In the streets of Paris, a bus was looming down the street completely out of control and chasing after it was Ladybug, Cat Noir and Lord Sprite, who managed to land on the roof of the bus.
"It's no good! The brakes are busted!" the bus driver panicked as he desperately tried to stop the bus.
Ladybug looked at Cat Noir. "Ready, Cat Noir?"
"I'm always ready, milady," Cat Noir smiled. "Who needs brakes when they've got us?"
Ladybug then dashed towards the front of the bus, and Cat Noir tossed his staff over to her. Ladybug then quickly swung her yo-yo as she jumped off the bus and allowed it to drive over. She quickly tied the string of yo-yo around the staff, and once the bus passed her, she threw it to Cat Noir, who had just jumped off the bus.
He then quickly extended the staff, catching it between two lampposts, causing the bus to stop just before it was about to hit three civilians, including a mother and her baby. Sprite then jumped off the bus to see if they were all right.
Ladybug and Cat Noir made their way to the bus to escort the relieved-looking passengers off the bus.
"So, uh, Ladybug? What would you say if you and I met up tonight for a little dinner? Rooftop style?" Cat Noir asked.
Ladybug raised an eyebrow. "For dinner? As superheroes?"
"He can hardly ask you out as civilians now, can he?" Sprite pointed out.
"He's right," said Cat Noir. "We do only together when we're saving Paris. I mean, wouldn't you actually like to get to know one another?"
"I… That's so thoughtful of you, but I can't," said Ladybug. "I have to, uh, I already have plans with some friends."
The bus driver was the last one to get off the bus, and he immediately shook hands with the three heroes, thanking them.
"Well, if your plans end early, come and join me," said Cat Noir.
"We'll see," she said.
"I'll be waiting, milady," he said as he watched her swinging off on her yo-yo.
Sprite folded his arms and shook his head. "You're a real glutton for punishment, you know that."
Cat Noir looked at him. "What do you mean by that?"
Sprite sighed. "It's not my place to say, but try not to get too disappointed if she doesn't show."
Cat Noir then watched as he left and then left himself.
Later that evening, Marinette and her parents had just finished dinner.
"It was delicious, sweetheart!" said Sabine.
"And as a dessert…" said Tom, placing a fabulous-looking cake on the table. "Ta-da!"
"Wow!" said Marinette, but she remembered that she was saving the desert. "Uh, no thanks, Dad."
Tom frowned. "But isn't this your favourite?"
"And it still is, Dad!" she said, kissing her father on the cheek. " But…" She then kissed her mother on the cheek. "…I told you I was going out with friends. We're gonna get ice cream at André's—"
"Oh, Sweetheart's Ice Cream!" said her parents in unison.
Sabine smiled broadly. "That was where your father asked me—"
"To marry him," Marinette finished.
"He hid the ring in a scoop of vanilla ice cream."
"And you almost swallowed it too!" Marinette chuckled.
" They say that couples who eat ice cream at André's will stay in love forever."
Tom looked at Marinette curiously as she made her way to the door. "By the way, Marinette, who are you getting ice cream with?"
Marinette then suddenly came to a stop, and her face turned bright pink. "Oops, gotta go! Don't wanna be late, see you later, guys!"
She then ran straight to the door.
"Ohhh…" Tom and Sabine sighed happily.
Adrien was at home waiting for his father at the dinner table. While waiting, he pulled out his phone to text Nino and check the time.
Nathalie then entered the dining room. "There's no point in waiting for your father, Adrien. He'll be eating in his office."
Adrien rose to his feet, looking quietly angry. "Then what's the point of keeping me here if he's never gonna show up, Nathalie?"
"Don't forget to practice your piano before you go to bed," said Nathalie as he walked away.
Adrien soon reached his room, and Plagg flew out of his jacket as he leaned against the door.
"You could've at least grabbed the piece of Camembert on that platter!" said Plagg, looking annoyed.
