forward to Lou, placing a paw on his knee.

Lou looked up from the ground he stared at in shame, up at the German shepherd and the other dogs. "You sure?" He asked.

"For sure dude" Zuma said, reaching up to Ryder to grab the Folder with his mouth before walking over to Lou, letting the edge of the folder scarp his knee in a gentle way to get his attention. Letting Lou take the folder with a smile in response to the Chocolate Labrador. "Sowwy I took your folder" He said.

"Its okay, You had a right to question what I was doing, you all did" He said, getting up from the chair and opening up the folder. "I knew Mr. Maple took pictures of police and radio antennas, was hoping he would have a picture of them taking my dad away, and I was hoping to look through Jello's court documents to see where he was and what he was charged with" Lou explained.

"I see, and what about Jay?"

"Jay is someone I never thought I've have to look into, but unfortunately I have no choice. He's the Mayor's son. He works part time at the Sheriff's Department, thanks to his influence he was given his own Office in the Sheriff's Department too. He has to have something on my father"

"So, we're going to sneak into the Sheriff's Department?"

"Not sneak, Blend in" Lou corrected, already confusing running amuck in the room as he said that. "Ummmm Lou, I don't think we're going to blend in as Dogs in a Cats only Police station" Rocky commented.

"You're right, You wouldn't last 5 seconds in a police uniform. So, you'll be a Janitor instead" He said. "Wow feels sorry for the poor dog that has to sweep floors for cats" Chase stated as Lou looked directly at him with a smirk. "Better get used to scrubbing big guy, cause that's you" Lou stated, giving Chase a shock.

"W-Why me?" Chase protested.

"You're the only one here with police experience, So you're more likely to find out more things others here wouldn't know about." Lou explained, Chase sighed in response, there was no use pressuring it at all, might as well adapt. "Alright fine"

"That's the spirit, just try and avoid talking with Deputies in the station. Even though it looks like you're doing a job, they'll still treat you rough because you're a dog" Lou stated. "Avoid all that until you reach the second floor, slip into his office, It has a green metal door with the 'Keep out' sign, He's very secluded about his possessions. Rocky, Try to see if you can hack into the Department's cameras from a nearby building so you can be an extra pair of eyes inside. Everyone else stays here to relay back information" Lou laid out all the details, everyone nodded being sure of their role.

"Everyone got any questions?" Lou asked once more. All stood silent as they all hand looks of determination, "Let get it done then" Lou said in response.

Later in the day, Chase walked along the sidewalk. Tapping a small a small bud in his ear so he could communicate with everyone else back at the hut. Of course, his tag would have worked wonders, but Lou insisted taking it off and leaving it back at the trailer, thinking it would draw in questions to the German Shepherd. "Chase, you hear me fine?" The German Shepherd head in his ear.

"I hear you, I'm almost the front gate of the Police Station" He stated before looking up to see Rocky on top of a nearby apartment building. "Wow, The Sheriff's Department doesn't play around with their cyber security, Give me a minute to hack into the cameras" Rocky said in Chase's earpiece.

Chase wasn't paying attention to what was Infront of him, accidentally bumping into a cat. "Oh, Im sorry I wasn't-"Chase began to apologize seeing whoever he had hit, he knocked their sunglasses off. Seeing the aviators knocked down the sidewalk. Chase took the liberty of picking them up, turning to face whoever he had accidentally bumped into see it was a Deputy.

Chase froze for a second, his paw extended out the sunglasses as the Deputy took them back. "Watch where you're walking next time flea bag" He said, swiping the sunglasses with a scruff. Almost about to put them back on his head until looking back at the German Shepherd, tilting his head as if he looked a bit familiar. "Hmmmmm" He groaned.

"S-Something wrong Officer?" Chase stuttered, If dogs could sweat like humans, He'd be dripping buckets. "I could have sworn I've seen you before somewhere" He stared at the German Shepherd fiercely, trying to scrap together every detail about him, trying to reference it back to any information he had in his little cat brain. "Eh, I'll look into it later. Don't cause any trouble mutt, Or they'll be hell to pay" He said, putting on his sunglasses and walking away.

