Chapter 1412 Little Red Lie

At the appartment Leonidas and he was resting for a bit.
"Well it was nice for that show, but maybe I can make a quick search while we're not busy." He makes a portal and makes a quick trip.
Kazuo came inside and looks around. "Where's Leo?"
Later
Leonidas was in a new world searching for something new to add to his experiments when he sees a woman in red enter a house with a broken off door and blood on the ground.
"This is not good." He follows her.
He enters the house and sees her looking around.
"Hey." He said catching her attention and making her jump in surprise.
"Who are you?" She questions.
"I am Leonidas. You?" Leo asks.
"I'm Red."
"Nice to meet you Red, what are you doing here?" He asked.
"I came here to honor my grandma but I was told she is alive." Red said.
"Who told you that?" He said.
"A talking cat after I gave it a bird." Red said.
"Another one." He got surprised since this is the second time he saw a talking cat.
"You saw one too?" Red questions in surprise.
"Yeah, in a different place. But seeing this place..." Leonidas looks around and noticed bones in the stove. "These aren't chicken bones that's for sure."
"I think you're right. here is a locked cupboard but I don't have a way to open it." Red said as she shows the padlocked cupboard to him.
"Stand up." He said.
She stood behind him as he cuts the clock with his sword.
She looks at him in surprise as he opens the cupboard.
"A empty wine bottle?" He questions grabbing it.
He goes foward and sees a cauldron and a recipe for a potion. "I see, we need to make a potion."
"A potion?" Red questions.
"Possibly to trap something, is there any creature that US dangerous in this area?" Leonidas asked her.
"A wolf. I saw it while looking around but it wasn't normal." Red said.
"What do you mean?" Leonidas questions.
"It was huge with its mouth as on its stomach and it had four eyes on the front of its body. The only things the head had were its ears and nose." Red said.
Leonidas thinks about it. "Then we should gather the materials and bring them here, since this is a chance to trap the beast."
"Trap it?" Red questions. "How?"
"We need to gather the ingredients, since the potion is way to bind the beast." He said.
"Ok but where could we find some of these?" Red questions.
"Well outside seems to be the only way." He said.
"Great." Red said with a sigh.
"Stay close to me." He holds her hand.
She blushes a bit at this.
They went out to the woods and he noticed a well.
"Well we need a bucket." He said.
"Couldn't we use the bottle?" Red questions.
"It wouldn't be able to collect better and would break if we're not careful." Leonidas said.
"True." Red said.
They went out to look for the bucket while making sure nobody was there.
They didn't find it near the house so they went to the right path.
"Okay, let's quickly check before that wolf appears." Leonidas said.
But he's also thinking about those bones, if that's Red's grandmother's place, does that mean she's up to something.
Then they see the Saffron.
"That was fast." Leonidas said as he grabs some.
"Yes, but where could the bucket and meat be?" She said.
"We might as well keep going down this path for a bit longer." Leonidas said placing the Saffron in a secured place.
"Yes." She nodded.
They kept moving until they reach a cave.
"This is a large cave." Leonidas said before noticing the pedestal.
"I think it's his den." Red stares at it.
"The bucket might be in there or at least some meat from a animal it didn't finish eating." Leonidas said.
She grabs his hand again to feel safe. "Then let's go."
Leonidas nods as they enter the cave. Luckily Red had grab a lantern from the house before they left so they had light.
They went down the path and looked around, then a strange bat creature came down making Leonidas push her down with him.
She blushes a bit as she feels his arms around her.
"We must be careful." he said.
"Right." Red said with a nod.
They went foward avoiding other creatures, when they reached a nest they saw a animal head near it.
"Looks like we got something for the meat." Leonidas said as he grabs the head and wraps it in a cloth.
"Yes, we must go now." She said.
Leonidas nods but leaves a little surprise for the wolf just in case.
They went out and headed back to the house to grind the meat.
"Okay, that's one done." He said.
"And we have the Saffron." Red said.
"We still need that bucket, so the other side." Leonidas looks at her.
"Right." She said before they hear a howl.
"That was from the wolf." Red said.
He takes her and they hide behind a tree, they saw the wolf pass by.
Leonidas looks at with a serious look as he sees what Red said about its appearance. The many eyes and huge mouth it has, he holds her before the wolf goes away.
She blushes a bit as she feels his muscular torso.
"Let's go." He said.
