Han and Leia ran through the icy tunnels of Echo Base towards the waiting the transport. The ground shook. Threepio followed them. Leia walked outside to the south slope staging area where the GR-75 transport Bright Hope waited.
"Han come with us. You know that bucket of bolts will never get off the ground. "Leia said. "I am not leaving her. "Han groaned. "Princess we must hurry. "Threepio shouted. "Goobye Han. I will see you at the rendezvous. "Leia shouted as she ran into the transport. Han and Chewie ran back inside as the tunnel collapsed behind them. Luke reached the south slope just as the Bright Hope took off. In the Falcon Han and Chewie struggled to get the ship's engines started.
"How's this? "Han asked. Chewie growled back. Darth Vader marched into the base with snow troopers around him. Han and Chewie tried to take off. "Let's hope we don't have a burnout. "Han said as he started the engines. They suddenly shut down. "See! "Han shouted. Hans struggled with the settings as snowtroopers started setting up a large laser cannon to shoot at the Falcon. A blaster dropped from a hidden compartment and blasted them all. Finally, the engines started, and the Falcon flew away. Luke saw the Falcon take off and boarded his X-wing with Artoo. "We're going we're going. "Luke said to Artoo as he took off.
As the Millennium Falcon flew towards the imperial fleet Han saw Leia's ship. It was getting hit by turbolaser fire. The ship shook violently.
"They got our main reactor we have no choice but to return to Hoth. "The captain said. "We go back there, and the empire will capture us. 'Leia shouted.
"We have no choice but to land. "The captain replied. Han saw Leia's ship head back to Hoth. Smoke poured from the engines. "Great Now Leia's ship is going down. We should go back for …." Han was cut off by Chewie's loud growling. "Star destroyers! Hang on. "Han shouted as he swerved from the star destroyers and was attacked by Tie fighters. Han flew away from the fleet. He dove between three-star destroyers two closing in with one behind.
"Asteroids! I see them. They would be crazy to follow us in there. "Han said as he flew into the asteroid field. Tie fighters crashed into asteroids and exploded. Han flew closer to a big asteroid's surface and through a narrow opening in a canyon causing the rest of the fighters to crash and explode. Han flew away from the asteroid field.
"Where did Leia say Luke went? Dagobah. "Han asked himself. Chewie growled. "We are going to need his help. "Han said as he tried to jump to lightspeed. The engines started and stopped suddenly. "What? "Han said as he ran into the main hold to troubleshoot the engines. Han climbed out of a pit in the main hold. "The hyperdrive motivator is damaged. We have to find a safe port to repair it. "Han shouted.
The Bright Hope landed back on Hoth. Everyone left it and imperial forces closed in. The rebels fight snow troopers at first. Soon two AT-Ats arrive along with several AT-STs. "Surrender rebel scum! "Shouted General Veers from his AT-AT. A star destroyer descended from the sky above the rebels' heads. An AT-AT lowered its body to the ground and General Veers came out. The rebels threw down their blasters and waited for General Veers to speak to them. "You will be taken aboard the Star Destroyer Devastator above you and interrogated. "Veers said. "Of all the irony. That is the same ship I was captured by above Tatooine. "Leia groaned.
"Princess Leia. Lord Vader will be surprised that we have captured you. "Veers said.
Vader was outside Echo Base when Veers called him on the comm. "We have captured a rebel freighter with Princess Leia aboard. "Generals Veers said over the comm. "I am on my way. "Vader said over the comm. He headed to his shuttle. Transports began picking up the rebels when Vader's shuttle landed. Leia watched as Vader approached her.
"We meet again Princess Leia. You will lead me to Luke Skywalker. "Vader said. "I won't let you hurt him. Monster! "Leia shouted. "Let her go monster! "Threepio shouted. "You dare threaten the one who built you? "Vader asked. "I was not built by a Sith Lord. "Threepio replied. "I was not a Sith when I built you. "Vader replied. "I suspect Bail Organa had your memory wiped at some point which is why you don't remember. Why would he bother? "Vader asked. "You were adopted Leia? "Vader asked. "Yes. I was. "Leia replied.
Vader began searching her mind with the force. Leia tried to resist, but Vader was too powerful. Suddenly he froze up. "I take it your suit doesn't have built in heating. "Leia asked. Vader saw Leia's birth. "Leia! "Padme shouted after she was born. "Anakin I am sorry. You are forgiven. There is still good in him. "Padme said as she died.
"Nooo! Angel, you gave birth and forgave me. Palpatine has betrayed me in the worst way possible. "Vader shouted. "Angel? Who is that? "Leia asked.
"You are my daughter. Take her and the protocol droid to my shuttle. "Vader ordered. "Lord Vader I just had a vision of my mother dying after giving birth to me. She forgave you. "Leia said. "I had the same vision. "Vader replied. "Where is Luke Skywalker? "Vader asked. "He left already in his X-wing. "Leia replied.
"What do you want with Luke?" Leia asked. "He is my son. I was Anakin Skywalker. He is a threat to the empire. "Vader explained.
"The empire is wrong for the galaxy. No one wants to be oppressed. "Leia said. "It is the only way to bring peace and order. "Vader replied. "It is a failure. People what freedom to pursue their dreams and not be forced into submission. "Leia said. "Democracy failed and that is why the empire was created. "Vader said. "Palpatine made it fail. How could you not see that? Why would you become a Sith? "Leia asked. "We will discuss that later. It is painful to think about. "Vader said.
They soon approached the Super Star Destroyer Executor surrounded by other Star Destroyers. "You fail to save the Death Star and get a huge new command ship? That doesn't make any sense. "Leia asked. "It is to be used to hunt down the rebels. "Vader said.