Chase blew a sigh of relief as he turned back to continue walking down the sidewalk, turning the corner as he was faced with the main gate inside the Police Station. "Here goes nothing" Chase said into his earpiece.

"Goodluck Chase" Ryder's affirmative comment gave a little encouragement to Chase as he walked through the cat to the small security hut at the entrance. Cat in Green uniform looked up at the dog with a growl and a flash of his tail. "What do you want" He asked, not really sounding much of a question and more of threat by the tone of his voice. "Hi, I'm the Janitor for the Sheriff's Department" Chase said.

"Show him your ID" Lou whispered in Chase's ear, reminding Chase as he then dug around into his small dog like dark blue uniform. The sudden movement making the small cat feel un-easy as he placed his paw on his sidearm before seeing the German Shepherd produce a small card. The Cat aggressively took the card from the canine, examining it closely. It was a standard Identification card letting whoever read it know, He was a dog, and he was allowed to work. The Cop couldn't believe his eyes for a second, looking down at the card and back at Chase as if it was a fake.

"Mr…..Rex, Mind your manners in there, or else" He said, handing the card back to the German Shepherd, no smile and all warning. The red and white stripped barrier lifted up, letting Chase pass through. As Chase walked in, He glanced all around at the patrol cars and cat cops standing around minding their own business, staring at Chase profusely as he walked by into the Department. "Im in"

"I got eyes on you Chase, Your top left" Rocky said, Chase turned to his top left to see a CCTV Camera staring directly at him, giving it a good old wave before walking further into the building down the long hallway. Passing by Cats in their Green uniforms and Green campaign hats. "Hey Dog!" Chase heard behind him, slowly turning around to see a well decorated cat, His sleeves had stitched on ranks with a long stripe on each one, as well as 4 stars on front of his campaign hat. His fur was white and brown with green eyes, he walked like he owned the place, because he to put it bluntly, he did.

"Sheriff Reno, Who hired you again?" He introduced himself.

"Say 'Undersheriff Folk'" Lou whispered yet again into his ear.

"Undersheriff Folks" Chase replied out loud. "Uh huh, Down the hall on your first left is the supply closet. Clean the breakrooms, interrogation rooms, and also the Jail cells, Inmates tend to 'lose their bowels' in there if you know what I mean" He said as he punched the German Shepherd right on his side, for a cat he sure did hit hard. "Oh, and word of advice, stay out of my fucking way and my Deputies from here on out, This is the only time I'm ever going to be nice to you" He turned facing Chase.

"The Sheriff seems like he's something special" Rocky commented, hearing and seeing every word from the cameras he spied on. Chase didn't comment, only walking along the hallways, getting even more looks from Deputies he based. One even whipping his tail into the German shepherd's side as some sort of sick joke at the canine's expense. Chase knew it wasn't worth it to get physical, he'd know if he got violent for whatever reason. He'd be bleeding on the ground in cuffs faster than he could say 'I know my rights'.

Chase turned the corner and reached the supply closet, Grabbing a pair of sponges and tile cleaner. "I guess I can pretend like I'm cleaning upstairs" He said as Chase continued down the new hallway. "Oh no, I forgot. The second floor is closed off by a small grill with a lock. You'll have to get a key" Lou stated. "Shouldn't Janitors have keys to the buildings?" Chase asked.

"Well they normally do, but you know…. you being a dog and all"

"Got it, So where can I get a key?"

"When in doubt, steal one off a Deputy. Captains usually have keys to upstairs. I think one should be at the station right now, He usually doesn't wear a hat, has brown and black fur" Lou explained the Captain's details before Rocky chimed in with better information. "Wait, I think I saw someone like that walk into the breakroom, I bet that was him" Rocky claimed.

"Great eye Rocky" Skye complimented. Chase nodded before walking down the hallways some more, seeing the separate turn off toward the stairs which was indeed separated by a grill. "How do you know so much about this place Lou?" Chase asked.

"I did my own scouting before you all came here, but I never knew how to get in" He stated, getting a shrug from the German shepherd as he came across the breakroom. Walking inside to see a bunch of deputies, sitting at tables enjoying their lunch breaks. On the other side of the room was indeed the captain.