Adrien then tossed him a piece of Camembert, which immediately caught. "Fuel up, Plagg."
He then went over to the piano, placed his phone on the speaker, and played some piano music, which he recorded.
"Adrien may not be allowed out of the house, but Cat Noir is!" he said.
"You seem in a hurry to get stood up," said Plagg.
"She didn't say she wasn't coming," said Adrien optimistically as Plagg ate the Camembert.
"But she didn't say she was either!" said Plagg realistically.
Adrien ignored him and raised his ring. "Plagg, claws out!"
"Don't even give me a minute to digest my fooooood!" Plagg protested as he was absorbed into the ring.
Adrien then transformed into Cat Noir, and then he didn't waste any time and hopped out of his window. He then began leaping from rooftop to rooftop towards the place where he was expecting Ladybug.
Marinette soon met up with her friends at the Trocadéro.
"Hey, Alya!" Marinette waved.
"Hey, Marinette!" she said.
They approached one another and then kissed each other's cheeks.
Marinette looked around and saw Adrien was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Adrien?"
"Don't get upset, okay?" said Alya. "But Nino just got a text. Adrien's dad isn't letting him go out."
"Once again…" said Marinette, looking disappointed.
"Yo, Marinette!" said Nino.
"Glad you could make it," said Jack.
"What's up, M?" Ivan smiled.
"How are you, Marinette?" Mylène asked.
"I'm fine. Thanks," Marinette smiled. "So, do you know where André is today?"
"The deal with André and his ice cream cart is that you never know where he's gonna be," said Nino as he pulled out his phone. "You gotta follow his clues to find out where he's going to set up."
"From what I've heard, he normally goes to places where famous films have been shot," said Jack.
"The first time Mylène and I wanted André's ice cream, it took us three hours to find his cart!" said Ivan as he looked down at Mylène, chuckling. "Do you remember?"
Mylène chuckled as well.
"Jill practically found him right away last time she was here," said Jack.
"Hey! Someone posted a photo!" Nino announced. "He's on his way to the Pont des Arts."
"Let's hurry!" said Ivan.
"Let's go!" said Mylène as she, Ivan and Nino ran off.
Alya then grabbed Marinette's arms and pulled her along. "Come on, Marinette!"
"Yeah! Awesome!" Marinette chuckled.
"Wait for me!" Jack yelled as he attempted to chase after them. "Some of us need a little extra help when it comes to directions!"
At the same time, Cat Noir placed some candles on a balcony for his dinner with Ladybug. He looked around, satisfied, and then sat down to wait for Ladybug.
André was rather a plump man, and he began to sing as he opened his stand on the Pont des Arts bridge.
"My name is André! André! Glacé! The sweetheart matchmaker!" he sang as he rolled his belt to let everyone know he was ready. "With one scoop or two, I'll find up for you with magical ice-cream flavours! My name is André! André! Glacé! The sweetheart matchmaker! With one scoop or two, I'll find up for you with magical ice cream flavours!"
Marinette and the others arrived on the bridge, and Nino was the first one to spot him.
"Hey, he's here!" he said
Alya pulled Marinette along. "Let's go!"
André was in the midst of handing some ice cream over to an Italian couple. "Pistachio, vanilla, and strawberry! For lovebirds from Italy."
"Merci, André!" they said.
"You're welcome, my friends," André smiled. "Enjoy André's ice cream. May love never end!"
Ivan and Mylène then approached him.
"Bonjour, André," said Mylène.
Andre beamed at them. "Striking young Ivan and dear sweet Mylène! If you aren't still the cutest lovebirds I've seen!" He then scoped them some ice cream and gave it to them. "Chocolate, praline, and white nougat for you! A special concoction to keep your love true!"
Jack then stepped forward. "Ah, Jack, you alone this time?"
"Yeah, Jill had to get back to London, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a delicious ice cream," Jack smiled.
"Glad to hear it," André beamed, and he began scooping some ice cream and giving it to him. "How about some blueberry, vanilla and chocolate."
