160. The Escape (15)

The thought of the Yeerks making creatures that they would be able to infest, beginning with the shark-Controllers that they were trying to create in this underwater base of theirs, wasn't one that Tommy was particularly fond of. Of course, the knowledge that he and the rest of the Animorphs had all been implanted with Yeerk technology wasn't one he enjoyed, either. That, or the fact that they were clearly going to have to destroy the entire underwater facility if they wanted to get rid of the implants.

"There may be hundreds of Controllers here," Marco said, as all of them demorphed and began discussing what they were going to do next. "We can't just go wild and get away with it."

"No, but we need a distraction," Jake said, eyes narrowing slightly. "There needs to be two teams: one to get to the controls of this place. The other to, as you said, go wild and keep the Yeerks' attention on us."