Brown and Black fur with no Campaign hat, engaging in a conversation with some other cops. Just like every other cat that came across Chase, they all looked at him with uneasy look, ready to pounce if anything happened. Chase froze being at the center of attention in the room before they quickly lost interest and began doing what they were originally doing before he walked in.

"So anyways, There was this Dog I was searching on the sidewalk. Doberman, Big old mutt. Pretty sure If I tased him it would only give him extra strength, His paws against the wall and all, right" The captain continued telling a story to the entertainment of the other 3 deputies around him listening, all with smiles on their faces. Chase began to get down to chest level on the floor, slowly and periodically cleaning each tile to blend in as a Janitor. Making his way to the captain's feline hind legs. Where he saw the ring of keys dangling from his belt.

"So, I'm checking him, and I say to him 'You got anything I should be worried about?'. He looks at me and he shakes his stupid dog head. I know he's fuck'in lying so I whack him right in his side, and I swear I've never heard a big bad dog like that scream so high and so much like a little girl" The captain could barely contain himself as he started to laugh, prompting the other deputies to laugh as well.

"I Dunno if he's got a bone where his brain should be, but everything I tried and search him he starts to tense up. And each time I wack'em in the side. I tell him each time 'Stop moving around boy' but he just keeps doing it. I hit him so many times my paw got so soar, It's ridiculous how much they don't listen, then they cry 'police brutality' when I start scratching" The captain said as the other cops slightly calmed down more, enjoying the time.

"And that's not even the worst part, you know what he had on him?" The captain asked.

"What?"

"Nothing"

"You're serious?"

"Dead serious, Stupid mutt didn't realize his ass was going to meet my talons for nothing. So after that I threw him to the side and told him to turn tail, You should have seen the way he ran dude" The captain grinned as he turned around to see Chase, chest to floor scrubbing the tiles.

The captain whistled faintly down at the German shepherd to get his attention, Chase looked up for a moment to see the captain deliberately spitting right next to him. "Missed a spot" he smuggled said with a chuckle before turning back to the deputies. Chase didn't even bother to clean that wad of saliva right next to his head, instead reaching up to unhook the keys from the captain's belt. Shoving into his dark blue uniform as he slowly walked out of the room. "I got it" Chase stated.

"Great job, Now get upstairs and make your way to Jay's Office, There should be something you can find in there. Then once you're done, you can climb out his office window to escape" Lou explained as Chase made his way to the stairway, unlocking the grill.

"I don't see any cops upstairs, are they all downstairs or something?" Rocky pointed out.

"Lucky us, It's a straight shot to the Office then" Lou commanded as Rocky saw Chase walk up from the opened grill onto the second floor. "Huh, This is way too quiet, Rocky are you sure theres no one up here other than me?" Chase asked.

"Positive, Even the Sheriff isn't on the second floor, and I can see his Office is empty" Rocky claimed as Chase walked right past the green metal door before stopping. Chase stood for a second looking to his side to see if there was anyone, but no one was there just like the mixed breed said.

Chase pulled the handle, it was a heavy door for sure. Chase peaked inside; it was quiet a large room. And very dark too. There was no window or anything, Chase brushed his paw against the side of the room to feel around for a light switch. Until suddenly, he felt his paw being grabbed with immense force. Dragging his down to the floor as he felt two pairs of paws pushing him to the ground.

The lights suddenly came on, Chase looked around to see a deputies all geared up from ears to paws. Like they were a strike team. Chase felt the cold feeling of cuffs being wrapped around his paws, clicking together suddenly as he pushed into the ground. Chase turned his eyes up to see the Sheriff, bending down to look him in the eyes. "Well well well, Look what the cat dragged in Mr. Rex, Or should I call you….Chase" The Sheriff said as he reached to the German Shepherd's ear, pulling out his earpiece.

"Ryder, It was a trap, Lou set us up!" Chase yelled, hoping his words would go through to warn Ryder.

"Uhhhh, I think we already figured that out" Ryder said in fear with Skye, Marshall, Zuma and Rubble by his side, their paws clenching and shaking as Lou stood beside them. Holding a handgun to all of them, his face had a sick twisted smile and a face of satisfaction and victory.