Alya and Nino were the next ones in line. "Ah, these two I've never seen. This your first time here with me?"
The two of them laughed. "Yeah!"
"Coconut, banana, and a touch of passion fruit!" said André, giving them some ice cream.
Marinette sat on the bench, watching everyone with a gloomy look on her face.
"Why don't you go and get one, too, Marinette?" Tikki asked.
"What's the point?" she asked. "Adrien won't be coming."
"Jill isn't here either, but that doesn't stop Jack from getting ice cream," Tikki pointed out. "He might not be here, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying a yummy ice cream and a fun night with your friends. And you could give me a taste, too!"
"And how about this young miss?" André asked, and Marinette realised he was talking to her. "The pretty one who sighs. I have a flavour just for her! It's sure to make her smile!"
"Uh… Me?" Marinette blinked in surprise.
"What's your name, dear?" André asked, guiding her to his stand.
"Marinette."
André then began scooping some ice cream for her. "Peach pink like his lips and mint like his eyes. Eat this, my dear, and your love will materialise!"
He then handed Marinette the ice cream, who stared at it. "Uh… um. No! I—There's been a mistake! I'm not in love with anyone. And I think I just lost my appetite."
She tried to hand the ice cream back to him, but André pushed it back towards her. "Why, of course, you are, my little one. When there's love burning in one's heart, André knows it from the start. Enjoy your ice cream, Marinette. I know he'll be here."
Marinette looked at the ice cream with a sad look on her face.
"Green eyes like mint… Who could that possibly be?" Ivan wandered.
Marinette looked back at André. "Thank you, but you've got it all wrong. I don't have a—" She then heard a whistle and saw someone walking over, and she first thought it was Adrien. "Adrien?"
However, it just turned out to be someone wearing similar clothes as him, and then someone accidentally bumped into Marinette, causing her to drop her ice cream.
"Hey!" said the guy, who bumped into Marinette, rushing over to Adrien's lookalike. "You finally made it! That's great!"
André gasped at the fallen ice cream. "André's ice cream has always melted hearts. But the magic will only work if you eat it! I'll make you another one."
"Thanks, but it's really not necessary," said Marinette, looking immensely depressed.
André quickly made another cone. "Yes, it is, my dear. See here? My ice cream has brought everyone together. Every famous loving couple in Paris! Edith and Marcel, John and Serge, Olive and Tom! Your loved one is out there! Somewhere! All you need is to believe in the magic of André's ice cream!"
"You're very nice, André. But I don't have a loved one."
"Who has green eyes?" Ivan pondered and looked at Mylène. "You think we know him?"
"Lay off, Ivan. There's no one, okay?" said Marinette and then turned to André. "And I don't think there's something magical about your ice cream. It's just… ice cream."
André looked at the ice cream ice cream, confused and saddened, while everyone else watched as Marinette sadly walked away.
Nino was about to take the ice cream when Alya pulled him away towards Marinette.
"Hey, I was gonna get another one!" he protested.
Ivan quickly finishes ice cream, and he, Mylène and Jack followed after Marinette.
André then fell to his knees sadly. "But André's ice cream always melts people's hearts." Marinette's ice cream dropped on the floor, and he began crying. "At least, it used to."
Hawk Moth immediately sensed André's sadness and instantly opened the windows of his lair.
"A thwarted artist, his shattered dreams and the collapse of his whole little world. Quite chilling," he said and turned a butterfly into an akuma. "Fly away, my little akuma, and freeze the heart of this ice cream maker!"
The akuma then fluttered out of his lair and headed straight towards the Pont des Arts bridge, where André was still crying.
"I don't understand. It's never failed. Ever," he said, and the akuma ended his ice cream scooper, and a butterfly halo appeared in front of André's face.
"Glaciator, I am Hawk Moth," said Hawk Moth telepathically. "Revenge is a dish best served cold since they refuse to let them melt their hearts. I'm giving you the power to melt their entire bodies instead! I only ask a little favour in return: Get me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous."
