It was nightfall when Peter made his way back to camp. He had spent the day preparing an attack and making sure he was one step ahead of the adults. Ember couldn't wait to be relieved of babysitting duty. She thought that the day would be more interesting, but she didn't thank Peter for making her hang out with Henry all day. "What did you get up to?" she wondered.

"We can't talk here, so get Felix and meet me out of sight of Henry." Peter instructed as he made his way over to talk to Henry.

Unwillingly Ember searched for Felix who seemed to be enjoying torturing another boy about how useless he had been today he seemed to get a kick with putting others down the only reason Ember was in his good books was how much Peter valued her which made Felix grumble as he tolerated her existence. "Hey Felix Peter wants to see us" She explained this made him stop torturing and he reluctantly followed her.

They met up with Peter behind a tree out of view of a now sleeping Henry and the other lost boys. "What did you do to the boy?" Felix wondered as it seemed that Henry was in a full deep sleep.

"Oh it's nothing it's just a plant that make people fall into a deep sleep it should keep him out of the way" Peter explained. "Make sure that you are both ready for tonight and bring the most skilled boys".

"Oh, good! Finally, I can have some fun." Ember expressed. "What did you have in mind?".

"We are going to give our unwanted guests a surprise" He smirked.

A couple of hours later as darkness fell over the island which made perfect cover Peter led them through the jungle to a quiet clearing they where the first to arrive taking their positions behind the big leaf bushes waiting for Peter signal. It didn't take long for the adults to arrive make lot of noise and alerting them to their presence it made Ember chuckle knowing how unorganized they where it would make it easier to beat them her eyes was glued to Regina her target that she missed most of Peters speech. "Sorry. Can't. Don't you know? Cheaters never win." Henry smirked alerting the boys and Ember to attack rushing down the embankment heading straight for Regina who was ready with her own magic to attack.

In a spit second arrows started to fly and ricochet and in the heat of the moment some of the boys where not paying attention got caught in Regina's electrical powers that they where flung to the floor. Using her anger Ember channelled her magic admitting a blaze from her hands she aimed her fire ball at Regina which went hurling at a nearby tree annoyed she tried again she started to wonder if she should have practiced her magic in her spare time.

Finally, she managed to throw a fireball towards Regina, who successfully dodged it, only the side of her hair getting singed. "Really" Regina taunted. "You know you'll have to try harder than that if you wish to beat me." She added. "You know you look familiar; have we met before?" She wondered.

Without saying a word, Ember grabbed her pocket knife and lunged at Regina. More lost boys surrounded, ready to fight. Swiftly, Ember managed to make a small nick on the side of her neck using her magic. Regina managed to blast Ember, knocking her into a nearby tree. But before Regina could finish her off, Peter had signaled to everyone to retreat and return to his side. Clutching her body, Ember slowly got up and walked back up the embankment. She was quite annoyed at how little damage she had managed to inflict.

The group quickly rushed back through the jungle in order to leave no trace of where the camp was. They made sure to destroy all evidence of footprints. It didn't take long to reach camp, where the lost boys were contemplating the events of the fight. Many of them were shaken; they had seen violence and death before, but this time they wondered if Peter might fail. Meanwhile, Ember had successfully hobbled over to a nearby log situated by the fire that the boys had immediately started upon their arrival back at camp.

"How are you feeling?" Peter wondered making his way over to Ember with a smirk upon his face.

"I guess it could have been worse." Ember tried to giggle, though the pain in her ribs was sharp." I hope your plan worked." She expressed.

"Of course, it's all a matter of confusing the enemy and making them turn on one another." Peter explained. "You should rest; you'll need all your strength for the fight ahead."

While Ember rested her hurt body, the boys quickly got to work dismantling the camp according to Peter's orders. They would have to move early in the morning, and all of them were quite eager to get some sleep. Due to the pain Ember was feeling, she slouched towards the ground and pulled her hood over her head. She settled in for a well-needed slumber.
