Author's Note: Now for something I've been planning for awhile. A Kingdom Hearts reboot in fanfic form, and using several types of media! Yep, I'm doing almost everything, from TV shows (live action and animated) to video games and even, of course, movies! The only difference? There won't be Disney related stuff in here.

Yep! Fully reimagined, adding my own OC's and creating a new version of the story, but with a few things kept in. So, without further ado, I present to you, Kingdom Hearts: The Multimedia Edition! I don't own Kingdom Hearts, it belongs to Square Enix and Disney respectively. Any and all forms of media and properties in this story belong to their respective owners! I sincerely hope you all enjoy this! Please read and review.

Chapter One: The Land Of Awakening Part 1

The sun rose that morning, illuminating its light across the city and forest. The city itself, was protected by two, hundred foot gates. Surrounding said gates was a forest which seemed to go on forever.

This city was called the Land Of Awakening. A home to hundreds of residents. Even as the sun rose, the inhabitants were already out and about, starting their daily activities. Some were going shopping, others were starting their routine of preparing baked goods.

One thing was for sure. The town's inhabitants were unaware of an apocalyptic event, that would shatter their lives. Said event would begin within the next twenty-four hours.

Jack awoke that morning with a sigh. As he sat up with a yawn, and a stretch, he took in his room's familiar surroundings. He eventually, with the memory of him and his friends going on an adventure, stood up shakily and made his way to begin his traditional routine.

Jack had dark brown hair, which was spiked wether he brushed it or not, and the bluest eyes anyone had ever seen. As he put on his traditional brown t shirt, slid on a pair of dark blue shorts, and tied his grey shoes, he had an ever present smile on his face.

He was going outside of the town's walls. Only a few people went out there, but would come back in within a twenty minute time frame. Five, if said residents were too afraid to even take two steps. Well, Jack and his two friends were about to change that!

Thinking of his friends made him happy, even if he had a bad day. After finishing his morning routine, he walked to his bedroom door and took one look back, seeing the bed and a floor covered with clothing. He'd put those clothes away when he got back, he decided, and stepped out the door closing it behind him.

He looked around the town seeing the hustle and bustle of his home's day to day life. He knew everyone who lived here, even if he didn't meet them. There was the baker, the three merchants who sold overpriced clothing and food, and even the town's librarian. As he passed the merchant, said person called out to him.

"Jack! May I interest you in hard boiled eggs? Or maybe a ham and cheese sandwich?" He asked Jack hopefully, knowing that he didn't have a very profitable work week.

"No thank you Bob!" Jack called out. "But I'll buy your famous homemade chili later tonight!"

Bob smiled. He knew Jack was a kind boy and always kept his word. "Good enough for me!" He called back as a customer walked up asking about the breakfast and lunch items.

Jack ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He had a huge smile on his face. He and his two best friends were going out past the gates that shut The Land Of Awakening off from the outside world!

ZZZ

There were two giant gates that blocked the Land Of Awakening from a forest of unknown nature. Nobody went out, and for certain, nothing came in. That was what scared the folks more than leaving. The potential of letting something...or someone...in.

Jack saw his two best friends and waved happily. The two friends saw him and waved him over. As Jack grinned from ear to ear, he continued his run toward them.

The first of the two friends was a girl by the name of Abby. Abby, wore a pink t shirt and had blue shorts, much like Jack. Her long, straight hair was a brilliant blue, with a bow on the left side. She smiled as Jack ran up, and blinked her emerald green eyes a slight blush on her face. Though she would NEVER admit it-at least, right now-she had a huge crush on Jack.

"Took ya long enough," said the other friend causing Abby to giggle and Jack to stick his tongue out in mock annoyance. This particular person, was named Cedric. He had short black hair, and wore all black. Black shirt, black shorts and-if you guessed black shoes, you'd be absolutely correct-you name it! The only thing that wasn't black, was his light grey eyes.

"Well SORRY," Jack said with a smirk. "I was doing cool stuff!" He lied hoping Cedric would take the bait.

Cedric smirked and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sleeping in AND talking to the food merchant is SO cool." He chuckled sarcastically as Jack winced.

Dang it! Jack thought to himself. I should've known he wouldn't fall for it...he sighed. "Ok, ok. I may have over-exaggerated bit," he sighed.

Cedric raised an eyebrow. "A BIT?" He asked as if he were actually joking. He laughed good heartedly at Jack's glare. "Ok, enough fooling around," he demanded, still joking. Well, slightly at least. "We're going out past the gates."

"Where are we going?" Abby inquired. She was genuinely curious where Cedric was going to take them.

Cedric grinned from ear to ear. "There's this odd cave, somewhere near the middle of the forest." He walked forward. "And guess who's going to explore it?" He said rhetorically.

"The three of us!" Abby answered with a giggle. Jack however, stayed silent. A cave? He thought to himself. In all actuality, while he feared nothing, not criminals or scary things in general, something about a cave threw him off.

"A cave?" He asked quietly. Cedric looked to him and chuckled.

"What's wrong Jack?" He said feigning concern. "Scared of a little cave?" He challenged.

Jack immediately glared at Cedric. "Heck no!" He shouted a little too loud. A few onlookers stared at the trio and rolled their eyes. They knew there three were friends. They didn't really know what they were talking about. They also didn't pay much attention.

"Shh!" Cedric hissed. "With a shout like that, we'll NEVER get to leave this town. It's supposed to be a secret!" He added with an exasperated expression.

"Ok, ok," Jack said holding up his hands in defense. "I'm sorry. Let's go, ok?" He said impatiently, and stormed past them sneaking out of a hidden hole in the brick wall next to the gate.

Abby rolled her eyes. "You two are so dramatic!" She said with a chuckle sneaking through.

"Wha-wait just a minute!" Cedric said following suit.

The forest was huge. Well, no, that's just a minor explanation. It was massive, filled with trees that were only hundreds of feet tall. But to the three teenagers? It seemed like thousands of feet.

Jack walked alongside Abby hands in his pockets. Abby herself held a journal and read about the facts that were inside of it. Cedric was at the lead. He felt as the oldest one there, he should be the leader. Even if he was just a year older.

The three eventual made their way to the cave. Jack stopped looking at it. His heart made its way to his throat as a lump formed. Even Abby seemed intimidated by the cave. The inside was pitch black as of it were a black hole, and the stalagmites hanging down, looked as if they formed teeth.

One thing was certain, this cave should be undisturbed. Otherwise, in at least Jack and Abby's mind, they would be eaten hole, forever lost in the eerie darkness that was the cave...