"Ladybug and Cat Noir flavoured ice cream?" he said, rising to his feet. "It's a deal, Hawk Moth. I'll even give a double scoop!"
Dark ether then began to cover his body, and that was quickly followed by ice cream flying out of his cart and covering his entire body. He then began to transform into a giant snowman only made with ice cream instead of snow.
The nearby citizens on the bridge immediately screamed as he became as tall as a three-storey building.
"Hello! How about some ice cream?" said Glaciator, looking down at them. "Will that do? Enjoy it; it's just for you!"
Ice cream suddenly flew out of his fists, and the moment one touched a person, they suddenly turned into ice cream themselves. Glaciator laughed as he walked away from the bridge when he noticed a couple hiding, but strangely, he refused to freeze and then walked away.
"Marinette?" he called.
Marinette was lying on her bed at home, agonised and distraught.
"What a disaster!" she moaned. "I ruined the whole night for all of my friends! I was mean to André! I'm so lame."
"You're not lame," said Tikki. "You just overreacted a little. Just let it go. Tomorrow will be a new day!"
"I'll never get to eat ice cream with Adrien," she said.
She then reached out and placed a hand on a photo of Adrien on her bulletin board. She sighed and made her way outside on her balcony. Tikki followed her, but she could tell that she wanted to be alone and flew back inside.
Cat Noir was feeling just as depressed as Marinette he had been waiting for or even for Ladybug, and she hadn't shown up.
"She loves me," he said and blew out a candle. "She loves me not." He then blew out another candle. "She loves me." He then blew on the candle and made his way to the final one. "She loves me…"
He was about to blow the last candle out but instead picked it up and looked at it sadly. He placed a down and stood on the balcony, completely heartbroken. From there, he noticed Marinette leaning on her balcony not too far away from him.
Marinette was still hanging on her balcony, immensely depressed.
"Hello," said a voice behind her.
Marinette gasped and turned around to see Cat Noir on the chimney. "Cat Noir?"
"Sorry," he said as he jumped down to sit on the balcony railings. " I didn't mean to frighten you."
"What are you doing here?" Marinette asked. "Don't you have like superhero-y things to do?"
"No, I don't feel like being a superhero tonight," he said. "And I also don't feel like being alone tonight. Would you mind if I hung out here for a little while?" Marinette smiled and nodded. "Marinette, right? We've bumped into each other before."
"Yeah, a bunch of times," she said, remembering that that wasn't technically true. "I mean—yes! We have. One time, a supervillain fell in love with me. Talk about bad luck."
"Seriously," Cat Noir agreed. "I seem to have bad luck in the love department myself."
"Really? What kind?" Marinette asked.
"Well, tonight, I had this special surprise all planned for Ladybug."
Marinette eyes widened. "You're in love with Ladybug?! For real?" Awkwardly, she then leaned against the balcony railing next to Cat Noir. "So what was this special surprise?"
Cat Noir sighed. "It doesn't really matter. 'Cause she never showed."
"Sounds like you and I both need a bit of cheering up tonight," said Marinette, equally depressed.
"You? You've gotten your heart broken, too?" he said.
"Yup," she nodded.
Cat Noir looked at her, and a small smile appeared on his face. He then spun around, landing on the balcony itself, and held his hand to Marinette.
"Hey, come with me," he said. Marinette stared at him and took his hand. He then lifted her in his arms, bridal style. "Close your eyes and hold on tight, okay?"
Marinette did exactly what she was told and closed her eyes.
A split second later, Cat Noir carried her off to the balcony where he was meant to have dinner with Ladybug.
"Just give me a minute," he said and began to let the candles. "Alright, you can open your eyes now."
Marinette opened her eyes and looked around in awe. "Wow! Cat Noir, this is…beautiful!" She then noticed the gloomy look on his face and suddenly felt guilty. "I'm so sorry."
