Ben and Mira finally start training their younger siblings after seeing their full capabilities. Of course, their training methods are different. Ben took Lisanna, Wendy and Carla to the Magic Library while Mira went to the guild's training ground with Elfman and Bella.
Even though they went to different places, they are going to learn the same thing, magic theories. They will learn more about their magic to gain a better understanding of it. But while Lisanna, Wendy and Carla can read books to do it, Elfman can't, so Mira will explain it to him directly while providing examples.
Ben gives them the books that the 3 girls need to read. He explained the things that they don't understand and even simplified some complex theories. Of course, he shows them examples every once in a while to help them understand better.
He also gave lessons to others who are reading books in the Magic Library. Most of them are the new members and his ex-students from the Magic School. Levy, Lucy and Freed also ask him a few questions. They were the only ones who will read books and not stop after flipping a few pages.
Learning from magic books will increase their understanding of their magic. They can also interpret the knowledge in their own way and apply it with their own styles. There are many books detailing the same magic, so they can obtain a lot references.
Ben gave them all Gale Force Reading Glasses to increase their reading speed. He also produced clones to help him explain stuff to them while he reads some books himself. He hadn't finished scanning all the books in the Magic Library because of his tight schedule before, so he used this chance to scan more books.
Meanwhile, Mira is teaching Elfman by practicing magic. He is one of those people who has book allergies, so he can't read books. The only way to do it is by teaching him directly through practice and Mira is the best teacher when it comes to Take-Over Magic.
Bella is accompanying and helping them as moral support. She just stayed there while drinking milk and occasionally cheering Elfman on. In other words, she was just having fun watching Elfman getting beat up by Mira during their training.
Mina, one of Ben's former students from the Magic School who uses Take-Over Magic also joined Elfman's training. She had read the books in the library over the last 3 years, so she only needed practice. Mira had taught her for quite some time so they are quite close.
Their theoretical lessons lasted for a week before they start practical training. Well, Elfman just resumed his previous training. The girls who were reading books just started their practical training though.
They need to apply what they've learned last week into practice. Mira is teaching Lisanna now while Elfman is being taught by Ben's clone. Ben is teaching him control while also increasing Elfman's power.
The real Ben is training Wendy and Carla right now. He gave them pointers while they try to apply what they've learned into practice. He has scanned almost all the magic books in the library, so A.I Chip has a lot of data and can help him uncover problems with the girls' magic training.
Actually, he had planned how to improve Wendy's magic and even created new spells for her. He didn't know what magic Carla will learn so he just came up with a plan to increase her magic power and control. He also has a plan for Lisanna and Elfman.
However, he didn't immediately tell them about his plans. He wants them to know more about their magic and what path they'll take. Then he will help them with what he has.
They keep training every day and soon the Wizard Saint tournament was underway. A week before the tournament started, Ben and Mira took their siblings with them on a job. They don't go together though. The Strausses go on their own while Ben and his sisters also go on their own.
Their jobs weren't S-Class jobs because it's only meant to test their progress. The results were good for a month of training. They have a deeper understanding of their magic. That's why they can improve faster than in the past.
Then, a day before the Wizard Saint tournament began, Fairy Tail went to the venue in their magic airship. This year's tournament took place in the land of Isvan. A majority of them haven't gone to this country, including Ben, so this will be a good vacation.
Normal people and guilds will need to go a few days in advance to book hotels and tickets. But they didn't need to do all that because Ben was a Wizard Saint. He can just book everything through the Magic Council. He has privilege.
Their next destination, the land of Isvan, is a winter country. It is cold for almost a full year and a lot of places are covered by snow all year round. That's why there are a lot of ice mages here, but strangely their Wizard Saint isn't an ice mage.
The land of Isvan only has 1 Wizard Saint. It's the woman who won the 1st Wizard Saint tournament and defeated a Wizard Saint from the land of Isvan. She still held her title to this day and the man she defeated hadn't tried to retake his title.
Just like the last few years, almost all Wizard Saints are absent. The only one who came from another country was Ben. So the only Wizard Saints there were him and the woman who used Cut Magic, Ellie.
"Thank you for coming, Master Ben." Ellie said as he exited the airship. She came to meet him personally because he is a fellow Wizard Saint, an important figure.
Ben shook her hand.
"I'm no longer the master, so just call me Ben." He said.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Ellie asked.
"I've resigned from the position and returned it to the previous master." Ben answered.
Ellie seemed to recall something.
"Ah! That's right, Master Makarov, another Wizard Saint. I don't really understand what happened 3 years ago, but I'm glad that they are fine and have returned." She said.
Ellie looks at Makarov before approaching him and shaking his hands. Then she guides him back to their hotel so they can rest. Ben and Ellie talk while they walk to the hotel.
"I guess that guy will make a move at this tournament." Ben said.
"Yes, it's been 2 years and we're holding the tournament in this country, so this is the best chance for him to take it back. I doubt he will let go of this chance." Ellie replied.
"Well, you and Mike seem to have a deep history, so the possibility of him going after you is high." Ben noted.
They arrive at the hotel after walking for a few minutes. Ellie left them on their own and the Fairy Tail mages head to their rooms. Ben then realized Gray wasn't looking so good so he asked if Gray was alright.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." Gray said before he entered his room.
Ben just shrugged his shoulders. He won't force Gray to tell him anything so he left. Mira then informed him that Gray was from Isvan and that was enough for him.
"Well, I can't do anything about it. This is something he needs to deal with himself. Also, I'm not that close to Gray, so I couldn't help him even if I wanted to. He should be fine. He wouldn't come here if he wasn't." Ben said.
"I hope so." Mira sighed.
The Fairy Tail mages then rest and the tournament finally commenced the next day.
