Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, after arriving at Nanda Parbat, Blaze and company managed to call upon the spirit of Dick Grayson, the first Robin and current Deadman, hoping beyond hope that he knew how to bring Dragnarok back from within Darkblood. And he managed to confirm that he did before we cut out last time. So, what will it take? Read on to hopefully discover...

(Our story resumes not in Nanda Parbat, but in the Nameless City, where Darkblood and Enchantress are running Armageddon through his paces, seeing just how indestructible the golem is.)

Darkblood: It looks like this Golem is a success! (Laughs slightly) I haven't lost my touch yet!

Enchantress: (Slightly... off) Indeed...

Darkblood: (Noticing something is indeed off about her) You seem off. What's going on?

(But before Enchantress can respond, she collapses. Darkblood manages to catch her before she hits the floor.)

Darkblood: Okay, now I know something serious is going on. It takes a lot to get you down.

Enchantress: (Realizes exactly what's going on.) It's him. My polar opposite. The Deadman.

Darkblood: Deadman? Boston Brand, still kicking about after all these years, I see. Thankfully he's pathetic, an easy enough foe to defeat.

Enchantress: Not him. Boston Brand was replaced. There's a new Deadman.

Darkblood: (Now slightly unnerved) A new one? Who is it?

Enchantress: Dick Grayson.

(Darkblood looks on surprised, having only vague memories of that name. He knows Dragnarok never met him, but he's heard of his abilities. The first Robin is the stuff of legend in this world after all.)

Darkblood: Why would he show up now? Unless... (Realizes the truth) We have to stomp him out as soon as possible. Where are they?

Enchantress: Where else would you find the Deadman? Nanda Parbat.

Darkblood: Hmm... (Thinks about it a second, then comes up with an idea) This would be a good opportunity to put Armageddon through a more practical trial!

Enchantress: (Seeing the evilness in this plan and just loving it) Brilliant as usual, my love.

Darkblood: Get Armageddon ready. We strike within the hour.

(As the two villains make their plan, we transition back to Nanda Parbat, where Blaze and co are still speaking with Dick Grayson, by way of possessing John Constantine.)

Dick Grayson: And good thing he did. I know just what you need to do.

Blaze: Then please, tell us!

Dick Grayson: It's not that simple, I'm afraid.

Blaze: You don't know what extremes I'm willing to go to for this to work.

Dick Grayson: It's not a matter of extremes, it's... well, everything involved in this is basically a riddle in verse or prose. And trying to figure it out is like me trying to solve a Baxter's Box without a sledgehammer.

Blaze: (Trying to figure out the reference in that last line) I'm... not even going to ask.

Dick Grayson: Probably a good move.

Blaze: So then, what do we need?

Dick Grayson: I'm going to need to look back for specifics, but it requires twelve things to get started. And there's only a few I can remember off the top of my head. Those being "the forbearance of a dead man", "the remains of fate", "that which seals the Old Ones", "the bane of magic made into might", and the only one I can actually kind of understand: "the living lightning."

Red Hood: I see what you mean, none of that makes sense.

Batman: Except for that last one. "The Living Lightning".

Starfire: Perhaps it means the Speed Force?

Batgirl: That could work. Then all we'd need to do is get Barry or Jay to run around the other eleven items.

Blaze: No. It's not the Speed Force. There's only one person on Earth who uses the term "Living Lightning." Black Adam. We need the Power of Shazam to pull this off, plus whatever the other eleven are.

Dick Grayson: And even then, it's a little more complicated than just gather the objects together, trap Darkblood between them and he'll turn back to Dragnarok.

Deathstroke: Because of course magic isn't that easy.

Blaze: Then what does it actually do?

Dick Grayson: The twelve things, when gathered, allow a thirteenth item, "That Which Was Always There", to work. And that is what brings Dragnarok back.

Blaze: Enough with the cryptic mysticism, what do we need?

Dick Grayson: I'll get you a full list when I have them. And as for the last thing, you've already used it. It's...

(But before Dick Grayson can finish that statement and reveal what the last thing is, the sound of something rumbling in the distance can be heard, throwing everybody off guard)

Catwoman: What was that?

Mr. Freeze: An avalanche, perhaps?

Blaze: That didn't sound like an avalanche.

(Following Blaze's comment, a guard bursts in the door)

Guard: Forgive the intrusion, but Nanda Parbat is under attack, by some kind of rock creature!

Blaze: (Thinking back to the stories of Dragnarok's parents) I've got a bad feeling about this.

Dick Grayson: We need to get out there then.

Harley Quinn: Wait, kid, are you sure about that?

Dick Grayson: I haven't seen any action in years!

Batman: No. We can't risk losing you now.

Dick Grayson: Come on Bruce, we really don't have time to fight about this now. Let's get out there.

Blaze: For once, I'm with Batman. If that thing is what I'm thinking it is, it's way too dangerous.

Dick Grayson: Sounds like we're not going to get the chance, based on what I'm hearing.

Blaze: (Sighing) Alright then. Let's do this.

(As the group rushes out to confront the enemy, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for today. So, it looks like there's a series of things to collect in order to bring Darkblood back, and it looks like Blaze already has one of them, which is probably the most cryptic of them. But before we get anything about that, some kind of rock creature is attacking Nanda Parbat. I think we can all tell what this is, but let's save something for the next update. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