"Why? It's not your fault," he said.
"No—Yeah—I mean—What I mean is I'm very sorry for you because, um, you prepared all of this and then… she didn't show."
"She told me she might not make it, but I had my fingers crossed," he said. "I really wanted her to come."
Marinette walked over to him. "Maybe she had a really good reason for not coming. Like, a problem or something."
"You're only saying that to make me feel better."
"Yeah. I mean— No! I mean—" She then saw Glaciator aiming at her. "Look out!"
Cat Noir turned around to see a projectile ice cream heading straight towards them. He quickly pulled out his staff and used it to block the attack. He then quickly picked up Marinette and jumped away.
"Marinette, party pooper, you're looking so sad and surly, but Glaciator will make it all better," said Glaciator. "Don't you worry!"
Cat Noir quickly hid behind a building and looked at Marinette. "What on Earth is that? Another supervillain in love with you?"
"No!" she said and recognised his voice. "That's André, the ice cream maker."
"The sweetheart's ice cream guy?" he said, slightly surprised. "He isn't looking too sweet right now."
"It's—It's a long story," she said, now feeling even more guilty.
Glaciator then started to sing as he started to freeze people. He even began launching ice cream into the air, causing it to rain down over the entire city.
"I'm Glaciator, the mean ice cream man. Escape my fury if you can! I melt your hearts, but I was wrong; now I'll freeze your bodies so long!"
Cat Noir used this opportunity to carry Marinette back to her house, though he had to watch out for the falling ice cream. Once he was on the balcony, Cat Noir lowered Marinette back into her bedroom.
"Go inside, Marinette," he said. "I'm gonna lead him away from you."
Marinette quickly grabbed his belt before he left. "Cat Noir! Thanks for cheering me up."
Cat Noir smiled at her. "It was the least I could do."
Once Cat Noir left, Tikki flew up to Marinette. "Wow, I've never seen the sensitive side of Cat Noir before."
"Yeah, maybe I was wrong about him," Marinette nodded. "Tikki, spots on!"
She then began to transform into Ladybug.
Cat Noir was making his way through the street when Sprite suddenly joined him.
"Don't remember the weather broadcast mentoring a rainfall of ice cream," he said.
"Tell me about it," said Cat Noir.
"So, what's the story of this living blob of ice cream?" Sprite asked.
"Apparently, that's André, the ice cream maker, and for some reason, he's after Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
"Then what you say we give Frosty the Snowman over there a different target?" Sprite smiled.
Cat Noir nodded, and they soon landed directly behind Glaciator.
"Hey, Snow Dude, you lookin' for me?" Cat Noir yelled.
Glaciator turned to face them. "Bad kitty! Where have you hidden Marinette?"
He then fired ice cream directly at them before they had a chance to say anything else, but they were able to dodge the attack.
"How does he expect us to answer when he attacks us like that?" said Sprite as they landed on a rooftop.
Glaciator kicked a police car straight at them. Sprite was able to jump out of the way, but Cat Noir wasn't as lucky and was sent flying and screaming. As luck would have it, Ladybug arrived and quickly created a net with her yo-yo catching him.
"Hello, Kitty," she smiled. "Did the bad guys leave you cold?"
"How was your amazing evening with your 'friends'?" he said partially.
Ladybug looked at him, confused and a little shocked by his harsh words, and then Sprite landed next to her.
"Glad you're here because Frosty the Snowman is here," he said.
Sure enough, she could see Glaciator had just turned around the corner.
"I've never tasted superhero flavour before," he said as he made his way down the street. "I can't wait to serve myself a double scoop!"
He then began firing ice cream down upon the citizens of Paris, and the three heroes quickly moved in to protect them. They then quickly hid behind a building amid the chaos.
"Don't forget what you promised me. Give me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous!" Hawk Moth reminded him.
"I'm a man of my word, Hawk Moth," said Glaciator, then turned his gaze upon the three heroes. "Come out now, or I'll bury Paris in an entire layer of ice cream!"