She nods as they start moving again, they kept going and saw a bucket beat a tree.
"There it is." Leonidas said.
"Let's take it and go back, before it comes back again." Red said.
Leonidas nods as he grabs it. As much I didn't want to go find a bucket and use Wood release to make one, I couldn't scare her as if she saw me use powers it might make her frighten.
"Now we need rope and rice." Leonidas said.
She looks around and saw a tree with a rope, she gets it down. "Done."
Leonidas then sees the rice and grabs it.
"Now we just need the wine." Leonidas said.
They went back to the well, while making sure the wolf didn't follow them.
Leonidas ties the rope to the bucket and the well's wrench.
"Now let's see." He pulls it up. "Wine?" The bucket was full of wine.
"Why would the well be full of wine?" Red questions in surprise.
"I don't know but we have the last thing we need for the potion." Leonidas said.
The two went inside after Leonidas fills the bottle with wine and they set the ingredients on the table as Leonidas reads the recipe.
"Ok we need to get the measurements right. And they're in the form of a riddle." Leonidas said.
Leonidas started to do it as Red watches hopping it gets it right, he carefully measures everything out and starts placing them in the pot.
"That should do it." He starts to cook it all.
"Do you think this will work?" Red asks.
"I'm not sure but if it doesn't I have ways to take care of the wolf." Leonidas said.
She got curious to what he's saying. "Do we need to go to his den?"
"I believe so. We need to get some of its fur and place the potion in the pedestal." Leonidas said.
"Okay, then let's go." She was worried.
"Don't worry. I will protect you." Leonidas said making her blush a bit.
The two went out as they reached the cave, Red holds his hand.
"If you want you can hide near here while I go get the fur." Leonidas said.
"I want to be with you, since I feel safer." She said.
Leonidas smiles a bit.
"Alright. Stay close." Leonidas said.
The two went inside as they sneaked to avoid the bats, they noticed the wolf sleeping.
They look at each other and nod before Leonidas carefully takes some fur from it.
He nodded at her and they sneaked faster out of the place. They evade the bats again and exit out of the cave.
"Now to take care of this wolf." Leonidas said as he add the fur to the potion.
It starts to glow as they put in the fountain nearby causing rocks to cover the area with markings.
"Its done." Leonidas said.
"It's over." Red said.
"Red, Honey? Is that you?" They hear a old woman speak.
"G-grandma?" Red questions stunned but this makes Leonidas narrows his eyes.
"Don't listen to her." Leonidas said.
"B-but that's my grandma's voice." Red said.
"Red we sealed the wolf in there and we were in that cave twice. There was no one else then the wolf in the second time." Leonidas said.
Then a cat came."He's right."
"You again?" Red questions in surprise.
"That thing is both the wolf and your grandmother because of what she did." The cat said.
"Let me guess. She killed and ate children judging from the bones in the stove." Leonidas said frowning as Red gasps in horror.
"Good guess." He smiles.
"B-but it can't be her." Red said trying to deny the reality. Leonidas grabs her by the shoulders and looks her straight in the eyes.
"Not everyone is what we knew, trust me. I can't let you suffer." He said.
Red blushes as her heart races at the serious look in his eyes.
They held hands and walked away from the cave.
"Red please let me out of here!" They hear but ignored.
"Don't look back." Leonidas said.
She nods as she held his hand tightly.
"Red!" They heard her as the voice was getting distorted.
They kept moving and ignoring her voice.
Leonidas looks back and wonders about his surprise.
"Really?" She said.
"Yes. There are many wonders out there and I want to show them to you." Leonidas said.
She holds his hand tighter with a smile.
Leonidas does the same. He takes her and they saw Mia and Alice Liddell looking at them.
"Oh hey girls." Leonidas said.
"Leo is this a new member?" Alice asks him.
"Member?" Red asked.
"Yes. He has many lovers. With all of our consent." Mia said.
She got surprised to hear that.
"Is that okay for you?" he asked.
"Yeah just surprised. You do give everyone equal attention right?" Red questions.
"Of course." Leonidas nods.
Red kisses Leonidas right away, he was surprised but kisses back.
Leonidas took them back to the mansion before going to the world of Berserk since he has to see Juri again for a special date with her, he's glad to have saved Red.
Note: Here's a special side chapter for Little Red Lie, as Leonidas saved Red and helped her, with Alice Liddell and Mia appearing since they're like Red as they're all characters with a story book theme.