"The ice cream seems to fire out of his hand, and before André was akumatized, he served his ice cream using a-a whatcha-ma-call-it!" said Ladybug.
"The whatcha-ma-call-it's called an ice-cream scooper," said Cat Noir, with still a little anger in his voice. "That must be where he's hiding the akuma."
Glaciator turned around the corner, noticed them, and immediately fired ice cream. "It's been a ball, but now it's time to turn you into popsicles! Once and for all!"
The heroes managed to dodge the tax and quickly swung to the rooftop of a nearby building. A couple then suddenly walked out in the open, and Glaciator aimed his hand at them but hesitated to shoot them and let them go.
Ladybug noticed this. "That's weird. It looks like he's leaving the couples alone."
"Don't forget this is still André, and as such, his desires are mixed in with Hawk Moths; that's why it is so hard to control akumatized villains," said Sprite. "It's a combination of two desires instead of a single desire, and as search, our dear Glaciator would never fire upon a loving couple."
"Too bad for us," Cat Noir grumbled.
"You don't understand," said Ladybug. "We know he doesn't attack couples, so we could pretend—
Cat Noir narrowed his eyes. "Pretend?"
"To be in love!"
"Why us? Why not you and Sprite?" Cat Noir asked.
"Because it wouldn't be believable," said Sprite.
"Sprite's right, it has to be us," said Ladybug.
"Sorry, Ladybug, it's not cool to play with people's feelings," said Cat Noir coldly.
He suddenly launched himself at Glaciator, quickly extended his staff, and swung it down at his head. Unfortunately, it sliced through his body and got stuck, and Glaciator swung his body around, making Cat Noir slam into a nearby building.
Cat Noir collapsed to the ground, and Glaciator would have frozen him if Ladybug hadn't jumped to block it with her yo-yo. Sprite then landed next to Cat Noir and helped him onto his feet.
"Are you mad at me because I didn't show up?" Ladybug asked.
"What do you think?" he said furiously.
"I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Maybe we can have this conversation a little later," Sprite suggested.
Glaciator suddenly jumped towards them, but they quickly somersaulted out of the way and hid behind a car. Glaciator hit the ground, and his lower body covered the entire street, but he began pulling himself back together again.
"And I also had a surprise for you, too!" said Cat Noir, looking at Ladybug.
"In her defence, she did tell you she had plans tonight, and she had no idea how serious you were," Sprite pointed out.
"But I should have shown up," said Ladybug. "He went through all the trouble organising a surprise for me, and I even bothered to show myself. I'm really sorry, Cat Noir.
"No… I'm the one who's sorry," said Cat Noir. "Maybe another time."
"Show yourselves, cowards!" Glaciator demanded
Cat Noir looked at Ladybug. "I think we better try your idea."
Ladybug smiled. "Perfect."
"I know you're here!" Glaciator yelled.
Ladybug and Cat Noir then revealed themselves to Glaciator, and he raised his hand, preparing to fire at them. However, before that, Cat Noir held out his hand to Ladybug, but instead, she wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder.
"To think it took a supervillain of that size to get them this close," said Sprite, rolling his eyes.
Upon seeing this, Glaciator lowered his hands as Ladybug and Cat Noir approached him.
"Glaciator, fire! Now's the time! Freeze them! Forever!" Hawk Moth demanded.
Glaciator raised his hands again, but Ladybug quickly kissed Cat Noir on the cheek, surprising him.
"Hey!" Cat Noir whispered.
"It's all part of the plan," she said calmly.
"I can't, Hawk Moth!" said Glaciator. "They look so… in love."
Sprite shook his head. "You don't know the half of it, mate."
"Now!" Ladybug yelled and quickly swung her yo-yo into his chest, and they heard a small yell inside. " I've hit something inside. André hasn't turned into the monster; he's inside the monster!"
Glaciator then grabbed the yo-yo and pulled on it, sending her flying.
"Look out!" Cat Noir yelled, grabbing his staff.
Sprite also dashed out from behind the car and joined him, grasping his cane. They then use their weapons to cut through Glaciator's feet, causing him to fall over. The three heroes then use this opportunity to dash off behind a building quickly.
"This isn't… over!" Glaciator yelled.
"What should we do now?" Cat Noir asked.
"We've got to take care of Glaciator before all these people totally melt away! Lucky Charm!" Ladybug yelled, tossing her yo-yo into the air, and materialising was a red motorcycle helmet with black spots.
"Looks like someone's going for a ride," Cat Noir joked.
"So long as it's not an ice cream van, I don't care what we drive," said Sprite.
Ladybug began looking around. Her eyes fell upon a nearby bench, a bus, a motorcycle, a lamppost, a signpost, Cat Noir's belt and finally, his staff, giving her an idea.
"Cat Noir, I need you to grab three signposts and tie them to your stick," she instructed. "We're gonna make a propeller! Sprite, push that bus in front of that bench!"
"A propeller?" Cat Noir blinked as she ran off.
"I wonder what convoluted plan she's got planned this time," said Sprite.
The three heroes began gathering everything needed for Ladybug's plan. Sprite began moving the bus to the bench. Ladybug grabbed a nearby motorcycle, and Cat Noir made the propeller that Ladybug requested. They all met behind the bus, and Ladybug wore the motorcycle helmet.
"A popsicle freeze is coming your way! If you don't pass my press!" Glaciator sang as he turned round the corner.
Ladybug looked at Cat Noir. "Alright, now give me your belt!"
"I'm Glaciator; you can't run from me! Handover your Miraculous!"
Ladybug then jumped on top of the bus and swung her yo-yo around, wrapping it around the lamppost directly behind Glaciator as he was wrapping around his body, trapping him. He tried to move but was completely stuck, so instead, he began firing ice cream, and Ladybug quickly somersaulted behind the bus.
Ladybug then mounted the motorcycle and revved its engine. They have replaced the back wheel with Cat Noir's belt and attached it to his homemade propeller. This, in turn, caused it to spin, and the faster she pulled on the accelerator, the faster it went.
"Ready, kitty?" Ladybug yelled.
Cat Noir then held out his hand. "Cataclysm!"
He then placed his hand on the bus, causing it to disintegrate and allowing the propeller to unleash a small tornado.
"Faster!" Cat Noir yelled.
Ladybug kit on the accelerator, causing the propeller to spin even faster in the hot wind, began melting the ice cream right off Glaciator, revealing André, now unconscious. She switched off the air motorcycle engine once all the ice cream was gone.
They then quickly rushed towards the lampposts, and Ladybug retreated her yo-yo while Cat Noir grabbed the ice cream scooper. He tossed it over to Ladybug, who smashed it on the ground, freeing the akuma.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma," she said, spinning her yo-yo. "Time to de-evilize!" She swung her yo-yo, catching the akuma, and pulled it back. "Gotcha!" She then released the now-purified butterfly and watched as it fluttered away. "Bye-bye, little butterfly."
She then tossed her motorcycle helmet into the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!"
The magical ladybugs were then released and began repairing all the damage, reverting everyone back to normal.
The three heroes then bumped fists. "Pound it!"
"Sacré blue! How enchanting!" André yelled cheerfully, hugging both Ladybug and Cat Noir. "Saved from the cold by a couple of super lovebirds!"
The three heroes looked at one another.
Cat Noir merely shrugged as he looked at Ladybug. "He said it."
"Okay, I'm definitely starting to feel like a third wheel," said Sprite.
Everyone then laughed.
"Ladybug, you've melted all my plans!" said Hawk Moth frustratingly. "But someday, I will triumph, and it will taste of such sweet revenge!"
He then closed the window to his lair.
Cat Noir then escorted Ladybug to the balcony where he had set up a surprise, and she just looked around in wonder.
"It's beautiful, Cat Noir," she said.
Cat Noir smiled. "Aren't you glad you finally came?"
Ladybug looked at him awkwardly. "Listen, I don't wanna play around with your feelings. It would be the same as lying to you. I don't wanna do that. You're more than a partner, Cat Noir. You're my friend. And I'd never wanna lie to a friend."
"Why do you think it'd be lying?" Cat Noir frowned.
"Because there's this boy I…"
"There's a boy?" said Cat Noir slowly. "Who is…?"
"It's— I can't tell you who it is," she said. "We can't know anything about each other. Our identities must remain a secret. We're both superheroes, Cat Noir. We don't have a choice."
There was an awkward silence between the two of them as they looked at one another sadly.
Cat Noir finally walked up to her with a smile before handing her the rose he was holding.
"I get it, Ladybug. Your friendship means everything to me," she said, kissing her on the cheek. "You can keep the rose. It goes with your costume."
He then left, leaving behind a blushing Ladybug.
"He took it rather well, I think," said Sprite as he jumped onto the balcony.
Ladybug's face turned even brighter pink. "H-How long have you been there?"
"Long enough," he shrugged and leaned against the balcony railings. "Listen, I know it's pretty hard to you can't share your social lives with one another, but you can't discount the feelings that you have."
"What do you mean?" Ladybug asked, confused.
"I'm just saying that you have to be careful," he said, folding his arms. "Love is a very powerful emotion, but it can also be quite dangerous. You can't let it consume you, nor can you ignore it."
Ladybug then turned back, looking at the spot where Cat Noir had been a few seconds ago.
Adrien had finally made it back home, and one de-transformed he fell onto his bed looking strangely happy.
"The only way to get over a heartache is to eat a whole bunch of cheese!" said Plagg. "Shall we?"
"I don't have a heartache, Plagg," said Adrien.
"Great! So then… no cheese fest?" said Plagg, looking extremely disappointed.
"Perhaps Ladybug will love me someday," he said. "I mean, like, I love her. I have to believe. In the meantime, her friendship is the best gift of all."
Plagg looked as if he was about to throw up. "Blagh! All this sweet talk is grossing me out! I need Camembert!"
The next day at Canal Saint-Martin, André opened his ice cream stand again.
"Hello, André," said Marinette as she walked up the bridge.
"Hey, pretty Marinette!" André smiled. "Can I offer you some ice cream? To eat this time."
"Of course! How else would I know if your ice cream is really the best in Paris?"
André then began to scoop some ice cream for Marinette. "Peach pink like his lips and mint like his eyes!"
He gave the ice cream to Marinette, who immediately began to taste it. "It's delicious!"
"Do you still think it doesn't lock two loves together?" André asked.
"Never say never. Have a good day, André!" she said as she walked away to the end of the bridge.
"See you again soon, my dear!" André waved.
Marinette made her would-be to the end of the bridge and sat down. When no one was lucky, she fed Tiki some of her ice cream, who found it delicious.
Around the same time, Adrien walked up on the other side of the bridge towards André.
"Another customer!" André beamed the moment he saw him. "Welcome! Would you like some of André's Sweetheart's Ice-cream?"
"Is your ice cream really magical?" Adrien asked.
"What do you think?" André asked, tapping him on the chest.
"I think you have to believe."
"You're spot on, son!" André nodded and began scooping ice cream for him. "Strawberry with black chocolate chip! Blackberries for her hair, and blueberry ice cream just like her sky blue stare!" He then handed him the ice cream. "On the house!"
Adrien looked at the ice cream enthusiastically, and André couldn't help but notice his smile. "There's love in your eyes! André can see it clear as day! This love is true!"
"Have a good day!" Adrien waved and began making his way back to his bodyguard's car, enjoying his ice cream.
Both Marinette and Adrien were both on opposite ends of each side of the bridge, enjoying their ice cream.
